Prof Stone is pretty darn cool! He's a nice guy with a great personality. I took his class for SOC 101 and ended up taking him again for SOC 104 (both online). He is organized and straight forward. No tricks, just be careful of the deadlines for the discussions and tests. I recommend him for sociology!

I took Professor Stone for Sociology 101 online and he is THE BEST teacher you will ever have. I was nervous to take my first online class but he is so organized and grades everything on time. His instructions are clear, he responded immediately to any concerns. Do not expect long term papers, professor stone takes a unique approach which is inspiring given that it is a sociology class. He had us do a PSA video for our final project. Do the reading and you should be fine. He does expect you to participate.

Stone's discussions are straight to the point. He uses Etudes which makes the semester course map so easy to understand what is due that week and what we will have assigned the following week. Exams are also straight to the point making it easy to get a passing grade if you understand and read the material. Definitely recommend!

It's an easy class, but don't fool yourself to not study and prepare for the exams. They're online but are timed & if you make the same mistake I did and depend on being able to look at notes and the book, you will fail! Professor Stone was an awesome professor. If I could take him for sociology 101 I would but I can't hehe. He was super helpful and involved even though it was an online class. I didn't really use the book and mostly referred to his slides which sum up the lesson quite well. He tells you what you need to know on the test and rounds up the end grade!

Professor Kell is an excellent teacher. The grading for his class is fairly simple. However, the only downside to taking this class if you forget the online due dates, you're out of luck. Once you get on top of things and understand how he likes for his assignments to be done, the class is a breeze.

Interesting discussion board choices. There are video blog assignments which was a first for me but they were fun. Professor Stone makes the class interesting while you learn.

Soci101 was the first college course I've taken and I'm glad that I chose this class. I ofc looked him up on this site before I chose his class, and would say that most of the reviews here are accurate. Professor stone was very kind and fair in this course. As long as you knew what you were talking about and your response was well planned out you would get max points available. Professor Stone's online Sociology 102 class was great! You are graded on two exams (one midterm, one final), discussion posts for each chapter, and one video project. Even though the class is online Professor Stone makes it easy to interact with each other and feel more connected. I would take his class again in a heartbeat. Just do the work.

Professor Stone keeps the online lessons organized and he emphasizes that you need to check in and stay on top of reading. This is all true! He wants you to succeed and is accessible.

Easiest online class I have ever taken! Super chill professor. There's about 3-4 discussions a week but they are the easiest discussions you'll ever have for an online class. Only one reply due. Two exams (mid-term and final) and a minute and a half video for your semester project. I would definitely take his class again!

Professor Stone is a topgun teacher. He gives interesting discussion topics, that will not only help you learn about people and the differ culturs, this question make you think about your life. With that being said, you will not go wrong with Professor Stone, he is clear with his instructions and his study guides and slides are very informative.

Took soc 104 online. The deadlines and expectations were clear. The only thing I didnt like was that he makes you do 2 videos you have to post. He also doesnt give you a study guide with questions, the study guide only shows subjects that will be covered. Overall, pretty cool class. The topics on the discussions were interesting.

Look, the dude loves his videos but it's a kind of unique approach to teaching an online class. If you actually pay attention to his criteria and give the class 1-2 hours per week you'll be perfectly fine. I truly enjoyed taking professor Stone's online course. As a sociology major, I feel more prepared for my career in social work by the information gained from his courses. His discussions make students think a little bit outside of the box and reflect on their own values and beliefs. Great instructor!

Professor stone was a very nice teacher I think. When I messed up he gave me a chance even if I really didnt deserve it . I really liked this class because it really made you think outside the questions he gave you.

I took SOC 102 online, professor is very specific on what he wants us to do. As long as you follow directions you will pass the class. Exams are a little hard because it is 60 questions for 70 minutes but as long as you read and study you will do just fine. We did a couple of video assignments that were fun and different to do.

I took Mr. Stone online over winter and I enjoyed the class. The textbook explains everything very well and as long as you study hard for the exams youll do good in the class. The discussions were interesting and you could make memes for some or video blogs if you take him online. All in all, hes a great teacher and its hard to not do good.

He has very clear guidelines for the class and there is plenty of time to complete everything! He has an excellent book and the textbook for class is very affordable. Do the discussion questions and quizzes and youll pass the class with a breeze. He also is very knowledgeable on sociology. Also there are two video projects.

Please be sure to participate in the discussion posts and study for the exams. His class really flew by. it's easy to take this class as "too easy" and lose your priorities. Keep on top of it and you'll be fine!

I took this class because its a requirement for me to transfer but you will not regret it! Professor Stone is strict on due dates so make sure you do all your work! Hands down one of the most caring, inclusive, and even one of the easiest courses I have taken so far in my 4 years. I can honestly say that Professor Stone knows what he is doing when it comes to an online course. He walks you through every step to be successful in his class and he gives you the resources to do so!

Professor Stone's teaching methods are great. Very clear and concise. Always provides the students with study guides and additional resource links with the intent to help you understand the material. His syllabus is online and really straightforward. Gives great and quick feedback. No lectures just reading the text, 4 exams, 12 discussion posts based on the chapters (reply to 5 other's dp and opinion based on topic), and 3 video blogs.
