If you follow along in lectures, keep up on the readings and learn to *think* that is connect all the different readings together to form the general concepts of the course. Sometimes the readings aren't easy and the lectures aren't clear though.

Fascinating, intelligent, and kind person. Most lectures and films were very interesting, although usually abstract/ambiguous, which was often a bit disconcerting, but in a good way. Reading amount is doable, exams are pretty easy, and papers graded fairly. Pretty easy to get an A if you're a decent writer. I'd love to take another class from him!

Great class. I chose to do Option B and got a lot out of the class. Some of the films were odd, but everything fit together well and the discussions helped to break down some of the topics so that they were easier to understand and then write about. Hope for a good TA because that's what carried me through this class. Prof. Klima wasn't bad, but sometimes it was hard to get his point during lecture. My TA basically filtered out and refined what Prof. Klima said, which was helpful. The movies can be interesting sometimes and the readings are short. Prepare for a possible 6-8 page or more final.

This guy is seriously wack. Believe me the class is an easy A, no need to go to lectures just show up for discussions and midterms. But sometimes I literally couldn't stand hearing Klima talk, he would just rant about things that could be said in a few to the point words. The class felt like he was trying to make it SEEM hard, but everyone got an A
