Overall satisfied, although his test questions can be confusing - not at all like the homework problems. Do the homework, come to class, and you will probably get a B. Decent.

Made strange noises during lectures, sometimes, but at least it got your attention. And he allowed the class to use "cheat sheets". they weren't as helpful as thought to be, just more shuffling through notes really.

Weird dude, but kinda amusing. Lets you use cheat sheet on test, gives good examples to use on cheat sheet. Tests stayed almost identical, so get and old copy and your set.

Great professor! makes part of statistics pretty entertaining! only complaint was that damn "Hawkes Adventures in Business Statistics"...that was the biggest waste of time, but it IS required :(

He teaches well, but takes no mercy. The class itself can be difficult, but he lets you use formula sheets on the exams. Don't expect ANY curve, though. He awards no extra points. He is flexible in some ways, though.

he is a strange guy, but he knows what he is talking about (he co-wrote the book for the class). Advice: go to class, study in groups, find old tests - and you are golden.

I am so glad I took this professor for Business Stats. His lectures are kind of....different. But if you make a good cheat sheet for the tests (he allows a full page) then you will do fine. The homework isnt required (I did not ONE assignment and Im making an A) and the computer software thing is easy too. Take this guy!

I took the once a week class and thought it was very hard. In class everything made sense and was easy to understand, then you get the test and are like WTF is this? Lectures did not prepare well for the test at all! Nice guy though. Always answered my questions in full after class. Would have helped if he had old test on file at the library.

Bus Stat is challenging, but it isn't rocket science. Do the few hours of homework a week, and you'll be ready for the tests. Online Excel quizzes and modules are an easy 'A' and worth about 15% of your overall grade. He drops one of the three tests. The final really blew...could have studied harder. I didn't because I only needed a 68 for an A.

A very difficult class no matter who you take it with. I had a muh easier time with calculus than this class. However, Dr. Kvanli is probably the best professor for this course, and I do recommend him for anyone who has to take this course! Stay on the online and offline assignments and you will be able to pass this difficult course.

Kvanli is relatively amusing in his style, but he did cover topics rapidly. That was probably due to the amount of material to cover in the once-a-week class. Regardless, I'd take him again. The material truely has to be known before going to the tests for the questions will rock your world. The cheat sheet he allows is a life saver.

Great professor, if you go to class and pay attention he pretty much lays everything out for you. I don't know how everyone else says they don't like him? He is a great teacher. Sure he wrote the book, that's becuase he's damn good at what he does.

Once you get used to all the jumping around to the different websites in order to get the assignments done it gets a lot less frustrating. I personally thought the tests were extremely fair and matched up with what he expected us to complete for homework.

From previous post I was scared to death of this teacher. He's not too bad. Lots of assignments and places to turn them in, but everything is explained in the book, powerpoints, and even in class. It's stats it isn't going to be easy, but funny how everyone that comes to class is breezing through. When I needed help he helped without hesitation.

Don't listen to all the previous comments. This is a fairly easy class. The tests are super easy, and the modules, online post tests, and excel quizzes are basically an automatic 100. I'm not very good at math, but I managed to make an A easily in Kvanli's DSCI 2710 class.

He is not too bad. but of course Stats is not a fun thing to learn anyways. Hw assignments are easy. Test i thought were i bit difficult. You really do have to keep on top of this class though.

Took the class online. I prefered this method because I was able to watch the power point lectures over and over. HW, quizzes and excel assignments were a gimmie. He allows a cheat sheet on exams and at the end you can bring them all to the final. I just went to the math lab on campus when I needed a bit of help.

Took online. The material is hard and the textbook (which he co-authored) isn't very clear. Assigns a TON of exercises which are mandatory. Online courseware uses different terms, formulas & tables than text, which is very confusing. Responds very quickly and completely to emails.

Took this class online, once you get used to the style of the online post tests, Hawkes models, and excel assignments, the homework should be easy A's for you. Tests are fair, do exactly what he posts on the review and you'll do fine. And I mean EXACTLY what he posts. He's giving you a big hint with it. Helpful outside of class.

He is very straightforward, & clear. As long as you come to class and do the homework you will do just fine. He lets you bring a typed sheet of paper to each test (4 of them). You can right whatever on it, so tests are very easy. There is a good amount of homework, but each assignment doesn't take long if you've been paying attention! Take him!

This is a class I should have taken in person, while the practice exams are helpful this is a math based class. Most people do not take those online for a reason. Will be taking it again next semester in person and hopefully can reuse the 300 book he wrote again since they do not sell individual access codes

He is a good teacher and helps you when you need it. Promptly returns emails and understands mistakes with online classes. This class should be taken in person, even if you have previously taken a math statistics class. The layout on blackboard was a little confusing at times with SO much information. PP were helpful.

He is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend him as a teacher. He is so sweet and willing to help. He also gives numerous attempts at extra credit and always wants people to succeed. There is a lot of busy work but it is worth it when it comes to the tests! Plus he lets you have a cheat sheet. I mean come on he is pretty awesome!

Ended up making a B! Hawkes suck because if you dont make an 80 you have to restart. I passed all of the test and he gives bonuses also. Out of like 12 hawkes i only did 6 did the online quiz and post test (didnt do good on post tests) & still made a b. big class dont need to come in every day. just pass the test & final and youre good.

There are a ton of assignments, but only 3 tests and he drops the lowest. You can bring in a cheat sheet for the exams as long as you can get it all onto one page. For the final, you can bring in all the cheat sheets from the previous tests plus one for the new material.

I'm glad I took this class online. There is a lot of assignments due; however, its not too bad. He gives lots of easy extra credit, I highly recommend you do them. The tests can be easy if you just study the practice tests because they are the same. Get a TI-83,-84 calculator. Having that made this class easy.

I was dreading this class but Kvanli made this online course so easy! He gives you everything that you need to succeed. Practice tests that are exactly like the real tests. You also get a cheat sheet on the day of exam for formulas, etc. I made a easy A in this course through the internet course. Books & programs that are needed are expensive.

Suggest taking online. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF TI-84!! Youtube will teach you how. Assignments can be turned in late but DONT. He allows 1 cheat sheet on each exam front & back. Dont take notes for cheat sheet, condense practice exams b/c they are almost exactly the same. Easy A if you turn in all HW/quizzes on time, use TI-84, & study practice exams.

I took Kvanli's class online and it was straight to the point. Read the chapter and do the homework on Hawkes. Once you finish the homework, the excel quizzes and post tests are simple and short. The only thing that sucked was you had to buy a brand new book he wrote bc of the access code. It's self taught (obvi.) but he responds to emails quickly.
