In Professor Abraham's class you will learn a lot and he is not boring like most of the other History professors. Hi is also one of the smartest people you will ever meet.

prof. abraham is a great teacher and the funniest teacher i have had at john jay.

Kool & great professor for history. You learn a lot in his class & keeps you interested with stories & lessons. You won't fall asleep. Gives a midterm & final. As long as you take notes & read a little, you will do fine.

Professor Abraham is a funny man. He makes you laugh and has great stories to tell. He makes history fun. I strongly suggest you take him.

Very good professor. He's always upbeat when he is teaching, and very funny. I'm glad i'm taking him for His232 for the Fall.

I took him for both history 231 and 232, he is good and all but he just doen't give A's, but he will give you an A-. if you can take him, he will make you write a lot so be ware.

Don't buy the textbook or his book for class it's not worth it save your money. All the notes you need to pass he gives you in class. It;s a really easy class. Can be little boring but still good.

He's a great man. I loved his class sooo much! He doesn't pick on anyone, unless he's joking around but you learn alot in his class. He is very intelligent. There is no HW, one paper(2 pages)on his book which is short,miderm and final, that's it.Take him!

The Best Professor you can ever have.....

Funny little man that knows his stuff. There's a paper you write on his book about Christianity and Islam. The book is excellent and his ability to convey information is very good. There's one midterm exam and one final exam. Easy essays for both, in-class. Overall, one of the best experiences you will have @ JJAY.

To those who gave him a bad rating, give me a BREAK! If you couldn't hack it, u should have dropped the course. Yes, he spoke fast, but I got the notes I needed and I passed! Everyone should take His31 w/Abraham, he's the best professor, HE'S CLEAR ON EVERYTHING. There are just the 2 exams and a paper. It was PLEASURE being in his class.

He's a great professor, I learned a lot from him and his stories are engaging. This course is an easy A, u don't really need the book because he provides a lot of info. Just 2 exams and a paper on his book. I don't know what was wrong with those who gave him a bad rating, I took good notes despite the fact I can't write fast, and yet I got an A.

The best professor at JJay.Two test and a final paper.If you take good notes you will be ok.In my case I read the book any way, but w/the notes you will be fine.I get an A.Those who gave him a bad feedback is because they don't really attended to his class or either are really bad students. Abraham help you, he does not do miracles.

People don't know a good professor when they see it, the people that complain must not be doing too well, I recommend him fully! He's great, he's energetic and his stories are fun, they actually teach you something. TAKE HIM! Only 2 exams and a paper, simple.

If you do not like History, he wil bore you, but i think he adds spice with his little stories. I read the text, which is alot, and I combine his notes in order to pass.For History you must read, there is alot you have to know. However, his lectures guides you on what to focus on. i received a B in his class and i rarely opened the book. he is pretty easy. note: this about three years ago when i took him but i doubt he has changed

He's a funny teacher and the class's content sucked but he managed to keep me awake for it. I took this class in the summer but it was worth it. only gave 1 midterm, 1 final and a book report that only had to be 2 pages. both the mid-term and final he told us the essay question beforehand so u could plan it out. but do ur work cuz he's a hard grade

Even though I'm not that interested in history he did manage to keep me awake with his funny stories. If you take good notes you don't have to buy the book. He's really nice and very, very knowledgeable. You better believe I will take him again when he starts teaching HIS232.

Although history can be very boring, he made it interesting. He talks alot, but take notes, because all of what he says can be used for the midterm and finals. I didn't even need to use the book, i just used his notes. There were 2 exams and one paper.

His requirements is a midterm, a paper, & a final. Be sure to take lots of notes because all he ever does is give notes in class. Therefore, buying the textbook may not be required, but may be useful for the exams. He has a sense of humor that keeps the class interested in History. Overall, he's alright.

I loved prof. abraham. He talks fast, if you cant take quick notes, do not take his class. He is an amazing professor.

I didn't like the fact we had to read his book just to prove to the history dept. we can read & write, he should've gave us options. Very funny and students only get 2 tests 1 essay for midterm, 2 essays for final plus 1 book report which doesnt count toward your grade..TAKE HIM the best in history department

Hes a very interesting guy. Very funny to listen to, and is full of knowledge.His small stature and fast talking are entertaining. with that said, i HATED his book. ironic that somone so interesting could put you to sleep when they transfer their thoughts onto paper. do well on his exams and grade should be OK.

He is very smart prof. he gav 3 quizzes which were difficult (but then again i didnt read the book) n a final n midterm which i got an A on each since he gives u the questions b4 hand. he is difficult but if u pay attention ull do well. i got an A in the class n i never read the book. i paid attention n took ALOT of notes. he is a sweet n realistic

He is a great professor. I don't understand the horrible ratings. I got an A in both 231 and 232, and history is NOT my best subject. He is enthusiastic and interesting. I think some people just need to get to know him better.

DR. ABRAHAM IS A VERY KIND MAN, BUT HIS QUIZZES ARE QUITE HARD AND SOMETIMES MEANINGLESS. THEY ARE HOWEVER FROM THE DEPARTMENT AND NOT FROM HIM. I GOT A B AND BOTH OF HIS CLASSES. I love the way that he tells history in story forms.

He tends to speak quite fast, but if you pay attention you'll do fine. I took history with him for a summer session, 6 months work in 1 month. He gives 4 m.c. quizzes because of the department but their not hard,as long as you pay attention to what he says in class. The mid-term was simple and we were all well prepared for it. Awesome teacher.

He is great! his teaching is clear and he is extremely understanding. Having any problems talk to him in advance and he will try to work something out with you. I took him twice. all he wants are the facts and he lets you know what to study a week b4 the test so your not wasting time and energy on topics not the exam.

This class is good for someone who likes to take a lot of notes. His classes are based lectures only, plus two tests. I have to say, he's funny.

if you enjoy history, take his class he makes each class interesting, plus his life stories is interesting... i would take him again if i had to take another history course... plus be prepared to speed write or bring a recorder

This was probably one of my favorite classes last semester. He's an excellent teacher. He tells you to read the text, which you should! I rarely did. Tests composed of multiple choice and an essay! And the book report is an easy grade!

He takes attendance every class but you can easily say you were present, just came in late the next time you come to class because he asks you and as long as he doesn't know you well (ex. you actively talk in class), you can easily pull it off. He is extremely easy; you only get a midterm and a final which is in essay format.

He is one of the best professor in John Jay. He truly makes the class very interested in HIstory. Midterm and Final which are Essays and a multiple choice test anywhere in book and a Book report thats not graded. The lowest you will get is a B if you try you will get a A your choice. It was very enjoyable over the summer.

Abraham is an expert in his field. NOO hw. Midterm/final 30% each, 10q. multiple choose exam 30%, attendance 10% n book-report that he does not grade. Midterm/final both essay form in class. Gives u the essay topic week b4 the exam so u can study. *Do not talk in class. Recommend only if u can memorize a DETAILED essay 4 midterm/final. Got an A.

Professor Abraham is a really interesting professor. I enjoy most of his lectures, but just a few were boring. He is an easy grader: one midterm, one final, ten multiple choice questions, and a book report (which is not graded). My advice would be to memorize the essay before the midterm and final. He would give you the questions for the essays.

Professor Abraham is of the best professors I've ever had, he's a veryyy easy grader, no home works, a midterm, paper, and a final. His classes are very interesting and he could help you with anything you want and even extend time for you when it comes to handing in the paper. HE IS THE BEST!
