He is nice enough to give u an easy A
No Comments
very easy, funny, says no one ever fails his class
Education can be entertaining! :)
Not a very easy A, but HELL FUNNY, his classes are like TV-comedies. Has little to do with Physics =) BUT take his "Speed of light" course, not the "Atomic Bomb" - this one is difficult.
Prof. Bond is the funniest and easiest Core instructor. He looks exactly like Col. Sanders from KFC. He teaches the history of the Atomic Bomb, and in his lab sections, he doesn't give any take home labs. This is your best bet for 7.2
IMPORTANT : if u r in the "nuclear science" sections, then u have to worry a little bit, but if you r in the "light and gravity" section it is easy, u will know y when u take it,
the teacher is very thorough, and his explanations are clear.
This guy is Hilarious!! He has metaphors for everything to make you understand, while being simultaneously entertained. Everything from the lectures are on the test. If you get his lab - you are very lucky. He's is one of the smartest and best teachers i
He doesn't even take attendance but I still go to class because he's a lot of fun. Bond is an example of how a professor should be. If you don't have him for Core 7.2, then you're missing out, he's the only guy you should pick for this core.
Currently taking the Atomic Bomb section. I suck at sciences and am running an 86% test average. Tests are pretty easy, and he adds points because of his grading system. He DOES look like Colonel Sanders, and he's really funny!
TAKE HIS CLASS! A funny and friendly man who made physics enjoyable. I took his nuclear section and it was great. It's entirely history and theory - no math. A really interesting and exciting topic, made easier to understand by a very gifted teacher.
A very nice guy. His tests are fair and easy if one comes prepared. If you are lucky to get him for both lab and lecture, you are blessed. He looks more like Col. Sanders than Santa Claus! He would have to gain weight to be Santa
The first and last science teacher with a personality and some pity for all of us non-science majors. The best bet for physics-- it makes the subject alive, interesting, and applicable.
One of the few professors in the core dept with a humorous personality. More importantly a rare professor who explains physics where all could understand.
For the Love of G-d, take the course on "Light" and NOT the Bomb! It's the difference between day and night! I had the bomb but knew others in light. Bond is by far your best bet for Core Physics, but please do yourself a favor and follow the L
He is the best teacher in science I have ever had..he explaination is very very clear and you actually understand them very well...unlike chemistry..I am taking the " atomic bomb" section. Its very very good..I want to learn more & more
One of the best professors I have ever had. Made an extremly boring and uninteresting part of Core Physics (the lab) a pleasure to attend. He was also the only reason I was able to get through the course thanks to a HORRIBLE lecture prof.
Bond is funny and a nice guy but he doesn't curve! The material isn't hard and he gives reviews but take LIGHT instead of the ABOMB. Also dont ****any exams, you will regret it. Best phys prof but sort of harsh grader with curves could be so much better.
Easy class, the tests are straight forward. He gives a review sheet before the tests and that helps a lot. He is also somewhat funny.
Fun class
everyone said he is cool and the class is easy. yeah right.very difficult midterm and final. U need to get copies of past midterms and finals to study from.He gives the same exact questions so u just have to memorize the answers for a few days.u R welcome
Not as easy as everyone says- at all! You have to memorize everything he says in class, because he puts the most unexpected and stupid questions on the test. He does not curve either.
Can someone who had the light section please tell me what kind of questions does he ask? and if its straight from the review sheet or not? Also is the book important for the class? thanks
The best professor!!! I took the BOMB section, and I just loved it, even though everybody was saying it is the hard one. He gives more history than physics. Don't be afraid of the BOMB :)
I took the bomb section and it was excellent. I highly recommend this professor, he is funny and will usually keep you awake. Thank your lucky stars if you get him in lab - he doesnt count it at all.
nice man greatest teacher - one catch tricky tests
He is great professor. He is funny and knows what he is doing. Thank the God if you get him as your lab instructor. You don't have to do anythign for lab. You just do the experiment and forget about it, but do attend it otherwise u will fail the class. Take him b4 he retires.
I took this prof's class after I'd dropped Franco's. He understands that this is a required class for everybody and does his best to make it interesting. The class was wonderful I still read the text book used in the class. Reminded me of Professor Marvel of the Wizard of Oz.
Nice guy, real funny but the exams are hard and confusing. You really have to study that damn atom bomb book to pass
Great for lab. classes are interesting but his tests are tricky and very detailed.
I remember these two russian guys could not stop laughing in this class. I do admit that his class was very funny from time to time. He made the lectures lively and made physics look like tic tac toe-literally. Take him, if he's not filled. Oh and I agree that he is TRICKY with his exams so study!
Everybody is saying that he is easy, well his exams are very tricky so really read the book
He understands that everyone is not a Physics major, so he makes the class easy and interesting. However, His exams are somewhat tricky, but the majority of the questions are from past exams, so make a "friend." He was interesting and funny and didn't make attending Physics seem like a drag.
funny, makes lots of jokes to make the class interesting
He's a great professor, almost all my core professors put me to sleep, but this guy makes class interesting and his jokes are actually funny, take him for atomic bomb physics.
i took the nuclear physics the one about the atom bomb..interesting stuff, funny guy, exams are a little tough though, but if youre not lazy you'll do well
I was bored, couldn't follow the material. The exams were really hard...I suggest taking his other class(the1 I thought I was siged up 4) because there R old tests 2 study from. This class is really too hard for a non-science major. The questions are completely random and you start off w/a 90% in lab
He is not a very fair prof, since half of the class has previous exams and therefore make him out to be a nice, easy prof, tests are very tricky and hard, and he makes up half of the theory's by himself, you have no book in case you dont understand lecture. Stay away from Franco too, horrible man.
Class is on the making of the A-bomb. Very interesting stuff, no math! Like everyone whispers on campus, take Bond for Physics! Make sure you get him as your lab prof, show up and get full 20% credit. 7 Labs, Midterm and Final make the grade. Take notes, so you don't have to cash out for the text
He is very fair. Make sure you get him as your lab professor that will be the easiest thing in your life. I had him for the Atomic Bomb class--it's only a $20 book that you don't even have to read; as long as you take notes you'll be fine.
e.o tried to scare me away from his atom class saying that only his light class was easy but that is so not true. the class is basically a joke work wise, and it's really really interesting, and i normally HATE science. sometimes he'll throw a curveball on the tests but overall any moron can take it and do just fine.
What an awesome professor!!! You gotta take his light class. Questions are very easy and he gave an extra 32 points on the 2nd exam. The greatest lab professor also, doesn't give a crap if u finish the project, when it's time to go, he'll kick you out. Great at keeping you focused throughout the lecture and no textbook required!!! A must take!!!!!!
u'll enjoy his paradoxes involving pregnant monkies and expanding garages. He's funny and makes the class interesting but his tests are tricky. Don't be fooled by the funny old man w/ a beard, u do have to pay attention and really understand the concepts that he explains during lecture. No textbook required. highly reccomended
Very captivating lectures. Try to have him for lab as well...it's the easiest 20% of your grade you'll ever get at b.c. Don't be fooled by his coolness as a professor. His tests are tricky and you must pay attention in class.

Great professor. if you hate science like I do, you are screw less when it comes to him. Please bring tape recorders.
hes so funny, tests are tricky, take notes, bring a tape recorder(he likes that), make sure u have him for lab, make a freind in the class, dont buy the book, and u'll be on ur way to passing physics with at least a B
Take him
Class is on the making of the A-bomb. Very interesting stuff, no math! Like everyone whispers on campus, take Bond for Physics! Make sure you get him as your lab prof, show up and get full 20% credit. 7 Labs, Midterm and Final make the grade. Take notes, so you don't have to cash out for the text
Cores suck for the most part, but professor bond make physics fun. He has a great sense of humor, if you dont laugh once in his class you need to check your pulse! Exams ARE tricky so write your notes well.

Do not be fooled. Although his class is easy, you can easily fail. You must show up because there is no textbook. You must take good notes and find someone with the exams. If you still fail, you are just an Idiot and need serious help. By the way, make sure you take him early to get the LIGHT & SOUND module. The A-Bomb is harder.
funny, hardy har har
very funny guy, no textbook required, no math equations and physics formulas to do. there is absolutely no homework ever. tests are simple, short, multiple choice questions. you have to pay attention and attend class though, and hope you get him for lab too, because he's REAL easy in lab, no lab manual required. great professor.
One of the best professors in BC. Very clear and interesting, impossible not to understand. Test aren't hard if you study and pay attention. Take good notes and bring a recorder to class. It's FUN to listen to the lectures in your spare time!
he is not as easy as people say
go to all your labs and you will pass no matter how you do in his class
He's a cool. chilled professor. His jokes are funny, and I really enjoyed his class. I hate physics, but he made it so interesting. NO TXT BOOK!
first thing, dont buy the text book, you do not need it. secondly, his class was easy at first but then gets harder. it is a decent class
he is a funny professor, but i felt that his exams are very hard! it's not easy to get a good grade in his class!
great prof, funny, doesnt give any work and doesnt expect much. Take him for lab also, no lab reports or anything, do everything in the class and thats it. Tests are fairly easy also if you go to class which I didn't but still did well.
Very funny professor. He makes the class pass by fast with his jokes. However, study for the 2 midterms and a final I think. Even though he makes it seem like a joke make sure you take notes and know them front and back before the test. Because those questions can be very critical for some people.
Funny, interesting, and great!
He's a funny teacher but you really need to study for his exams to get a decent grade. He's willing to help students. I recommend but i also recommend studying for the exams...a lot.
this guy is a complete disaster. He is the most unhelpful, arrogant, rude professor I have ever had. This course is strictly his way or the high way and if god forbid you don't understand him there must be something wrong with YOU! No book, no help from the learning center, "don't even bother" (straight form his mouth) and no compassion. Good luck
Great guy he is mad funny and tries to make the class interesting. Though I would suggest to bring a tape recorder because it helps out alot. Gives 2 exams and a final.
He is not an easy professor. First two exams are short 18-20 questions, so get 2+ wrong = no A for you. He is funny and entertaining, but doesn't really teach well. But if you got no physics knowledge before hand, he would be the easiest professor to take to pass.
This professor is WAAAYYYY overrated. His tests are harder than people say, because all the answers are possible (so either you know the answers or you have to guess) and the questions on the test are VERY tricky since there is only 17 and 20 Q's on the first two exams, if you mess up on 2 Q's, there goes your 'A'. He is funny and relaxed during the lectures, but lets get real...you want an 'A' not a comedian. If you don't mind a 'B' or 'C'...then take him. Although, I must point out that there aren't any other professors for lecture that are better and he is the best for the labs.
I am not sure why everyone says he's easy people who got 90's and 85's got C+'s this class is horrible he's absoulty crazy and has no concept of physics the only good thing is that this class involves absoulty no math but everyone does bad it is insane
he's alright. you better take notes if you want to pass though.. [all his lectures were on the test] and forget about the book, sh*ts more confusing that godknows what~ lol
OMG, whyyy are people saying this guy is good?!?!?! Hes so full of himself, and boring as hell! I dropped this class ASAP. dont even bother the man is LOONEY!
I told the professor that my father had had a heart attack two days before the midterm and was unable to take it. He required a doctor's note and still did not allow me to take the exam, and gave me a grade of 0.
This guy definately made the class for me. I am by far NOT a science person and he made me want to come everyday. Very nice guy, who pretty much bases his lectures on making jokes every 5 minutes to keep you awake cuz who could stay awake listening about physics for an hour+. Only 2 tests and a final...tests are short but make you think a little
Hes a really nice guy, reminds me of a cross between santa and colonel sanders from KFC. Ppl make it like he's the easiest teacher ever, he's not. You need to go to class, pay attention, take notes. The book is simple as hell and helps when studying, but notes are ver important. Weekly labs are fun but annoyin to go to. Be dilligent and youll be ok
class goes by relatively fast, decent teacher, but very easy. no homework at all, all labs are done during lab, nothing to take home, tests are easy, final extremely easy, only slightly cumulative, easy A with minimal effort
HE is a nice professor with lots of sense of humor which at times can get annoying. Its hard to follow what he talks about during his lectures because he is often confusing. The tests are pretty easy especially FInal. Some Labs are very frustrating, lots of graphs and thinking. HE isnt the GREATEST professor but he is GOOD. Buy the book............
He ok professor but don't write much on the board. The key in his class is bring a tape recorder to help you on his exam.
Bond is strict about being late - so come on time unless you want him to make a nasty comment in front of the whole class. Also, for some CRAZY reason, he doesn't let you write on the exam itself - something that he should abolish because it leads to many careless mistakes in multiple choice tests. All his tests are multiple choice. Labs are a MUST
Heres the deal for this class... he teaches 95% what you need to know for the exams. interesting stuff if you like physics and atomic bomb history. YOU MUST ATTEND EVERY SINGLE CLASS OR YOU WILL MISS VITAL INFO AND BE LOST FOREVER. SIT UP FRONT, PAY ATTENTION, ASK QUESTIONS AND YOU'LL DO FINE. NOT THE EASIEST MATERIAL
A MUST TAKE for core physics, especially if you are not mathematically or sci inclined. He explains the history behind the concepts, which makes them clear. Very good & fair grader w/tests. If you have trouble, you must talk to him. 100% of the material is based on the class, so you MUST attend in order to get an A or do well. Very enjoyable!
I didnt like his class when i took him but if i look back at the class it wasnt so bad. his tests are easy. he explains the material really well.he is very helpful. dont be late ever. dont worry so much abt the labs.I wouldnt take him again but he is really good for core physics. i never took physics before and now i actually get physics. Take him!
Funny guy, but a few might find him a bit offensive at first. Do NOT be late, do NOT miss lab. Exams are straight forward, but if you make one mistake like putting a decimal point in the wrong place, which then carries forward to following questions, he'll grade the whole lot as incorrect, even if the numbers are right. Very entertaining guy tho.
It's Physics, so it's going to be hard but he makes it a bit better. Very laid back, tests are multiple choice, only a few hw assignments, and all you need to do is show up to lab.
im not a sci major but this is my favorite class!! he is such a funny guy n make the class VERY VERY interesting. go to class pay attention n u'll do well.he looks like santa claus too.
Making of the Atom Bomb was a hard upper tier core to take. Had and still have no interest in physics or the Manhattan Project, and although the professor seems nice and told jokes a bit, the class was pretty dull. You can tell he's a good professor who knows his stuff. MUST pay attention in class And do the reading, the tests were pretty hard.
I took this class back in the spring of 1997, having him for lab was awesome, but for the lectures oh boy! that was torture, total boredom! but take good notes and ask questions
Nice guy if you do your work and show work. Tells jokes that are not bad. Work requires studying but overall can be done. Passing is more than likely he is a good professor who knows his stuff and gives a good story.
This is an upper core class, called "Making Of The Atom Bomb". If you have no interest in physics, or this subject, he will make it interesting, he's a good guy. I love this subject therefore I took it. He is a very strict Professor. The exams are not easy, but he will teach you the history of the A bomb. Wrote a 25 page page paper on the H Bomb.
His tests are a bit difficult, but they're all multiple choice questions. Can get away with not doing the reading, but you really have to pay attention in the class. His lectures can get a bit boring sometimes, but he keeps things lively to the best of his abilities despite some of the subject matter being dull. Fantastic professor, really nice.
Bond does not accommodate students needs. He does not give a make up midtern, no matter what your excuse is, and did not even care when I told him that I had three finals on the same day. He does not even curve. Take if you want a course to pass/fail,do not like geology, and do not care about doing well.
An ok professor. Makes a lot of jokes but overall, a decent professor. Labs are annoying as hell though
