He is very funny. We have fun in his class and he offers very helpful advice. He tells you what's gonna be on the test. And like any class, you do have to study. I wish I had him for Acctg I.

He is a great teacher! He is experienced & he cares a lot about his students. In his lessons, he bypasses all the uneccesary crap & teaches you only the things ought to know. He's funny & always open if you need to ask him any questions.

A man who truely loves what hes doing by teaching others. I wish I could have him for all my other courses. Do what he says and asks of you and you should be set. It's not hard material but just do what he says and asks. I can't stress it enough. You do that and you got a B or an A.

Good teacher, very clear, if need help again and going over something again - just ask - gives office hours and extra time to go over any questions, homework, or even problems in life. Great teacher. Final is optional because it replaces lowest test grade. Most don't have to take final because they already have an A. Nice guy, easy and fun class, attendance isn't required, and tests are easy enough.

If you take 'the Baum' and have notes from his lectures--you have the test. If you don't pay attention and take his 'hints' seriously, then you miss out. He is a fantastic instructor - a rarity at BCC-he teaches because he ENJOYS it.

Excellent Professor. I took his 8-week fast paced online Accounting class. There was a lot of homework, but the tests were easy and open book, and as long as you keep up there is absolutely no reason you won't get an A. He's very quick to respond to your questions and is very helpful. The book is good read too.

Took him for accounting 1, one of the easiest As ever. He tells you EXACTLY what will be on the test. You have to be...well, not the smartest to get below an A in his class.

Accounting is not fun! and i do not recommend taking the blended class! Mr.A is nice, and he thinks hes funny, so its an entertaining class but its not easy, dont expect to get an easy A. Its a class u really have to attend and spend alot of time on.

For the online class, its alooot of hmwrk that requires time dedication to get it done, you HAVE TO DO IT not only for the points but also to be able to understand the course... its not an easy subject! Don't expect to get an A if your no genius, no extra credit but if you need to take this class I would recommend this teacher!

Great professor. Gets off of topic a little too much but he tells you everything you need to know on the test for an easy 'A' or high 'B'. I got an 'A' in his class but it wasn't an easy 'A'.It's a lot of work but if you dedicate time to study and do the homework you will pass no doubt.

To take the online course you better know basis of accounting already otherwise you are going to have a very hard time with this course..he doesn't explain anything and if you ask he gives hints that confuse you even more..all he does is take off points, but to pass its not hard. For an B or better I don't recommend his online course.

I disagree with the last post. Took online accounting 1. He gave you outlines for each chapter and notes for hard topics. Responds very quickly to email and posts. Also gave a test outline that covered everything on the test. The class was VERY hard I got a B and worked real hard. I would only recommend it if you have a lot of time to study.

Although he can go off topic he never just talks about crap, he talks about interesting things that apply to the real world. u can tell he wants u to pass and he answers ur questions without being a smart ass. Professor Applebaum is a great teacher, I just finished taking his winter fast track class and yes I did get a good grade however, it was a HARD earned grade. He doesnt give out answers, he simply tells somethings you should expect to see on the test. It is NOT an easy A you have to work really hard.

This professor is a very good professor, he knows his stuff and he is fair. You will have to earn your grades, He is not easy but if you study and do your HW, you should be ok. If Anyone says he is easy, they are either already an accoutant or extremly samrt, because you have to work hard to get good grades.

Great teacher. Attendance not mandatory but for your own sake don't miss a class. be there for the the reviews. He drops the lowest test grade. If you do good on his tests you dont have to do the final. Tells you your grade right after the test. doesn't give back the test to everyone so you can see where you went wrong you have to ask. fair grading

Applebaum is one cool guy and knows his material. The class can and will be dreadful. Accounting is not easy. Homework online is very tricky, the textbook will not teach you lesson plans if you read.. ive tried. The tests in the class are fair, not easy/hard so studying is a must. Overall, this is your best bet for ACG2001 compared to other prof's.

Prof Applebaum is a fantastic teacher. I took the online course. His syllabus was extremely clear and spelled out exactly what you needed to do. He's very helpful and even took time one weekend to meet with me and go over my tests.He's very fair, if you do your part and study you can't fail.

I took the online course and received an "A". It was the first time I took an online course, but it was easy after getting the hang of it. Do not buy the book online as you need a special online code to access the homework section. He is a bit sarcastic, but will promptly answer your questions.

This prof was on point. had us ready for each test, was crystal clear on what to do, answered all questions quickly. i took his online class and would recommend it to anyone.

GREAT teacher, you must put an effort into class. He's extremely fair. I've taken him for both ACG2001 & ACG2002 both fully online and would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone. I returned to college after 10 years and was worried about online classes. I achieved B's in both sections w/ Prof Applebaum.

Pretty sarcastic. Can get sort of annoying at times but overall an above average teacher. Sometimes fun. Sometimes goes off on a tangent for a while. Take him, since the other accounting teachers are no better.

Prof. Applebaum teaches accounting clearly. If you want to do accounting as your career, then take Prof. Applebaum. If you just go to college for the pell grants, take someone else so you don't waste a spot in the class.

Amazing professor! He needs to teach Managerial Accounting! The business dean definitely needs to allow him to teach Managerial Accounting!! If you are lucky enough to have the opportunity to take Professor Applebaum definitely do it.

Online course is time consuming with SEVERAL assignments due each week, which includes discussions, assignments (2 do in word&excel),Quizzes (cant see what you got wrong), and Connect HW assignments that are EXTREMELY time consuming. The class is do-able but don't take this class if you have another class that requires a lot of time and effort.

Applebaum is the best accounting teacher at broward college. I took him for accounting 1,2, and managerial. I got A's in all three classes. He makes the material easy to understand, he has his own CPA firm so he actually knows what he's talking about. Impossible to fail i was pessimistic about accounting at first but he changed my attitude 100%

He's a nice dude, makes a lot of jokes. He explains things pretty well and outlines the tests before hand. The subject is hard but if you study and do the homework you will definitely get a good grade. He has ADD and gets off track a lot but it's not too bad. Just make sure to do connect and study what he tells you.

GREAT PROFESSOR! He actually knows the stuff he teaches. Doesnt just read off a powerpoint, really wants to help out the students! He's a great professor but you MUST attend class and take notes in order to pass his class. The tests are unlimited and online if you're taking the blended course, a lot of HW but it helps with tests. 9 quizzes with 24 questions each for each chapter. He stops taking attendance after like the 3rd class.

I took ACG 1&2 as blended classes. It was the perfect mix to understand anything I couldn't get online. He made learning fun and really cares that his students know what they are doing. If you do the work you will pass. I wish I could take more classes with him.

Accounting is a challenging class no matter who the teacher is, but Applebaum is definitely the best at explaining things out and making it easier for students. Gives great analogies and if you go to every class he answers any questions you have and basically gives you the answers to the test.

A lot of work. Each chapter has one due date so you need to plan. Professor answers questions very quickly. If you do all the work and prepare for the chapter quiz you can get an A in the class. It is easy to fall behind.

Applebaum makes Accounting fun! He's hilarious, intelligent, highly educated in different kinds of subjects. I'm not an accounting major, but I'm taking all of my future accounting classes with him. If you skip class or don't do your homework, you'll likely fail his class or perform incredibly poorly. His syllabus is clear and the grading is fair.

I took this class not knowing what to expect, on the first day of class professor Alan told us what was expecting of us another to pass the class. He is a great professor we need more like him to teach in Broward College. If you are a lazy person who wants free A you will not understand his teaching but if you are looking to learn take him!!!!

You will never find a better professor that will teach to the test. You will also be allowed to record his test reviews for every single test. He is very helpful depending on the student. This class is the hardest and most time consuming class I've taken. I'm a 1st year college student and just finished ACG2001 with an A.I would recommend him to others, he understands that ACG2001 is hard for many and will do what it takes to try and get you to understand the material. The homework is online and requires 5 hrs but definitely do it.

This professor is awesome, he really knows his stuff and is very good at helping you understand. The class honestly is not hard but the homework on Cengage is very tedious and is mainly busy work. You have plenty of time to do. I have an A so far and will most likely pass with an 95+ you do have to buy Cengage 120$. Def take him well worth it

I took this class in the fall semester. It was one of the easiest online class i ever took. All the test are online. No proctored exams. There are discussion, but they are not very hard. If you spend time doing all homework, it's and easy A class. I would love to take this class again

Except Managerial I took all the ACG with him in person and online. He doesn't give away points. He has great study guides, answers his emails promptly and the online homework, lessons, discussion, tests, well organized and will assist you if you were troubled to handle all the online process. Classes in person are engaging, and real life examples.

Best accounting teacher at BC. I decided to become an accounting major after the first accounting class i took. He explains everything perfectly and makes sure you understand before moving on. I took ACG 1 &2 and Managerial with him and got A's. If you don't pass with him you should probably change your major.

He's wonderful I took it blended so that's where it hurt me. I just despise cengae .. But he's great . I had family trouble so that's why I didn't perform well in the class. But he's very understanding. I would take him again.

Taking him now and it really is all about time management. Cengage takes up a lot of time (3 hours on the low end, 5-6 hours on the high end) so prepare for it accordingly. Discussion every chapter as well as online test, which is usually pretty hard.

Great teacher. He replied to my emails right away, and would send reminder emails when assignments were due. Also, sent handouts for the tougher chapters. I would definitely take him again.

Great professor. Cant go wrong if you choose him. Attendance not mandatory but you could get lost if you dont attend. Took him for both ACG1101 and 1102 blended. Easy to reach if you ever have homework questions.

Love this professor! Class was fairly simple, mostly work on Cengage. You do have to do 1 discussion question per chapter but it helps you understand the material more. You also have to respond to two other students discussions. This is a great professor, he really cares about his students success. If you have any questions you can email him.

He is so kind, he always answers your questions and concerns so promptly. He is a very easy grader and makes the class so much easier to work with. Since it was all online, you just need to log on to do your HW and Tests on Cengage and discussions on bconline. He's incredible, you can't go wrong with him! One of the best accounting profs ever!

Good professor. Answers emails and questions quickly. Syllabus did have errors but was corrected the third day of class. Lots of emails but all had important information. 2 to 3 hours of work each week. Do all the discussion, easy points. Got an A better than my acct 1 prof.

If you want a professor that gives you fast and detailed feedback; have all his expectations, assignments, and due dates in the syllabus from the beginning of the class; post your grades as soon the assignments are closed; understanding and ready to help chose professor Applebaum. He gave us extra credit points and also extra credit opportunities.

Professor Applebaum is an awesome professor that cares about his students. He gives extra credit to help you because some of the chapters are very difficult. He is responsive to your emails. I love this professor and wish I could take him for ACG2110.

would take this class 100x again. he gives feedback and grades proctored tests with curves. love this guy.

I was nervous about taking this class but Professor Applebaum was a real gem. Hes very responsive and helpful. Whenever I had a question or an issue with MyLab he was attentive and replied quickly. A lot of homework but it gives you great practice for tests and theres an (optional) extra credit exercise for every chapter!

Class is all on labs. Nine chapters in total with a test at the end of each chapter, three of which are proctored. Lots of homework, and sometimes it would get repetitive and boring, but that is about the hardest part of the class. Exams were easy, proctored exams were the hardest. Provides extra credit for every chapter. Will take again forACG2011

When I had left three chapters to complete I received an email from the professor saying how hard I should work on those three chapters in order to get an A. Isn't that wonderful? He even sent me the calculations. I was pretty impressed by this.

Professor Applebaum is very nice and he keeps you updated through the class. He is strait forward, you will have to read a lot but if you get stuck he answers your questions in a timely manner.

Professor A is awesome! He is everything you'd want out of a math professor. Class is difficult and homework is SUPER time consuming! Everything is done on MyLab, 9 chapters, 2 homework assignments per chapter, a chapter quiz, and an extra credit assignment. 3 quizzes are proctored. Professor A is understanding and accommodating for tech issues!
