Very cool professor. Not entertaining or energetic, but he has a lot of respect for his student and is VERY good at teaching what is usually a somewhat difficult and very dry subject. Would take him again if I had to. Tests are fair.
he is a good professor. He doesn't give you anything you wouldn't expect. His tests are fair. Not an easy A, but it can be if you just try a lil bit. He knows his stuff.
Really good prof. He sure knows his stuff. Really should take him if you want to learn and understand management. his exams are fair, quite easy if you read the book and take really good notes.
take him, all i can say about this prof. easy and nice lecture, no req textbook, rarely check the attendance ( not effect to grades ). all you need to do is just go to class and take lecture and good note, and u will get an A.
take notes!! very important.A lot of his questions are from what he talks in class. So come to his class and do notes.
he is anal about attendence...no matter how much u study...his tests are extremely TRICKY, boring class lectures ..-------AVOID AT ALL COSTS-------
He teaches his own stuff, most of them are not in the book. If u have questions regarding the book, most of the time he doesn't have the answers for you. Fair exams, most questions are from the note. Just make sure u attend the class n take notes.
Nice guy, easy to understand, explains very well. Tests are not easy, but very straight forward, no tricks. Based 90% on notes. Be there, take notes and you'll get your A.
Make sure you go to class. Tests are based on notes and are very fair. Do not expect the book to help you. Overall a great professor, funny in his own way and knows his stuff. Makes boring material a little more fun.
Boy, this guy knows his stuff. You don't even need the book. Just study his notes and try not to miss class. Nice grader
loved this class what can't say about mgt 3120. interesting, doesn't even need a book if u take his notes and come every class
Not an easy professor. His egzams are difficult.
if u feel he is hard, i dont know who can be easy prof to u. he is nice and very responsible ( i sent him e-mail about exam in afternoob, got reply in the same nite ) No textbook req, all u gotta do is take class and have good note. All question from note
Great Prof. one of the best. dont need a book, exams are hard tho. very practical, not too theoretical as many other prof. you'll def learn a lot.
Pretty easy! come to class take good notes/buy book from e-bay just read through it a little/Helpful repeats himself a million times/final a bit difficult.just study in depth how to solve and to projectmgt,location/takes attendence like 3times.
Very nice professor. He can really make you understand. His exams are very practical and if you take good notes and come to class, u wont even have to study tht much. No book req. - jus based on notes and no memorization!
one of the best professors at baruch. if you want to get a good grade all you have to do is take very good notes. His exams are somewhat hard. Take him if you really want to learn prod/opr management.
If you pay attention in class and take great notes you'll earn an A. Definitely not handed to you. Exams are mainly conceptual, with some problems. Book is not necessary but can help clarify. Decent class.

The class is pretty easy, not too bad...honestly you don't even need to go to class you can just read the book, all exam material comes from the book. He has a nasty attitude though, outside or after class he acts like he's a big-shot and he makes rude comments.
Prof. Das is a good professor...u will learn a lot in his class and his exams are just like his notes, but some questions are very hard which makes it hard to get an A..
Good teacher, gives thereal notes and examples.
Excellent Professor, one of the best in Baruch.Don't need the book.Just show up in class and you'll be o.k.Very little memorization required, however he makes you think which is what mgt is about.Take good notes and record (tape) the class if possible,be in class for the review & would get B or above.
It was my best class this semmester.Just come to class and pay attention and you can't get a bad grade If you do is bcause you are very lazy.Exam review is the key.Impossible to a grade like a D in Das class
This man knows his stuff. He's always prepared.Agree with previous comments.Fair in grading m/choice.Take good notes be in for class review and you're ok.Final not cumulative. Also available at his office hours. If you get < a B it is b/cause you sat on your FATASS an did nothing. For real son.Das is on
Great professor, his exams are very easy. just go to his class and take good notes, coz the exams are mainly from his lecture. Take him, easy A class :)
Great professor..very clear and you will learn a lot..i wont call it a easy "A" class is more like a easy B+ cuz there are a few questions on the test that are difficult.
HARD TESTS!!!!! This is not an easy class at all. His notes are not even clear and you will be very coonfused. Those people who rate below me must be out of their minds. Take someone if you can!!!
Horrible Professor, I got an A- but all based on my own learning. Very unprepared and disorganized
LMAO at the person who post before me..
Very horrible professor, tough and could use a lesson in respecting students
Great professor. The material is naturally hard, but Das made it simple. Just take notes and read the book as a supplement and you will be fine.
best class and professor so far in my experiences in baruch..not easy, but you don't really need the book. take good notes, pay attention and you got it..makes class very interesting..i recommend it for those planning mgt major
He is a very knowledgeable professor but you need to take a very good notes from his lectures as well as take your time and study for his exams. If you have some extra time and you are attend to major in management his classes will be very helpful.
Op Mag is a hard class. In order to get a decent grade, you are required to memorize tons of formulas , however Prof. Das minimizes and simplifies what we should memorize. all you should do to get A is taking a good note and not to be shy speak in the class. Formulas are provided in exams.
The class is not hard at all, but my advise is: Don`t miss any lectures, I mean it, not a single one. His exam is 100% based on what he gives in class. Take good notes and you`ll get your A
Take him. You'll learn AND you'll pass.
He is a very knowledgeable professor. take him if you really want to do good in your future classes and jobs. you learn a lot
No Comments
His exams are tough. He wants you to think and understand the material and thats exactly how his exams are structured. If your GPA is on a thin line Don't Take Him. His exams are brain teasers. Overall, He does simplify what you need to know throughly but can be lost at times. You need to clarify your notes now and then.
DO NOT miss any classes, I made that mistake and paid for it on final - the test based on lectures - you have to undertand the material and pay attention in class ocasionally checking with the book for clarification but no memorization involved. I heard that other professors for this class are horrible and he is one of the best.
Prof Das is the best Prof I have had in my entire life. Its so amazing the way he teaches and yes he will try to make you change your major .The guy really knows what he is talking about so be careful what you say DONT MISS CLASS NOT EVEN ONE. His test are 150 % from the notes . Take him if you want to learn operations management.Das is a must take
mean prof
Very mean. The material is tough and he does not understand that summer class at 9 PM is NOT a major class. Stats and forecasting is not for everyone. Some lectures are confusing. Two multiple questions tests: midterm 50% and final 50%. No attendance. Do not miss a single lecture. Takes him a WEEK to read scantrons! Not recommended.
best prof.
I kind of agree with the previous comments the guy is mean but he teaches the course so well that i fall in love with mgt. he made it very interested and by the way this prof is far from being stupid he is a genius . this is college guys you shoud be able to apreciate prof who challenge your brain bcs you ll have to compete in be read to work hard
Got my grade dropped from B to B- for being absent once. He's strict, his teaching style is ok. Not the worst but if you can avoid taking his class you should.
As Professor Das likes to say: "Listen buddy, this is the real world". His philosophy is that he'll lead you through the material, but on tests, it's up to you to make a decision. Hate it or love it, his methods are effective. I got an A, you can too- but it won't be easy.
KNOWS HOW TO TEACH THE MATERIAL. PRESENTS THE MATERIAL IN A WAY THAT MAKES YOU PAY ATTENTION. I DON'T KNOW HOW HE DOES IT BUT HE DOES. HIS TESTS ON THE OTHER HAND NOT THE EASIEST TESTS IN THE WORLD EVEN IF YOU STUDY, YOU MAY FEEL LIKE YOU EITHER FAILED OR GOT AN A, YOU WON'T KNOW UNTIL HE RETURNS THEM. HE REQUIRES YOU TO THINK THRU EACH QUESTION.
He is not easy. Even you record everything he says in class. You need a very good common sense + analytical skill to analysis every question in the exam. No need to read textbook. You will get an A, if you were born with smart.
NOT RECOMMENDED! He not only does everything possible to screw you up, but he also enjoys this. His midterm is extremely long and hard, so 100% you will run out of time. The final is surprisingly easy though. He is NOT helpful, and did not count extra credits given by a substitute teacher. AVOID him at all cost!
Do not take this guy. He doesn't test your knowledge of the material but your test taking abilities and your IQ. He is good at giving lectures and makes the class intersting but if you not an audit and actually want a grade this is not the guy to have give you one. Horrible tests. Do not take not even as last option.
Pretty Good Professor. Explains Corse Material in a way that is easy to understand. Multiple choice tests. 65% of the class got a B. 5% got an A. Really pay attention to the slides on powerpoint. Use the book as a backup for the notes in class, it will bring home the material he teaches in class. U may not even want to buy the book for this class!!
If you are MGT major take him, if you are not...well still take him. He is an excellent professor and will challenge you. You wont know if you did well on the test till you get it back. In his tests, the answers are never obvious. I got an A w/o reading slides nor the book. Just read the notes, no point in memorizing.
Great prof who can really teach; dont even bother buying a book. His exams are somewhat challenging as his goal is to make you think. He's also a lil arrogant as when you ask him a question, he says "u tell me." I would highly recommended him for Mgt majors!
Hard work but worth it - he seems to care about his students.
Does not use the textbook at all. Excellent teacher, all you need to do is attend the class, pay attention and studey his class notes. Both tests are easy, barely any math on tests. Highly Recommended!!!!! I do not know why others post bad things about him???
Very interesting classes. Easy test if you think and not just try to memorize material. Just go to class and pay attention every word he says-most likely it will be on the exam. No need in book. I agree prof a little arrogant but he cares about students. Recommended!
Hey! you are right. There are a lot of great Professors at Baruch who got their PHD like Das they don't make show biz at all. That's about culture. He is too old that's why he doesn't use the book.I use the book when I work with group that's why I did well in his class. the book explains bether than him. he need to be retire / receive etc pension
Strongly discourage. I made a search about his name. I think you are right. D = "disorganize" teacher A = Anti-social S = Showbiz
What's this hostility all about? He's a great teacher. If you are smart enough to be a college student, u will get a good grade with very little effort. u don't need to get the book. u don't even need the slides. just take good notes, and go over it before exams.. I got an A.
STAY AWAY FROM HIM. HE IS THE WORST MGMT PROFESSOR AT BARUCH. THIS GUY WILL SCREWYOUR GPA.HE IS UNORGANIZED, HE DOES NOT USE THE TEXT BOOK, WHICH EXPLAN BETTER THAN HIM, MAKE,UP HIS OWN STORIES AND GIVES A HARD LONG MIDTERN.SINCE, HE DOESN’T USE THE BOOK,YOU WON’T HAVE A CLUE WHAT TO STUDY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED DO NOT TAKE HIM FOR ANY REASON.
I am extremely confused as to why u all so upset with prof Das. I think he is a very good professor and I would highly recommened him to other students who are really interested in this course.
Not good at all. The book explains better than him. Very disorganized!!! He's getting old and need to be retired.
Very BAD!!! He make A lot of undergrad believe that he is the super intelligent, but that's about culture. It's just a showbiz. He makes his own story like other says and do not use the book. And you won't know what to study. I agree his name "DAS" means, D= disorganized A= antisocial and S= showbiz. That's set!!!
NO GOOD! Choose someone else. He will screw your GPA. For his name "DAS" I found a definition too. D means Dull; A means annoying; and S means senseless. HIs unsystematic way of teaching is old fashioned.
Very bad! YOU ARE WARNED NOT TO GO TO HIS CLASS. I define his name " DAS " as: D = disordered ; A = Aimless ; S = show biz. if after 3 years, you would like to review your note, his unorganized note won't help you because he teaches things he learned in the 60's and combined it with his own story. he says we can read book in the 70's for his class
he is horrible- the midterm was rediculous do not take him. had him in summer session midterm was a nightmare he puts games on his test that u have 2 figure out 4 the first time on the exam the final was easy bc i read the book. i hate this guy- i learned nothing he made up examples everyday out of thin air. hes useless. get out if u can
Strongly not recommended. The book explain better than him. He's just making a showbiz. His exams are very long and senseless because he said it takes him 5 weeks to think in order to prepare only one question. This old guy is crazy and lost his good sense.
NOT TOO BAD A GUY...AT FIRST I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND HIM TO SAVE MY LIFE AND I FELT LOST..BUT GETTTING INTO THE SEMESTER I BEGAN TO UNDERSTAND THE MATERIALS..THE MID TERM WAS HARD BUT THE FINAL WAS OK..IF U FIND A BETTER PROF. TAKE THEM BUT HE IS NOT BAD AT ALL (HE IS HELPFUL)
Very BAD!!!! Cannot teach at all. The book explains better than him. Strongly discourage! He likes making showbizz
Not good at all. He is terrible. He made his own story and his exams are very long. He doesn't use the book but the book explains better than him. He is not really good. He just make a show biz and undergrad students think, he is smart. If you read the book, you will understand the course better. He is lazy that's why he never use the book.
He is a really gd teacher.I dont know whats wrong with you guys. Just because you guys dont work hard doesnt mean you clame the professor.
Don't miss class and take notes (all of it). I didn't read book or slides. He tells you whats on the exam which should be in your notes already. Just go over the notes. Easy A.
Learn a lot from this prof. Very interesting lectures, makes you think and deeply understand the concepts. Take good notes and read them to get your A on the test. I enjoyed the course since the beginning till the end and learned a lot of useful stuff. Very recommended!
Very very bad. I strongly discourage someone to take his class. he will screw your GPA. Das means D meand Devil, A means Abolition, and s means satan
As long as you know how to take notes, you'll be fine. if you want to be ready for the real world, take him.
4 hours of operations management is hard, so beware if you take this class in the winter. Has a weird sense of humor. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to the subject, he knows his stuff. The midterm was very hard, he really wants to make you think. The answers do not jump out to you. The final was surprisingly much easier and straightfoward.
prof. Das really knows his stuff, the class was very interesting. I took his winter session, 4 hour per session and i actually enjoyed it. the midterm and final was not hard, you just need to pay attention in class and take good notes.
I took his class in winter section, I got an A with very little work. The midterm's mean of my class is 81 and the final's mean is 87. Just attend all the classes and take good notes, you will be fine.
I regret I didn't believe so many upper classmates rating on this sick professor. He cannot make students understand at all. He should not teach coz he's as dump as Baruch's stupid administration officers. Don't take him!
Took course in winter intersession. Got a B-. Can't say the dude doesn't teach and answer questions. I found him clear. This just isn't my cup of tea. His tests are difficult, but yet fair. I learned a lot, and have nothing bad to say about the guy. 2 question curve on midterm and 4 questions curve on final!!! Multiple choice tests.
He will screw your GPA. His true name is "Dracula" but not DAS
Also took the class in winter. Didn't buy a book; he gives very good lectures - take notes. I studied very little, got B+. When you take him - don't forget to study THEORY (that's where I messed up); calculations are the easy part; do sample tests several times - they are similar to exams.
Did not come to class well prepared - he stuttered and backtracked throughout many of his lectures. Many of the things he claimed were just subjective opinions rather than teaching us valuable lessons on the subject matter. I had no idea what he expected of us because he never clarified or specified anything.
Not as hard as everyone thinks - got an A. This is a case study class. He wants to see how well you can back up your analysis with hard facts. Think computations. He may be vague but he is only trying to prepare you for the real world. No additional information will be given on the case studies. Just do your best with what you have.
Great lectures. Funny and keeps you awake. The laughter stops once you take his exams. They are on the very tricky side of the scale. Do not buy the textbook, you dont need it. POK-A-YOK it, if you take the class you will understand. **BACK ROW**
Great lectures. Funny and keeps you awake. The laughter stops once you take his exams. They are on the very tricky side of the scale. Do not buy the textbook, you dont need it. POK-A-YOK it, if you take the class you will understand.
Are his exams quizzes, essay type questions, or projects?
He is very boring, dreaded going to class. You should attend most or all of his classes if you want to get a good grade. Does NOT teach from the book. At the end of the semester I stopped going to class as much. Many people fall asleep in the back. If you can take it in a winter or summer session so that you can get it over with fast!!!
Winter - Great teacher. He would've been more clear if there was more time. However, he was great with the material. Funny, Don't need the textbook. Take good notes and look over it before tests and you'll be fine. 4 hour class, he brought it down to 3. Got a 91 on midterm, still waiting for final but with a 99% CL, I can say I got a B+.
Overall a good teacher.take good notes,u would be fine for exams.I took winter session,no assg, two exams all multiples.he is funny, thought sometimes he could be very stubborned, especially when asking him questions after class,as if he thought ur questions were not that worthy to answer and explain more.
Winter 09. Really good prof. Strict on grading, believe me I know. I had a 86.7 avg at end, just needed one more Q right on either exam and wouldve had a B+. ended up with only a B. PAY ATTENTION and DONT BUY THE BOOK. i wasted $100 on it. his whole tests comes from his lecture.. get a tape recorder if you can becuz u gotta write down everything!
Although I did really bad in the class I think he's the great professor. No textbook, no homework. Take good notes. His exams are fairly difficult with lots of calculations. If you do well in STA and calculus then you won't have problem w/this class. Overall it was one of the challenging classes in baruch. Ironically I learned more then my grade sa
well if you want to be taught by the guy who doesnt speak english well and can't get accross the point then take him. Book is not needed because I have been reading it and its useless waist of time just like this class. Take someone else who will ectually teach you something, not this guy his exams are stupid and tricky.
he is a good professor, you have to take very good notes or record him. I promise that willhelp a lot!!! Book is not needed only notes and all bb stuff.
The prof. is very knowledgeable about the material and does a great job explaining. if you pay attention in class and basically write down/record everything he says then you're bound to do well. you don't need a book for this class. the amount of work you put into this class will be reflected in your grade, simple as that.
He's pretty good. Funny at times, adding humor into the lecture. No hw, no assignments, no tricks. Textbook not even needed, even says so himself, just print out the pp slides & take good notes, that's all you need to prepare for exams. I'm surprised how much better he is than the ppl are saying here. Just take him.
Wow, excellent teaching style and with a lot of humor. His final was easier than midterm even though it covered more chapters. Non-accumulative final exam with about 6 to 7 questions tricky out of 61 questions. If you want to get really a good grade, take good notes. Just don't get fooled by negative comments here. Pay attention to his examples sin
Knows what he is talking about but very boring! You must attend all classes in order to do well on the exam. Took winter semester so 2exams, all multiple choice. Hard exams but you will do well if you are paying attention in the class. Recommend taking in only in winter since it is shorter. I would have not taken him in regular semester.
best professor, very clear explanations, have to attend classes, take good notes, no book needed. Exams based on the notes.
THIS PROFESSOR HAS A SCRIPT. IF YOU ASK HIM A QUESTION OFF HIS PRE-WRITTEN SCRIPT HE'LL HATE YOU! I THINK HE'S THREATENED BY INTELLIGENT STUDENTS. I KNOW I ACED THE FINAL, I KNEW THE MATERIAL LIKE THE BACK OF MY HAND & HE REFUSED TO LET ME SEE MY EXAM! HE IS A TERRIBLE PROFESSOR IF YOU'RE AN INTELLIGENT PERSON & ACTUALLY HAVE THE DESIRE TO LEARN!
The only professor that is teaching MGT4500. EH
this professor is a top selection for 3121. you need to attend all his classes since his exams are based on notes. if u dont show up, u will b confused during the test. i got a 85.71 on the midterm and the final grade is unknown, but i got a B+. ignore all the negative comments. just take notes and u shall b fun. o yea, he like participation.
Easy class, to get a good grade u need to attend all his lectures, take good notes, understand the concept & a bit of participation. No book, no hw. Midterm & Final are straight from the lectures. I got 95 on midterm & A for the class. Best Professor for MGT 3121.
one of a kind... great man. great professor. just take notes of whatever he says and that is exactly what is on this exams. MUST TAKE HIM if there r seats available.
great prof. just take notes on w/e he says and u will do fine.
Worse professor at Baruch. The only one that teaches MGT 4500... No choice but have him. be careful!
his class sucks
He's a GPA killer. Midterms were difficult, the class averaged a C+ on both, and he didn't curve. The second midterm had around 60 questions and he only gave us 75 minutes to complete it and it was HARD. The only good thing I can say about this class is that you didn't need the textbook, but that isn't even saying much. Take some else for MGT3121
I had no idea a garbage class like this would be so difficult. Don't buy the txtbook, you don't need it. Material is from notes. Good class atmosphere. But the fun stops once he gives out the tests. No curves, if's or but's. Treats this as if it were a PHD class. Take someone else, or if possible, avoid this class completely...
The professor is fun, but the subject is not. Exams are not as easy as you might expect, so be prepared and study! 3 midterms, no project! Got an A-.
this guy isn't that bad, but 3 hours per class during the winter was brutal. his notes are good though, so it's def possible to get an A- from cramming on the notes before the exam. if you want a given A, maybe check out another prof not during the winter. no complaints overall: you get what you put in. VODKA
Professor gives no curve whatsoever...Averages the two tests and thats your grade...Have to rely heavily on the notes making attending class mandatory... Tests are not to hard but not to simple, a few tricky questions...class is an easy B/B-...
Took winter session. Class is fairly easy. Don't buy the book, everything is from his notes. 2 exams, all from notes and practice problems on bb. He tries to make the class fun. not sure what normal semester Is like but take this in winter or summer it's easier.
Easy class. Just listen everything he says, make sure you understand the concepts and you will be good. I took the class during the winter semester and even though it was long class he made it interesting. I got B just by understanding the concepts and reading the notes day before the exam. Very good professor!
he's okay. very boring and wants you to attend every class. didn't learn anything new from him. but the class wasnt hard. just take good notes and u'll be fine. don't bother buying the book, he doesn't use it. he's writing his own book and goes by whatever he posts on bb and teaches in class.
Class was fun. Das tends to rely on examples mainly to discuss the topics. His tests are based on mainly examples. However, his tests are uber-hard if you don't prepare well for it. Definitely not a study at the last minute class.
I am a straight A student and his class is impossible. He did not teach anything and the final had nothing to do with what we learned from previous classes and did not relate to anything else in class. Wish I had another option. I have never disliked a professor so much!
I liked the class even though it wasn't an easy one. He is smart and it shows. I bought a book - it was a mistake - just take good notes in class and do practice tests and you'll be fine.
Great Professor! I was able to learn a lot from his class. He only takes attendances when he remembers to. Take good notes because his tests are based on class notes, in-class discussions, and blackboard handouts and practice questions ....so textbook is not required.
He's the worst professor. I never had such bad prof b4, he gave me a WU grade when I absent 2 times and he likes to take attendance during the break. He's ridiculous, DO NOT take him.
Worst prof, he doesn't know how to teach at all. He runied my GPA and gave me a hard time. Do not take him, u'll regret it. Take someone else.
Interesting class, Das has a passion for management and it comes across during his lecture. He works hard and is well prepared to teach for the whole period even if he is ill. Awesome, hard working professor. Good luck with finishing your book Professor Das.
Professor Das is great. You will definitely take some great lessons from this class. I enjoyed taking it from him. His tests were open book as i took it during winter. However, you must understand the concept. Pay close attention to his examples and understand them. He is quite funny as well. Thumps up :)
Ok he definitely doesn't just hand out A's like candy. You have to work for your grade. With that being said, there is no reason why anyone can't achieve it. If you are hoping for a free ride, keep looking. If you are willing to listen, take good notes, read the book and go to class everyday, youll do well. I got 95 on the midterm and 100 on final.
intelligent professor who knows operation management well. Text book is useless. In order to get a good grade, u have to attend every class and take perfect notes and understand all the concepts well. Exams were fair. Got 95+ on the midterm and the final. Vodka FTW!!!
Great Professor which keeps the class awake. Tests are fair, but one bad part is that he doesn't curve at all.
Really good prof. Tries to be as interactive as possible with the class, it keeps your attention. Doesn't curve. He knows operations management and knows how to teach it well. Recommend him.
He's good but his exams are based on class and blackboard notes.Exams are based on practical knowledge about whether u know the concept. He definately doesn't curve so if ur planning to score and if u screw up in first exam then you should drop the class cause he's believe's in wht you deserve is wht u get.I guess that's the worst part of him.
There are 3 exams. All are based on class Notes and bb.If u screw ur first test then don't even think u'll do better in next exam n stay.Cause he definately doesn't curve eventhough u get 100 on other test u'll end up with low grade.Drop it if u get below 90 cause second and final are more tougher than 1st test.
He said no book, only his notes, but on 2nd midterm and final he had questions that weren't discussed in class. Final is 50% of the grade, more conceptual questions. His explanations are not very clear, did not understand the subject. Avoid if u can!!
This professor is astounding. I learned so much and his exams were very relevant if you paid attention in class. I did almost no studying, just practiced his mathematical problems 1 hour before the test and got an A. Take him, but pay attention! You won't regret it. Great class.
Don't mind the comments, this dude is straightforward. Attend all of his lectures as that is all his tests pertain to. For the exams, focus on his notes and BB related material. He outlines what to focus on during the review, so study smart. You do have to understand the material though as the questions go beyond just definitions. No textbook.
Most of these comments are wrong. Dr Das is AWESOME. Remember, people who rate on this site are usually here to complain. Prof Das's lectures are awesome and his tests are very straightforward. You have to study and come to class. Totally glad I took this professor. Got my money's worth, and an A.
If you read the slides, pay attention in class and do the final practice problems, you should do fine. If you dont pay attention and dont follow up on the work then you will do poorly. There is no curve and your grade is practically based on the midterm and the final (not cumulative). I took this class in the Winter sess which I believe is easier
Lectures held my interest and were rhetorically precise and stimulating. Textbook not necessary; just do practice problems and pay attention in class. Thank you for teaching us from your ample experience, Professor Das.
He is amazing. I would take him again. The class is late, but it is incredibly interesting. He is straightforward so be very attentive to what he says and you will get an A. You have to think a lot rather than memorize. It is good for you and even challenging. Class is going fast and I wish every professor was as engaging in learning as him.
I find him a bit rude, and very boring! Attendance is mandatory for this guy and textbook is not required. Just pay attention and practice those questions and you'll be okay. FYI there are no curves in this class so take at your own risk!
Mediocre professor like many over at Baruch and the class? geez, that class should not be part of Ziklin, it's worthless! what a waste of time and money
Do not ask him any question, because you'll never get the answer. however, his exams are MC, 2mid term, 1 final. and one Assignment. for exams, as long as you study the notes and practice the problems on BB, you'll be fine.
Definitely not a easy course, everything may seem easy but he goes in depth.. you have to truly understand everything. i did not do well my first midterm, but i have to say he's a great professor that truly cares about his students. if you're a good student, you'll do well. if you're a joke, then that is going to resemble in your grade. fair class
His class was always interesting, he gave a review sheet for every test. However the final was 45% of final grade and he made it extremely hard. It did not feel like he went over well the last two chapters which were already confusing a bit on their own. I really hope he curves the final, great guy though.
Terrible professor, hard exams, throws in a research paper in the middle of the semester when its not on the syllabus and doesn't count it as extra credit. Doesn't use the textbook and exam questions are confusing good luck taking this professor.
Misleads students and leaves them ill-prepared for his minimally quantitative exams. No textbook- Das prefers lazily scattering countless documents across blackboard that won’t do much for his students, come test time. Incontrovertibly, Das is an example of an external failure cost. Problem is it only costs you.
Excellent professor with guided real-world advice. Always contextualizes his class in terms of real-world applications based on his years of field experience. 2 reasonable exams (45/50 percent respectively) based on discussions and notes. Paying attention to nuances mentioned in class is key to excelling in exams.
I took the class during the winter so there was no time for projects. from 6-945pm four days a week I sat there absorbing all his knowledge. He is a great professor and cares about his students. The text was not really necessary but helps. take good notes! Be mature and learn.
I also took the class during the winter and must say that Professor Das is a wonderful teacher. He truly cares about his students but it is your responsibility to be mature and go through the material. Practice his questions on BB, carefully review the slides and PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS! If you don't understand, ask him. Wonderful professor
His classes are interesting but he's so unorganized on Blackboard that it's kind of overwhelming. TAKE DETAILED NOTES IN CLASS. He posts his own notes on Blackboard but they're sloppy and very vague. He will give you the impression that his exams are easy but they're certainly not. I don't recommend taking this during the winter. Don't buy textbook
Excellent professor who really wants his students to succeed and learn. Highly recommended for GOOD STUDENTS. If you slack off you won't do well in the class.
If you want a good grade, you HAVE to pay attention. It is the only way you can understand the material. His explanation are crystal clear, informative and interesting. His exams are derived from the lectures. No need to take notes, he takes them for you, and posts them on blackboard. His approach to teaching is the same as Kahn Academy.
You learn a lot in his class, however his exams are brutal. Make sure you attend class, as his tests are based 100% off of his lectures;you do not need the book at all, in fact, studying from the book will set you back as he has his own curriculum. Make sure to do all of the readings, and to practice his practice problems.
I have no other words to describe Dr. Das besides for 'wonderful.' He simply does his job, he's professional, and treats his students respectfully. It is up to the individual student to hold up his or her end of the bargain by studying and paying attention. I took his class over winter break, received a C, and still I find him to be good man.
Dr. Das is respectful. He respects his students time money and effort. Most Prof.at Baruch college stay in front of students talking b.... and teaching nothing to their students while Dr. Das simply prepares his students for the next day. When you leave his class your effort for this course is finished, Dr. Das did it for you.
Dr. Das is professional. He teaches well. He doesn't read from PowerPoint like a lot of professors do. I really like the way he teaches. You will use your brain in this class and not memorizing everything from the textbook like a robot. I will switch my major to mgt. because of this class. Take him if you really want to learn.
He is very smart and helpful. Take him only if you are ready to work hard and really want to learn a lot, and you will. The class is fun. He is always available in his office hours and he responds fast by email. Study by his notes only, the book is useless.
Do yourself a favor avoid this professor for the sake of your GPA ! He only talk talk and talk, dont even practice anything that he teach. Dont even use a book because what he teach is merely out of his brain, so he think we actually have his brain. Don't have any hw to practice you feel lost. Very disorganized. Worst professor in my entire life
You will waste your money and time with this professor. Exams are made for people out of this planet only the professor understand it. HE DOESNT SHOW YOU YOUR EXAMN so you have no clue how he actually grades you. NO HW so nothing to practice, no book so nothing to guide you. Attendance is mandatory five minutes late you absent. AVOIDDDDD HIMMMMMM
The most passionate and practical professor I learned from in a long time. Das is definitely more approachable and interesting than the other Zicklin professors. Read his textbook chapters and you'll be fine.
All info comes from his textbook (which is poorly written in the first place) and he doesn't teach or help student. Very rude and doesn't like to take questions from students. Get ready to teach yourself. He is unorganized and lazy. Don't take him unless you want to fail
Serious Students Only. Professor Das is very passionate. His exams are based on his chapters, class notes and to a certain extent, the powerpoint slides. His tests are tough. You must know the concepts in and out and truly understand the content. He does not spoonfeed things to you. I got a B- but think I learned a lot in this class.
I took Professor's winter class. It was very intense. You need to LISTEN to his lectures carefully. It is better to take your own notes. His materials are not very organized, but are common sense. I read his chapters, slides and my notes. You don't need a textbook. His lectures are very practical in today's world of business and management.
He teaches well and knows his material. His exams are hard and confusing. He doesn't care about students grade or GPA. Avoid if possible.
Took this class in summer. His class in't that organized so you need to focus on his lecture and make your own note. All exam questions are from lectures and his textbook (he uses his own textbook posted on B.B) His exams are tough and no curve grading, so you better get prepared.
Professor Das was very insightful and is a reasonable grader. You must attend and understand the concepts, but the professor does answer questions and is actually pretty funny.
Stay away from this guy
If you're ready to study on your own, take prof Das. I took him for the winter session. It was very intense. He assigned few easy problems for practice, however, the exams were extremely hard. 1 midterm, 1 final. You don't need to buy the textbook, he provided the chapters. He is funny at times , but not lenient at all! You have to work very hard!
Took during the 3-week winter semester. Grading was 5% attendance/participation, 45% midterm, 50% final. Class will be a breeze if you're quantitatively-oriented. Minimal memorization (he provides formulas on exams), mostly conceptual. Highly recommend.
Not helpful. Not good lecture
GPA killer right here! Exams are hard. 1 mid term, 1 final. No curves, no extra credit. Don't do it to yourself! Run for the hills!
He's a great guy. Do what he says and you'll get a nice grade. Study his material carefully, ask a lot of questions and study hw q's. Learned a lot in this class. Not tough at all if you pay attention and engage a little bit in class discussion. Lots of theory and calculations as well. He reviews everything before exams. Just be active
Took this class because my hand was forced for my fall semester classes. Took in the summer, ruined my GPA. No curve, hard test & your grade only depends on the two test he gives. Biggest regret at Baruch. RUN.
Awesome and easy class. Provides formulas on exams, all you have to is understand how to apply them. Gives one free question each test. Very easy to do well if you study off the Powerpoints and his study guide.
One of the best professors I ever had in Baruch. Although it was 45% midterm & 50% final, it was really not that difficult. As long as you understand the concepts and pay attention in class, you should have a problem. Almost an easy A tbh. This was a summer class btw. Highly recommended
He is actually really interesting when you take the time to listen to him, although service operations isn't for everyone. The tests are really math & intuition based so do all the practice problems. Overall, the exams could have been way harder, given the dense statistics material, BUT he felt bad for us & also removed questions we all got wrong.
He teaches but I didn't understand anything he said. There's no textbook or he lets you pick any type of textbook you want which is stupid. He had some funny moments but not my type of teacher.
Does not do test reviews and are different from what he tells you to study.
Such a horrible professor. Does not take the time to explain materials well and he is very unorganized and all over the place. His teaching method is very confusing and causes you to lose focus easily. Does not review for exams and his test are so confusing and hard
HORRIBLE PROFESSOR DOES NOT TEACH MATERIAL WELL AND RUSHES THROUGH IT DOES NOT GO OVER FOR EXAMS WHICH ARE SUPER HARD AND OUT OF THIS WORLD HE TEACHES AS IF EVERYONE SHOULD UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL RIGHT OFF THE BAT OVERALL HORRIBLE AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND A CLASS THAT I LOOK FORWARD TO I ENDED UP HATING AND LEARNT NOTHING
His test are insanely hard! & he doesn't even explain the material well unless u take the time to do so for ur self which can become annoying since his notes are all over the place. He is very unorganized & does not cover the material well. Teaches at a very fast rate also so a subject that is already challenging to understand becomes much harder
I took MGT 3121 and i was totally lost in his class. If you need to take nap best of luck, this is the right place for this kind of stuff. No book. Even if there is any book assigned for this class, you will not get test from lectures or book. my suggestion is don't take this class.
Very knowledgeable, and has a good teaching style. You need to study smart, study creatively to anticipate some tricky questions(concepts). office hours, or email on things you dont understand. The belly laugh is a boost, even in Final exam he made us laugh with one question. He is caring, but youll have to deserve your grade and thats fair.
It is a really easy class. Only one homework assignment for the whole assignment. He provide the exact pages i need to work on for the test. The class sometimes are boring because he spend a couple of lectures discussing a easy concept.
Iloooooveed this Clsss this Professor is awesome and super funny. You will have to pay attention and study and you'll do well.
He is an awesome dude, midterm easy, final was hard, I think I'll end up with a B . I liked his class overall and I think he is a good professor, definitely you will need to study a lot to get an A
He's a good guy. Pay attention- put in the effort and use your brain. You'll get an A.
This professor was taken during the winter, although he is a great person and funny at times, his class had nothing to do with 2 tests. Being a PHD achiever & writing his own book he expected you to know everything he knew& didnt talk bout anything from his book which was basicall our midterm and final. he took questions from his book for our test.
Took for winter 2017. Got a B. Pay attention to in class lectures because the examples he gives are found on the tests. Midterm was significantly easier than the final. Dont rely on some of the reviews here. His class was quite interesting and as a professor he is not bad at all. He is a PHD so expect a higher caliber of instruction.
The professor really knows the material. 5 % participation, 45% midterm, 50% final. The midterm isn't really hard, just a little tricky with the wording, but the final is a bit harder. He is really responsive with emails, and tries to always be available for students. Overall, I recommend him.
his test, one midterm and one final are both based on his lectures. as long as you pay attention on what he is talking about, you'll do well in the exams. there's no need to buy the textbook. but if you miss his lectures. you'll find his slide(PPT)is useless because it's unorganized. follow his guideline review and take note, easy A
Very interesting lecture! Prof. Das only test us on what he have taught! Make sure you understand the materials and you'll be fine. I didn't do much revision but focused on the class. It's not hard and he is a very knowledgeable professor! He explains clearly. take him if you can!
Terrible. Unclear. funny, but funny does not help you get a good grade. Hard to know what he wants as an answer. Record classes, many did, that in case you do not find another professor. Pitty.
Very funny guy, but I would stay away. He has no sympathy for you grade, and he admitted that he doesn't really give out A's. I took this during the winter session so there was only one midterm and one final. He gives you a study sheet for each test but the test is something completely different. Would definitely not take again!
Very nice professor and reply email super quick. You need to listen to lecture and take notes because he gives great examples and it will appear in exams. Also 50% for final 5% attendance 45% midterm in summer session. No homework, just pay attention to lecture. Strongly recommend!!!
Professor Das is awful. The class is hybrid so all the lectures are online and very disorganized. You will break your head over his awful online lectures. He is really obnoxious and it comes across. Worst experience ever. DO NOT TAKE. I am writing this review at 3am after unsuccessfully working on an impossible group project he assigned.
Its awful. He has heavy accent. Lectures are not understandable. I was preparing 8 days for midterm and did that bad.
Very difficult class, and you have to pay attention to lectures. Few online quizzes that are easy, very difficult midterm and final, and two group projects. Must be willing to study and do practice problems outside of class. SAM assignments worth 5% of final grade.
few quizzes online easy 4 tries for each, midterm, final, 2 to 3 group projects, SAM project 3 parts. I suggest keep up with the material as class goes on. Get an A.
All documents are on BB but they are so many files! Looks very unorganized to me, I don't like how that is structured. If you can get pass the organization, just read all slides and you'll be fine. Listen carefully in class, some of what is said is on the test. You have to form a group and then do Assignments together. Get a good group!
This class is VERY challenging. In this class, you need to know concepts you learnet in previous mgt courses. Dont come unprepared!. Get ready to answer questions to prove your critical issue and recommendations for the cases you are assigned to present. Make sure you form groups with knowledge people if not, you are screwed! Good luck
I chose him for my winter class and that was a good decision. The material is challenging. He offers to read any book but the main point is on Prof. Das' powerpoints with audio comments. The audios made me fall sleep so quick but I'd killed 2 weekends and got an A-. He's helpful, cause he knows how challenging it is to learn during the winter.
So, I took him for a winter course because I wanted to get this out of the way, but it was honestly so tough. Only graded on the midterm and final, so to get a decent grade in the class you need to do well on the exams. All his material is on Blackboard audio files. Try to take another professor is you can. Didnt like this very much.
Das does not actually care about making sure his students are learning. He spends most of class making students feel stupid for not already knowing the material and slander the other professors for not already teaching it.
The professor is nice. The lecture could be boring and confusing but the audio is really useful! I listened to them for 3 days, and got B+ overall. However, you have to devoted a lot of time for the class. Online quizzes, group projects, Sam, one midterm and one final.
Amazing professor. Makes the course really interesting and funny. I took a 5 week hybrid course, but he uploaded very clear powerpoint slides with voiceover and always responded to any emails with questions immediately.
Gives a lot of work and lectures are very dry. Very bored, and feels like you're learning very little.
AVOID THIS PROFESSOR!!! The worst professor ever in Baruch Collge. His powerpoint slides are extremely unorganized, voice over is useless! Class lectures are very bored. Learn nothing at all!
awful professor, very unorganized. his lectures and the audios make you fall asleep. AVOID HIM!
This class was held in a huge lecture hall. He doesn't even use the microphone, barely hear him. Class is half online half in class. HORRIBLE. 1Hr and 15 mins for an exam and then starts handing them out during that time and ended up only having 30 mins to take a midterm. Horrible online lectures. Worst class ever.
He is the worst professor at Baruch. Very unorganized, rude, and prepotent. he does not give o review before the test, the test is nothing related with lecture and HW. BlackBoard is a nightmare and the audios are really boring. He does not require any book. he teaches from multiple ones, which make the class even harder. Save your money and GPA.
Honestly, I was nervous to have this professor due to all the negative reviews on here, but he's not bad at all. I took him during a summer session, so the grades were based on 1 midterm, 1 final, and online quizzes. His audio ppt's explain everything you need to know, and he curves very generously. My avg was over 100%.
Super hard class, he is not a great lecturer and he is SO disorganized. Like how anyone got anything done is beyond me. God his blackboard gives me so much anxiety!!! Exams don't correlate well with the class. I would avoid..
Took during winter. Funny and nice guy. Must attend every class if you want to do good in the class. Graded on online quizzes (easy 4 attempts), midterm and final which were all fair if you study. Just study his practice questions on blackboard and go over his audio files and you will be fine.
I didn't really enjoy his lectures, very dry and boring. But I'm also not interested in operations mngt. Its mandatory for business degree. He focuses on blackboard, quizzes, audio and powerpoint, midterm and final. The tests are long and not easy.
Das is really a 3.5 or 4/5 not 5/5 but his ratings could use a boost because he is NOT THAT BAD. Textbook not required but I tried ALL OF THEM because this was a difficult subject for me. If you do use textbook go for the one by Cochon because it most closely resembles the exams. Got 100% on midterm, final was tricky. Formulas provided, heavy curve
He is such a boring professor, I barely can keep up with the lectures. There is no book so have to learn by his way.
Professor Das is a solid choice for the subject. Operations is not easy but Prof uses a lot of real world examples. His practice problems (which are accessible from day 1 on BB) are helpful and he does some in class. My tip for passing this class: use logic and common sense. Do not overthink the material. The answer is usually right in your face.
He is really chill and funny. For the summer, it is one midterm and one finals, worth 35% and 40% respectively. Quizzes are easy you get multiple tries and its worth 25%. Operations management is hard but if you take it with ajay das, you may need to self study but you will probably get a B or higher b/c he has a generous curve.
He is a great professor. I took him during the summer session. at first I thought the class is going to be tough but realized that at the end I learned a lot. 4 quizzes and you get 4 attempts, 35% midterm, and 40% final. he curved the midterm and also the final grade. he is really funny and replies to emails fast. I would love to take him again.
While Prof. Das is a nice guy, very polite and always willing to explain, the class structure is just too much. Expect to cover one million topics only for about 20% of the material to actually show up on the test. And guess what? You better study all of it because you are not told what will and will not be on the exam. Just brutal.
He is a nice man but very unorganized and comes rude at times.
Im convinced half of these reviews are from the same salty person who didn't do well in the class. This professor gives you all the info you need to pass.
Professor das is extremely rude and unsympathetic with his students. He floods your blackboard with tons of documents that are not in an orderly manner. When students try to ask him questions in class, he gives attitude back to them.... his tests are worded weirdly but he does curve. If you want a class where you can learn, dont take this one....
Worst professor, exam was super tough, materials on blackboard was unorganized
He's Okay. The subject was hard and he did try his best to teach us the material but it was just too much. He is rude and strict in a way, but that's really 90% of Zicklin profs. His slides and voice overs are trash in quality but you need them for studying. I would also suggest getting the textbook as his method of teaching is not for some.
I thought Professor Das was very knowledgable in his field. Some students struggled with his exams, and so did I for the final. But he curved the grade. If you want worth your money, you will definitely learn more than in most courses at Baruch!
The rudest, disrespectful, uncaring, blatant disregarding Professor in Baruch.
The worst professor I've encountered in 4 years. Disrespectful, unapproachable, doesn't address any of the students' concerns, and just brushes them off. Materials on Blackboard are extremely disorganized and split into million documents with chicken scratch. No backtracking on the exam. Avoid at all costs, you won't learn anything.
Online Summer 21 Class. He was very accessible in/out of Class.. NOT friendly at all, but at the end would do his best to help us, his class would be BETTER if he didnt give those LONG ASS Lectures, hes definitely a HEAVY HEAVY LECTURER, Multiple quizzes (EASY nd 3 attempts/each), but his Midterm nd Final would KILL YOU if you didnt pay attention.
The worst professor I have ever had. Very disrespectful and not organized. He is not using a book, just uploaded million files to the bb to figure out yourself. Save your GPA, don't take him. When you asked him a question, he will just ignore you. Does not give you a curve, using his own version of curve, which is not helpful at all.
MGT 3121 is already a difficult class, however, this class was so disorganized that it made taking the course worse. Professor Das expects you to listen to his audio files lectures which are extremely dull and hard to understand. His live lectures are also quite dense and when you ask him to clarify he gets upset. He doesn't curve, avoid if you can
I don't usually rate a professor, but when I saw his rating is so damn low, I have to step up. You could say that his lecture is boring, which I agree, but he tries his best to explain the material thoroughly and make us understand. This course is basically just some simple math applications. It is gross to see how others say he is hard and bad.
I've taken him twice now, and he is an below average to average teacher. His entire class are the power points he posts on blackboard; each pp is just an info dump. Exams are MOSTLY based on the pp. This man can be very flexible, or a complete stick in the mud as well. His biggest issue is teaching difficult topics by reading from the textbook.
I would not suggest taking his class unless you can listen while being bored. His ways of teaching did not suit my needs and his handwriting/note/ PPT were very dry and hard to follow.
His class is extremely hard unless you listen to his boring audio lectures. His all over the place and does not like to repeat him self. Test's are hard but he gives curve which may help if you do well but if you don't for most students you will suffer. If you can take another professor do so.
awful, you wont learn anything seriously , the fact that he depends only on his notes and no textbook to refer too is awful you will pass if its online class, but you wont learn anything
I asked for extra time on the midterm because he broke the test into two parts for some reason and I didnt take the second part. He said I could take an incomplete and retake the exam later. I didn't get back to him so he gave me an incomplete. Now I have to retake an exam MONTHS later and for what. This teacher is a total idiot.
Worse instructor
Please save your money, time, and energy. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROF!! He preach Operations but when it came to the midterm, he spent 15mins handing out the exam which cost us time that we could not get back. He is all over the place and he has notes that are confusing to understand. He doesnt record his online lectures.
Midterm, final, 3 group projects. You have to learn 50% of the content on your own. Basically impossible because of how poorly labeled his documents are. Ok at explaining things during actual class, but expects you to know so much beforehand and gets mad if you don't. Most students give up and stop asking questions cause they're so lost.
DO NOT TAKE HIM!!! GPA KILLER!!!
Prof Das is very passionate about what he teaches, but his lectures can get boring. 1 Midterm 30%, Final 40%, SAM project 5%, Quizzes 25%. A lot of quizzes and math. Lots of reading and audio lectures. Good thing about his exams is it's not cumulative. You have to self study a lot to get good grades in this class. Exams are hard.
He doesn't record lectures and his notes are unreadable and not helpful. He doesn't go the extra mile to make learning easier. Only way you'll pass is if you pay attention to every word during every lecture. 2 exams, 40 multiple choice + 20 question weekly quizzes. Honestly, if you're willing to put in the effort, it's not as bad as it seems.
Took him for the winter. He doesn't curve. Every professor I've had so far curves...
you the sake of your own, don't take him.
Kck him out of the place. He is so disorganized doesn't teach the content clearly and, even though in a very short time of class like the winter and summer section. He doesn't even curve the grade.
Very bad teaching
I took this course for a summer that lasted one month, and I would highly recommend NOT taking it because there are so many materials you need to learn for such a short time. If you want to pass with a good grade, take it in Fall or Spring semester. He explains well, but there is so much stuff you need to learn especially the Six Sigma part.
Doesn't curve and lecture heavy
took this as an online course during the summer session. Professor Das is very knowledgeable and uses time wisely in class. He gave prerecorded presentations that you could rewatch, which some were asynchronous work to do, but pretty helpful to do well in exam. I never felt the need to seek the book for this course.
DO NOT BOOK THIS PROFESSOR. . His lectures are very confusing and hard to understand. You will be expected to learn the majority of the course on your own by watching pre-recorded videos before class. He does not clearly explain the material being taught and flies through the material. Worst Professor ever
He is pretty knowledgeable in his field. I think he is pretty good at explaining things to the best extent possible. I feel that if you do bad, its most likely that you didn't study enough outside of class.
I am limited by the site's guidelines for what I would love to say. But what I can say is that his professor is horrible and disorganized; his teaching style is horrendous as it's dumbed down to him droning away about concepts he will REFUSE to stop and elaborate about. Whoever has given him a good review is either a bot or has been paid off.
The fact that this professor has not changed his awful teaching methodology for TWO DECADES straight (refer to previous reviews for this professor) goes to show that he genuinely does not care enough to teach his students. His lectures are disorganized, the pacing of his class is too fast, and he won't answer any questions.
Study at least an hour a day. Not a hard class
As we know, grades are earned by the student and not awarded on the instructor's whim - so please do not embarrass me with requests for grade changes for reasons of personal circumstances, hardships, or effort invested. The only valid reason for a grade change would be grading error. Thank you. -Ajay Das. Do yourself a favor, don't take him.
Took him for the winter as an online class and was skeptical because of the bad reviews. But he's actually not as bad as it seems. Make sure to study his audio files after or before class and you should be fine. He gave one midterm, one final (not cumulative), and about 4 quizzes.
I took winter class with this professor, as I thought operations mgt shouldn't be a hard class, but no avail. Not only the class is consussing, but he also talks too fast. He provides too many articles/notes, not organized properly; in addition all his slides are covered in more written notes, that takes forever to decode what he was trying to say.
The class can be tricky, but with consistent studying and utilizing resources like unstuckstudy ai, you can manage the workload. Lectures are fast-paced, so staying engaged is key. Overall, put in the effort and you'll do well.
He assigns pop Quizzes randomly online, to be completed. His lectures are confusing, it is more of a 'teach yourself' kind of course. There are many other better professors. If OPM is your major, I would avoid him! But if not then take him for credit. I never did badly in his class all A's but learned nothing from his teaching.
The class is not that bad. yes there are surprise assignments at time, but they're quite simple to complete. Assignments are concise. Brightspace content may be tough to manage but once you utilize the study guide the exams are quite straightforward. Overall a solid professor that makes you think about things from a business sense not just academic
I took Supply Chain OPM3710 with him. He is a really nice professor, honestly just do the work. Two exams, couple assignments, that's all. His classes are mostly hybrid, and what he teaches in class is what you'll see in the exams. Take him
Prof. Das is a great at explaining concepts of operations which can be heavy at times. He lightens his classes up with humor. He has great slides that are detailed and he provides oration that students can listen to while reviewing the slides. Overall, class is graded on quizzes and exams which are straightforward if you study and attend lectures.
great professor, clearly knowledgeable on concepts taught. Course material may seem disorganized so try your best to go through it all especially in preparation for the exams. 60%+ of your grade are the midterm +final. Choose a good group if he doesn't choose, because assignments are the other 40% and whilst there aren't many, supportive peers!
Whole class content is through bright space even midterm & final. He's got great energy & is really likeable but the material he provides is a lil confusing. It's just random images he's audio recorded over so just attend lectures & take notes for yourself. Zero hmwk. Just a quiz for each topic & midterm & final. He's very funny!
This is a Lean & Six Sigma class, it's definitely a tough course, but he makes it manageable. Just take it. He's a genuinely nice guy and wants you to succeed.
He knows what he's doing but can not teach at all.
makes easy classes so tough for no reason
I'm so glad I was able to pass with a C... he has favorites and hates on smart students
he makes u participate and counts attendance, the midterm contained nothing in the lectures
save yourself and take this class at another college
If you value your sanity, free time, or even a shred of happiness, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Sure, this is college, and heavy workloads are expected. But if you have options? TAKE THEM. If you're lazy? RUN. If you think you can handle it? You can't. This class will swallow your free time, dreams, and possibly your GPA. You have been warned
taking him right now, he wants us in class on the dot. 2:30pm. like PLEASE it's not that deep... I recently failed the midterm, talked to him for possible extra credit... denied me and embarrassed me in front of the whole class! TRUST ME, don't take him. dropping class...
Super unorganized, no textbook but wants you to listen to audio lectures before class and the material that is provided is bare bones so if you want to go at your own pace then take another class. Tbh, just take another professor if possible this one makes the class harder than it has to be.
He has a great sense of humor and explains everything very clearly so everyone can understand the material. He is generous with adjusted grades by dropping questions, and his classes are engaging. Just go to the class and listen, doesn't require a lot of time at home
