This is probably the worst professor I have had in college thus far. Her exams were nothing like her reviews, and the materials is incredibly dense and difficult. I don't feel its the profs fault if you get a bad grade, but this time I really think it was. Studying is essential to the class and expect at least 10 hours a week plus class.

She explains the material well, and her lectures are interesting. You must practice a lot of problems to do well in the course; it is organic chemistry. Her review sheets are useful, and her practice quizzes are a good practice for the multiple choice portion of the exam. I would take her for CHM2211. Dr. Hashim is great!

Dr. Hashim is an awesome professor! I'm enjoying the course, yet must keep up with reading the book. It's a lot of information, but her study guides are very helpful to narrow down your focus prior to exams. Yeah to extra credit on every exam! Would definitely recommend her for biochemistry. You will learn the material, and get the AB!

Dr. Hashim is always willing to help and explain stuff if you go to her with what you need help on. It's a good idea to keep up with the lectures by reading the book and doing the practice problems, her exams tend to be similar to book problems! She isn't the best lecturer. Gives out 10 pop quizzes throughout the semester which as long as you're reading along are super easy. Really helpful in office hours! On top of that, her lectures were a struggle to get through as she speaks as though she is bored of teaching. Her youtube videos are the only reason I understood the material. She lost her passion for lecturing.

her TAs for the organic lab are awful, I got lucky and got a lenient one. some of her tas are way too picky for no reason. this course was a mess during the summer and she worked with us after complaining. overall, she's all over the place but knows chemistry well.

This professor is SO DAMN UNORGANIZED. Like I couldn't stand the way she was doing things, I want an organized professor who posts recordings going through HER ppt not random videos of guys from YOUTUBE and her OLD youtube videos period. Take someone else, I'd rather take medical biochem than her which I'll be doing.

Definitely a very kind professor and if you have questions, shell make time for you. But shes also unorganized. BCH is such a vast subject, so combining that with a lack of organization made me feel like I didnt know where to begin. even now that the class is over, I still have no idea how I shouldve studied for exams.

Definitely unorganized, but she is very kind and easy to reach for questions. The class was asynchronous with optional lectures you can attend. Her exams were open-book but the questions were generally harder. No curve or extra credit, likely bc the class was easy enough already. Probably not the best prof for learning biochem in detail.

Unorganized. Our syllabus the ENTIRE semester said the final exam will be 50 questions then the DAY OF THE FINAL with less than an hour before our exam (29 minutes to be exact) she told us it will be 67 questions. She doesn't care about her students!

The bottom comment is not wrong when she said Hashim changed the final from 50 questions to 67 questions on the morning of the final! She seemed that she didn't care all semester at all. If you needed any help, it was always "go to your TAs". This class was very unorganized from the start. I don't even know how I got a B

At times this class seemed a bit unorganized, but at other times it seemed better. For most modules she would post very helpful videos that would go in depth on the material and I appreciated the time she put into those.

The course is fairly simple but Dr Hashim isn't great at explaining concepts and sometimes sounds like she doesn't even know what she's talking about. Would've been better off with anyone else.

Shes really not a great professor. Her voice is monotone and she doesnt really try to engage with her class. Shell stand at the front and read directly from the slide and sometimes thats incorrect. She doesnt really explain to teach concepts she just expects you to know them. I had to teach myself most of the material.

Lots of homework

If you can't hold your own and actually need to learn things and understand things then don't take her class. She is very kind and understanding and she will help you if you need help. I already knew what I was doing so I was fine, but most people weren't. She makes a lot of mistakes in her lectures and doesn't explain things well.
