He's too funny. Since day 1 you can start laughing at his jokes. He's very detailed with his lectures.Almost everything on the exams comes from the notes. He tells you what you have to study for. Pleasant experience it is being in his class.

I loved his class. I was never interested in psychology until i took his class. He makes you want to go to his class everytime you have it. IF you take his course.. be prepare to laugh and not want to leave that classroom

he gives lots of notes and his tests are straight from them. no tricks. he's very nice and a great professor - clear and explains everything. final is a bit hard but nothing was cumulative. TAKE HIM!

as said below, come2 class, "take notes" *important* ! 50multiple choice Qs. 40 frm notes, 10 frm book, no need 2 buy book caz wat he pts out 4 the exam just jot that down he says it while he points it out. revise notes carefully about couple of times b4 exam.... do listen to his silly jokes... he's nice professor

OK, this guy is HILARIOUS- but like many others have stated, he is TOUGH. His notes are thorough but enormous nonetheless. His tests are difficult, but make sure you've got ALL the notes, read them, study them, absorb them- it's the only way to get a decent grade. He gave me a C+, and I did everything above! If anything I'd go just for the jokes!!

He is an excelent professor, he jokes a lot. But actually his jokes makes you remember what he was teaching. I strongly recomend his class. He is very friendly, honest, funny, he helps you a lot.He is the BEST!!!!!!

he was the funniest guy i know with great stories and old jokes - which you can't help but laugh to "tell me about your fantasies and dreams, wet or dry" hahaha but really he's passionate about psychology and has a lot of notes which are a big help for his tests - which are not so easy- so study avidly and you'll do well - HE'S AWESOME!!

Rauchway is the man you are expected to know the material but he does his best to make the very boring dry topic of Psycology as funny as possiable

Psychology is NOT a dry subject, like someone else posted and also Professor Rauchway is neither funny, nor helpful or easy. The exams are deliberately tricky and only cover his material selectively. He also makes the most tasteless jokes that border on the **** and the ****ed. Most of the class did not get higher than a C. Take someone else.

He was very funny and almost innappropriate in his subject matter. I had trouble with his potty humor but it kept me on my toes. He wasn't helpful at all and his test sucked.

He is clear and repeat everything more times so you can take notes very easily. Only his jokes sometimes are too sexual.

Awesome guy!!!! He makes class a pleasure to attend. Him and I have the same sense of humor, so his jokes were histerical to me. Tests are straight from the notes, so if you fail, its pretty much your own fault. He takes interest in his students lives, and proposes a different, nonjudgemental way of thinking. No professor has had an impact on me

From day 1 Prof. Rauchway said test were from his notes and he wasn't lying. If you study the notes you will have no problem passing his test. My only problem was his jokes, at times I found them inappropriate. Easy A, Highly recommended

Dr. Rauchaway is a cool and a nice man. He is very caring and a great professor. There is never a dull moment in his class. His class room atmosphere is great...it feels like you are partying while leaning. he knows his stuff and tests are DIRECLy from the notes...don't even buy the text book....he's a nice man>

He was my favorite professor ever! I have now graduated but still remember him fondly

I found his class to be quite enjoyable. He is not for those who are easily offended for he is quite peverted. His tests are based from his notes so it is key to take good notes, and pay attention. The test are not easy, they require a good amount of studying. Read the textbook in the library, don't bother buying it, it is minimally used.

Good prof. very nice.but I truly deserved better than A-. if your late to class, your absent for that day. 3-4 tests during semester. 1 term paper. makes a lots of sex jokes. quite funny but sometimes very disturbing.

One of the best professors this college has! Couldn't wait to come to class - learned alot of interesting facts from him. He genuinely cares if you learn something in his class. He kept the class laughing, which eased the stress levels. Would take him again and again and again.

Great professor, tests come straight from notes and some reading from the textbook but mostly from notes. there are no papers! Very clear when giving notes and repeats the details he wants u to jot down.

Professor Rauchway is truly an amazing teacher!!! His jokes are the best and his class is easy if you pay attention. 3 exams and NO papers unless you want to do extra credit and it's VERY easy!!! VERY old fashioned views concerning his topic still uses terms that were considered out dated in the late 80's if u want to be able to discuss with others out of class be sure to do ur own research. and take what he says with a grain of salt.

Take this professor, you'll love him! His lectures are concise, clear and they always have a nice momentum. His tests are from the notes, and he'll let you know which pages to study from in the textbook. No surprise questions, just do your studying. He likes personal connections, 'cause he's a really warm type of guy. I learned a lot from you, Dr!!

Dr Allen is the funniest teacher i've ever had! His exams are straight from his notes. It's not hard to get a for him, always come in class and study mostly from his note and the book, he highlights what we need to read for exam.Basically, that class was my world!!!

he is the best professor in qb. his tests are straight from the notes-just study the notes thoroughly,its written the same way on test , barely any textbook use, and a very funny and sweet guy . i cant understand how anyone can not like him or his class. wish his other classes fit in with the classes i need to take. :(

Dr Rauchway is fair. He makes crude comments/jokes at times. His tests are 80% from his notes and are not easy. Overall, he is a very knowledgeable and reasonable person.

He can be a bit rude when you try to talk to him one on one. He teaches good but its hard to get a good grade since his test are so hard. learned alot.

who ever says he is hard must be stupid and or not listen to his lectures. his exams are exactly what he says in class. he gives good notes, and is a nice guy. i dont know why he curves as much as he does, i would just fail the retards. funny guy. highly recommend!

I loved this professor. I am not very good at taking notes and so got just B+ but I enjoyed his teaching anyway. I took summer course with him, wanted to take ss520 with him this Fall too, but unfortunately his class is already full. But guys you got to love this prof. His way of teaching is unique! QCC is lucky to have this wonderful prof.

I am taking his class this semester and find him to be a very good teacher. He basically tells you up front what he expects from you... If your late he will mark you absent. HE IS VERY CLEAR ON THIS ISSUE. His notes are exactly what he test you on, no surprises. He is very very fair.

Alan Rauchway was an amazing professor. He was a cool guy too. I had to take his class for the nursing program. So glad I did.

He was a great teacher. Took him back in 2008!
