pretty cool guy. he likes to make jokes a lot (some are funny, others aren't). The class itself is pretty interesting and his voice booms through the room so don't worry about falling asleep.

Pretty good teacher. Has kind of a dry sense of humor either you get it or you don't. Class is pretty easy, just do your wor and you'll get an A.

this guy keeps you entertained in this class...it is a cake class because there is only 2 grades midterm and final...half the class he talks about current events and the rest he drones on. id recommend taking him

Entertaining teacher, boring subject matter. There is only so much you can say about voice and diction, and given that fact, the man must be a genius because he can fill a semester with it. I recommend everyone from Simi Valley take this class.

This teacher is great, it's kind of like listening to radio when he speaks, he makes the class pretty easy, so easy it get's boring sometimes. He's smart too.

Professor Miller is one of the best instructors at Moorpark College. He is entertaining, and really enjoys teaching. He is also very caring. I would highly recommend taking his class if you want to learn about Media & Society. He is GREAT!!!

He was a piece of cake for media and society. But really boring in that class. Voice and Dict. he's a little tougher but MUCH more interesting. I got an A in MS and a B in VD. All in all, he's a pretty cool teacher.

He is hilarious! His voice is so proper, you would almost expect him to say at the end of the first class, "just kidding, I actually grew up in Brooklyn." Makes funny faces when he teaches you about phonetics; always very serious. Never say "yea" in his class; always say "yes."

Don't ever use yeah, umm, like, ya-know or basically and you'll get an A. Saying other secret words will elicit his rendition of Old Man River. The class isn't as fluffy as you would think. He's a real pro.

so incredibly BORING, but definitly the easiest class i have ever taken. 1 midterm and 1 final and they are both take-home. no other work at all, just show up and get on the roll sheet and do to the two exams and you will definitly get an A. an oh yeh, laugh at his jokes, he gives A's for that.

Woooow. this guy can take a 5 minute lecture and expand it to an hour and 20 minutes. this can be good or bad depending on what kind of a student you are. but if you are having a bad day you will always end up smiling in his class cuz of his bad jokes. a fun guy.

A learned man, compassionate in his treatment of the less cogitively oriented student & he manifested a sensitivity to the arts that was genetic in origin.

What a class act! He's not only intelligent, well learned, and sweet -- he's witty. He never bored me, even if the material itself was boring. He'll always give props to a job well done, and he'll LITERALLY tie your shoelaces if he sees them undone under your desk! :)

EASY.He can boring as hell most of the time but class can sometime be fun if your good at experising your veiws in class. If not just zone out or bring a book but attendance is Key. NO TEST, NO HOMEOWKR, NO TEXTBOOK. All he has are a two week take home final and midterm plus extra but wont need it.

He is such a funny teacher. His class is really boring, but there isn't any hw. He says the same jokes over and over....It's kinda entertaining. I thought he was really nice and easy.

This guy is a pro. Everybody at Moorpark should have a class with Al. He is a kind and thoughtful man, as well as a fountain of information. i took scripting, voice & diction and media & society, and i enjoyed each immensly.

Al Miller is seriously one of the funniest teachers I've ever had. He literally cracks jokes all day. This is also the easist A Ive ever recieved. All you have to do is show up and do two take home midterms which are basic copy and past from the internet and you get an A. The only thing is it can be boring at times, but there's no textbook!!!

since I took this class in the 4 week summer session it felt boring. However, its an easy class. Work load is light. Easy A.

Good stories, but sometimes repeated them so class could get boring. Very nice and helpful when you show initiative. Fairly easy too.

Al Miller is honestly the coolest teacher at Moorpark, he is so nice and his jokes are so corny and hillarious. I consider him like a grandpa now he is so sweet and always cheerful. His class is amazingly easy and he never gives you a hassle. Take him!!!

this teacher is really cool, first day of class he broke the ice and came in telling all kinds of jokes. very nice, more than happy to help you out if you dont ditch. attendence is a big thing for him. not a lot of work, and work he gives for the most part is damn easy.

Im sad that i dont have al miller to kick around anymore. VERY easy class, he loves to talk and it gets kind of annoying but whatever, its better than work.(Which you will never have to do besides the mid term and final which are take home)

Al teaches three classes @ Moorpark (TV/Film Script Writing, Media & Society, and Voice & Diction). The V&D is honestly a boring subject. The other classes are great, and Al is an AMAZING teacher (in all 3). Cannot recommend strongly enough. He's funny. He's incredibly well-spoken and knowledgable and helpful. One of the best out there.

A great great great teacher. The class is a bit boring, but not because the way he teaches it, because the subject itself is really boring. No text book. let's you out early everynight. He's funny, sometimes repeats his jokes too much. overall, i definitely recomand taking his class.

One of my favorite teachers ever. His voice is great; a real classic radio voice. The man has had some experiences, so listen well.

He is a wonderful teacher...the subject may not be as interesting, but he is! I love his voice (it reminds me of the S.N.L. announcer)! Because of him, everyone that I meet says to me, "When you speak it is music to my ears, you must have taken Voice&Diction at Moorpark College with Al Miller". :} I look forward to taking another class with him!

this teacher is great! he is so funny but the class goes really slow, it can be boring but he has such a good heart, you would never want to hurt his feelings... the tests are easy he tells you when the quizes are i think there were 2 and then the midterm and final btw take HOME! its an easy A to bring up your gpa!

Great class. Does go slow but you get to watch movies every once in a while. I get to sit on a couch to listen to the class (cuz i get there early and take the couch seat). He's fun to listen to and his teaching style is good. Definately recommend this class to anyone that likes just having 2 take home tests and no quizes or homework.

Total professional and a very funny guy. It's a writing class, you get what you put into it. Suit up and show up are keys with Al. And he can sing.

He is an awesome professor. I have never learned as much as I did from him. You are going to take a lot of notes but hey at least you dont have to buy a book. I wish he taught more classes

Al Miller. How can you just not love him? Hes a total professonal and a really funny guy. I took his Media and Society class and got an A and now im in his Voice and Diction class because i just couldnt get enough. Take him. If you dont fall inlove with him the second he talks, you have serious issues... AL MILLER ROCKS MOORPARKS WORLD!

He is awesome enough... he gives pop quizes so pay attention, but at the end of the year he didn't count them. You get to take the final home for two weeks, which is nice. All in all, a nice guy...a little biased (politically, to the left), but a good, easy class.

Great guy, I'll be taking more classes from him, lots of fun keeps things interesting for the most part, plus he's got his own Love Songs CD, what more do you want from the guy?

He knows how to relate to young adults. not many professors can do that. I took scriptwriting from him too. He demands attention and respect and I'd reccommend him to anyone who would be willing to give it to him.

his method of madness is repetition...Very helpful. Seems annoying at first but after a while you get used to it and it sinks in. This enables him to not require a text book.

It was a pretty boring class and attendance does count, but Mr. Miller was a fun and witty teacher. It was an easy class to take and he has such a great personality. If you're willing to sit through a boring class and come on a regular basis, you'll do fine. A few quizzes, midterm and final. All are easy. Oh, and no textbook :)

I loved him. He was a great teacher... very funny. i would definatly take him again.. and recomend him. He says attendance is mandatory... but i only went 1/2 the time.. and did fine.. boring sometimes.. but hes very funny

Al is awesome! His lectures are very interesting, and informative. Midterm and Final are composed of class notes and Internet sources. No textbook! Just show up every class meeting, and you'll have no problem.

Great teacher, and a great person. Extremely easy A, and the guy's got some really entertaining anecdotes to listen to. Sure, his jokes are freakin' lame, but he'll get a laugh or two out of you if it's the last thing he does....He's also been around too, so he's a great resource for anything journalistic. Recommend Highly!

Great professor. He does not use class book and keeps you informed on current events. Learned alot in his class. He does pick on people that do not attend class, he wants you to attend and participate in class. He is very entertaining and makes learning fun.

To get an A: Perfect attendance, take your (take-home) midterm seriously, take your (take-home) final seriously. Do the extra credit as well. If you don't follow these requirements, you may not receive an A. Extremely boring class, but definitely the one of the easiest I've taken.

Al is a blast from the past. He has one of those old time radio personalities, and enjoys the topic. The easiest 'A' I have ever recieved, but still a great class that makes you think about how we as a society are controlled by media.

Pretty Easy Class. He only has 4 jokes, so be warned. Class is "mandatory" but he teaches everything you need to know in the first 3 weeks. Lots of videos and movies, and Very easy to follow. No Textbook, no homework. Take home midterm and take home final and "attendance" are only grade points in class. Its def. an Experience everyone should take.

Attendance is not mandatory, but if you skip a day you miss out on a lot of information. Gives about out about 3 random quizzes, that do not heavily affect your grade. Midterm & Final you are able to take home for 2 weeks to work on. No textbook!

He is an AMAZING teacher; funny and easy to pay attention to. His voice! He does care about his students and only wishes that you show up to class. He gets very offended if you leave lecture early and WILL single you out in front of the class to ask about absences. Attendance is VERY IMPORTANT. There is NO textbook, so every lecture is key!

Al Miller was very informative, interesting and intelligent. It has been several years since I've had his class and I still remember his class as one of my favorites from college. Highly recommended!

ladies and gentlemen, mr. al miller! this man is one of a kind, eccentric, and entertaining. yeah sure, sometimes the things he spouts aren't the most interesting details for your wednesday afternoon, but WHO CARES!? if you pay attention and take what he says to heart and mind, you won't speak like an absolute baffoon! take him if you can!

This guy needs new material. He repeats all of his jokes all of the time. It's a lot of lecturing and movie-watching which makes it somewhat of a bore but the tests are take home and if you don't get an A there's a chance that something is really wrong with you. "Can you dig it?"
