Class seems easy because she is a good teacher, makes class fun, is clear in presenting material and expectations. Requires a number of somewhat difficult essays but she is very helpful with these if you have problems. Very nice & friendly.

Easy online open book quizzes, seems to base grade more on improvement than against a standard, pay attention to her instructions and criticism and follow them if you want a good grade, helpful & nice

Aimee is an awesome teacher. Her class is very fun and she is always willing to help you out. She is very fair and realistic in grading. I definately reccommend taking Aimme in any communication class.

Great proffesor. I personally had some issues understanding the examples/scenarios provided on the tests;however, she's fair grading and help you to understand. I recommend this class to everyone including ESL students like me

Ms. Dubois rocks! Her class involved work but she made it easy by making it fun and interesting. Very easy to approach with questions/concerns regarding the class. It was the only class i looked forward to going to!!

Aimee is a good teacher that helps you understand how to cohesively think as a group. She adds fun and humor to most learning enviroments. She'll keep you there all night, but it's well worth it. Ask her for DQ, she might just take you up on the offer.

Boring class. She doesnt grade fairly. She also mentioned that she doesnt shave her legs during the winter season...grossss. Her tests are all based on her power point. There is really no point of even buying the book because all test questions are from class discussion. Save the money and dont buy the book.

Amiee is a great teacher. Pay attention to the side stories that she tells, because she asks random extra credit questions on her test.

Great teacher... grades fair accordingly to your skills. Makes the class fun if you have questions ask...very helpful...SUPER NICE Would recommend... However don't waste the money on the text book I never bought one and did fine on the quizzes...(they are online and very simple) show up for class and participate and you will do fine!!!

Good professor, grading was fair. Pay attention to her personal stories, even if you couldn't care less about them. She'll ask about them later for EC points. Seems weird but makes sense as it is a communication class after all.

Exams are based on lectures, a few questions are from the textbook though. Her teaching style is straight forward and clear. If you answer questions on exams/assignments throughly then you will earn all the points. :)

great teacher jokes in class and helps you with your assignments as long as you schedule with her. shes nice and always is in a good mood. take her for sure i got an A in her class and hardly studied. oh and open note and book quizes easy, easy, easy

Loved her & her class. She was a very straight forward & easy going teacher. Love to show movie clips & added humor into her lecture. Just be sure to show up for class, attendance counts. Easily approachable & an easy grader. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Oh, extra little tip.. she loves to quiz you about herself for extra credit so pay attention!

Aimee was the best! Very fun atmosphere, but she stuck to the subject and taught effectively. (She is definately a Public Speaker) The most fun I've had in class, and she is REALLY easy to talk to outside of class. If you try hard, and don't give up, it's an easy A.

Loved having Aimee as a professor. She is very clear about what she wants from you. You are expected to meet outside of class with your small group. You get the same grade as your group for group projects, but Aimee is a fair grader. I would definitely take a class from her again. She has lots of fun stories and games to break monotony.

I love Aimee, she is great and very helpful.she makes herself available for students who need help.It was so hard to leave the class, a lot of us actually stayed after a couple of minutes to say our goodbyes, it was actually very hard for me.I was deathly afraid of taking a speech class but aimee made it a smooth as possible and very fun!i enjoyed!

Don't miss any quizzes! Write your speeches on time, and have a good attitude. That's all she really asks. She was one of the most AMAZING teachers ever. I really wish I could take another class with her. [Oh, and save that makeup coupon!]

Friendly instructor. Tries to make the class fun and provides a variety of activities during class time other than simply lecture. She sets clear expectations and provides thorough feedback on assignments and projects. The difficulty of tasks seemed average to easy but a disfunctional group could complicate the majority of coursework.

Aimee is an excellent professor who utilizes a variety of assignments to engage students. The experience papers for Intercultural Communication are a great example of applying the course to the real world. Show up to class and do your work and you'll enjoy yourself. Aimee is great.

TAKE HER CLASS! She is by far one of the best teachers I have ever had. She gets a little off topic every once in a while but she is very helpful, and makes the class fun and interesting so you remember what you're learning. However you don't ever have to touch the book!

Study Abroad Class. Wonderful Teacher. Asignments are easy but very relevant to the class. If you want an adventure take a study abroad class, it is worth your time.

Very good. Connects subject material to the student's lives extremely well. One of the best I have had.

She's a good teacher and very passionate about what she does. Go to class and do the work and you'll get an A. The only thing I didn't like was there were WAY too many papers and tedious work. If you want a class where you are only graded on tests and don't enjoy writing papers, pick a different instructor.

I took her for 2 of my communications classes, hands down my favorite professor at Normandale. I would strongly recommend her. Her classes aren't the easiest, but they are very fun to take. She really does a great job at getting everyone into the subject. Sad I'm going to transfer, she's one of the best there is. :)

I love her! She cares about her students and is truly passionate about the subject. Her lectures are very interesting, which helps since the tests are based half on lectures and half on readings. The book isn't a textbook, just a regular book which helps with cost. A lot of work is in teams, including tests. She averages test scores from the grade you receive on your individual test and also your group test, so your score always goes up! The content is really interesting and pertains to real life!

She is very clear of what she expects of you. Tests are individual and then group, so grade is an average of both scores. Extra credit options available. She is very flexible on test questions, so argue away.

Aimee was awesome. She was one of the few teachers that would actively check up on you and offer lots of help. She is passionate about the class and she has an awesome and straight-forward curriculum.

Aimee is the best teacher I have ever had. She really cares about her students and remembers things you have told her. She also has the best examples while applying things to our lives & she's very funny! I wouldn't say her classes are easy "A's" she's just so good at explaining things it can be an easy 'A' but you still have to put the effort in!

I would highly recommend taking this class. I was worried about taking a communication class, but I'm glad I chose her. You do group tests & lectures are easy to follow. Although, attendance is mandatory, this isn't a class you'd want to miss. She really cares for her students & is very easy to talk to. It's an easy A as long as you show up.

Aimee is a teacher who you can tell really likes her subject and cares about her students. Sometimes the readings and notes can get kind of long, but I would take a class with her again in a heartbeat.

Aimee was a great online professor. She is easy to get in contact with and gives feedback fairly quickly. There is a lot of reading, short quizzes, and notes. This was an easy class and I enjoyed it.

Aimee gives you a rubric for everything. So you know exactly what she's looking for in each assignment and discussion. You need to participate in discussions and there are unit quizzes. There is no final or midterm for this course. As long as you participate, you'll be just fine.

The material in this class is easy to understand. The tests are very specific to each module. Participation matters and goes towards grades. Very strict on cell phones, even if its used for her class. A lot of interaction and talking to peers. Homework/assignments should be detailed. Modules are long to read. Overall a good class.

Aimee was great and made this class really fun! I took the hybrid version and loved it. She never really lectured, more of talking with your peers and group discussions. There were four tests, some in-class assignments, and online modules with little 5 point quizzes at the end that you can take as many times as you want and for the 5 points.

More work than I expected for a hybrid communications class but I couldn't imagine taking it fully in person. Sometimes I felt like our little class time was unnecessary. Just stay on top of reading and study for tests you'll do fine.

Professor Aimee is hands down my favorite teacher Ive had so far. I took this course online, Her class was very easy to understand and her grading was as fair as possible. She is also very understanding and shows clear care towards her students. Unlike many professors Ive come across, she really preaches what she practices!

Interpersonal communication She is a good professor, we dont get very many assignments we met once a week and we had like at most 3 assignments a week which is pretty easy and they dont take too long. TAKE GOOD NOTES. She allowed us to use our notes on our quizzes and we only had 7 quizzes no final exam. Overall would take again

I didn't think I would like this course, but it ended up being the most interesting class I have ever taken. I learned so much because of Prof. DuBois' lectures. It's a lot of homework, and time consuming, but it gets interesting after a couple weeks. She cares about mental health and is committed to helping students.

I was initially hesitant to take a communications class, but this class was fantastic. She makes the modules herself which I think is actually super neat. Furthermore, it's typically split up so you don't have to do too much reading for one week. I think as long as you read the modules and pay attention it's quite easy to do well.

Aimee DuBois is a great professor. I'm not sure what everyone is talking about with the time spent in modules. Just take the notes quick and you'll be fine. Her criteria and setup for the class is very straightforward. You take the notes, the quizzes, the unit quizzes, and a few assignments. She also isn't wordy with announcements and whatnot.

I took Interpersonal Communication as an asynchronous course. She doesn't require a textbook, instead you do online modules that she made. Each module has a 5 point quiz and for every 4 modules there's a unit exam. There is no final. You also have to do 3 assignments. She is amazing and helpful!!

I liked the way she set up the course, the modules and quizzes. She gives you a selection of 13 assignments to choose from but you only need to turn in 3 of them. I learned a lot from her modules and applied what I learned to my day to day life, both I, and people around me see a huge difference in my communication skills because of this course!

This course was super easy and insightful. There is no final for this course, and the pace is easy to keep up with if you are taking other classes. It is super easy to get an A in this class, because you can retake the modules. There are unit exams in between new modules, and those are easy since they are based on what you read. No textbook needed

I enjoyed this class so much! The modules were easy to understand, and the tests and assignments were not that difficult. She is very flexible with her grades. I misunderstood one assignment and was allowed to do another without penalty as she takes your highest grades. This class was very engaging. I recommend this class!

Overall very good

Easy class that you can work a little ahead in. Can re-take quizzes until you get 100% if you want. You can have 2 attempts for tests, but your score is the average of the 2 attempts. Learned a lot about communication.

I really enjoyed this professor and this class. Just make sure you do the work (not a crazy amount) and you will do very well.

The modules are straightforward, and the assignments are flexible. While there were some communication issues, the professor is overall helpful. I found unstuck ai super useful for studying and boosting my communication skills.

She created her own modules for this class, no textbook needed! Short quizzes at the end of each module that you could retake as many times as you wanted. And as long as you took notes on the modules, you could use them on her tests. Pretty easy A in my opinion!
