He is one of the heads of the math department, and is really helpful, super nice and *cute*

I've had Mr. Groccia three times now. He is the best. Take him for every math and you will not fail. Listen to his lectures and take REALLY good notes. Mr. Groccia is the BEST, hands down, teacher at Valencia....Trust me!!!! Take him...

Professor Groccia is an amazing teacher. He truly knows how to effectively communicate the math language so that any person, smart or not, can understand it. I am so impressed with his teachings, that I will take him for STA honors.

HE made my greatest weakness( Math), into one of my strengths. Easy work, just study and take the notes. HE is very helpful, and even has a sense of humor. Take his class, you won't regret it. Also look for Liela Sisson for College Algebra.

Mr. Groccia is an excellent teacher. He cares about his students and it shows. There are no surprises with him because he prepares you so well. If you want an "A", practice what you learn in class by doing your homework. Online quizzes and homework count towards your grade so don't take them lightly.

I agree with all the students in the above. Hi is extremely talented - but knowing the calculator will increase your grade by 30%. Also some of the test questions are form the homework or the quizzes that will increase you grade by 15%. I highly recommend the students to do those 3 steps ( know you calculator, do your homework and quizzes)

He's taken a person with a low math level, & helped me realize I'm not as dumb as I thought in math! He already has notes ready for you. He breaks everything down from stupid math to the more difficult parts. He has practice examples and quizzes to practice the lesson on. great class. notes redi-made, u have to buy them(not expensive). do not buy the textbook. it's in the library, use it when you have homework. you can use your homework and the redi-made notes on the tests. final was cumulative, again you can use your notes. there is a project you have to do, but it was basically easy. sugestion: do m&m's.

He is an awsome teacher. He uses his own notes that you write on and he works the problems out with you. If you have a question he will help you out until you understand. YOU SHOULD HIM FOR ANY MATH CLASS YOU HAVE.

Great Professor...class is a breeze. Does not require you to have a book as he gives you an in class workbook that you will use the entire semester. This class was easier that college Algebra. They should teach this class to middle schoolers. Funny how the professor started almost every class with a funny youtube video.

This class definitely covers a lot of material, but he is an awesome teacher! There is no way I could have passed this class with another professor! Great professor. He teaches in layman terms, so it's not tough to understand. Gives many real life examples and shows quite a few videos. You don't need the textbook, just the notebook. The textbook is for reinforcement, but honestly, you won't need it. He's a great professor and I'd recommend him to anyone.

He is the best at what he does! He never goes on if someone has a question and he encourages them, he is always willing to help just ask. You don't need the text book, he has his own work book, I never used the text book and got a B+ in the class. If you want to have a good laugh while you learn take him, you won't regret it.

The best STA Professor EVER !...I suck at math but with this professor it was a smooth semester. I got a B in the class. I strongly recommend this professor if your taking STA, you will miss out if you don't. He's clear with EVERYTHING and the notes are most important. He lets you use them on the final exam. He's just a great professor over all.

Let me keep it short and simple, if you can't pass his class with an A or B then you shouldn't be in college. I am terrible when it comes to math and I passed with a high B. It would have been an A but I got lazy and didn't do 2 creative problems and became lazy on 2 of the quiz'. Absolutely AMAZING professor, hands down.

DON'T TAKE HIM... Just kidding, this professor is seriously one of the best in Valencia. He's funny, helpful, and sweet. His workbook is only $10 and no textbook is needed. 4 tests, an online quiz each chapter, and you can use notes on the final. I ended up with almost a perfect score! Loved his class!

I have never had a class where the professor has created a notebook with notes and outlines, he is practically giving you an "A". You do have to study, complete mystatlab assignments, and bring your best effort. You have to be very lazy not to pass this class. He will train your mind to think in Statistics. He is sweet too.

Excellent teacher. Uses his own notebook with his own test reviews. Teaches very clearly and repeats things 3-4 times to make sure students understand. He made some of the very difficult concepts in Bus Calc seem simple & logical. He preps you thoroughly for tests. I am taking him again this semester for stats and have been very pleased. TAKE HIM!!

One of my favorite math professors. Groccia turns a boring subject into so much fun. Do your mymathlab homework and study for tests and you'll pass the class with an A. Quite literally, the BEST professor at Valencia. He should probably leave he is so good. But I'm glad I had him for Calc, online no less. His lectures are amazing! He is very tech forward so I was a little uncomfortable with the video presentation and intro stuff he wanted us to do, I passed on some of it, but as for as Calc goes, he is King.

For someone who is awful at math, I did pretty well in this class thanks to the way Professor Groccia has it laid out. His notes are really informative, everything is done through mystatlab, and if you're having trouble with something he always gets back to emails really quickly. I wouldn't say its an easy A but an A is definitely attainable.

I took his online Statistic class. He is pretty easy if you watch his lectures. His class isnt that hard.

This is one of those proffesors that I which I could have for all my classes. Clear teaching. Repeats, a lot, important points. Follow his method and you will learn and do great. I recomend watching all his full videos prior or instead of reading the book. Cool teacher :)

I took this online class in the summer. He provides videos of his class lectures to learn the material. It was an accelerated class so we had homework and quiz for a chapter due every friday and monday. The quiz is similar to the homework. If you do the homework you will be fine.

Listen. This professor is amazing!! I took statistics 3 times!!This was my fourth time taking it and I passed. I ended up with a C not because he was hard but because I slacked a little bit. If I didnt, I wouldve ended up with a A+. Exams not proctored. My stat lab homework assignments. One project(super easy, did it in 3 hrs, got a A). Take him.

I took him for fall semester, which is online due to covid. I took his RTV class, and he is such an amazing teacher! I was so scared to take statistics, but I havent recieved anything lower than an A, and have a 97 in the class! (and im not good at math) if you have to take stats, TAKE HIM!!!!!!!

Just pay attention in his lectures and you will know everything you need to know for the tests and homework. Gave students time to catch up and extended some deadlines, always replied quickly.

This professor was seriously one of my favorites! I don't usually enjoy math but he provides all the resources needed to be able to succeed in this class. If you just watch the videos or go to his lectures for the hw you will pass. It's an easy A if you do your work right. I would def take again! Super nice and tries to help out as much as possible

I took his class through RTV and he was easily my fav. He always goes back when you don't understand something and offers so many practice problems & explains it in a way that's easy to understand. He is heavy for calc on having your algebra skills nailed down & he does move quickly. Test, quiz, hw & create a prob for each chapter. final & project.

LOTS of homework You need access to MyLab for homework. Classes are great, he explains the subject very well, and if you have questions, he answers to email very quickly. It is not a very easy class, you really need to study, and do your homework.

AMAZING PROF! When he teaches he gets straight to the point, there's a lot of material to cover in class but he explains it in a way that is easy to learn and understand. HW has a lot of question but I use them as practice problems for the test & because there's so many problems, by the time the test came around I pretty much knew it all.

Professor Groccia is such an amazing professor. He explains things throughly and is always available to help when needed. The hw can be confusing at times but the tests are usually easy, you really have to study and practice.

I wished all professors can have this guy teaching skills!! He's very much organized, helpful, and funny. The class is worth going to because of how he is going over all the materials. STOP LOOKING AND GO FOR HIM!!!

Proffesor Groccia is exactly what you want from a professor when you sign up for a class. The test reviews are very similar to the tests so nothing on the tests should catch you off guard. He is accessible and helped me out with any questions I had on the material. If you are reading this to decide wether to take him or not, just do it now.

Professor Groccia is an amazing professor! He clearly understands statistics and provides so many opportunities to pass. His grading criteria is very clear. Basically just take the notes and do the assignments. Easiest math class I've ever taken.

Great class! (And thats coming from someone who hates math w a passion) I had low expectations but the prof is wonderful. Offers a diversity of study materials, helpful for those who like to study either via "online lecture" powerpoints or class notes style. Standard quiz / test / hw set up through stat lab. Invest in the recommended calculator!

Amazing! I was scared to take statistics, but this prof. made it so easy and fun. Nothing too complicated: weekly homework(easy and unlimited attempts), a chapter quiz (2 attempts), and a weekly "create a problem" (he provides examples so it is very easy to understand the assignment) Not a tough grader, just do your work. Stop looking & take him!!!

This professor is the best math teacher I have ever had and the only math class I have received an A in. If you read the textbook and watch his lectures, you'll do just fine. He is also very quick with responses. I highly recommend taking his class.

He is literally amazing. It can be very confusing if you have never taken statistics before though. He is always willing to answer questions and help, don't be afraid to ask. If you pay attention and be ahead on everything, you will get an A. The end of the semester did get a little stressful from the exams and project, but it was great.

I was able to pass only by using the "show an example" in MyLabMath. There is HW 20-40 Q's (unlimited attempts), Quiz 15 Q's (2 Attempts), and a Create a problem for each week/chapter. They are fairly easy and he is quick and thorough to grade and offer help. Would take again in a heartbeat!

Great professor! He truly cares about his students and their grades. Always willing to help and repeats and updates information all semester so there is no confusion on deadlines, homework, test, or class. Amazing math teacher all around!

Mr. Groccia was an amazing professor, I would take him again. I took his stats course as a real time virtual class, and he provided clear notes and instructions. Encourages questions. Genuinely wants you to do well. Skipping class doesn't affect your grade, but I would recommend going. If you attend class, be ready to do a lot of practice problems.

I'm bad at math but do the work & you'll pass. Got the grade I got cause I didn't do some of the work. Super helpful & cares. Provides notes/lectures for each unit. Unlimited attempts on homework, 2 attempts on quizzes. Midterm + final are not bad. DOESN'T accept late work but will help you if you're struggling and ask, even offers if you need it.

I will start this review by saying, I am terrible at math. I have taken calculus classes before and struggled time and time again and I was nervous to take an ONLINE calculus class. However, Professor Groccia is the most amazing math professor I have ever had. He has dozens of resources and responds quickly and effectively. TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!

Great Guy

One of my favorite professors, very knowledgeable and respectful. Knows his stuff and explains it in a way that is very easy to understand. If you do your work and pay attention to class (I took an RTV course) you will have no problems of passing.

I highly recommend taking his math class. His lectures are exceptional and by repeats the steps multiple times. Though there's a large amount of homework, it's manageable as long as you stay attentive. He records all of his lectures just incase you miss one. One of the best professors I've encountered. Don't hesitate, just enroll in his class.

I was afraid of stats before, but he really helped me understand it to where now I can mostly do it myself! Lots of HW but he is generous and as long as you're honest he works with you. His lectures/notes are the key! Don't be afraid to reach out to him he does not bite. Gives great feedback, easy to understand, accessible... Take Prof. Groccia! :)

Prof. Groccia is an amazing stats teacher. His lectures and notes are super helpful, and he's always willing to provide extra support. I was able to pass the class with regular attendance and using unstuck ai for study prep. Definitely take this class if you can!

I don't know my final grade yet, I'm about 3/4 done with the course. I'd recommend taking him he has helpful video resources he made himself for exam reviews and in-class content. The only downside is graded attendance, but showing up in person is genuinely useful, and his reviews closely match the exams. My lowest exam grade was a 87 the rest 90+

He is an great professor. I don't do well in advanced math, but he made it so easy to understand. His lectures on zoom are as good in person. There are usually 3 assignments a week. He gave me extra time on a test when I needed it. If you submit lake work, he gives you 50% of the credit. However, I don't like that he doesn't give any extra credit.

I am NOT good at math in general but he makes it easy to understand. Every week there are 3 to 4 assignments that are not hard, you just need to complete it then you will pass with an A. Also he cares for his students so whenever you're struggling then ask for help and he will help you.
