She is the worst teacher to get!!! Butchers the papers during conference then grades them even harder!!! She teaches a Comp 1100 class like it is a level 4000 class.... ease up!!! Don't take her... and if you get her... DROP IT!!!!!!!!

Very hard grader...tells to how to change your paper in conferance then you fail after you change it all and turn it in for final grading.
SHE IS TERRIBLE!! About 90% of my class has below a C average right now! My grades were 57,60,67, and 68, if that tells you anything, and I was valedictorian of my high school! She grades based on her opinion! also, watch out for miss zwerling the GTA!
This class was by far the worst class ever! She grades incredibly hard. Butchers papers! She has a strange way of teaching! I didn't like it.
Expects your writing to be as good as Hemmingway. Grades intirely to strict and incorrectly. Does not give you feedback or guidance on past papers.

Told me she didn't like me style of writing, and gave me a C in the class. This is interesting because I made As in Great Books, and almost an A in my first English class at Auburn. Better win a pulitzer to get an A.

This class was very hard, if you ask for help on your papers she will tell you what to change to make it better and after changes you still get a bad grade. Lectures are interesting to say the least, but it doesnt make up for the difficulty.
She is the worst teach that I have ever had. She grades like a crazy person. You can ask her a question about your paper and she will change it for you and then you will still get a bad grade. I got a D in her class and that is not like me at all.
Not very good at all. I would suggest not getting this teacher.
She is a really nice lady who is willing to help you understand what she is looking for in her papers.
Read the others that are bad, and that is exactly what she did to me. She says one thing and does the oposite. I am finishing Comp 2 for the second time and I now have an A. All I can say is that it is amazing how similar all these experiences are.

Nice lady. Grades hard, but if you ask her questions she will get to know you and know you are putting in some effort and will help your grade.

Class is hard, but the lectures are interesting and you do this thing called learning. i got a 38 on my first paper, but if you turn it in you at least get a 50, on the 2nd paper she really helped out and i got a 95, plus I LEARNED SOMETHING!!!

This teacher is out of her mind. She threatened to fail my paper because it didn't have a paper clip. Gets off subject so easily. GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN
This class is just three hours out of 17 for me and yet I find myself allocating more than a third of my studying time on her pointless abstractions of things. Counterabstracting is the only way to get a decent grade. Keeping a good grade in her class affected my grades in all my other classes. RUN!
This lady sucks. She is very misleading and very unhelpful. Is it a good sign when you start off with 27 people in the class and end up with 17 at exam time? She is also crazy and talks about the most random !#!#. Get out of her class unless you want an F.

Yeah she sucks! Like most classes you learn something....yeah this one, not so much! Um I have no idea what she expected in this class. I got an A on the first paper and that's it after that only C's. You will get a good grade if she likes you but I must have screwed that up, my final grade - C.

I absolutely loved this woman, she was so funny and made the class enjoyable with her jokes and stories. She is a very difficult and demanding teacher, but if you put a lot of creativity and effort into her class, you'll get an A. I really enjoyed her class a whole lot.
She was tough, and the papers got progressivly harder as the class went on, and I am really not a better writer b.c of the class. Shes nice, but is immature, and treats the class as such. Be prepared to dance, sing, and listen to pupperts give lectures. The final was easy though, so meh,your pick

If you have just recently signed up for her class, get out now! She is the hardest prof. I have ever had. She is a total grading terror! She is really understanding if you have family problems, but will kill your GPA and has no sympathy! Wastes time on dancing and singing with puppets. Get out!
I liked her a lot. She is goofy but we need a little goofiness now and then. Who wants to be serious all the time? She was a character but her papers were difficult. She is all about "critical thinking" -think beyond the obvious- Just show her you're trying and I think you'll do fine. I got a B...

Do not take this teacher... She is crazy with her grading. Any paper that I took time to write, I failed. The papers that I wrote the night before they were due, I got an A on. If you absolutely cannot avoid taking her, write all your papers on boy/girl relationships. Only ones I got A's on.
easy to understand and helpful. be careful to write what she wants to hear tho. i got a 92 a 98 and a 50 on my papers. last is worst of my life. i realized later it was on immigration and she is first generation american. go figure. thats why most all english sucks, its so subjective.
Schneller seems like super **** when you first get in her class and do the first paper... you should know rather quickly if she likes you - if she doesn't, get out! Tip: LAUGH AT HER JOKES!!!!
She was a very entertaining teacher but very difficult. Her grading is random and you never know what you are gonna get on a paper. You could spend 6 hours on a paper and still get a D. Or you could spend 1 hour and get a 98. Make sure that you ask her what she wants out of the paper. Often times your ideas will be shot down by her. Nice lady.

In high school, I hated writing papers but now I love it. She is really helpful and understanding. Don't wait unitl the last minute to ask her to help you though. Great Teacher!!

Any good rateing this teacher recieved she most likely gave herself.
She is the one of the nicest and most helpful professors I have had at AU. She's not easy, but she's not hard. All you have to do is put forth some effort, and she'll meet you half way. I'd definitely take her again. Plus, her class is fun, too...never a dull moment with her!
I love her. If you had a good high school english background, and you know how to write, you'll breeze through her class. Her research papers are only 5 pages...so much easier than my high school...take her if you can...she's great.

She's a condescending ****, who refuses to recognize your work. I had a gta proof my paper twice and the writing center proof it once before she graded it and they both said it was good. she ended up giving me an F
She is very hard... I would advise not to take her! She will tell you revisions to make but you will still need to make a ton more if you want an A. All you need to know is DONT take her!
Dont take this teacher, she is horrible. You leave the class on a daily basis feeling as though you havent learned anything. I went to class everyday, and if she doesnt like you it's completely useless.
I loved her when I had her. In my opinion, you're an idiot if you don't make a B or an A in her class. It's really not that hard -- just listen to her and figure out what she wants, then write that. I had a 97 in the class, and that's all I did.
Ms. Schneller is a sweet lady, but her class is difficult and her essay prompts are so obscure. She doesn't explain things well and when you have a conference with her, she will make suggestions for your paper but then later on, she will say she never said any of that before. She gets pretty upset if you don't bring the book to class too.

Terrible teacher, made high B first paper of Comp 1 low A on second mid-low Bs on rest when i stopped trying. This teacher 65 and 70 and worked harder than Comp I, revised multiple times to get a 70. Get out is all I can say.
Good teacher. I learned a lot. Don't take her if you aren't willing to work hard.

Kind of an odd woman. She once brought a puppet to class. She doesnt have any tests (at least not when i had her two years ago). You just write papers. She grades the papers kind of hard but you meet one on one with her before you turn it in (where she will tell you what to do to get an A). I ended up with a C in the class but didn't try at all.
I was out for a couple weeks with the flu & when I came back, I had missed 2 papers. She told me to just drop the class, but it was already after mid-semester, so I got an F. =/

She does not explain anything whatsoever and I went in for help all the time, did what she told me to do, and made C's on my papers. Went to the writing center for help constantly and I still got C's or high D's. RUN if you can. I worked my butt off and made a C.She has favorites in the class and I obviously was not one of them!!!

I enjoyed the class. She is a hard grader, but if you ask for help, she will sentence by sentence tell you her ideas. She is funny, and this class should be an easy "A" if you spend a bit of time on each paper!
DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! She comes off as a very nice lady and will help anyone with their paper; however, I worked my tail off and barely escaped with a C in the class even after following hers (and the writing centers) instructions to the tee. Do not even consider this teacher because unless your one of her 2 or 3 favorites youll make a C or less.
She picks favorites. She is inconsistent in what she teaches. She only read the first 4 pages of our 10-12 page research paper before she graded it. If she doesn't agree with your opinion on your research paper she'll lower your grade. Not a good choice of teacher at all.
Schneller isn't a good teacher. She tries, but English isn't her first language so she knows all the little rules we all forget. She grades papers completely unfair. People work for weeks and get Cs and Ds while others spend hours and plagiaries and get As. Her husband is an associate Dean so she is not going anywhere anytime soon.
Do not take this class, you will regret it.
Don't take this class. Switch out if you can. She appears at first glance as a friendly, grandmother-like figure, but you'll quickly realize that she pretty much thinks everyone is stupid. She will make you feel incredibly dumb. If you don't have a perfectly correct answer on a paper she'll call you out on it. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.
While I did enjoy her class, she is extremly difficult. You have to work for every grade you get, but she will give you what you deserve. She is helpful, and tries to make you feel comfortable.She offers bonus points too.Do not take the class if you aren't prpared to work.
Bottom line, take another class. She's awful,and you'll regret taking her class. It doesn't matter how well you write, she won't be happy with anything you write and will low ball your grades each time.
Drop her class immediately, especially if you get her via TBA. She is horribly out-dated as far as her teaching methods go, and her curriculum approach is too random and unorganized, making even great students lose patience. Drop her class as soon as possible.
