Onsite course. Much worth going to class.Very straight to the point teacher. Very outgoing and knows what he is talking about. Very flexible and does not require the book. He has his own handbook for class which is very helpful.

Some say he is harder than other professors, but I took this class in a 6 week semester and walked away with an EASY A. IF YOU GO TO CLASS, take him seriously, and actually study, you should pass. I have a full time job, a family and a full load, so he isn't hard at all! It is a pleasure to listen to his lecture sine he jokes and makes it relevant.

He is an amazing teacher! He has his own $10 textbook which is better than the hardcover one he suggests you buy, but we never use it in class. Everything is based from his red notebook. Very understanding and just a very down to earth guy!

The course material by name sounds hard, but the way Professor Groccia teaches he makes sure you understand the material. He makes it very easy to comprehend and the class environment is relaxed. Really nice professor, BUT talks really fast and is very confusing. Doesnt use the textbook he uses his own manual. If your not good at Math don't take him. And if you are good at math I suggest you get a tutor for this class! Plays music in the class while you are trying to work, very distracting and makes it hard to concentrate.

Professor Groccia is awesome. I took the 6 week summer course and passed with an A. He doesn't curve. He makes his own workbook so the textbook wasn't required or needed. He's got a great sense of humor and he brought us chocolate chip cookies to the final. Great professor. Take him! He's the best at teaching Statistics at Osceola Campus.

Al Groccia is the best Statistics teacher I ever had! He uses a lot of real-life example. Also, the homework is online and so are the quizzes! You don't need the textbook, but gets his notebook for sure. You can take the quizzes twice and he'll take your highest grade. For the final, it's open notes everything. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING THIS TEACHER!

Took him for STA2023 in SpringSummer 2013 and decided to take MAC2233 with him as an elective since I needed two more electives to finish up my time at Valencia. One of the best decisions I've ever made. Course is challenging, but he is always available to help answer any questions. Also allowed notes on certain tests and final is open everything.

Professor Groccia is kind, and funny. He is inspirational, and wants all his students to pass. Four test, one exam, and a little project (It's not as bad as it sounds). You do mystatlab, but that's also not hard, just time consuming. The course overall was challenging, but if you study just a LITTLE, you'll get a B. It was pretty easy A tho.

His class has 4 tests (In class) , a homework and quiz per chapter (online via MyStatLab), a final project, and a final which is open everything (In class). He allows you to use during the 4 tests a 'create a problem' and/or notes that you get to use on the test.

I took him online and it was great. He actually post power points and videos of his lectures and it helped a lot. He does drop the lowest homework and quiz grade. Homework is unlimited and quiz is 2 tries. Beware the homework is usually 45+ questions.

He made stats so easy. He explains in a really simple way. Easy class if you pay attention. No book required ( just some notes), and you have to buy the online lab. The online lab is the only thing that is boring and takes time ( for me it took hours). Otherwise, he gives recorded classes in case you miss one. Very good class, and I have an A.

I took this professor online and I have to say I was worried about taking stats online. I just took my final and I ended the course with an A. Math in general is the hardest subject for me, but this Professor definitely made it so easy for me to interpret. Just do the HW over and over until you get it right and you have 2 attempts on the quizzes.

Amazing class! Midterm and Final taken at testing center, unlimited tries on HW, two tries on quizzes, and a final project that you can do individually or in a group up to 3 people. He responds quickly to messages and has plenty of videos to help you in his course. Great professor highly recommend if looking to take stats online.

I've always struggled with math, but this class was different. I was able to understand all the material and his little workbook he has available in the bookstore was a life saver (you can use it on the final so take good notes). If i wouldve given it a little more study time i know i wouldve been able to get an A but other than that he is AMAZING.

Very nice lectures, I did like how you can buy blank notes at the bookstore. Lots of assignments but even if you are a lazy person like me you can still do fine in this class as long as you learn what he gives you.

Professor Groccia was a good teacher! He took his time to teach the material and answers any questions you have. He gives review packets and the exams are similar. I took his class during the virus and even though we transitioned online the course still went smoothly. As long as you do the work and review you will do fine!

Professor Groccia is a fantastic prof! 10/10 would take again!! There are 6 chapters and for each chapter you need to complete: 50 question hw. Quiz, written problem and 10 questions with many parts test. And a final project at the end of semester. Yes he gives a lot of work, but its really helpful and if you have any questions, he helps!

He has a lot of resources to get the class material. You basically can have a video of all the classes so if you are used to taking face to face courses you can take his class and you still get the same material to work as a face to face class. I really recommend him!!! GOOD TRANSITION FROM FACE TO FACE TO ONLINE CLASS!!!

Homework, quiz, create your own problem, a project, midterm, and final. The work is due every week or so. HW is EXACTLY like the quizzes. He also has a lot of lectures and resources posted and responds very quickly to emails. He also has Zoom engagement hours if you ever need help. Take him!

I was so nervous about taking business calculus online but he provides a bunch of different resources to make sure you really understand the concepts of each chapter and is available for virtual assistance if you need it. There's A TON of homework but if you do it all you will succeed. 10/10 would recommend!

I took this class as a RTV so we had weekly zoom lectures which if you pay attention are helpful. If you dont go to them he provides step by step videos of him doing EVERYTHING so its all there for you The hw, small projects, and tests are all exactly the same so basically if you put in the effort to do you're work it would be hard not to get an A

Yeah, a lot of stuff to do within the week BUT, it is all super easy. Stats, the usual, so it isn't like the material was Easy, but he was a great professor. He provides great feedback and is always there to help. Definitely take him for online if you're on the edge about it! Everything was straightforward.

He is very caring, hes passionate about teaching, and is really funny. If you missed class, he has a bunch of lecture videos on canvas that follow along with an online class which is very helpful.

Let's start with he's a super chill professor and really wants you to pass, He explains everything so perfectly and makes everything so easily understandable for you, I remember going through chapter 7 notes and was like there's no way I'll understand this, but I got an 86 in the class. The study guide is exactly like the exams that is all.

I would 100% recommend this prof. He explains the material well and gives you options on how to learn the material. 3 hw assignments due about every 1 1/2 - 2 weeks and there's a midterm and final. Unlimited attempts on the hw and 2 attempts on the quizzes. The material itself is pretty difficult but with hard work, you can get through it.

His lectures are short and easy to follow. I took his virtual real-time statistics course and I cannot think of a better way and professor to take this course. just pay attention in class!

Great Guy

Professor Groccia cares about his students and their learning. The class itself is a little tedious, the same problems over and over but that's statistics for you. He is thorough and explains the concepts well. The class can be a bit slow but it's an easy A if you do the homework and attend the lectures or watch them at home.

I don't know my final grade yet, I'm about 3/4 done with the course. I'd recommend taking him he has helpful video resources he made himself for exam reviews and in-class content. The only downside is graded attendance, but showing up in person is genuinely useful, and his reviews closely match the exams. My lowest exam grade was a 87 the rest 90+

The class is very easy, can cheat on most, and the homework is ridiculous it is 30 questions for 10 points and each question has around 7 parts, other than that every exam and homework is easy, with around 4 assignments a week, contains a quiz, hw, creating a problem and then a test question, i really wouldn't take him again, spent a lot of time.

Amazing! His lectures were easy to understand and follow. I took his 8:30 class, and even with being exhausted he made sure we all knew what was going on. Easy grader, as long as you do the work he is laid back. I never liked math, but he made the subject understandable, I would take him again.

Professor Groccia is one of the best Professors I have had! He goes over really in depth in the lectures, sometimes he goes to slow, but that all depends on how easy you understand the unit. Test reviews are almost identical to the test I never got anything under a 95% on a test. You do have a final project and exam but it is very easy!

Mr. G is a great professor. I had him for my Business Calc class, and his lectures were so entertaining; he engaged with us constantly. ALGEBRA ALGEBRA ALGEBRA is his favorite phrase, he drills the course info in a gentle yet stern way. Great professor, would take again. Mr.Groccia was GREAT, he makes everything easy to understand and explains things at least three times. If you take him GET THE BOOK! We used it everyday in class and he goes through it step by step.
