she definitely had favorites and was easier on them. Don't take her summer course-it is very hard to do the work she gives in the time alloted.But, if you can take her class at another time, you can learn much from her. Just make sure she likes you

I survived Szilagyi 3 times, going for 4. She is one of the most understanding professors I've come across at Middlesex. Very helpful. Leaves an impression on you for the rest of your life.

This professor came on very strong, and seemed very tough, but I learned the most from her so far. She made me work hard, and I am grateful to her for that. I will take classes with her in the future.

Most of you people that are saying negative things cannot even spell....No wonder you had difficulty passing the class...bottom line, if you have a sense of what you're doing as well as reaching out for help when necessary, you will not have a problem. For all the others-GROW UP!

She's verrry organized and knows her stuff. She does like the better students best though which wasnt me but i still passed so im happy.

She's very strict, but fair, and by gum you'll learn how to write an essay the right way! Don't be discouraged if she comes off with an attitude during the first few classes - I think she likes to put you on your toes - then when she sees you're going to work, she softens up. Plus, she's always available for questions and advice.

Execellent Professor, very demanding but has great teaching ethics. If you are weak at history like myself I recommend taking this professor she will work with you and gives you handout for your research paper that pretty much gives you step to step. I enjoyed the class and I learned alot as well.

This teacher really did teach English. Yeah, she was kinda rude sometimes and demeaning, but she tought REALLY well and I learned how to do a research paper. I feel ready for 122 now. You should take her if you want to learn and work to get the A.

One of the best professor i've had at Middlesex. She teaches you how to write proper sentences for research. For the research paper she assigns all you have to do is follow her directions and you will get a A on the paper! If you want to learn take this professor!

AMAZING ENGLISH TEACHR. dont be scared of her on the first day because i was and in the end her true colors show. She is extremely nice and helpful. takes her job and herself a bit too seriously but in a good way. feels more like your boss than a teacher. pay attention to her instructions and be polite, try not to ask dumb questions or make her repeat herself. tests and assigments are relatively easy if you are an experienced writer; if you are not then there are a lot of instructions to follow, and a lot of technical and mechanical issues she focuses on. allows for late assignments at the cost of a letter grade and no comments or corrections.

I agree with the previous post, she does act like a boss as opposed to a teacher, but despite her blunt, intimidating, conceited attitude, there is something intriguing about her style. I'd take her again. She's different, not your everyday cookie-cutter professor. Someone who brings in real world and different examples.

This teacher walked into class on the first day and came off as a complete B! and she was one. but as soon as everyone in the class becomes comfortable and begins joking with her, she will start to warm up and be a great prof. just watch out because she makes you do alot of busy work in the books. She will "however" help you with any problems.

Loved her. She is a real tough cookie but very funny and understanding. She is not easy but not that hard. She took us step by step for the research paper and I really learned. Always gives you a chance to rewrite and do better. Take her if you want to learn but you are going to write alot.

She is a morning person for sure, she is bright and kind. She is always willing to answer any and every question. She REALLY likes math, so its good to take a teacher who actually has interest in the class. Tests are fairly easy and she makes passing seemingly care-free.

World Lit was a tough class for me but I faired pretty well. Even though I know I didn't get all of the symbolism behind a lot of the stories I was am to write my ideas clearly enough that I got decent grades. If you keep track of her responses to the questions and study those for the test then you will do fine.

I went into this class thinking that she was going to be horrible but she was actually pretty good. She was understanding when I was having computer issues. This class is all papers so as long as you write well and use MLA you will do fine.

This woman is SCARY. She's mad intimidating, and won't take crap from anyone. Don't ever try to argue about anything with her, even if you know you're right. That said, she's VERY direct. She lets you know what she wants in your writing (which you do a lot of). Because that's her teaching style, you don't learn a whole lot. Avoid if you can.

Tough lady but can teach. I am glad I stayed in the class because i really learned to write a research paper.

Being an engineering major, writing research papers isnt exactly my cup of tea. She made the research paper be written in steps which really helped. shes very intimidating and wont take any crap from you but she knows what she is talking about and is a good teacher.
