He was a very fun professor. Exams were fair - not incredibly easy, but not hard, by far. He encourages questions and makes learning physics fun. The course could have been a little more challenging though. And..ahem....hes HOT.

Great demonstrations tests ar tricky! However do homework assignments because that is where the test comes from. he is very helpful and will help you pass the course if you are struggling!

He was the most interesting, understanding, funny and helpful professor I had at Queens College. He was the BEST! He would take time out of his personal life to have review classes to help the students undertand the material. He was a remarkable professor and I will never forget him.

Such a charming man-really. Has a way with words but gives tough tests of which hw/recitation problems do not reflect the types of questions on the test. The mult choice questions are tricky and he gives no practice of these types.

Great Prof. He teaches the material with passion and lots of models. There are HW due regularly that he will help you with, though you should try to do it yourself even if it means you get it wrong, Its not worth that much to get a couple of mistakes, so don't use the answer book. 3MC tests,and they are hard but doable. Hands down the best physics prof. in the department. Explains everything clearly. Will go that extra mile to make sure everybody understands a topic. He even held extra classes on SUNDAYS. However expect to put in hours and hours studying, physics is not an easy subject. His exams are hard but if you study hard they are do-able.

His lectures are extremely engaging, his explanations are crystal clear, and his demonstrations are often quite amusing. He gives some clicker questions for participation but I still managed an A+ even though I got a few of those wrong. His lectures and the homework combined made the exams seem easy even though with other professors it wouldn't be.

Prof. Gangji is one of the best professors I've ever had. I had extreme anxiety going into physics but now that the class is over I actually miss it. Gangji is great professor. Physics is by no means an easy subject and he tries to help his students as best as possible. Make sure you do all the online assigned hw. He lets you make reference sheets for exams and gives you extra credit for doing that. He held some Sunday sessions for both classes to review hw. Wish I could take him for PH204.

If you are required to take physics TAKE THIS PROFESSOR YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. It is so rare to come across a professor as enthusiastic and inspirational as professor Gangji. (btw I hated science but he made me love it) I think Queens College needs to recognized they have a unique person on there hands, and better never let him go !

He is an easy going professor and actually helps you pass the course, rather then just ignoring you (like some professors do). He makes it so much fun! Coming into this class i was so intimidated of the material and what to expect but walking out, i understood the material better and enjoyed the class overall! Take him!!

Though physics is a tough subject, this professor made it understandable. Professor Gangji understands that not every student taking this class as a science major and really does work with you to make sure you get that B+ if you're an education major. Beware: His "jokes" can get a bit overbearing and he digresses a lot during lectures.

He's great and really goes out of his way to help all his students. Class is interesting and on top of that he's hilarious. HW can be time consuming, but just keep practicing and reviewing it and it will be a great prep for his exams.

Professor Gangji has a heart of gold. He understands that physics is a hard subject and will do anything in his power to help you pass. Best way to do well in this class is attend lecture (sit close to the front) and take mastering physics as serious as possible (no googling answers). Prof. Gangji is AMAZING. I wish I had him for every class. He is caring, funny and a very intelligent man. He presented the material in a very fun way. Used a lot of examples: lasers, toys, electricity, videos. He held Sunday help sessions, not mandatory. He truly is an amazing professor; the best. He even brought us candy on final exam day.

Gangji is one in a million. His teaching style might be all over the place, but he tries to help us visualize all concepts. Lectures are long, but informative and you never leave grumpy. Just do your best, go to as many Sunday help sessions (bc they actually help), do the hw, and answer clicker q's and you will do fine.

hes very understanding about other problems you may have going on. hes acknowledges it and tries his absolute best to work with you. BUT you have to remember its a science class so theres a mastering homework website thatll feel like the death of you but just keep trying. use hints and dont just give up and ask for the answer.

Also, wanted to add that dont let the fact that its a science class scare you, the way he teaches is phenomenal. he uses slides for the technical students that want to take heavy notes and he also doesn't just read the slide. he talks about the topic and elaborates for students who learn better verbally. Took him for PH 103 Fall 16', the guy's the greatest of all time. You're not going to find anybody more caring than Gangji. The man holds Sunday sessions just to help you out a little more. Cmon, who else does that? You'll pass if you put effort. Most professors TALK about helping you out but Gangji actually helps us and his ACTIONS show this.

Hes amazing and very funny. There are about 4-5 exams with 30 questions. Pay attention in class and you will definitely pass with a B+ or above. He does curve the grade at the end and never wants anyone to fail.

I have no idea how I got an A- in his class because I was getting 40-50's on all 3 exams. Don't skip class and make sure you complete all the pearson hw even if you get most of the questions wrong because I think he curves you based on how much effort you put in. Could not recommend this professor more, but be careful about the online lab with his class. Definitely suggest taking this class in person, not online. Hands down one of the best professors at QC, a smart & caring person who even starts class early to do practice probs with students who don't understand the topic. I took this class during Summer '21 & while the pace of content did move v. fast, prof Gangji did his best to accommodate for the speed of the class & the tough content we were learning.

Exam questions are related to the ones found at the end of each chapter in the text. Homework through Pearson. Attendance is mandatory and marked (counts as participation).

Show effort, make sure to attend lectures (he will notice), and do not cheat. If you do these, he will be inclined to help your grades. Don't drop after the first exam, he will adjust the remaining exams.

I failed my first exam and was scared I'd fail the course, but this professor changed everything. His class is always full of energy, fun, and encouragement, which makes learning enjoyable. He doesn't tolerate cheating and is always supportive. I've never had a professor like him he's the best. I highly recommend taking his class!

He is easily the best professor in Queens College. Genuinely cares for each student, and makes a notoriously difficult class like physics engaging and entertaining.

Professor Gangji is one of the best people. It was meant for him to be a teacher; he cares about his students, as long as you don't cheat and show up to class, and participate. Don't be scared in his class, he will do anything to help you. Don't hesitate to ask for help; he will answer all questions.

He is such an amazing professor if I could take him for all my classes I would. He makes lectures fun and helps them make sense. He is very funny and likes to keep things fun. He also is very sweet. Greatest professor ever! If you have the option to take him, definitely do!

I am so glad he chose to teach as a career, bc he is seriously one of the best teachers out anywhere. I felt a bit discouraged in the middle of my semester, but Professor Gangji showed he believed in me, pulling me right out of that funk. So worth taking him. Professor Gangji in my eyes is awesome Some students and I didn't do so well on the first test and then for the 2nd test he did something sooooo kind. He had whole class work together with their friends and classmates on the first 20 questions then come to find on the rest of the exam he let us continue working on the rest of the exam together.

Honestly he is the best professor at this college hands down! He actually wants you to pass and does everything in his power to make sure you do so.Textbook is required($90), Exams were half online and half in person(we were able to work together for 2 of them!), and homework was due every 2-3 weeks. He's really funny and makes you enjoy physics!

One of the best professors at Queens College. I didn't enjoy physics at first, but he made it genuinely enjoyable. His class was never missable like some others. He kept everyone engaged, making things that were actually funny, and even though it was a late class, his lectures kept us awake and interested. He truly made learning fun.

Truly the best professor at Queen's College. Physics is hard, but Dr. Gangji helped us through in every way he could. As long as you show effort, don't cheat, and prove that you are willing to put in your part; you will be okay. He isn't there to see us struggle, he's there to guide us and make sure we learn something.

There is a lot of homework assigned in this course, including three exams. However, the first exam is the hardest; he adjusts the difficulty of the other two exams based on how well or poorly the first one is performed. His lectures are clear, and he's both funny and understanding. His curve is rewarding, do everything honestly, and he'll help you

He is great I recommend taking him just as long as you do not cheat and do your work you should be fine.
