This guy is one of the few MDC professors that truly make interesting a course, I took him for introduction to Philosophy, and took him also for critical thinking/ethics. The best professor I have had in Miami Dade, he gets into the topic and makes us stay plugged into his lectures.

thank god we don't need the book. if it was all on the book i would have been sunk a while ago. all you have to do is listen, think, remember, and think again. not much effort past those fronts.

Took him for both PHI2604 AND PHI2010. Wasn't TOO easy or TOO hard. You had to study a little bit to pass the class. Had to write essay since it was a Gordon Rule Class but wasn't very picky if I recall. Straight forward class.

This is one of the best teachers. I had him for PHI 2010 and PHI 2604 and I passed him with a A and B. I never studied for his exams i took notes and reviewed my notes and did the writing assignments and i passed his class. i recommend him to anybody

This professor was so nice. He does not intimidate you unlike some other college professors. He may talk quite a bit sometimes, but he talks about the subject though, not about politics or something. HE REALLY KNOWS HIS STUFF!!! I strongly recommend you take the class. You just need to pay attention in class and write whatever he puts on the board.

Great prof. very very easy, he is going to explain the exam questions over and over again, so there will be no problem for you to take his exams. Very help full. Awesome professor. I used to hate Philosophy and he made me love it. He knows what he is talking about and NEVER expresses personal opinions of his own. Extremely nice guy. His tests are very easy and he makes sure you understand his explanations. THE BOOK IS NOT NECESSARY AT ALL. He will give you a handout, that and your class notes is all u need.

This is a great teacher. He talks a lot but his test are based on his lectures; so go to class. His class is consist of quizes, tests, and writing assignments. He gives you time to make-up tests if you missed them plus hes very lenient with the writing assignments. Easy class to pass!

I am currently taking this class online. The class is much more interesting than I thought. There are 6 multiple choice quizes an 3 tests. This class is super easy and the professor is really nice. Makes sure you do all the quizes and discussion board assign. and you will have an A. He also makes really cool power point presentations!

I took this class online and the class was pretty easy. The professor is really nice and helpful. He allows you to retake each quiz twice and he also extended deadlines. Gives 6 quizzes and 3 tests. He is a really good professor.

Excellent professor, very clear and interesting power points. It was an interesting class, they consisted on 6 quizes, 10 mandatory board messages and 3 exams(they are essays) overall it was an easy class, but Prof. Lenel made it more interesting that I expected.

An excellent teacher! His clear explanations and knowledge of the material make the class very interesting, which is very difficult to achieve when it comes to ethics. Quizzes are a bit tricky. You need to study hard to get a passing grade. If you do not miss class, pay attention to his explanation and study the material then you will get an A.

Took his class online, great teacher, goes out of his way to help. You do have to keep track of all the assignments and the final is cumulative, but he is lenient if you need extra time to complete them. Would recommend.

Took class online its based on powerpoints no book req. easy teacher the test opens in a seperate window making it easy to do the exam "open book" lol I passed all his exams got a d in the final for never reading the powerpoints but got an A in the class!! Do the essays as best as possible and be argumentative state your point clearly

I have taken Lenel for 2 courses. He is an excellent professor. The content really requires you to pay attention as it will make u stop & think..but he does an excellent job in relaying the information. Not many professors left out there like him..if you value learning, you will enjoy him.

Prof. Lenel is one of the BEST professors MDC has! He makes it really easy to understand this course. There're several quizzes, but they aren't really difficult. The writing assignments are only 3 sentences, informal & based on your opinion. Pay attention in class, take notes, view the PowerPoint presentations, and you'll do well! Forget the book!

This is THE BEST PROFESSOR in the whole wide world! The guy has some type of gift for teaching the way it is supposed to be done! His class overall is easy, the quizzes and tests are a piece of cake and his clarity is crystal and he is helpful. What I didn't like is how repetitive he tends to be, there are certain subjects I wish he'd gone into just a little more detail. All in all, take him, you won't regret it.

Undoubtdly one of the best teachers i have ever had in my life. He makes the entire class and material very easy to understand. His lectures and powerpoints are really all you need to pass the class. Professor Lenel is a sweetheart. Every time he wants to explain something he makes a funny story to make you understand the point. He doesn't care that much for punctuality, but I highly recommend not to skip a class. He makes several quizzes, but if you listen to his videos online, you will find those, extremely easy. Great professor. Very professional and to the point. Had him for an 6 week class and would do it again. He tells you exactly what you have to read, what will be on the test and is a fair grader. Very good professor, take good notes gives you EVERYTHING! I bought the book but never opened it, has power points (and makes it available for you!), even records his voice like in class! If you can keep up and show a little interest in class you will pass EASY. If you are not interested and doesn't care about philosophy don't even try.

Amazing professor , he gives the essay questions for the quiz ahead of time , so students can get ready for it. he never gives pop quizzes and he always have remainders on the board. One of the best teacher I met, with clear and multiple supports, on time. He is always summarizes every theories; adds one by one every concept with the precedent with fun and kindness. Textbook is not useful.

Assigns a lot of work especially for the 8 week term. Online writing, in class writing, 6 quiz, 4 essays, midterm, final, Reflection paper and 5pg research paper (GSELS) all in 8 weeks. It is a lot but he makes it doable where you're not overwhelmed no test/quiz reviews but they are generally short and easy if you study but difficult if you don't

Listening to his lectures can be tough at times because likes to tell stories. Make sure to read his powerpoints and handouts that he posts in Blackboard and you will do really well in this class. You don't really need the textbook for this course.

He is a great professor. He gives you a total of 8 exams but does drop 2 of the lowest so that is extremely helpful. Most of the content is available on Blackboard, just review the PowerPoint and handouts and you'll be set for the exams. One of the most helpful professors in MDC.

Professor Lenel teaches a really great class. He makes the subject interesting and relevant, while also keeping it easy to understand. Professor Lenel was amazing. He has a clear grading level and the test are simple as long as you study the powerpoints. The book isn't really necessary. Overall, the test and homework are super simple. If you show up and pay attention you will pass.

To be honest I wasn't really interested in this class at first but I found myself using terminology from this class in my everyday life. Man this guy is good, give him a chance you'll see what I mean. As for the class the test are quite simple as long as you remember things clearly. However be prepared for those essay questions.

Lenel has to be one of the best professors in campus because he has a unique way of making his real life stories and scenario very entertaining and relative to the class material. Easy class to pass he gives a lot of quizzes and the lectures are really long but over all easy. Took him for both PHI2010 and PHI2604 and each have the same amount of quizzes and test. The book is also pretty affordable.

Professor Lenel is a sweetheart. My class was once a week and 3 hour long lectures. Takes advantage of the time and teaches what he has to teach. Interesting stories and gave us a lot of hw, 5 page research paper and quiz with an essay every class. EASY if you study for the quizzes, I passed with a B just because I didn't do the research paper.

Professor Lenel is a good teacher. He does requires txt book however I never used it and I still pass with a B. His lectures are long and a bit boring, but nothing to be concerned about its not so bad. If you study and do the homework youll pass his class with no problem. Overall his class is very easy, so I highly recommend anyone to take him.

He is the best professor at MDC so far because he is well mannered. It is very difficult to find a teacher who can teach or act properly. I appreciate his proper manner as a professor. I recommend students especially for female students to take his class. I will take his Ethics course and it will be my final general education class. Thank you, Y

Professor Lenel is a class act. He is professional, inspirational and teaches by talking about his own life experiences, which makes the class entertaining, in order to relate to his students. He encourages class participation and is very fair in his grading policy. He is definitely a professor I would recommend to future students.

Lenel was great and his anecdotes really help you understand the subject. There are quizzes every 2 weeks but if you study you'll be fine. You don't need the textbook unless you want more information.

Great professor, makes lectures very clear. He repeats what he says a lot, which becomes pretty redundant but it helps you remember the material. Many quizzes which include essays, a midterm, a final, and two papers. He's pretty lenient on grading the essays that come along with the quizzes as well as the two papers, just follow the given format.

Yes, if you're questioning taking him as a proffesor do it, you will not regret it. He makes the class in the beggining seem like its too much work lots of quizzes but oh my god the quizzes are so easy! and i'm really lazy in studying so for me to say that it's rare. He explains everything so clear, he's caring andvery attentive to the students.

Great professor. Six multiple choice quizzes with 5 short essay response questions throughout the course, a light mid-term and straight-forward final. There are also 2 papers, and 8 writing assignments on Black Board. He's an empathetic & lenient professor. Just be honest & explain your issue to him. I honestly don't know how people fail with him.

This professor is the best in MDC for PHI. The way he explains the subject is very understanding and he does it so good that just by listening to him you will pass the tests. Super nice. The tests are very easy and not a lot, the homework is in blackboard with five sentence of a topic in class. He is open to questions. You wont regret it!

TAKE LENEL! He is fantastic. I am not fond of philosophy, but he made the subject easy and interesting. He is detailed and eloquent when he's lecturing. He truly knows what he's talking about. Part of me thinks he's a genius. He's soo kind and his class is REALLY easy as long as you study his powerpoints and listen to him.

This is my second class with prof. Lenel. Any students will do well with quizzes and exams if they pay attention to his lectures. Even though I am a STEM major, with his amazing lectures, I found myself enjoying philosophy and it became my favorite subject. Many philosophers are mathematicians so STEM students also enjoy his class! Thank you!!

He is extremely funny and easy to listen to. His lectures are very interesting since he ties it to real life all the time. I barely had to study due to how good his lectures were (except the first exam, which was vocabulary words). He is also very easy to talk to if you have any problems. I definitely recommend him!

You don't really need the book because he uploads lecture clips, notes, and handouts. There are about 8 discussion boards, essays that are 5 sentences min. that should be taken during class time, many quizzes, about 2 papers, midterm & final. You have enough time to do the work! He is very nice and easy to communicate with! Take him! No regrets!

I really disliked philosophy, until Professor Lenel. His lecture clips were amazing, presenting scenarios where the argument would stand, and giving examples greatly help with understanding the material. His PowerPoints were to the point and made sense. I greatly enjoyed the W.A.'s where you could give your opinion on the matter. Best professor!!

Prof is a sweetheart, u dont have to go to class, the hw is pretty easy, my only complaint would be that the hw is due randomly so its kinda hard to keep track of.

Amazing class and professor. We were given a list of all the assignments, including quizzes and tests, from the very first day, with all the corresponding due dates. Professor records lectures (super helpful) and gives pdf handouts and ppt presentations. Material and grading criteria clearly explained from the beginning. Very organized and fair.

This is an easy A and an easy class to understand. His lectures are PERFECT AND AMAZING! He also has "Handouts" - literally the quiz CHEAT SHEETS. Use them, and you get an A in his class. You also understand the topics in this class, he teaches the material very well.

Very good professor, specially for a philosophy class, the class is hard because of the subject but he gives you enough to pass the class.

Get ready for 8 discussion boards,6 quizzes,2 papers, 6 mini-essay quizzes, and non proctored midterm and final. He's a good professor but just gives out a lot of work. He's kind of a tough grader, but at the same time, he's not; it all depends.Also, he only gave extra credit twice.

Awesome professor. He tries to make the class very fun and energetic. I love his tone when he speaks, it shows that he loves teaching Philosophy to his students. Very generous with assignments and grades. Highly recommend.

He is a very good teacher the class is made up of around 8 writing assig, quizzes,essays, mid-term,final, reflection paper, research paper. Although is a lot is fairly easy. The writing ass is min 5 sencte, the essays are around 10 sen. the research is 5 pages. You will have enough time to complete them and all the assignments are due the same day.

The best professor ever! Teaches with passion and gives easy and duable assignments. Essays, discussions, quizzes on each Module and two exams: midterm and final. Tests are all based on material and handouts he gives us in class. He is also a very understanding professor. You wont regret him.

I had a great experience taking the majority of my philosophy courses with Lenel. Extremely cool and open professor. You learn a lot in a wholesome manner that challenges you in all the right ways.

Professor Lenel was one of the best professors i've taken in MDC. his concepts and how he teaches his lectures are good if you WANT TO LEARN. there is a lot of assignment's but if your paying attention in class you should be able to pass his class with an A. Exams are not proctored.

Mr. Lenel loves his lectures and he's good at it, class participation is appreciated by him. Provides lots of hand outs and is very resourceful. I highly recommend him. Study the handouts and complete your assignments and you'll do just fine.

Everything is crystal clear from the beginning. Interesting lectures. Quizzes, essays, and discussion boards. That's all. Once a week, you spend a couple of hours outside the class, and you'll succeed in this class. This is from someone who hates Philosophy.

Professor Albert Lenel is a good professor to take for phi2604 and there is lots of work but everything has a due date and you will need to write a 5 page paper but it is easy. Great Professor to take.

Professor Lenel is one of the most caring professors that I have ever had at MDC. He truly believes in what he teaches and does it with excellence. His class is super easy his exams are based on handouts/powerpoints so I advise you to not rely on outside sources. 10/10 would recommend

he was great! i consider the hw amount to be fair but it is a lot of writing, pretty easy tho. I actually enjoyed everything assigned, he gives extra credit too! Easy A if you do the work. Quizzes, discussions and short essays + 5-page essay but it was easy. Mid and final but non-proctored.

This man is very knowledgeable in his field of study, Philosophy. Assignments include at least one discussion board post weekly, several timed exams and essays, a midterm, and a final. His demeanor is amiable and he seems passionate in conveying his lectures, which I find admirable! Grading criteria are fairly justifiable and balanced. Choose him!

Amazing professor, very clear instructions and great material.

I've taken this teacher twice and would take him again if I could. The tests are either short essays(2 paragraphs)or 15 question tests. The answers are always found in the power points or modules. The only homework is a response post every week or so and its only one paragraph. There is a book for this class, I never got it and was fine without it.

I did all the assignments to the best of my ability and got a B, 80%. nothing was proctored, i would recommend him but i just suggest to read through the stuff he uploads. Professor Albert Lenel for my Introduction to Philosophy course is, so far, my most favorite professor and class during this semester. He is thorough with his lectures and explanations and uses clear and concise examples to help the students understand the material better. Also, he's very funny and lighthearted. A great academic experience.

Professor Lenel truly cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He is passionate about philosophy. He provides handouts, lecture clips, and PowerPoint that are very thorough. I still recommend listening to his lectures because he points out common mistakes and provides good examples through very memorable stories. Loved this class.

My absolute most favorite professor at MDC. This is my second time taking him. All assignment info can be found in the textbook and in his lectures. His lectures are entertaining, engaging, and thought provoking. He cares about his students learning the material. Overall, great professor through and through. I look forward to taking him again.

Very great and chill professor. He is the type of prof. to open assignments (essays/quizzes/ midterm/finals) after the class ends, you have 2 days to complete it, but it is easy. The essays (6 in total) give you 3 questions, and you only answer one. The W.A are easy points to boost your grade so do it. He always gives reminders of hw deadlines :)

Very good professor! So kind and very very knowledgeable. Took his philosophy class and next semester I am taking his ethics class. Max 2 assignments every week but are about the topics discussed in class. Quizzes are online and are 10 questions each.

His class is AMAZING! I recommend him to anyone who considers it! Super easy work and he provides LOTS of clear information through lecture and in the modules on Canvas.

I took him online live and was amazing. Very understanding, gives you an oppertunity to turn in late work. He just wants you to turn in your camera. He gives a midterm and final but its really a quiz.

Professor is sweet and very lecture heavy, the assignments are usually 1-3 of them and due 2 days after the class was taken. If you want a “no work” or “easy work” class, I'd look somewhere else but this professor is very good and you will learn all there is with philosophy. Definitely recommend for those who don't mind a tight deadline with hw.

It makes you want to be in class all the time. They always ask questions that make you think from more than one perspective. I love it. They're kind, know how to connect with students, and have a good heart.

Philosophy is a hard subject but Albert made the class easy. Take him.
