He's an ok teacher, many students complained that he couldn't teach. He told the students what to study for the test a class or two before the exam.

He might not be the best but sure is a nice guy. Let's you know exactly whats on the test the day before the exam. So you can only fail with him if your stupid. Oh showing up is half the battle!

He talks too much about Pop music and other things not related to the subject. Sometimes distracting. At least it's not too boring. He tells you what you need 2 study for the exam. He's an ok teacher.

I took this course over the summer and he gave most of the class a C telling them, "oh it doesn't matter your'e just a summer student,your credits will transfer".Guess again professor,some of us might actualy go to this school.Thanks to you, I have to take econ. 102 again with someone who can teach.

he teaches awful, very boring and you would swear the way he downs diet coke, you would think answers would be at the bottom of the bottle. he is a weird guy who can't teach well at all. i do not recommend him what-so-ever! ohhh and he's fascinated with digital clocks.

Class is hideously boring! Coffee won't help and it was in the afternoon! You need to teach yourself because he teaches straight out of the book. Reading the book is more helpful then showing up for class. But his tests are easy because he tells you whats on it the day before...can't fail the class!

Horrible teacher. Makes students by one edition while he goes by another edition. Tests were ridiculous since most of the questions were from his edition and not ours. Most of the class was doing real bad. DON'T TAKE HIM!!

His class is horrible in the beginning, but it just takes time to get used to the way he teaches. He doesn't teach that well, but his tests aren't that difficult and he gives a review for the test. He is boring, but you don't even have to show up and you can still get a B.

O dear God he is so boring! He's a really nice guy, has a freakishly lenient policy on cheating, meaning even if he sees you exchanging answers he'll think you're talking about weather. But its so boring! Do not recommend!

He loves economics so much that he can't even remember any of the numbers. He has to check back into his notes to figure out very easy computations. He does go off on tangents and can be funny, although most of the time its just him copying his old notes on the blackboard.

I do not understand why so many people complain about him. I maybe studied a combined 6 hours for his three exams and I got an A in the course without ever getting an A on a single one of his exams. His tests are from the notes and the book no surprises just a little effort which I suppose is a little too much to ask of Queens College students.

Worst teach ever. If a class is 1 hour, he would spend 10m on attendent, 10m on rest, 15m talk about other stuffs, 25m on real class. I have no idea what he says in the class and have to read the book myself, exams are difficult. Do not recommoned.

Prof. Wienman is a nice guy, his teaching methods may be off-beat, but if you "click" with him, you are almost guaranteed an A. He jokes around almost the whole class, even while teaching, thus keeping the atmosphere upbeat. He was very understanding, allowed me to take the final early, and in another school... very clutch. Good guy, good teacher.

He doesn't give extra credit and only base on 2 midterms and final to grade the course. The most annoying things that I don't like about him was he talk too much especially during the tests.

Nice guy and easy to talk to. I enjoyed when he would sometimes go off the subject and discuss music. Most of the stuff he teaches is faily easy to understand though sometimes he does seem to confuse the class and himself. The tests didnt really cover certain parts in the book and often at times the questions seemed very tricky.

This professor take attendance at every class. which counts on your final grade. has two exams and a paper which counts as an exam. he curves every exam based on class average mad easy going. if you go to his reviews and study exactly what he say you'll do well. remember to submit the paper which is the easiest. took me three hours to do

This guy is funny. Its true, he can't get over his past. He keeps talking about how he went Martin Van Buren HS and his childhood experiences in Queens. He talks during exams which is a pain. Test questions can be tricky, and some questions rely on charts he gives in class (specific Q's from chart), so you MUST show up to get those points. He's ok.

I have no idea what everyone is complaining about, this class was a breez. Fun guy, doesnt care if your there, teaches straight from the book word for word but it makes it the much easier. ITS ALL ABOUT THE REVIEW! JUST STUDY WHAT HE TELLS YOU! Easy A great guy.

He's incompetent and stuck in the past. You won't learn anything from him, just go by the book and pray that he doesn't include more autobiographic information than actual economic concepts on the exams. Good Luck!

Nice guy. Very knowledgable. Tests are hard. Its important to read the textbook and not just the notes. He tests you on examples that describe certain concepts rather than on simple definitions. You can get an A if you work very hard.

Very nice guy but honestly is a bad teacher and dont even bother asking him a question becuase his answer wont be helpful.his notes and examples that are directly from the book. His tests are also random and unfair. I would not recomend taking this proffesior.

Don't listen to all of the people who said negative things about him. The guy really is great. This is my second time taking him in 2 semesters. He's a very laid back and teaches straight from the textbook which I think is great. His reviews are very helpful as well. Highly recommend him for both Econ 100 and 102.

Originally 3 tests, but only gave 2, with like a 25 point curve, which was great. Tests were hard, but the material is too, boring, and confusing. Attendence isn't mandatory yet he spends 20min a day on it, HMM. Gives you a chance to do an extra credit report for extra points on your average. He's nice but, avoid the class if not required.

His tests are extremely hard. there are other professors teaching the same material that dont make you do half the work he makes you do. His lectures and teaching style are irrelavant. He makes a simple econ 101 class into like a 300 level class with graphs and useless analogies. Even reading the book is useless and he chooses the hardest text.

Im going to tell you a short story. I took business 243 with this guy. On the day of the midterm i walk in and he doesnt have enough tests so what does he do? he says you automatically get an A because he doesnt have the tests. Then on the final I do well and in the end i get a C+ has anyone ever heard of that? stay far far away from him, trust me

Gets the material across, gives fair multiple choice tests, and some HW assignment that only can benefit your grade. Talks a little too much about working at his old job and stuff. But overall, not bad. I will say he also gave a great lecture on the stock market, which wasnt a topic of ECO102, but nevertheless was insightful

He likes to give tricky exam questions. That's the only con I can think of, other than taking 20 mins for attendance. Studying class notes and the textbook are both necessary for success. He gave interesting insights of the industry from his previous job which was helpful for this marketing class. He's kind of funny and has a quirky personality.

I took Alan for eco 101 over the summer and was happy with him. He's an easy grader- he adds 10 extra points to your grade just for doing a couple of extremely easy HW assignments. The difficulty of his tests are about average (there are a few tricky questions, but mostly its a fair test). The tests are directly out of the book which is convenient.

Honestly I thought this class was an easy A or maybe thats because Queens College is made up of a bunch of liberal idiots. I do recommend this guy. He actually made a mistake on my grade but went back and changed it. He def. knows what hes talking about but sometimes tends to go off topic. He might have A.D.D and tends like 2 bottle of diet pepsi.

Worst professor on the planet. I knew the economics department was filled with winners, but he takes the cake by far. Walked out of the final feeling like i never attended class. barely teaches anything, goes on long tangents, goes very slow, has to curve like 30 pts on tests just to make grades look decent. Words test questions horribly. AVOID!

He makes examples that are related with his previous life, for which he tells the history first, if you miss a class you wont understand the example. He also curved 30pts, on the 2nd test because he gave us incorrect questions, he did that to don't look bad with the dep. Do not take this professor, take another one.

This professor is a nice guy and all but he is just extremely boring and you always feel like you got a good grade but you get surprised by a poor grade with a curve.He also lied and said hell raise your grade if you have perfect attendance. so feel free to miss a class or 2 or 3.

The worst teacher I have ever taken. I did not learn one thing from being in that class. Don't go to class and read the textbook and try and get old tests because he recycles old questions and doesn't bother to correct their spelling mistakes. You won't learn anything in class, just read the book and hope for a huge curve

I took his Macroeconomics course and totally slacked off and still managed to pull a B-. He goes off on long tangents and you'll mostly learn the material from Aplia. If you ask him questions, he won't really answer it and will go off on a tangent (thinking that he did answer it). Overall, though, very nice guy.

I just want to say that Professor W. is fair and helpful. I like the fact that he reviews the material from the previous class, and clarifies any information that may seem foggy. The only thing is that I'm not happy about the book, which I told him about, and he is very flexible and open to student comments and opinions. Overall, he is a nice guy.

This is by far the worst professor I've encountered. He is unclear, not structured, and not helpful. Im an honors student and found this class to be grueling and overly difficult due to his display of the information. Please avoid him if hes still around. Queens College please do your department a favor and release this guy!

He is a great person. He does not stress you out and definetely gives you chance to do well in his class by giving a project. The one thing you need to do to succeed in his class is to create a study guide for both exams. You will be studying from many sources but the nice thing is is that he tells you exactly what to study for.

Professor Weinman is fantastic. A bit boring, but an easy A. Most people don't get his jokes but I did which is why I liked him so much. Tells you whats on the test and if you take all your notes and study them you'll for sure pass. Im incredibly lazy yet I still managed to do really well. I highly recommend him. It's literally impossible to fail.

EASY CLASS... 2 exam midterm and final. The review is the exam. He do not give a review sheet but if you come to class on the day of the review he will tell you word for word what is on the exam. A 2 page essay is due at the end of semester. class is extremely boring he try to make jokes that is not funny.

The first 15-20min of class are devoted to atendance and financial news. The rest of the class is comprised of bad jokes, boring analogies, and dreadful lectures straight from the book. Good news is he tries everything in his power for no one to fail. Huge curves, 24 point extra credit question on the final. Extra credit group assignment.

Wouldn't take again

Very boring class. During the whole semester, you'll wonder what's going on. Syllabus says midterm will cover 8 chapters, but he barely finishes first 2. However, he really CARES about student. I never saw any professor giving so much extra credits. Midterm 25 ponits and Final 50 points extra credits. besides 10 points paper assignment.

Everyone got an A in the class..i got 64 in the midterm and still got A. He gives huge curve. I dont know how much, but it's probably 60-70 extra credits. Take him for an easy A. but he's very boring and not funny.

You will fail the midterm and final... HOWEVER there is 2 EXTRA CREDITS: 1 that is MANDATORY and 1 that is not. I failed the midterm and did not so well on the final and I stil got a great grade in the class because I did both extra credits. Show up to class and take notes. Especially go to the reviews. (PS I hated Econ until I took this class).

This prof is obviously tenured, as he is a seasoned vet who refuses to retire. DON'T BUY THE TEXTBOOK. You won't need it because he copies the textbook on to the board in class, so stay awake + take notes. Smart and funny guy. Gives test of 60 mc ?s and may assign a group presentation. Gives lots of extra credit! Unclear prof, but you'll be good

disregard everyone. 101, will work on group project and a few exams. All are easy and he is overall oblivious to things. Awesome man, came in late but he cares for his students. Not a difficult processor. Review is all you need.

if u do well on the test and project you will get higher than a B-, ppl are mad they attended and did worse than ppl who didnt attend, but if u just study the material and textbook ply a little logic, the exam is easy and the project presentation is based on how u PRESENT. you literally earn your grade based on what u know, not merely attendance
