Great class. I must say it was difficult following his lectures, but the readings were all interesting. Your grade in the class, especially the difference between an "A" and a "B," depends quite a bit on which reader you get--and believe me, you want Awwab. Enjoy!

Gregor is absolutely the best Prof I had at Cal. I look back to his classes and wish I was in them once again just to hear him yell at some stupid hippie. He is a brilliant academic and one of the worlds greatest experts on 20th century revolutionary movements. Take a class from the man, just don't be late! Excellant Prof!

I do not see how all the praise for Gregor is justified. True, he does hold a unique view on fascism and the political spectrum, but this simply is not a good class. Class is confusing as hell. The essays were jokes, and Awwab is the worst, most pompous reader I've ever had. Straight A student, but this is the only C i've gotten. PLEASE AVOID.

I'm at work and wondering if he is 2) still alive and kicking and b) still has the word fascist carved in his door? Honestly, by far an amazing professor. He took my head out of my you know what. He's about hard work and accountability. A lot of students in my course could not understand this because they were not raised to.
