Easy A. Read the texts, highlight the answers based on his review sheet and you should have an A. His final grade is 4 tests and 4 easy writing assignments. No cumulative final. Doesn't offer extra credit, but did curve our final grade.

This professor is straight foward with his work. All assignments are posted on an online calendar. He has 4 tests, no final, one history site project, and 5 reading assignments. Mr. Johnson doesn't play! I took him for history 1301 & 1302 and a student cheated from my work. He was very fair in catching the culprit. I think he is great.

I like this class. VERY EASY!! If you work, and whether or not your work right or wrong!! you get credit!! you will do one project in HIST1301. Go to museum, take 8 pics, post on Power Point...then you will earn 100 points!! How easy is that?

He an excellent, fair prof. He gives you credit for everything you do in his class. If you need to take a history class, this is the guy you need to take.

Took his class online and did well. Just study and submit assignments on time and you'll do OK. Again, he gives no leadway on due dates. YOU MUST TURN THINGS IN ON TIME.

This professor is easy. You take notes off of powerpoint, have 4 or 5 reading assigns., get graded 75pts. 4just going2class & watching 3 movies. Get 100 pts. 2do a powerpoint project 4 a history site. His 4 tests that are done online, no FINAL! Test r a little hard, but it's still an easy A 4 the class. I took him for Hist 1302 too.

You need to read the text, and need to copy down his notes during class!! Helps a lot on tests. Just 4 tests, no final, about 4 written assignments; just answering 3 questions about an assigned reading. One project which is an easy grade, not too easy to pass, but not hard. I got an A after forgetting to do the first test!!!

Very good teacher, he made history interesting, and i always found history boring. Just come to class everyday and take notes and look over them and you should do good on the test. his reading assignments are easy just a 600 word paper.But in all a good teacher dont listen to the negative comments.

Took him online this semester. I read all the bad stuff about him but decided to take him anyway. Glad I did. Ok guy. Clear syllabus.I didnt do so good on my 1st book review so he gave me another book to read and took the best of both tests. I wish he would have graded essays quicker but all in all he's an ok teacher. Im taking him again for 1302.

I took him for HIST 1301 and 1302 because I thought he was a great teacher. It was online so you basically teach yourself. He gives you an outline with all the areas you should expect questions to come from. If you read and take notes on his outline you should have no problem with the class.

Test were not hard at all, all of the answers were in the notes. Watch some good movies, did a power point on a historical building, read a few articles and did a short essay on them. Not hard at all. For those complaining about him giving to much work, if you can't handle how much work he gives at community college level how good are you going to

I took this professor in the summer, and he is a great teacher. I am surprised to read all the negativity that is being said. Mr. Johnson class was not hard at all it required studying, but that is expected. I mean we are in college. He made the class interesting, and I enjoyed his class. He is ok. not very helpful and no room for extra credit. Grades are given by point system. ALOT of note taking and the BOOK IS NECESSARY. Overall very arrogant but teaches everything you need to know...

Mr.Johnson is a fair about the grading.In his class whether you pass or not it literally up to you.He does give some extra credit but if you do you best on all assignments you will pass.Very clear in his lectures and you take good notes you really don't need the book.I do not recommand taking as an online course.

I found History 1 to be a very time-consuming class. Professor Johnson expects you to write and read a lot in order to do well in his class, but he's always very helpful and will answer any questions that you have. I was having problems with some of the essay tests, and was able to discuss with him where i went wrong and he helped me do better!

& 1302.Lectures are interesting.Gives examples of what he expects from the essays,& you can discuss it with him.Online(open-book)tests are mostly from notes;you will need the book & you will need to study since you won't have time to research every question. You'll get the grade you deserve;could've made an A but didn't feel like writing last essay

I took this class my first year of college and it was easy. You do have to read alot and take alot of notes which i took notes but never read. His test were half and half of essay and multiply choice which i just bs the essays and passed hes a smart ass but hes cool at the same time. i liked him loads

This class requires a lot of reading, but if you do your online quizzes and read you will pass. He is tough with grading but this is a college course. In class presentation is a big part of your grade so make sure you give yourself enough time to complete it. Not the nicest prof. if you have a question be prepared to feel intimidated.

Oh man, this guy. Cool guy, knows his stuff, teaches it right. I passed with no problem but because I did my work. You have to read his syllabus, read project requirements, and do them by the book as he doesn't take any of your excuses. I like the guy, how he structured his class, then again I can see why he's tough if you don't take it seriously.

I took the History 1302 with this professor. His class outline was very easy to follow. He gives students the questions that will be on the quiz ahead of time so it was easier to follow along and find answers to what will be on the quizzes and tests. I can say that I learned from this class, and you can make an A if you just read all materials.

I took History 1302 online for the mini 5 weeks and got an A in this class. The outline of his class was clear and easy to follow. He gave us questions that will be on the quizzes and tests so there's no way you can fail if you read and answer and study for the quiz and tests. I've learned a lot from this class and WOULD recommend it to anyone.

Took the online 5 weeks course and made an A on it. His class outline is very easy to follow, he gives us the base questions in that will be on the quizzes and tests to study for. You must read all materials because the written part is base on it. His grading is fair, if you read, study, and know your material you will pass with flying colors.

Its go at your own pace & the deadlines aren't very rigid, so I was able to turn in quizzes early. The questions are textbook specific, so make sure you use the reviews he gives you to your advantage. He grades tough on the writing potion, but just read the novel/articles & write a proper college essay, its not rocket science.

Very basic class. Read the chapter, take a test. I learned so much just by reading and taking a test. This is an easy class but the other two small books were a pain to read.

Took this class online & it was an easy A if you read the chapters. There's a multiple choice quiz each week but you get 2 chances to take it. Same with the midterm & final. There are also 2 book reports so there is definitely a lot of reading but it's all very interesting. He's quick to answer emails and seems very nice.

Fairly easy class. The essay exams questions were a bit tough. Other than that it is a very easy class. Be prepared to read. Text book is required and very helpful

The 8-wk online course was highly organized & the deadlines were generous while still keeping students on task. The quizzes & exams were easy (best of 2 tries for quizzes & avg. of 2 tries for exams) & the essays were graded fairly. There are multiple extra credit opportunities. There is a significant amount of reading, but it's all fascinating.

There is a lot of work but it's all doable. Ans to weekly quizzes are from the notes given in class; textbook is not a must. Attend class and take notes! 5 blue book quizzes which he announces in advance. 3 timed essay test, a midterm and a final (all online). Do everything on time! Will take Professor Johnson again- awesome lectures.

Great professor! i will take him for 1302. Quizzes every week (5 questions, two attemps) 2 reading essay questions not hard. midterm is easy and final is as well. easy A!!!

I Like Professor: Alan Johnson ' He give good feedback he is tough but that's ok my dad he have Alzheimer's and going to work and coming home to study after taking care of him it's hard but I'm not giving up and I will take Professor: Alan Johnson again if didn't pass because he make you want to learn he give's you that inspirational that's it.

I took Prof Johnson for both of my history classes. He is very knowledgeable, and expects his students to pull their own weight. His essay grades are a bit difficult, but overall he is fair.

Professor Johnson is by far one of the best online teachers Ive ever had. EVERYTHING is online. Youll have two book reports and they are easy as long as you read. Quizzes, final exams and midterms are also very easy. I would definitely recommend him. Took him for both history.

I took this class online for the summer and it was an easy A!! EVERYTHING was online the quizzes, exams, and two book reports. If you do not read those two books then don't expect a good grade. The class is not hard at all unless you make it hard by not doing the work, especially for an online class. Awesome professor!

Great Professor

I took this teacher for 1301 and 1302, just do all your assignments and do not miss class and you will be fine. In 1302 there are two books you must read and do a 300 and 600 essay, make sure you do it!

My exp with Prof. Johnson is that I actually LIKE his hands-off method. He gives you a very clear outline of what is due and when. You will HAVE to read your history book. If you do the work and read, you will pass this class. It's not hard. I read a chapter a week and did the quiz after. Simple class. I'm taking him again for Summer semester.

What I liked about the class: 1. The due dates on the quizzes and final allow for some flexibility. 2. The textbook was amazing! (dull at moments, but, overall, stunning). What I did not enjoy about the class: 1. If you don't score a perfect score on the quizzes and exams. That essay exam is mandatory & will be stressful.
