Great teacher notes are very well organized and great tests overall a great teacher highly recommended

He's a great teacher. Always willing to help. Gives lots of examples. Sometimes his thought process is hard to follow, but if you ask him to clarify he will.

I got into this class not wanting to take it, it was really bad....but then after the 2nd week of class, he helped me understand things I've already been taught but didn't really grasp it. He is a great teacher, if you are stuck on something, he will clarify it for you, no problem. I'm taking him again

If you are taking Calculus DO NOT go to his class. He deducts points like crazy on his test. 39 students 3A 7B 10C 19F. Those passing was their 2nd or 3rd time taking the class. Save your money and time, take it the next semester with another professor.

Stats is a hard class,which is why I gave him a "hard" rating. But he really takes his time teaching and tries to make sure everyone understands. Take him during the summer.

Very helpful, always takes time to thoroughly explain things (even to students who are somewhat "slow" in understanding the material.) If you come to class and pay attention, you will do well in the class.

Excellent instructor. Tests are well written and not too tough. He doesn't dwell too heavily on the theory, instead he focusses on the most critical material. Always willing to spend extra time to go back to ensure any student who doesn't get it, get's it. Some feel his grading is tough, but I think he's more fair than most MAC2311 teachers.

i'm going to warn you, very hard class. great teacher. spent HOURS reviewing in math lab. tests are not tricky. study and know your material and you'll be fine, he is a good instructor. very fair, always there to help during office hours. USE THE MATHLAB! good teacher, hard subject

WELL DISPITE WHAT EVERYONE HAS SAID ABOUT LEVOBITZ, I ACTUALLY DIDN'T THINK HE WAS THAT TERRIBLE. HE GIVES QUIZES THAT AT THE END ADDS UP TO A WHOLE GRADE EXAM. JUST DO YOUR HW. YOU EITHER GET IT OR YOU DONT. I DIDNT GET AND "A" I GOT A "C" BUT ITS NOT HIS FAULT.

This class & teacher can be very easy. He gives 14 Q's, the 4 lowest of which get dropped, 4 T's, and one final that can replace any one of your lowest grades whether it be a T or your overall Q grade. Although he doesn't check your H.W., it is what a super-majority of the Q's and T's are based upon. P.S. It kind of helps to bleed orange & blue!!!

whoa! i just read all the ratings some are fair some are not! well calc 1 IS a very hard time consuming class, you NEED to do your hw in this class, if you don't you will not get a nice grade. All his tests are based from the hw and some from lecture. Tell you the truth I like him, i like they way he teaches bc he is a nice guy and always available

i took alan for all most of my math classes. he is the only professor that when he teaches, he makes you understand what he is teaching and if you don't, you can always ask him. i agree he is a little tought, but he will not pass you if you don'tknow the material.if you did nt like his class, you were too lazy to ask for help!!!

He's one of the best professors at BCC. He's fair, knows his stuff and explains it really well. He's tests are not that hard and he only tests on material covered in class (unlike some other teachers). I had him for two courses and strongly recommend.

I took him for elementary algebra. He was very helpful and he may explain things like he is talking to a 10yr old but you learn quick and easy. His tests were fairly easy and he is very nice. If you want to pass this course take him.

Pof. Lebovitz is a great math teacher. I only got a D because I the last two tests were pretty hard. The class moves kind of fast, but I would reccomend Lebovitz. I'll most likely be taking MAT 0024 with him again next semester!

Really good teacher. I hate math but this guy makes it okay. I definitely recommend him is you plan on advancing to more difficult classes (which he teaches by the way).

I took Lebovitz for trigonometry in a condensed summer course. The course was prettty tough. If you struggle in math dont take the condensed course unless you take it by itself, but he's a great teacher. His tests are fair, he drops the 3 lowest quiz scores out of 13 and he does want his students to do well just communicate!

Took MAC1147. Very tough class you must do all your homework. Mr Lebowitz is a good guy, very fair teacher and will give extra credit, work, or fix the test.

He's tough but if you ask him for help, he'll help you, I sweat to get a B but I really enjoyed his class. Now, I'm looking for him b/c I want to take Statistics with him. So if you know his schedule, plz let me know!!!!

an amazing teacher i wish he taught more math classes. he really cares if his students are grasping the concept and shows genuine pride when his students do well. defenetly take him he really does try to relate math to the real world.

Great Teacher! Ask for help if you need it! He even took time to help me out in my future Math studies! Not many other instructors would take that kind of time! I am taking him again next semester! Very honest and delivers multiple methods on solving problems! Plus he has a sense of humor! Only flaw is that he is a monster Gator fan!

Very challenging class but he is more than fair. Quizzes everyday with 4 dropped. Tests are hard but they go along with the notes. Attendance is mandatory or you will definitely fail. Likes to make people feel stupid tho when asking questions in class so ask questions in private or thru email. Very good teacher if you understand math.

Expect dry comedy and some (small)info on football and family. He is fair and gives good lectures. You really dont even need the book in class. Just copy his notes and do some hmewrk for repetition sake..and you will pass the class with a decent grade. Attendence is also important and he gives a quiz everyother class or so. Its not a bad class!

Excellent teaching skills.He will not move on until all questions are answered.Good sense of humor.Homework not mandatory but will help you clear up any problems you have.Gives quizes constantly and it can either make or break your grade, so be sure to make it to class on quiz day, they are about 2-4 problems only.

I am taking porfessor L now and I honestly am loving him! Challenging class but well worth it, very clear about what to know and great teaching skills. Almost daily quiz, good way to keep grade up. good humor and approchable! If your willing to work for ur grade then take him. PS- HUGE gator fan :D -KO

I was a three time failure in Algebra. This teacher explains it so I could understand, even adding visual techniques. If you listen and do the homework you will pass. I was very impressed and it shows that he really loves what he does

Take him for all the math you can. I just graduated and wish I found him earlier in my math courses. He is honestly THE BEST and Ive had them all. Next to him Grody should be your alternative. STUDY and get out WHAT YOU PUT IN and GOOD LUCK!

Test are VERY difficult. If you want an easy "a" NOT the course/professor4u.Show up or you will fail!(daily quizes/mandatory attendance).study on your own or you will fail!I got a "b". I put in hours on end in the math lab.test are limited time as are quizzes.reviews are useless.If you are lazy find another professor or...you WILL fail.good luck

He taught me more than any math professor that I have ever had. He clarified everything. He drops your for lowest quiz grades, so you can afford to make a few mistakes. His tests aren't that hard if you study and do the review. Go to class and do most of the homework, and you will get alot out of the class.

Statistics is a hard subject, but if you work hard, this professor will help you reach an A. If you don't- never. He teaches very fast and precise, so you have to be on point and do HOMEWORK, if you miss a day of class, you are way behind.

Tests are exactly how he teaches in class, listen to his lectures and take down all his notes, doing the homework DEFINITELY HELPS, as far as quizzes you do have to be very precise with your work gives half credit final counts double in replacing your lowest test grade.

He is a great teacher. Full of knowledge. I would say the best Ive ever had. Tests are hard, and I spent hours in the SI lab and doing homework. Needless to say by the time the final came I was burned out. But I do recommend him. Go to class every day, use the SI lab, and you will do fine. this professor is great! his teaching methods are the best. he will show you "how your purpose" to do the problem then how we do it on the calculator. very hard on test, you do not want to miss a class!! he is a big gator fan!

One of the best Math professor i've ever had! He will explain the same thing over an over again till everyone is on the same page! Has lots of knowledge and helped me clear problems that i've had since high school! LOVED HIS CLASS!

Nice guy w/ passion for what he does, his quizes are very acceptable but his Testes are far to long for one hour and 15 min. Besides that he would of been a Great Stats Prof but should there really be a divider between nice fairness(Fallacy of Division; Advice if there's a prime alternative go for it!

EXTREMELY DIFFICULT CLASS, AND I PASSED THE AP STATS TEST WITH FLYING COLORS. THINKS HE IS THE ULTIMATE COMEDIAN, BUT HIS HUMOR IS MORE LAME THAN THE "IS YOUR REFRIGERATOR RUNNING" BIT. IN ADDITION, I DESPISE TEACHERS WITH AN ATTENDANCE POLICY. I PAY AND WHETHER I ATTEND IS MY CHOICE, AND THE GRADE I RECEIVE IS MY DOING.

To everyone here! This guy is the real deal. My name is Jorge & I took this guy back in 2007 for Calc 1. Derivative is the slope of the tangent line & the antiderivative is the area under the curve. Those are things to remember. Im graduating now with a Chemical Engineering degree and Im the only one that can do calc by hand with no need of a TI89.

I would not recommend him if you know another good teacher for statistics. He's VERY picky, and if he's not a big fan of wou, he WILL find something "wrong" in your tests. His teaching is good, but his grading is way too hard.

Great at explaining stuff and making sure you understand but there is a 10 min quiz at the very beginning of every class and they are only 2 - 4 questions long. He also goes over the hour and 15 minute class time almost every class. His 4 tests and the final are entirely way too hard for that time period and most of the class didnt finish.

Lebovitz is organised and teaches a difficult subject well. There are four tests, 10min quiz every class, and a comprehensive final. There is no homework. He drops four of your lowest quiz grades. Four unattended days are allowed. He loves to answer question in class and is a bit flattered when you come to his office with questions. Approachable.

I must admit this is one of the best professor ive encountered at BC so far ...hes very straight forward ,goes through the equations step by step with u ,no rush at all .Give you questions and walk around and look at them to see where u went wrong i had all As in my test.He's greatt!!!took him in fall 2010!

I am one who becomes unease when I hear any word related to math, but this class was amazing! There are quizzes at the beginning of classes, four tests and final. He is very clear. He knows many are new and goes step by step with you. Helps with calculator issues if needed and any other questions. He makes the class enjoyable. One of the best!

The best professor at Broward College. This guy loves math and he knows how to teach. This is not an easy class so do not I repeat do not take him if you are a lazy student. You must sudy for this class.

Professor Lebovitz is likely the best math teacher I've ever had! I never understood anything about math until I took his class. He is organized, explains things very clearly, and makes the class interesting. You have to make sure you do the work though, and you'll be fine. I highly recommend him, he's great!! He is a very good professor. He definitely knows his math!! and it doesn't hurt that he is funny too. He has about a million quizzes of which he drops the lowest few grade, he grades extremely fair!! He is a good teacher but he is way to sarcastic and not willing to help students one bit. He is so cut and dry and there is no in between with him. He really just was way to sarcastic all the time, to the point it was exhausting.

This professor is very good at explaining the material. Definitely one of the best professors on campus. There are a lot of homework questions but it helps out for tests. There are 4 tests, mylabsplus is 100 points, and the final is cumulative. No midterm. Final replaces lowest test grade. Study study study.

Professor wise, great. Very nice and considerate. Always emails back on time and helps you out if you have any questions or issues. Class wise: majority of the grade from the 3 tests and final so if you dont test well, this isnt the class for you. I had an A until I took the last 2 tests, I did well throughout the class but Im a terrible tester.

Prof Lebovitz is awesome for online. He responds to emails quickly and he gives helpful advice. The class isn't easy, but it is thorough and goes through the information in depth. I loved the course program he uses "knewton" because it lets you practice questions over and over until you get a hang of the problems.

Mr. Alan was so nice. Even though I took the class online, he answered every single email. I took that class in 6 weeks and I got an A. Totally doable, just do the homework and practice.

Best math teacher I have ever had. He has a true talent to teach. As long as you are nice and respectful he is the same way. He is super funny, and does not mind reexplaining topics.

I took his online statistics class, and I feel it was not too bad. Some of the content may be hard, but there is a lot of helpful youtube videos. There is a decent amount of homework assignments that help bring your grade up if you don't do great on tests, however; the homework can be quite time-consuming depending on the unit.
