Akbar Karami is the best professor. Come prepared to class and he is worth your money. Do the assignments as prompted it will make labs enjoyable. He has a lot of knowledge. Test are easy if you study. He is a genuine person really nice and caring. Willing to work with you just talk to him.

In the beginning of the Semester I thought Oh Gosh what have I gotten myself into? But as the semester went on I began to understand him better. He wants all his students to succeed, he gives you a lot of extra credit. He's the nicest professor, he challenges you during exams and quiz. I just wish he taught Bio 142 because I would take him again!!

Prof Karami is a very kind person he's got an accent but you'll get use to it soon, he is interested in his students understanding and learning the material, he gives feedback and extra credits, most of his exams comes from the power-points. I took him for an 8 wk course so there was a lot of work great teacher but lack time given to him for him to teach us in such a short span of time made it a bit challenging

He does a good job at grading and assigning assignments. Mine was a 8 week course which has a 9 hr lecture on fri and sat so have time in advance.

Professor Karami is caring and very knowledgeable. He explains complicated concepts and requires active participation in class. There is a lot of material that needs to be covered. If you have an option for a longer session, I would recommend taking this class for longer than 6 week period.

He is a great Prof., explains the material very well, easy to understand. He gives lots of extra credits for you to gain some points. He is not tough at all, makes the class interesting and even though it was an online class I felt connected.

He is an amazing professor. I am currently enrolled in the 6 week summer virtual course. A&P is already hard in itself, but he really cares about his students succeeding and getting good grades. He offers a ton of extra credit and is accessible outside of class. We didnt really use a textbook, but we did use a lab manual book that is hand written

He is a hilarious professor. Does want you to succeed, but wants you to put effort. He will try to help you to understand the assignment. Beware of tests can be a bit tricky. Listen to his lectures, majority of info will appear on tests and quizzes. He is witty!

I honestly loved this professor, he is very kind and gives lots of opportunities for extra credit. Of course this class is going to be tough, you are learning about the bodies anatomy, so its a given that you will have to study outside of class to pass. He also puts up study guides with plenty of time to look over before the day of the test.

Professor Karami has plenty of opportunity for you to succeed. He says at the beginning of class if you do the work you will pass. He means it. Make sure you come in ready to listen and the more you participate the more points to earn to get as extra credit for his tests that yes can be tricky. Overall, I will be taking his BIO 142.

His class was mostly lecture for 2.5 hours, and the other half of the class was more lab manual textbook work, and time to ask questions and study with models in the lab. Proff Karami is very detailed in lectures; he knows what he's teaching. Homework was fairly easy, some parts in the lab manual required lab activities that we never did in class.

This is definitely a lecture heavy class, but if you pay attention and do your work you should pass. Professor Karami makes sure to ask students if they need more understanding and if they understand the criteria. Make sure to do your work and study for exams and tests to pass and receive a good grade. Your work ethic will show in your grade.

Really nice professor, he definitely looks out for his students! This class is definitely more difficult than your average community college class but don't let that scare you! The tests can be challenging and you'll have one research paper, but it's not too bad, and Dr. Karami gives a lot of extra credit assignments to make up for missed points.

Professer Akbar Karami is very lecture heavy. If this is your first time taking College classes, I would recommend to get ahead and turn in any assignments before the due dates as there is plenty of assignments and modules due. homework is almost due daily. Over all not a bad class plus he gives extra credit for everything.

Taking a six week course is not recommended if you are not good at retaining information as it is thrown at you. Lots of homework,duedates. If you like to get ahead and able to stay ahead while retaining the information I would recommend this class.

This Course if VERY difficult if you are unable to retain information quickly. If you can do it and understand and stay ahead you will be fine. Tough grader tests are timed at 60 minutes, so if you cannot type or label fast it will log you out at the 60 minutes and he will not allow you to finish. "Special Privileges" Good luck!

Dr. Karami is very knowledgeable. His lectures are heavy and he prompts the topics he will challenge in the exam. His exams are based on power point presentation and from Pearson mastering assignment. I took this class in the summer. It was very challenging to memorize everything. Thank god! he offers extra credit which saved my grade.

He loves and encourages student engagement in class activities and lectures. Although some of his courses can be tough, he makes sure to give every opportunity for students to ask questions. :)

Professor Karami has been a great teacher for Anatomy and Physiology. It is a straight forward class and he is always there to help you if you have any questions. There are multiple resources under the class modules which were very helpful to review. He genuinely wants you to succeed the class. I would take him again!!!

He is a good lecturer that doesn't only read off of slides and explains diagrams but he had to move quickly due to 7 week course. There are tests almost every week with a lot of slides and terms to memorize. There is ample extra credit and a lot of online homework and labs to help your grade. Overall it is a difficult class but not impossible.

The lectures are very long, but does a good job at explaining the material. There is a lot of material on the lecture and lab exams. As long as you do your work outside of the test you should pass just fine. He gives a lot of small extra credit, they build up and help a good amount.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Karami for BIO 141. I think he is a fair professor, but it is important that you come to class prepared and study on your own. The lab practicals can be difficult if you do not study, so use class time to make sure you understand the material, ask questions frequently, and learn the models. He also offers EC.

The professor is fine,cool,and chilling.The professor will talk a little bit about the lab itself and the concepts that we need to know. But there is something I wish he did a bit differently,which is maybe go over to the lab himself before going in with us. Sometimes he needs to ask another teacher. And don't throw away our quizzes and lab papers.

Honestly the labs were easy but some were very long. Quizzes were very unexpected on what they were going to be about. Half the time the professor didn't even know how to help us with the labs and was just as confused as us. Overall kind of a easy class but a little bit unorganized when it comes to the material

I only had him for lab (not lecture), he's a really nice guy and grades pretty fairly. He does have an accent which can be difficult to understand at times but if you ask him to repeat what he said he will, hes clearly passionate about what he teaches and is educated on the topic.

My experience with this biology professor was generally okay. The lectures were organized and many concepts were explained clearly, but sometimes the pace felt a bit fast and certain topics could have used more detailed examples for better understanding. The professor was helpful and answered questions.
