She was pretty easy, and very helpful. Gave out pretests that closely resembled the actual tests. Plus she is pretty hot.

She is the fairest grader, her tests are a joke, plus she makes math fun. When she tells jokes just laugh and fireback, she loves it. Too many nerds in my class with no humor, which sucks the living daylights out of math. MATH 401 rocks with McGarry. :)

Very good teacher. She has some nuerotic tendencies but she is a good teacher. She gives a quiz before the test which is just home work. Do your home work or else! you will get lost when it comes to tests. Stay up on home work and redo your tests. Very much like a high school teacher.

Not like my high school teachers- I did awful in high school. Both A's in McGarry's classes & no cheating, I swear! Not easy, but she walks those of us math doesn't come easy to right through it. I wanted to send her flowers, I was so grateful for a teacher that I could understand anything with!

Truthfully, I couldn't stand McGarry as a person (very very annoying), but I will grudgingly admit that she was an excellent professor. Is helpful, answers questions clearly, and gives tests based off of homework and lecture. Excellent preparation for Math 401.

I would recommend for anyone considering taking any math class. Is a bit high schoolish b/c she makes you keep every assignment quiz and test in a organized binder which she collects and grades at the end of the semester. Is one of the best I've ever taken. Fair grader and excellent at explaining.

She's one of the best teachers in ARC. She makes math fun and easy. I hated and failed math in high school but I'm getting A in her class right now. However, you still need to come to class everyday and do all your homework. It's really not hard, you'll see.

VERY high schoolish. treated us worse than any HS teacher I ever had. she is intollerant of questions that are outside of her tiny world. very condesending. major control issues. mrs.mcgarry was so wonderful and made getting up at 8 in the morning not-so-painful for those non-morning people out there. my suggestion would be take a class that has as many days in the week available (ex:mon-fri or mwf) so you don't lose your consentration. do all your homework and attend classes. i hate math, but she made it do-able.

Young teacher with great teaching skills. Goes slow, stops when you need her to, creates a relaxing environment to learn. She is calm, patient and lets the class come around until she moves on. She is a great teacher who explains how to work out problems step by step. She can be a little impatient sometimes if she thinks you should already know an answer, but otherwise she is great. I would highly recommend her as a teacher. I wish I could take her for my next math class only she's not available.

I was in the same class as that last wad and I can tell you he is wrong. Mcgarry was patient, caring and was always there for us. (I think that last guy was the Dumb### that didn't kow how to ask a question!) I got a B but I deserved it.

This is a fantastic teacher. She only gets frustrated with the students who don't study. Study and ask questions when needed. PS. If you're one of those who constantly raises your hand, only to hear your own voice...SHUT UP and maybe you'll learn something. This teacher gets an A+ from me.

She's goofy, fun, and really gets the knowledge into your brain. Small things like singing to the transformers song "FOIL in disguise!", repeating phrases like "draw the line...change the sign" make learning the material much easier. She has awesome office hours, and grades homework and tests right away. I plan to take all my math classes from her.

Just TAKE HER. She's so upbeat and that helps make the class go by much easier. Math seems so much more simple when she teaches. She's also entertaining sometimes, so it makes paying attention to notes easier. :D Do yourself a favor and take her in whatever math class you need.

I was in one of her first 310 classes and it was amazing. The material got more complicated as we went on but she kept it really easy to understand throughout. Did not use a book at all, (so keep good notes, you'll use them like a book) and you should be fine. Only a few tests but not hard to get a B and with some work, not hard to get an A.

Very good teacher! She would teach not only how to perform the calculations, but why and how they worked. Taught math as a whole, so you understood the concepts and could perform better on your own. Do the homework and ask for help when you need it. Highly recommended! I love math now, and switched my major thanks in large part due to her.

Ms.McGarry is GREAT! I am not a fan of math and I was able to maintain a high B all semester. She explains math so students actually get it. She even sings and has great ways to remember formulas. She give practices quizes for all exams, DO THEM AND YOU WILL PASS!!!! She cares about her student passing so do the work and study.

Textbook was useless, but in-class lecture and notes were invaluable. Extremely helpful and clear in lectures. Does not drop any tests, but gives sneak previews on what's going to be on them and allows notes. If you're diligent, do the homework, and take notes in class; it is extremely hard to fail.

Math 100. Great teacher. Probably the best math teacher I've ever had. Knows her stuff, extremely helpful. Homework load is not to heavy but must be attended to everyday...it's not overbearing but will help you learn the material.

Try 2 b there everyday, do the hw(assigns alot less then most teacher) make sure to do the take home quiz cause that is basically the test. she also allow calculator on tests. YES, take her class. 100% Satisfaction. Just don't be lazy and slack off. Homework is each chapter section about 20 questions or less gives you the day after the class lecture until midnight the next day to finish, so it should be more than enough time to complete. Also provides practice test before the actual test and it's really useful.

Amazing professor, she loves helping her students if you have any question she will make sure you understand the answer to that question. her Homework are on my math lab and if you still have any questions from your homework she still tries and helps you with the questions as well. even if math is not your favorite subject, you'll still enjoy it.

Professor Halseth is the first and only professor in my lengthy school history to make me aware of *why* things work as they do in math. She takes the time and makes the effort to allow an understanding beyond "add this to that then divide by this". Understanding *why* has given me new confidence and capability I never experienced in other classes.

Professor Aileen Halseth is an amazing professor. Coming to this class, I was a bit nervous. She helps you when you ask questions. She takes time going over everything and uses color coding to show each step. She gives a pre-quiz, which is easy to do and tests are similar to exams. There is a lot of extra help you can get through tutors. Easy A+

Professor Halseth is an amazing teacher. She clearly answers all questions the class and has many tutor options. Grades tests casually allowing partial credit. Make sure to keep all homework, tests, and in class notes! Binder check at the end of the semester which can save your grade from the final. Homework is mostly online through my math lab.

Best professor I've ever had by far. Goes above and beyond for her students.. Show up everyday, do your home work, study for your quizzes!! She even gives practice test that are very similar to the actual chapter exam! So there's no reason you should fail! Almost everything is done online on mymathlab so no book to lug around :)

She teaches in a very easy to understand manner, and she lectures at a reasonable pace. She also makes sure to ask if there are any homework questions that need to be addressed in class, and puts a realistic due date on all assignments.

Professor Halseth is true blessing to my education. This was my third attempt at STATS 300 and she made the concept easy to learn and was always ready to assist. She genuinely cares for her students and is very kind as a person. If you're looking for a Prof who knows her stuff and cares about you as her student, I cannot recommend her enough.

Although I received a C+ this course was simple to take despite my laziness. The professor replied to emails quickly and she explained the steps of the homework clearly. She used MyMathLab, where students can access video lectures and textbook problems. I would take another class with Mrs.H. :)

Mrs. H is an awesome professor. My class was entirely online and the program she used allowed you to retake problems and assignments until you got it right. If you just put in the time and do the work, you'll get an A. Would definitely recommend her.

I took Prof. Aileen Stat300 and Math100 classes this semester and she was great in both! all STAT300 material was on My Lab website, very easy to navigate,they were really clear and easy to understand. I'm going to be honest STAT300 is not an easy class but with Prof. Halseth she will present it to you in the easiest way STAT can be presented!

Very good stats class. Hw, and sometimes a chapter quiz or discussion, every week (can retake unlimited times). One midterm and one final (worth a lot of points each but open book). The chapter video and notes are super helpful. Please pick up the notes' packet! It is so helpful!

She's is the absolute best!! She has handouts to go along with the videos and other handouts that are filled in. I highly encourage everyone to take her class. Super easy and straight to the point. Don't get me wrong some chapters were more intense than others but the handouts are helpful. STATCRUNCH will be your best friend.

I really like Prof. Halseth a lot. She is kind and provides copious information. However, I probably wouldn't take her again ONLY because her teaching style and my learning style don't match very well. HW, quizzes, and exams were all online. HW and Quizzes can be re-done as many times as you need, but midterm and final can only be taken once.

She is very kind and makes sure her students are being able to understand what she is teaching.

Overall, she's a very good professor. I took her for Statistics and the class went smoothly without hiccups. The material in my opinion wasn't hard if you read the book, watch the online lectures, and look at the notes under the chapter modules. I think her husband is also a Statistics professor and she uses his videos and it helps very much. 10/10

Took STAT10/300, easier than I expected, Professor Halseth was very accessible outside of class. Handouts are very helpful, make sure to use your resources. Make sure you know how to manage your time with homework and tests. Would take her again!

Great professor, her recordings are what helped me pass her class. She doesnt curve her grading, does not offer extra credit, but does allow late work with a deduction. Lots of homework. Mymathlab is what is used. One try for tests and final. Her energy is amazing! Take her, does not get better than Math with Misses H :)

She is a good professor. The only thing that you need to do for Stat300 is watch her lecture videos carefully. Review the completed notes that she post every module. Her lectures and notes will help you a lot for quizzes, HomeWorks and exams. There HomeWorks every week, quizzes every chapter and two exams (midterm and final).

8-week Summer: Mrs. H was very thorough with her lecture videos. She created her own note sheets that are available to print or pick up. She also provides "completed notes" that you can compare with your own. The homework and quizzes can be taken as many times as you want up to the due date. Workload was not overwhelming. Great professor.

Professor Halseth's STAT300 class is great for online learners. The video lectures, comprehensive notes, and unlimited homework/quiz retakes make the workload manageable. I found Unstuck ai particularly helpful for quick concept explanations and practice alongside the course materials.

I had Mrs. Halseth for a full semester taking introduction to Stats. First you need to purchase tech for the class called My lab. The lectures where she takes us through each problem are so helpful and I am rather bad at math getting all D's throughout high school so I am amazed I was able to pass but overall its a very clear class.

There's a ton of homework and 2–3 hour-long videos each week, where she explains every step, plus quizzes with unlimited retakes (but you must redo the whole quiz). One midterm and final. If you watch all videos, take notes, and ask for help, you will easily pass.

Yes, it's yet another glowing review for Mrs. H. I was very intimidated by statistics going in, but her style of teaching clicked with me. She combines great lectures with a bit of humor here and there. There's no secrets. She shows you what you're expected to know for the tests and goes through the concepts in her lectures and notes. She was actually really cool. She was very patient with the class and was able to explain everything as many times as we asked. She didn't rush the lessons, if you miss a class she will email you a video of the entire lecture so that was quite helpful to have the notes infront of me at home and still be ontrack with the class.

I had Mrs.Halseth for beginner statistics and she has been the best math teacher I have ever had. I have always struggled with math but she was very clear on the material. She goes step by step in class and takes questions on each step. She also allows time to do homework in class so she can help you. She is the mot helpful teacher I have had.

Her lecture is clearly arranged, divided, informative, and comprehensive, and she goes slow on it. Homework and classwork are easy if you pay attention in class and spend a little time revising the material at home.
