wow if it werent for him id probably b failing but i have nothign but a's in his class. everyone that has him is lucky. because from what i hear from other students is that the other professors that teach algebra are hard

He does break down the material well enough to understand. I didn't like the fact that the final exam was timed.

explains things very well, but does go a little too fast, so you get out early a lot. I took notes and then had to go back over everything later. Doesn't give you time to work out problems in class either. Grades very strict; no partial credit but you do get to use note cards. Strict on time for tests also.

2nd time taking a class with him (302 Summer I, 303 fall 08) Damn great teacher, he explains everything you need to know at a decent pace and will help when ever possible. His lectures are easy to follow so take notes. I've found only 3 good math prof's here and its Looney, Chumley and Albert Guerra everytime.

He does take attendence regularly. So yeah... take him for his easiness but be prepared 4 those who already know what 2 do in math.

I am very bad at Math but his teaching style is so crystal-clear that I made really good grades on his test. I didn't even need a book or help from a tutor. He even lets you use a notecard on tests so there is no reason to fail on tests. Just show your work on tests or he will mark the entire problem wrong.

I found that his class was very easy and I am not really good at math. Make sure you attend class before a test because he give out a study guide and make sure to do the lab work. He is very clear and a funny professor I would highly recommend him to anyone

I've always hated math, I still do, and probably always will. BUT, thanks to Albert Guerra, at least now I understand it... I finished his class with a 100% average! He is so laid-back and relaxed that he makes learning easy. It's like this: If you hate math but need to take it, you seriously need to take Mr. Guerra's class! He freakin' ROCKS!!!

This is the best math teacher I have come across. The way he explains the concept is almost like a lecture. Very easy to follow and he loves to explain and repeat things the EASY way.

PROS- you can't get less than a 50 on his tests and you can take one of his other classes if he can accommodate you. CONS- His philosophy. " There's no such thing as close in Math, it's either completely right or completely wrong". He's also tough on students who fail his test. It's always " your fault for " whatever reason.

Mr.Guerra is the ideal Professor- patient, kind and actually cares for his students. He breaks math down to be understandable to anyone and encourages you to speak up so if you still don't understand something, he can explain in even greater detail.I encourage you to take his class if your having trouble with Algebra.I only wish he taught 1413

He explains everything very well but is tough on grading. Either it's right or wrong, no partial credits. He's funny though and basically isn't gonna put up with children or excuses. I worked hard got a B and Math is one of my worst subjects!

FANTASTIC teacher! I had him for Elementary Algebra and Intermediate Algebra and passed both with an A. He is very clear and straight forward. He was so easy to follow and he is very FUNNY! He does not get mad when you asks questions and he makes sure that you understand the equation before proceeding forward. Highly Recommend!

He is the best teacher I have had yet. Gives you homework but is not graded. You are supposed to have 4 tests and Mathzone to be graded. I have gotten 105% on the three tests we have taken this semester so far. I really like this teacher you should take him as well. I would take him for 303 if possible but I cant because of work.

Mr. Albert Guerra is a wonderful professor and person! I'm terrible at math but he is great in explaining things, giving examples and his reviews are great prep for college alg. He break math down so that anyone can understand him. I wish he taught 1314. I never enjoyed math until I took his class and he made me feel I could be successful at it. He is an amazing instructor.

I attempted this class previously and dropped it the 1st week. Albert was crystal clear with his instruction and I highly recommend him. I panicked for the final but I still did good. All homework is in ALEKS.

He's always helpful. He's never boring. Always making the students laugh which makes you pay attention in class. His reviews are exactly like his test. He lets you use note cards for test so it's easier for you to remember things. It's verrrrrrrry easy to pass with him. Just be there and learn.

Explains things in such great detail, you don't even really need to use the eBook. First class I have ever gotten a perfect average in. Has funny little quips and goes over reviews the day before the test. Very excellent!

I was able to continue my college education because of this man, I still hate math but he has shown me to respect it and not put it on an impossible pedestal. Make no Mistake you still need to put the time and work in to pass. but Mr. Guerra is a very enjoyable, forgiving, and most importantly, thorough instructor.

I took Guerra for 2 semesters Fall/Spring l. He is one of the greatest math professors Ive ever taken, I struggle with math and hes taught me so much he adapts to the learning needs of all students, if you need extra help or anything hill help you out. This class is kind of self taught. He offers great videos for homework. Personally, math is easy for me. But, for someone who needs a lot of one on one interaction, this class may not be for you. He posts reviews for the final which are very similar for the test. There is a great deal of homework.

I took professor guerra's online course for fall flex 2. I have been out of school 10+ years and I was very worried about how I was going to handle the course. Professor's notes are very clear and broken down, his lectures take you step by step on math problems and are very comprehendible. His availability outside the class truly helped!

He is so sweet and makes math so simple to understand. As someone who isn't the best at math it's refreshing to have a teacher who never makes you feel dumb. Mr. Albert Always updates you and even let's you know when there isn't class. If you get your work done on time and show you care, he is very lenient and let's you do things at your own pace.

Best math class I've ever taken! Every assignment was extremely similar to the notes and the exam was similar to the reviews. He broke down every problem and made it simple, He made videos on top of his zoom calls so we could go back and review if we ever got confused or needed a refresher. There are step by step videos that go with each assignment, even reviews for practice exams. If you don't make an A in the class it's because you did not care to. My final grade was a 102 because there is extra credit. This is an easy class if you try and do what you are told. There is also a weekly tutor-take advantage. The instructor cares.

Professor G's MATH1314 class was a game-changer. His clear notes, helpful videos, and patient guidance made mastering the material a breeze. Paired with Unstuck AI, I aced this course. Highly recommend!

I do NOT like math whatsoever, but Professor Guerra made the class very simple with his very helpful/understanding lecture videos he has I understood each and every subject we did. If you do not get an A or higher it is because of your own negligence.

This professor is the BEST math teacher I've ever had. Easy A, especially because he posts notes and videos. Multiple attempts on tests and unlimited attempts on homework. Very easy to get in contact, and responds less than an hour later even on weekends. I've never passed a math class before this professor. He WANTS you to pass. Take him!!
