Mr. Kreimer is a very helpful and friendly professor. He always makes jokes in class and he gives great lectures. Be prepared before you get in his class,he will pick you to answer his questions during the class.
Be prepared before you go to class. He will randomly pick you and fire questions at you. You have to read the whole chapter before you attend his class. It requires a good amount of work but he is worth it.
Prof. Kreimer is the best teacher for auditing. He is very good at explaining stuff. His workload is much better than other teacher. 1 midterm, 1 final, 2 essay, 1 group project and homeworks every week. His test is quite hard but you got a cheat sheet. I'll take him again for senior seminar :D
The best professor for teaching Auditing. The workload as the other student said is much lesser than other professors that teaching the same course. Only 1 textbook required. I would want to take him for Senior Accounting Seminar.
Great teacher. Clear, willing to answer questions. Be prepared before you get to his class. Read material and listen to the "stressed comments" when he says them in class. They will be on tests.
This professor is so easy. You get to bring formula sheets for the tests. Online homework is very easy too. Very laid back class.
For business purposes, he's the kind of professor you hope you get to give you a decent preview of what the real world is going to be like. He'll tell you how it is but has a sense of humor (kind of lame) about everything while trying to teach you as best as he can. extremely helpful
He is a great professor--he makes exceptionally boring material bearable. He is the type of professor who bends over backwards to see his students succeed. He applied a lot of business logic and other business disciplines to accounting. If possible, take him. Textbook not required and webassin is only $20...not too shabby for a course.
AJ is the best professor teaching Auditing at Temple. He's very nice and friendly, always willing to help his students. The course is tough, material is dry, but he makes it easier and interesting. Only 2 exams, 2 essays, 1 project and HW for every chapter. Be prepared before going to class, he'd randomly ask students to answer question in class.
he makes auditing very easy to understand. there are 5 quizes, 3 exams and 3 papers in class. but, don't worry about quizes, u can easily cheat.
AJ Kriemer is a terrible professor for accounting, he just reads off of powerpoint slides that he prepares. He gives up homework and quizzes without going over the material. We go over a few problems in class which is helpful, but overall you have to attempt to learn everything yourself, t.a.'s are tough graders as well. not recommended
Nice guy but rushes through material and does not adequately review material before exams.
Class is boring, exams are hard and he doesn't prepare you for them.
Really positive and happy guy that bring a lot of energy to class. Format of the class consists of reviewing powerpoint slides but he is willing and able to clear up any questions. HW is online and has unlimited attempts, easy "A". Online quizzes are pretty easy as well and follow the layout of the hw. Exams are pretty tough but are curved.
If you're a good student and actually want to learn something, he's a great professor to take. He's enthusiastic and clearly cares about his students.
he helps as much as he can. he provides powerpoint, class capture and all hw is online. you actually rarely have to go to class. but he tries his hardest to make a boring subject interesting. good teacher, actually wants students to succeed.
Not a great teacher. Goes over powerpoints that don't help you with homework or quiz. Lots of chances to boost grade with side assignments. Tests are difficult, and quizzes are examples that you will never see in class
so anything you hear in class is useless. the examples you go through are easy compared to the test and theres not enough time to take them. i got a c on the first exam and he said maybe i should drop when i asked for help.
Stupid stories. Insults my intelligence
Took him for auditing and sen sem, great professor, really wants everyone to succeed in class and real world. Some of the material is very dry, but he helps along the way. Better than the other profs teaching the same subjects.
This was my second time taking ACCT after flunking it at Penn State, but Kreimer is just a breath of fresh air as far as ACCT professors go. Exams are very fair, and he counts the best one twice. He curves everything 10%, which is great b/c it's easy to lose track of HW & quizzes. He's also a super nice guy in person and quirky in class. Take him!
he s the best best best accounting teacher!!! super nice ! super helpful.he doesn`t like student show up late. He would answer ur questions no matter how long it takes! take the class u will love accounting.
Overall, Kreimer is one of the best accounting professors at Temple. His exams are multiple choice and fairly easy IF you study the material. He grades the papers pretty hard but allows you to resubmit them for additional points. He is personable and genuinely cares about our education. I would definitely recommend him for auditing.
Ok overall he is a good professor. The exams are not easy you do have to study and read the book. The papers are graded hard but he allows you to resubmit for a higher grade. Lastly the group project is straightforward and he is helpful with that.
Great guy but terrible professor. Didn't explain problems or equations, basically have to teach yourself or rely on tutors. Everything is online, quizzes, home works, and midterms . He barely does any teaching that actually shows you how to do the online problems. His inclass examples don't help.. very frustrating
Very helpful professor. I know many people who were having problems, so you really need to pay attention in class and do the homeworks, they really help! All exams except for the final are online, so you can use notes or a friend.Overall, a very good and helpful professor and I would definitely recommend him.
Prof. Kreimer is a nice guy, he teaches accounting well and he goes through a lot of examples which is important in this class. Most of accounting is done online anyway so your teacher doesn't play a huge rule.
Good teacher. Laid-back. exams are 50 MC, fair. Papers are interesting. Rarely actually gives the quizzes, usually just issues 10/10. One of the best accounting teachers I've had
Kreimer is a great professor, he makes accounting as enjoyable as it can be. A lot of the required work is online but going to class helps.
Kreimer is annoying but I loved having him. His class is not mandatory but I only skipped 2, got a bunch of extra credit and easily got an A in the class. There are only 2 tests and the final was difficult, but do all the homework and quizzes (both online) and the extra credit (online) and you will do fine. Use Online textbook!!
Very easy class. Get the electronic textbook
Kreimer is a great guy, but not the best professor. The way he explains things in class can be confusing so if you want to do well, you really need to spend alot of time on the hwquizzes. Plenty of extra credit opportunities. His TAs are dbags though and play favorites when it comes to asking for help. They assume everyone just wants the answers.
The class is essentially online. 2 in class exams are 60% of your grade. He's a cool guy, but his teaching style is very conceptual. Everything is computerized and his notes are hard to follow. And he unfortunately has rude TAs who look at you like you have 5 heads if you don't understand something. Not a bad professor, just not my type.
Kreimer isn't the best professor BUT he wants everyone to do well. He actually cares about your grade and gives you all the suggestions in the world to help you do well. If you go to lecture and GO TO THE TUTORING CENTER you will be fine. You MUST work at it and put the time and effort in. Do that, and you will be fine. Challenging, not impossilbe.
Nice guy has the grading set up well. There is a HW assignment and quiz due every sunday. He offers a lot of extra credit opportunity. Powerpoint's are posted online, study them AND read the book and you will do well. I personally did not attend lectures I just studies the text and did very well.
40% of your grade is online & the other 60% is from 2 in-class exams. The homework & extra credit (5 Pts) are very tedious. If you don't do well with the online work you can forget passing this class. The 40% is pretty decent if you don't test incredibly well on his midterm or final. Plus the final is very hard. Focus on the online work & study.
The class was huge and he did a decent job at lectures. Honestly accounting is mostly self taught. But he is there to help if you have questions. You have an online homework and a quiz every week due Sunday night. Plenty of chances for extra credit. And tests aren't very hard.
Very professional. Fair to everyone. Gives extra credit. Clear grading criteria. Many opportunities to improve your grade. Do the practice exams online. Final is very similar to that. Try your best and you will pass with A+
Nice guy, very funny and energetic. His lecture, however, is useless. I went to every lecture and got nothing out of it, when I stopped going to class and just studied homework and quizzes and stuff on my own, my grade improved.
Kreimer is a great professor. He is very straight up and to the point. He not only teaches accounting but gives you life advice too. He gives lots of examples in class which are very helpful. Attendance is not mandatory but he sometimes gives out extra points in class which help your grade a lot. Accounting is not the easiest class so go to class.
Real nice guy with a "bad-dad-joke" sense of humor. Seminar is very different from other accounting courses in that it is less problems and rules and more talking and theory. As such, he will call on everyone randomly to talk so you need to be able to answer random questions. Its a seminar class so you should be able to talk. Pretty easy too
Do not need to go to class. if u don't read textbook u will fail. the extra credit only counts if u get below a 90 on the weekly homework, so its not worth it to go to class. homework/quiz online weekly. i got an A by reading textbook and taking notes of what i read, retaking CMQs, watching online lectures, purely self taught class not bad if u try
accounting is pretty straight forward and the class is easy. he makes it a little harder because he messes up the examples he does on the board all the time. TAs suck, lol at them.
Great professor. He keeps the class interesting and light-hearted. The class is majority student discussion, so do the required reading before and don't be afraid to contribute during class (he'll like you more for it and grade more easily). Tests are very simple. I thought he graded the papers a little harshly at times. Highly recommend this prof.
HORRIBLE professor !! Do NOT take him !! His lectures are useless , your better off going to class and learning the material yourself , offers no help at all . 60% of the grade is based off of the midterm and final both of which are extremely hard to pass . Gives ridiculous amounts of homework every week . Do NOT take him .
Rude to students, makes mistakes on the in class examples 3 different assignments due per week, some weeks 4 if there is a section quiz. is really annoying, will call you out in class for leaving or doing other things. TAs are useless. Do not recommend at all
Not the best professor, but certainly not the (Wurst lol) in the accounting department. There are three homework assignments each week (CMQs, ICE, regular homework) and they will took you several hours to complete if you want a good score on them. Lectures are actually useless. It isn't impossible to get an A or B, it just requires a lot of work.
Financial Accounting is what it is, at least at Temple. Almost all of the work is done online through an educational platform, where you'll do the chapter introductory work, homework, and weekly quizzes. Working through examples is the strongest way to retain and understand the material. Kreimer does what he can, but it is up to you to do the work.
Acct 2101 at Temple is made to be extremely difficult, that being said Kreimer did an ok job. You have assignments due on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (sometimes more) no matter who your prof is so keep that in mind. He would take lots of questions in class via text which is nice if you're shy, but overall I feel like I taught myself the course.
really mean. rude to students. not helpful. TAs are useless as well. can watch his videos on class capture so you don't have to go. Acct 2101 is insanely difficult and a ton of work, 3-4 assignments that take and hour or 2 each.
Took Prof Kreimer for Senior Accounting Seminar, this guy is the man! Don't listen to the Financial Accounting students, do your work and you'll do fine in Prof Kreimer's class. Really good sense of humor as well!
Terrible professor. The only thing that i learned in his class was bad jokes that he kept telling. I went to his office hours and he was of no help, just told me he believed in me. Don't take him.
This class was SO much work. Youll have 3 weekly assignments that you basically have to teach yourself. He reviews them AFTER youve submitted them so no help there. Also, there are 3 section quizzes with 40-50 questions on each throughout the semester plus an extremely long and difficult midterm and final. Avoid if possible.
He won't help you at all. You need to join an accounting organization, talk to one of the members and ask them how you can pass his class. The only way you'll pass his class if you do great on all of the homework, quizzes and section quizzes. Otherwise you'll fail. Accounting is difficult at Temple. Don't expect this guy to teach you.
Accounting is horrible at Temple. While Kreimer's lectures are boring, you're better off taking him than Wurst. A LOT of online homework/quizzes every week - invest in Chegg if you want to do well on them. The Midterm and Final are nearly impossible, even with the cheat sheet. Good luck, you really have work for you're grade in this class.
Great professor!
Kreimer gives you every single opportunity to pass. There is extra credit in class and twice before the midterm and the final. The online hws are unlimited tries so you can take them several times if you want the 100%. I had taken accounting the semster before and failed miserably, but Kreimer was a great professor. I completely reccommend.
Accounting department at Fox should be ashamed of themselves for having professors like Kreimer or Wurst. They literally teach you nothing. This entire class is online except the midterm and final. It's a waste to go to class if you legitimately want to learn. You'll be teaching yourself. Expect to do the online HWs and quizzes multiple times.
Most of this class is learned through the online homework and CMQ's. You can retake them as many times as you wish, so getting a good grade is not hard. The section quiz's are more difficult but not impossible. The best way to study for exams are through the additional problems he puts out. Do the homework and you will pass.
The best thing you can do for yourself is get a group of friends and invest in a Chegg account, because you will learn little to nothing from Kreimer. He came off as extremely condescending and snooty from day one, and is just flat out not a good professor. Be ready to spend about 6 hours a week on homework and online quizzes as well.
This is one of the hardest classes I've ever taken and he's not a great teacher. The homework load is manageable but the class itself is confusing. He is not good at answering questions.
If you understand your homework and you'll be fine.
The absolute WORST teacher I have ever had. You'll learn nothing from class. He is extremely full of himself and always jokes about how he will see "so many of us next semester" due to the amount of people who fail the class. Make sure you know how to learn on your own or get a tutor.
accounting sucks at temple. and whether you take this professor or the other it wont matter. pointless to go to class as it makes things more confusing. do the homeworks and quizzes and learn from your mistakes and retake them. people who didnt do well are the ones who dont like to put the time/effort into studying on their own. ez B, tough A.
Kreimer as a guy is funny and easygoing, but as a teacher you will honestly not learn anything from going to class. Invest in getting a Chegg Study account so you do well on the CMQ's, ICE's, section quizzes and get the extra credit. You get to make your own cheat sheet for the midterm & final so it's more memorization than actual learning.
At first he seems nice and funny but soon you will start to realize how much of an arrogant knob this guy actually is. The class is passable but not very easy to get an A. Its a lot of busy work and not a lot of conceptual/theoretical understanding at all.
I honestly believe that those who say Kreimer is a bad teacher don't apply themselves. Accounting is not supposed to be easy but Kreimer makes this class interesting and easy to understand. I was nervous going into the semester but after spending the semester in Kreimer's class, I would absolutely recommend. There are plenty of resources to succeed
Prof Kreimer really tries to get people included in the lecture despite the large # of people. Accounting is one of the hardest classes and its people who do not do the work that fail. There are 3 things due each week the class is time consuming and you need to apply yourself. Tip: keep retaking the CMQ's and ICE's until you get an A GRADE SAVER!
Super nice guy, definitely recommend. He tries to know the student's names (in a 300+ person class) and is always willing to help. Be prepared for 4-6 hours outside of class to do weekly homework's, quizzes, and pre-quizzes. The lower-division ACCT depart. isn't that great, but AJ is a great choice.
He is a nice professor, but his class is extremely difficult. Be prepared to spend 5-7 hours a week just doing homework and taking quizzes. His midterm and final are absolutely awful. I had an A before the final and my grade dropped to a B-. This is the most difficult class I had to take at Temple.
I'll tell you how to pass this class. Class really didnt teach me anything. I went to turtoring. If you want an A, you gotta work your butt off. Read the book. Now if you only care about passing, its okay if you fail on the exams. Get above A's on CMQs Ices and hws. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT. And kriemer wont do anything. Tutors will help you big time.
Everything is online except midterm and final, and this class itself is HARD no matter the teacher honestly, but you might as well have a funny teacher. You will have three assignments per week and you can do them as many times as you want to get a 100 and extra credit is provided for an extra 5% boost.
Exams are extremely hard. It's a hard concept to grasp. If you put in the time, do the work and study you will pass. People that complain and fail do not do the work. It is a lot of work but doable. Kreimer is a great prof and does the best someone could do in such a big lecture. He gives his students every opportunity to succeed. Tons of ex credit
All the accounting classes are the same no matter what professor. It's a big lecture and confusing class and time consuming. To pass the class get 90 + on all of the Hw's, CMQ's and ICE's (you can retake as many times), complete the ex credits, get a chegg. I got a 50 on the midterm & 65 on final and passed with a b- (there is a small curve).
Even though attendance wasn't mandatory, I was there every class. He offered a TON of extra credit and would randomly do it in class. Everything else was online and as long as you do the assignments you will pass. I'm an accounting major, went to his office hours, and he helped me get an internship. Super nice and would take again.
Professor Kreimer hands down is the best professor I've had at Temple so far. He really cares about the class and wants all his students to pass. He gives you all the right tools to pass the class. Their is also an amazing tutoring center where you can learn the material in a one on one setting if you do not learn as good in the big lecture.
Best choice for taking accounting at Temple. He really cares, it's just a difficult course but he does his best to help you pass.
Good teacher for Senior Semiar. The class is very writing intensive but we don't use a textbook. You will need to study on your own for two exams. He briefly covers the material but not in detail. Group Presentation at the end is graded by your peers.
Not a bad prof, just very difficult course. Financial acct has 3 homeworks a week, but material is difficult to retain, tests are hard and barely curved. if you want to get a good class in course you should probably study for exam a week or two in advance. Final is tomorrow and no one I have talked to feels 100% certain of a solid grade HARD COURSE
This class is hard no matter what professor you have, it is standardized across all sections. However, the professor that you have can make a huge difference. Kreimer is not a good choice for this course, you will learn nothing from going to class. TAs are useless, too much homework. Avoid this professor, take a smaller night class.
I am not a fan of Prof. Kreimer. He dosen't teach concepts well. You have to study the info by yourself. Midterm and final are really hard. Accounting is not my thing. I even got 90+'s on the HW's, ICEs, CMQs, Section Quizzes, and Contnuing problems, but still ended up with a C. Thanks to failing both the midterm and final. Hard class and subject!
Kreimer is a nice guy, Accounting is a tough subject no matter who you take. I would recommend doing your HW early in the week so you don't stress on Saturday night. Only thing I disliked was he randomly calls on people in the class, but I avoided that by never going to class. Just study hard and do all the HW it helps your grade a lot.
Kreimer is a nice person and is very easy to talk to. My problem with his course is that he doesn't tech the material in class. In class he has a tablet that is linked to the front board and has students do problems on tablet as if you already know all the material without him teaching it. You are on your own to learn the material with kreimer.
AJ doesn't teach the material related to the quizzes or the final. Most students take the weekly quiz and leave immediately after to skip his instruction time. His quizzes have errors, and I doubt he could even pass them. He has the audacity to leave his best students with sub par grades and then pretend like he's chummy with everyone. Avoid.
Teach yourself. Went to most lectures in the beginning of the semester. Then realized no need to go to class because you will be better off teaching yourself.
Honestly this class is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. If you pay attention in the lectures, do the homework and do the extra credit assignments, there is no reason you should get anything below a B in this class. Midterm is harder than the cumulative final, but very similar.
He is not good at explaining & uses longer ways to find solutions. lots of homework
Did not have to attend class to get a good grade. A lot of homework that you have to teach yourself from the textbook. Lectures are just reinforcement of material and not really teaching.
I taught myself all of the material, even though I went to class. He rarely ever did actual teaching during his lectures. There is a ton of homework due every week, easily 5+ hours a week. If you take him, I recommend getting a Chegg account, I would not have passed without it.
Theres a few hours worth of homework each week but you have to teach yourself. I expressed my genuine confusion on how the extra credit worked through a series of emails with him.... I was genuinely confused! He said I had no grasp on the material and to "take my grade and go home".. along with other comments in the email. UNPROFESSIONAL!
He did not teach or lecture as he just had his TA's write on a tablet and he assumed we all understood the material and just went on ab how great accounting was. While the tutors were helpful, if you are not a good test taker, you have no chance in this course as they are worth so much. He is not flexible at all regarding grades
If you get below a B in this class it is because you did not try and you like to blame other people for your problems.
I hate to be THAT person, but financial accounting may be the easiest Fox class I have taken. I went to class for the first 2 weeks then only went for the midterm and final. Everyone says there is so much homework, but it is just 3 things every week. I started working weeks ahead and it made it super manageable. Kreimer is nice I finished w a 98.
Trust me when I say, Acc is not that difficult of a course if you put the work in. There are 3 assignments due each week and you get unlimited attempts at each. You do not have to go to lecture, but I went to every single one and it helps reinforce the concepts you read in the book. With that being said, reading the chapter before class is a must.
Get a chegg account it will help immensely. Make sure you get above a 90% on CMQ,ICE, hw, and for section qzzes it'll save your grade. He does not teach and makes his TA's write stuff on a tablet during class but you can skip. Go to the accounting tutors they help so much more. The only way to get better is to do practice problems over.
He doesnt really teach. Youll have to learn everything on your own. Lectures are just reinforcement of what he assumes you already know. Calls on random people. Homework heavy. Difficult exams. Wouldnt recommend.
The only reason why I got a B was because of Chegg. He doesn't teach during class so I just gave up on going. Make sure you do the extra credit because it helps your grade a lot.
Professor Kreimer is a really nice person. Accounting is hard and he tries to make it bearable. He lectures a TON but attendance is not mandatory. He calls on people randomly in class, so kinda pay attention. There are 3 assignments a week, all online. There are also 3 section quizzes all online. Chegg will be your best friend in this class
In the midst of the corona outbreak, he decided to change the final exam from multiple choice to open ended along with being proctored online using webcam and sound recording. In a period of chaos and mass hysteria where many students are struggling just to pay rent and make ends meet, the professor made the biggest test of the course even harder.
He was very inspirational, encouraging, and funny. I recommend taking him and actually putting in the effort. It is not easy material so you have to actually read the textbook and do example problems. He was insanely helpful and his TAs were great
Tough class where most kids get C's, but it's manageable. If you put in the work outside of class you'll be fine... or if you use Chegg like my friends. Attendance and textbook reading is necessary, but he also records all classes so you can watch them if you skip. He calls on random people and his lectures aren't enjoyable but will help you learn.
It was hard to follow along with the content because he would often talk about random things that did not have much to do with accounting. In the midst of this pandemic, he made the final exam even harder by taking away the original multiple choice aspect. This class was hard, try to enroll in a small class so you can get more attention if needed.
This class was extremely hard for no reason. When we went online, and he made it more difficult for us by taking away the multiple choice on the final. He took away our curve. He isn't considerate at all, and no circumstance is justifiable for him. There are many assignments that need to be completed weekly that are lengthy. Find another professor
You have to teach yourself, lectures are useless and assuming you already know everything. Amid moving online because of COVID19 pandemic, he makes the final harder by taking away multiple choice and making it 50 open ended questions, along with proctoring with webcam and sound on. Also took away our curve on the exam. Incredibly inconsiderate.
If you put in the 6 hours of homework a week they say you should, this class becomes an easy A. If thats not your thing, idk if another professor has less or not. Do the cmq, hw, and ice until you get a high A and youll just need to pass the midterm and final. Lectures arent mandatory, sometimes are helpful tho.
Kreimer is a very professor who is very knowledgable and cares about his students. His lectures helped me a lot but a lot of learning is done on your own. Large amounts of online hw per week but they help prepare you for the quizzes (semidifficult) and the two exams (fairly difficult, at least you get a note sheet). Would 100% recommend him.
So inconsiderate, does not care about what his students have to say. Especially hard when online because he does not teach and calls on random people expecting them to know. Gives you no time to take 40 open ended quizzes and exams. If you get anxious and do not like lots of homework take another professor.
Professor Kreimer is an alright teacher but he spends most of his time on a single topic rather than going over everything. His homework is often confusing because he doesn't go over everything in class. He spent a lot of time yelling at his TA's to figure out the problem or do the math for the problem. Overall while he is smart he is a bad teacher
He's an okay professor. He's a nice guy, but his teaching does not pass the vibe check. The lecture was heavy and boring. It was more like a self taught to get a good grade. There's a lot of hw question for no reason and was very confusing. I have to used chegg to help me understand the concept. The exams was challenging but can do better.
I have mixed feelings about Prof Kreimer. It's like hes super nice but lowkey throws shots sometimes. And he's not very understanding. Don't expect to skate by unless you're gifted in accounting. There is so much work, ICAs, homework, mini quizzes, and tests. I will probably take him again though because you can retake homework and mini quizzes
This is basically a self taught course, Kreimer does not care about his students success in his class, a lot of unnecessary work that he'll never go over, basically just talks about nonsense most of the lectures and the midterm and final are ridiculous.
Kreimer is very dismissive and will be no help to learning accounting. He will refer you to tutoring if you ask any questions (which is also only open like 3 hours on two days.) He makes it a point to blame students for not understanding accounting. Do not take him if you care about your mental health.
AJ is a good guy but gets sidetracked easily. His lectures would start off with accounting then drift to something useless. The class is very quiz and exam heavy. You need to do prepare and do well on the homework, ICA, CMQs, and section quizzes so you have wiggle room on the midterm and final. Great guy but had to teach myself most of the time.
Dont bother going to class. Get a chegg account and teach everything yourself. Every week there is homework, a quiz, and an in class assignment. On top of that there are 3 section quizzes, a midterm and a cumulative final. He is not a good teacher at all, but he provides so many opportunities to pass the class. Dont fall behind and youll pass
Kreimer can not teach one bit. Not sure if it was because it was online, but the stuff he teaches does not show up in the homework/quizzes every week. Quizlet helped me out for the weekly quizzes, Chegg will be goated too, but I wasnt buying an account. This class is just a grind. Kreimer aint gonna teach you but he's a chill dude.
He will not cater to the needs of students. His tests are particularly difficult with little to no curve. With his ridiculous time constraints, they are administered with purpose to deter students and make the class harder. He also said on the final there would be no multiple choice questions. Can you guess what type of questions were on the final?
He was a funny guy, but called on student's randomly. There were 250 kids in the class and I literally got called on twice one class, so I decided to stop going to because I dont like public speaking. I never learned anything in class anyways and taught myself everything. homework took forever sometimes but chegg will help a lot.
Kreimer is honestly a nice guy, but his lectures will not help you at all. hw and weekly quizzes will take you hours, but you do get unlimited attempts. proctored exams which hurt everyone's grades and had too many questions for the amt of time. you'll be teaching yourself/just praying to pass throughout the course.
lectures are useless. There is a lot of homework. Generally pretty easy to pass (and get an A+) if you dedicate hours to doing all the homework and weekly quizzes. There is a lot of studying and essentially you teach yourself. I learned a lot from this course which helps me for my other courses but not with the help of the professor...
Lectures are basically useless, lots of homework and quizzes, you teach yourself everything, he is practically useless he doesn't help or answer questions, his response to a student's question one time was "Well, some people just aren't good at accounting." Can't make this stuff up, get yourself a Chegg account.
He forces you to turn on your camera, so I stopped going to his lectures. Lots of homework, quizzes and in-class activities, so be ready to dedicate a lot of hours into this class for your A. My biggest advice is to self-teach and be in a groupchat where you can learn from each other. I learned a lot from this class but not from the professor.
This was my second time taking Kreimer and I still hate the class. He acts like he's setting us up for success but thats not possible when the lectures don't match the homeworks/quizzes/tests. Both times around I had to teach myself. And he refuses to extend the time for quizzes and exams even after many complaints. Inconsiderate.
Dont bother going to lectures, theyre like mini reviews for every chapter. All I did was sign in and leave. The class is basically all Pearson so read the chapter and do the ICAs and HW and quizzes, youll do fine. He is very sweet and goofy but hes older and kind of out of touch with technology. It was an okay class but Im glad its over.
There is homework, ICA's, and CMQ's every week, the work is demanding, and the quizzes and exams are quite challenging. But, if you pay attention, study, take notes, etc., you should be fine. He does call on random people which imo is better cause you have to pay attention. The class itself is hard but kreimer tries his best to explain everything
The amount of work given every week is atrocious. You learn more from the assignments then his lectures. Accounting is stressful as it is but he does NOT make it better. Hes a nice guy but inconsiderate of peoples concerns.
Youre better off reading the text book than showing up to class, hes a nice guy but he doesnt teach very well
I really enjoyed this class and Professor Kreimer! This class helped me decide that I wanted to go into accounting. Reading the textbook is absolutely necessary, but lectures really solidify the information learned. It is a lot of work, but do not let this page scare you it is definitely possible to get a good grade.
I was stressed to take him when reading reviews, but honestly he wasn't bad. Going to class isn't really necessary but it helps. Weekly homework, CMQs, and ICAs, but okay if you read the textbook. Prof is a really nice guy and tries to keep his lectures lively. He does call on people randomly though so kinda anxiety inducing.
Kreimer was a nice guy, but his lectures didn't help at all. I stopped going because he required cameras on and would call out random people. You can get an A if you are willing to put in hours every week retaking quizzes and teaching yourself like I did, but the professor did not help. It helped that nothing was proctored except the final.
Awful, he is a nice person but tests are wayyy to long with not enough time and he gives too much homework and final is worth way too much
Kreimer was a pretty run of the mill business school professor. He wasn't great but he wasn't necessarily bad either. Getting a good grade in his class boils down to just completing busy work. The exams use the exact same questions as his weekly quizzes, so they're not too bad if you study for them. I thought this class was overall a pretty easy A.
Great prof he his a jem of a man one of the nicest people I have ever met he helped me tons outside of class with interview prep for an internship and giving me opportunities I would not have with out him. The class is not that bad also as long as you do the homework it can be a little tedious some times but get it done and you will get an A.
Kreimer is a very nice professor and tries to make the most of his classes. Unfortunately, he isn't the greatest teacher. He kind of just brushes over the weeks topics and assumes you know what he is talking about. While attendance is not mandatory, it would be difficult to pass without attending. I learned the most from repeating HW and quizzes.
He was very very nice. He was helpful and understanding with financial issues. He was a great teacher did well with explaining. He was easily accessible outside of class and has office hrs every week. The class was a bit challenging because its accounting. Chegg is very useful for this class. Financial Accounting 2101
He was so bad, I wanted to give him a zero. But he's a nice guy, so I give him... a one.
Lots of lectures that can be boring to some, but he tries to spice it up. He really cares about what he does and it shows. He allows a sheet of notes for exams and if you can do the homeworks perfectly, you should be fine.
Financial Accounting is a difficult class no matter who you take it with, but Professor Kreimer gives you all the tools you need to fully understand the material. He is very kind and understanding. He posts videos explaining how to do each problem on the homework. Be sure to watch these and it will make completing homework much easier.
Nice man but not the greatest teacher. the class is overall hard. You need to put in a looot of hours if you dont have any background in accounting. His teaching style is not the greatest. I learned mostly from hws and cmqs and icas. You got to put in a lot of hours but that might be true for all fin acct classes. great advice for careers though.
Difficult class. Online service that is used is really the sole reason I was able to learn the material and do well. Lectures are ok but strung out and not necessarily covering material that corresponds with what will be on homework. Can retake all HW, and CMQs to get a 100. Just a class you have to grind out, Prof is attentive.
Professor Kreimer is great and his lectures are awesome even though it may not be the greatest help. HW and a quiz each week that you can do a number of times. Tough Section Quizzes which aren't taken in class, but the midterm and final are easier. Kreimer does his best to help and is very nice, do the work and you'll be fine. Hints on HW help.
Kreimer is okay. This class in general isn't easy and his lectures definitely don't help with the material but hes super friendly and you can tell he cares. The best way to learn the content is to do the hw and CMQs over and over again. The section quizzes and midterm/final take questions directly from the CMQs so they aren't too hard.
Seems like a nice guy, but mid when it comes to teaching. Difficulty hearing people's names/saying them correctly, his lecture notes are kind of a mess, and he randomly calls on people sometimes. You can tell he knows what he's doing and cares for any student in the first 10 rows, but I've had better professors. Wouldn't take again, but had worse.
there's good and bad when it comes to him- clearly understands what he's teaching but sometimes under teaches or expects you to know things bc of that, he calls on you even when ur hand isnt raised but makes an effort w knowing names, and the content can be complex but at least we get numerous attempts on things. could be worse, could be better.
He's a funny guy and he does teach, but he could improve his style of teaching. I hate how he picks on random people that don't have their hands raised. It is good that he is always willing to help or find a resource to help you.
I hated this class. Professor Kreimer's lectures do not help and all the learning you do will be on the homework. Lots of weekly homework and there is 1 midterm and 1 final which are both very hard. Chegg is a must in this class as all of the homework/quizzes are on it. He forces your participation in class by calling on you.
wasn't too bad at first but it's gotten to the point where i don't even go to class anymore. he makes it harder and causes stress by calling on u at random. i watch the recordings if im struggling on my own but with the help of chegg and powerpoint slides from class, i've done pretty well so far. he needs to retire or quit soon lol
I think that Kreimer has done an awesome job teaching. He is very knowledgeable and always willing to help out. His lectures are more focused on real world problems. The only thing students complain about is that he calls on people during class but he doesn't care if you get a question wrong just pay attention and you'll know what's going on.
all of the work is online but his lecture did help me lot he's very sweet and actually cares about his students
I liked professor kreimer throughout the semester, but as a person and not as a professor. he would spend an entire class period going over one part of an 8 part ICA, keep in mind ICA stands for in class activity. when it came to the final exam hardly any students were able to finish in time and therefore got a low score due to too many questions
Kreimer is fine- funny, caring, knowledgeable. The problem is the course work. Homework takes HOURS. Tests have too many questions and not enough time. The material taught in lectures often doesn't apply perfectly to homework/tests. The final exam is 35% of your grade. I HIGHLY recommend doing the extra credit, or you might regret it.
Professor Kreimer honestly isn't that bad, I think for the most part he actually does know what he's talking about in class and seems to be pretty knowledgable. It doesn't matter who you take for this class because its going to be hard regardless of who you take. Kreimer does like to pick on people and will randomly call you out so beware.
great professor, one of the greatest at Temple. I just got a bad grade cause I half-assed my homeworks
He is dog water. DONT TAKE HIM
stop calling on people that don't have their hands raised. its annoying as hell. at least he puts his lectures up online. no reason to waste your time going to this class.
prof himself is nice. Lectures r a waste of time. homework is long and takes hours. A lot is on chegg tho. Exams r very time pressured - average was 62%. class is mid. it's possible to do well but you have to put in the work. if you do good in the HW you will be fine and you do get unlimited attempts. Exams r just the HW with different numbers.
The lectures are okay. there are 3 section quizzes worth 30% and are all online. Midterm was take home too but needed zoom recording.Kreimer is a nice man but accounting is pretty hard and i just feel like his teaching style does not work for me.
Awful, don't take
Kreimer is an engaging professor. He is a nice guy and is very interested in accounting. His teaching style will work for some but not for others. This class is tough but if you actually try to put some effort into it you should be fine.
theres a reason why everyone on here has c's. kreimers teaching style is conflicting because he'll say one thing but imply another. my grade in this class was initially a 94, but bc of how bad his teaching was, got a 42 on the final, w a 77 total :/
Kreimer is not a bad person, He's a nice person. I just don't like the class, Accounting is very difficult. Homework took hours. Section quizzes were easy. This is just one of the classes that require more attention than the others, you just have to put in the extra work. I wouldn't take this class again though. I'm glad its over.
Not a terrible professor, the class is just hard. There's a ton of material and a lot of assignments, but if you pay attention in class and use the homeworks/ICAs to learn you should be fine. A couple of section quizzes (unit tests) and exams throughout the semester. Kreimer is probably the best professor to take this with. Go to office hours
Kreimer is an awesome professor, but the class is hard. You need to take the time to study the material, understand what you are doing, and pay attention, It can go fast at certain times. If you can do all of that, you will be fine, I 100% recommend taking him.
Professor Kreimer is incredibly kind but this is a hard class. There are homework assignments weekly with unlimited attempts, 3 online section quizzes, a midterm, and a final. He does cold calls to make sure students pay attention so if you show up, do the work, and understand you should be able to pass.
I love him. Just understand that the work is something you're just going to have to do while taking this class. Lectures are very helpful if you aren't understanding a topic and the homework is frequent but not that difficult. It's all smartbook assignments.
This class wasn't too bad, if you read the textbook it, it's more helpful than going to class. If you need help outside class you can get help from the tutoring center and knack because it can get a little difficult but not too crazy. If you do badly on the midterms, you can comeback and do well in the 2nd half when you switch to managerial acct.
AJ is a great guy. He takes his class pretty seriously and also fairness in grading. Still a fun guy. Grades are weighted in a way that you can recover if you have a bad quiz or exam. Schedule office hours or go to tutors and you'll do great. People should not be blaming the prof on the class structure which he has no control over.
Will randomly call on people the entire class, don't where any clothes that stand out like hats or bright colors unless you want to get called on.
Kreimer's ACCT2101 class is no walk in the park, but with some dedication and tools like Unstuck study, you can get through it. The workload is heavy, but the lectures are engaging.
Depending on who you are, Accounting may be a difficult subject, but AJ is a great professor for the class. He is very knowledgeable and teaches effectively. He clearly walks through the content, hw assignments, and ICA's during his lectures which definitely contributed to my learning. If you want to or have to take ACCT 2103, AJ is the guy to take
Kreimer was the best teacher I've had this semester. He is incredibly sociable and kind, as well as a great teacher. He breaks things down in a way thats digestible and easy to understand whilst also making it interesting. He is always eager to help students and wants them to succeed.
Prof Kreimer is really cool, if you need an extension he will give it you. Exams are kind of hard but definitely manageable, section quizzes are open and not too hard. Do all the homeworks, ICAs, and smart books and you will be ok. Gave an extra 3 bonus points to overall grade for showing up to 80% of the classes. Would take again.
He does everything on Connect. He has just three Quizzes, one midterm and one Final, which are non-cumulative. It is a very easy class. You have to get on top of your homework and that's all you need for the exams.
Professor Kreimer is THE worst professor I have experienced. He quite literally bullies students if they get an answer wrong. Lectures are long and he cold calls throughout.
Long, boring lectures where he calls on people at random, and I found it hard to learn through his teaching style. Everything I learned was from breaking down the HWs. The exams were tough, but if u do all the hw and have attendance, you should be good. He's a nice guy and a caring professor, but I would say that there are probably better options.
He's fairly decent, a nice person. Half the time I have no idea what's going on. He cold calls, so pay attention most of the time and don't wear brightish colors or hats that stand out in a crowd to decrease your chances of being called on. DO THE HOMEWORK-- it will carry your grade if your exams don't go great. Use paper for notes, it'll be easier
He tries to make an accounting class entertaining. If you pay attention in class, you will do fine on exams, and the class gets easier after the midterm (unless you're a finance major, then the first half is very easy). Homework assignments can be long, but are either easy or just for completion credit. Extra credit too, if you don't skip class.
If you're not religious, pick one and start praying. There are no words to describe the pain and suffering I have endured from this class. He is very big on cold-calling people, so I strongly advise against wearing bright clothing or accessories. If you see his name as a selection during registration, run fast and run far.
Great class, easily understandable, came in with 0 knowledge am halfway through with a decent and confident understanding. Kreimer is super nice and office hours are really helpful! The only way to fail this class would be to not pay attention, and to half-effort the homework.
A.J the cold calling needs to come to an end. His lectures are sometimes you just sitting there and listening to him talk the whole time. His lectures and the in class activities don't help with the homework. Gives you a notes sheet for the exams. Expects you to already know stuff about accounting coming into the class.
AJ and I have beef. The cold calling needs to stop. His lectures don't even help with the homeworks except maybe one problem on them. He forgets not everyone is an accounting major and expects you to already know a lot. The exams are are mostly the same questions but different numbers from the homeworks.
Made me switch out of being an accounting major. Hated the class.
the lectures are pointless (acct can rlly only be learned through self/small group study imo) but this class is not that hard all you need is the slightest bit of resilience and youll be fine. kreimer is annoying but also enthusiastic and a nice enough guy. if you dropped acct/business as a major bc of him u werent cut out for it in the first place
People don't like his cold calling aspect of the class, but as long as you're paying attention, everything's straightforward. Very accessible outside of class as well, and always ready to help you out, whether it's with accounting or not. Also, if you attend more than 80% of classes, you can get up to 3 extra credit points added to your final grade
easy dubs AJ is super funny. I just played clash royale and slept every class and still finished with 94.
Overall pretty good. If you attend 80% of the classes you get three extra points added to your final grade. Make sure to do the homework, it helps a lot. Note sheets allowed for the midterm and final.
