Mundane professor. Class is fairly boring- he just lectures all day, every day. Papers are graded easily, although there is a lot of reading to do- Plato's Republic and Aristotle's Nichomachean Ethics. Overall not too easy, not too hard. If you're interested in philosophy then you won't mind much, but if not you'll get bored fast.
One of the better philosophy professors out there. makes philosophy easy to understand. easy grader. lectures are the best when the class gets involved. really nice guy. will help you with any questions you have.
Overall, a very nice guy. He is a fair grader, and gives plenty of opportunity to earn a better grade on papers. Lectures were sometimes boring, but otherwise they were fine. Good professor to take for this core class!
Extremely patient but never condescending. Readings are difficult but he does a good job at explaining them. Assignments are hard if you miss class and don't ask for clarification during lectures. Fair grader but won?t give you an easy A. Always willing to help. Overall a very nice guy who cares for his students. Definitely recommended.
VEry good teacher..has a heavy accent but it doesnt matter at all... one quiz at the end of every book (which is easy), two papers 2-3 pages each and is a very lenient grader. Recommended .ps.. he is a JUVENTUS fan which makes him even cooler...
I never really read and got away with a B- just take really good notes during class
Very nice guy, and tries to help a lot. but the class is very boring. can get A- easily but work harder and ask a lot of questions if you don't understand.
Bertozzi is amazing! He is extremely smart and does a great job breaking down very difficult texts in a way that makes them easier to grasp. He is way smarter than everyone in the class, but is never condescending. Pretty tough to get an A, not so tough to get an A-. I would take any class he is teaching. Highly recommend!
This guy is definitely knowledgeable with Metaphysics. I took this class to see if I was interested in PHIL. I definitely do not recommend this class if it's your first PHIL class, but Bertozzi is an amazing instructor. He's clear and succinct and willing to work with you if you have troubles understanding the topics.
took meaphysic with him last semester, he is amazing. readings are very hard and sometimes even boring, but then went to class and alberto made things not only clear but also exciting. assignments are hard but he is super helpful if you go to class. wish i can take another course with him but don?t see his name on the class list. high recommend!
He teaches very difficult readings and can be a little hard on grading papers, but he is simply a great teacher. All he does in class is explain the material and answer questions for those who don't understand. Incredibly knowledgeable but totally unassuming, and always willing to help. One of the best teachers I have had.
He is a great teacher! His lectures are easy to follow and he tries to teach everything in an easier and understandable way. He encourages students to ask questions. He does not have any quizzes and there are a few papers. Take him if you can!
Great, great, great professor. He explains the somewhat difficult readings very well and helps you genuinely learn and think critically about the material. Super nice, super helpful. Class consists of summaries, reflections over readings, and a final paper. It's s possible to receive a good grade if effort is put in and he's a very fair grader.
Bertozzi really knows his stuff, he is very good at explaining very abstract and difficult topics in his lectures. Going to all his lectures is a very good idea so you can get some parts clarified that you may not have understood in the reading. He is very approachable and does his best to make ethics an enjoyable lecture. I highly recommend him!
He's good take him
One of the best phil professors at Loyola. Explains the concepts incredibly well and asks you thought provoking questions. Lectures a lot but also promotes a lot of discussion. Also helps out to understand by translating from greek and latin. Well versed, knows what he is talking about. Fairly easy grader. TAKE TAKE TAKE!
Prof Bertozzi was great! He is a hard grader but gives extra credit to make up for it. Definitely learned a lot from him. Take him!
Professor Bertozzi is very knowledgable in his field. I enjoyed his lectures (and his accent). He assigns summaries on the readings (before they are discussed in class) and then grades them VERY hard. Although I did not do well on my summaries, I still managed an A- in the course. Reading is a must. Final paper at the end of the course.
Bertozzi is awesome. He is very intelligent and makes philosophy interesting. He doesn't give any tests, only a few short papers and a final paper. He is a pretty fair grader and the papers are very straightforward. I enjoyed taking his class and his accent is also very fun to listen to.
Bertozzi is basically the ultimate philosophy professor. He's one of the most knowledgable, engaging, witty, kind and passionate teachers I've ever had. But the way he makes philosophy interesting and engages the students in material is pretty much unmatched. He's not the hardest but you'll want to put in work for him!
He's super passionate and extremely friendly. The material is rather difficult but he's there for you when you have a problem with it. He can also go on some rather lengthy tangents that obscure the material even more if you are not staying up on it. There aren't many assignments, so it's up to the student to really make the effort with him.
5 writing assignments throughout the semester and a final paper; no tests or quizzes! Not too difficult if you put in the work on the assignments
Definitively is one of the best professors ever. He explains the topics with clarity. No quizzes, no many papers. Easy assignments. He is always available to answer your questions. Make sure your questions be logical. Also be one time. He is really cool. He makes philosophy essay.. specially those authors that seem incomprehensible.. lololololololo
Dr. Bertozzi, although at times can spend too much time on a topic, nonetheless does a good job in clarifying difficult concepts. He is always open to questions, comments, and objections. He is willing to help out after classes, and seems to be concerned in clarifying ideas.
Amazing Phil professor! Would take his class any time again! He gives a lot of readings, but explains them all in class. Only had 4 or 5 hw assignments all semester. Always open to listen to your opinions! highly recommend!
Bertozzi isn't a bad guy, but this class was not fun for me at all. His lectures are not really planned ahead of time, and involve a lot of back & forth with the 5 or so students who like to argue with him in class. There is a LOT of reading assigned (for a core class), & we talk mostly about philosophical theories. Pretty abstract, and IMO boring.
Bertozzi is able to take difficult philosophical material and turn it into something that everyone understands. Does that make it an easy class? Absolutely not, but if you are willing to set your ego aside and go into his office hours, then I can assure that you'll get a good grade. You can miss 5 classes before it hurts your grade.
He's a great professor. He makes understanding Philosophy possible, and I am not a fan of philosophy. I did none of the readings and pulled out an A-. I probably would have gotten an A if I would have participated. He expects you to give opinions and ask questions.. Not a lot of work outside the readings which he explains the next day in class.
Great professor! He truly cares about broadening students' minds and always asks for opinions in class. Has a great way of explaining confusing readings--I didn't read at all and still got an A. Italian accent is fun to listen to, although class gets a bit monotonous. Easy grader, few assignments. Highly recommend!
Bertozzi uses a bunch of different readings but does a good job covering them all. If you take good notes in class you can get away without reading. If you don't understand an argument, just ask him and he will simplify it for you.
Graded by participation, and like 4 or so essays throughout the whole semester. Exams are all take-home essays; NO FINAL. Questions aren't too hard, especially if you've been reading/paying attention to class discussions. Very likable guy, makes boring core class a bit more enjoyable.
Bertozzi is a really good professor that is really passionate and knowledgable about philosophy. You don't have to do all the readings, but the midterm will be easier if you do. there is a few short papers and a summary paper. The final is also a paper, so there are no actual exams. Show up, pay attention, and take notes and you will be fine.
IF YOU ARE TAKING FOR CORE DONT TAKE HIM!!! he grades so hard and expects students to spend 2-3 hours a NIGHT on readings and if you're like me and are not majoring in phil and want to have an easy core this is not the class.
Excepts 2-3 hours of reading for night. He is a good lecturer but he is a very hard grader. He knew my entire class was taking it for core and just took it way to serious. Do not take if you are looking for easy core. He expects you to be as interested as he is. HIGHLY REMEMBER NOT TAKING IF YOU ARE NOT A PHIL MAJOR.
Good teacher but lecture heavy, need togo to class. There are not that many assignments but he grades extremely hard and expects students to spend multiple hours on the reading assignments a night. He is good for someone who isn't looking for an easy, interesting, NOT BORING, core class.
This class is challenging for a first time college student. He does his best to make the material as easy to understand as possible. You have to put in lots of time and work in order to get a good grade in the class.
Very very nice and understanding guy. However, for an intro philosophy class, this was hard. The class is made up of 2 half page reflections, 1 text summary (that you're assigned), 1 midterm (ends up being 10 pages), and 1 final paper (5 pages). The midterm felt impossible and way harder than the final. You can miss up to 4 classes!
Philosophy will bore most people, and that's what this class was, however it was a very easy class. There are a couple assignments throughout the semester, but none of them are too hard. Take home exams and just a couple shorter papers. Would definitely take again.
Absolutely terrible professor. Grading scale is completely terrible. A 95% is the lowest A within the class. Througout the whole semester that means you can only miss 10 points. Even when you go into office hours and ask for help he is very condescending and doesnt give meaningful help. He is passionate about philosophy but for an intro classavoid
There is a lot of readings involved for this class, but he does do a good job at explaining the readings. He tries to be concise when lecturing, but sometimes he ends up talking about the same topic for the entire time period. His assignments are straightforward, he doesn't throw curve balls on papers or midterms.
Great guy, but he's a little hard to understand at times. Only get x amount of absences, so make sure you go to class. It's probably helpful to go to office hours, but as long as you're paying close attention in class and asking questions you should be okay.
I've never been interested in Phil, but Bertozzi actually made the class enjoyable. His lectures are clear and leaves no room for confusion. He's willing to answer questions and help students however he can. 2 short responses, 1 take home midterm, 1 take home final, 1 summary. Take thorough notes, it'll help you for the midterm and final.
Professor Bertozzi is a very kind professor and explains things very well. However, he expects too much of his students in terms of content on the paper and class participation, especially for an intro class. He admits that the readings are hard but still expects so much. Great person, but if you want an easy A, I do not recommend.
There are a lot of readings and it requires a lot of energy and effort if you're into philosophy that much. Bertozzi will do what he can to help you understand in class, office hours, and emails. Most of the grade comes from the midterm and final paper but he will help you write it if you ask a lot of questions.
The readings can be tough, and his grading scale is pretty brutal, so you cannot lose more than 10 out of 200 total in the class or you will not get an A, so take every assignment deathly seriously. He's not too hard of a grader, however, and if you draft your papers with him you are guaranteed better results! Also lectures are key!
He was a fine teacher, but he expects a lot for it being an intro class. He doesn't treat this class as a core requirement, but rather that everyone in the class is philosophy majors. It is reading heavy, if you don't read make sure to pay really good attention in class and take good notes you will be fine.
He only grades on participation and a few writing assignments. The assignments arent too hard, but attendance matters. You have reading every night and it is never more than 20 pages, usually it is around 10. He discusses these in detail the next day and makes them all very easy to understand! Philosophy is hard but he is great at explaining it.
Honestly, he may be the worst professor I have ever had. No discredit to his knowledge on the topics. He is very fast-paced, hard to understand, and grades assignments very rigorously. All in all, this is a course I would choose to take with another professor.
Take this class. This professor cares for his students and explains the philosophical books in detail. He does require attendance, but he allows some legroom for absences. The books were not too challenging and he was very helpful for the papers (3 papers).
does that make sense? no ipods :(
His lectures are more fun that the material you're supposed to read. He's always there for his students and wants to make sure everyone is having good grades. You just have to really read and work for your papers. Overall, he's a great professor and if he was teaching other classes I would choose him again.
if you can, take another professor. or just bare with it. he is a good lecturer-makes it interesting. the only thing is his assignments are a little too much for a 100-level course. nothing length-y. the requirements are a bit much.
Prof. Bertozzi is very caring. He doesn't allow technology in class which I think is good. His lectures are interesting. The assignments are very straight forward and fairly easy as long as you keep up with the readings/lectures. Overall outstanding guy and really cares for his students and gives you more than enough opportunities to succeed.
He is a really good Philosophy professor. He is very caring and will take out time to help his students understand the material. His lectures solely focus on the readings from the night before and helps us clearly understand the message in those readings. The readings are a bit excessive and not many writing assignments. Definitely recommend him!
Most difficult core class Ive ever taken. Professor Bertozzi is very smart and a kind person, but I would not recommend taking his class. He expects so much for a core class, and it is nearly impossible to get an A on an assignment.
He thinks everyone in the class loves philosophy and its their major, he thinks that you understand exactly what he is saying, he rambles a lot, somewhere in that, you are supposed to find a point. Don't have to read day to day, but you have to cite the text for the midterm and final papers. hard core class, if you can get someone else go with them
Please if you have the chance to take Alberto please do it! he's so kind and just a kind soul. I absolutely hate Philosophy and although the class is boring, I think the amount of work was perfect. 2 papers and 5 forums. He is an easy grader and I really enjoyed him.
Does not give good feedback to work. For midterm he locked students out of all the previous files he shared. I didn't enjoy class as he didn't really help us at all along the way. He was kinda mean too tbh - but I just recommend that any and all first years do not take this specific professor.
As someone who is more of a visual learner, I wish I didn't take this class. All he does is ramble and lectures for an hour. He thinks that we know what he is talking about and that we are as interested in philosophy as he is. He doesn't record zoom meetings, doesn't make slides, nothing- if you miss a class or don't understand you're on your own.
Professor Alberto is very well-spoken guy. He is able to provide answers and feedback to any question regardless of how much you know about philosophy. Definitely not the condescending guy the other reviews make him out to be. Do the readings because you must cite your answers in the assignments. Lectures aren't recorded so be sure to take notes.
As someone who wasn't looking forward to taking PHIL, Bertozzi was an amazing caring professor. 4 forums, drops the lowest one, midterm and final paper. Chance for extra credit on midterm. Lectures everyday but very interesting if you take the time to listen and take notes. He's a very sweet caring professor who wants you to succeed. TAKE HIM!!!
1 Short preliminary assessment paper, 4 Forums, one Final Paper and a Midterm Exam which was a take-home assignments that was open notes. Great guy, very interesting lectures, he drops one of the Forums at the end of semester. Easy class, thoroughly enjoyed the lectures.
The Loyola Mission was my first philosophy course at LUC. While it was lecture heavy he went out of his way on every occasion if you needed more clarification & provided feedback multiple times on my essays (no exams!) I felt that I learned some solid, tough philosophical concepts. He was very accessible, & very understanding. Perfect COVID prof.
Okay professor, I took his class online so I think his class would've been better in person. Lots of reading and material to understand, you have to do four forum posts and a take-home exam but besides the final paper, that's about it.
Professor Bertozzi is a truly inspired teacher and remarkably kind character. He is a brilliant mind but presents himself very humbly, addressing students with respect and care. He is exceedingly generous in providing time during class, office hours, and via email to respond to questions and offer feedback. He is engaging, passionate, and precise.
His lecture style isn't for everyone, he talks with no power points or anything, and he has a very strict no technology rule. Overall, though I don't prefer this lecture style, he makes philosophy super easy to understand, and is really helpful. No presentations or projects, just a couple of short papers throughout, a midterm and final paper.
Honestly Dr.Bertozzi is a decent professor, he does assign a lot of reading and has lectures with no slides provided. His grading is based off 3 Question reflections, 1 take home midterm paper, and 1 final paper. He's super helpful is also very accessible outside of class so don't be afraid to email him about any questions or help on your papers.
This class was a struggle to stay awake for, especially in the morning. It gets boring really fast since every class consists of him lecturing the entire time without any visuals or anything aside from occasionally writing on the board. Make sure you do the readings since a portion of your grade is based on participation so make sure to contribute.
There is a lot of reading but you can get away with not doing most of it if you pay attention in class. Super interesting lectures.
Professor Bertozzi is clearly passionate about what he teaches, and tries his best to make even the most boring of topics at least a little engaging. The assignments are not hard but do require close reading of the texts. A downside is the mandatory attendance which can impact your grade, though when sick accommodations can be made which is great.
Very lecture heavy but they were super interesting. Attendance is mandatory but he gives you leeway if you email him beforehand. Very knowledgeable and passionate about philosophy. He genuinely cares for his students and tries very hard to make sure you understand the readings. Highly recommend.
This was one of my favorite classes I've taken at this university. He was very passionate about philosophy, and it made it very easy to connect to the topics being presented. If you are taking the class early in the morning, though, consider getting a coffee or something as his lectures don't have visual aids and might be hard to focus on if tired.
I HATED Mission as a class, but Prof. Bertozzi made it bearable. He's very charismatic and funny, and he loves to hear students' opinions. It's a little difficult to figure out what he wants out of Q-R papers (I never knew anyone who got 15/15), but you can definitely participate enough to bring yourself up a half-letter grade if you try!
Bertozzi cares about student success, but the course material is seriously boring. Most of the readings are hard to follow and his lectures often fail to cover everything. He isn't a hard grader but there aren't many points available so if you do poorly on one assignment it's hard to improve your grade. You could do worse but easier profs exist.
Class was fine, hard to fail as long as you pay attention and engage with him. 3 papers, take-home midterm, final paper. If he senses that no one is doing the reading he will give a pop quiz. His feedback is hard to understand but he'll explain if you ask. Class can be pretty boring and he doesn't post lectures. Overall not bad, but not great.
Bertozzi is an alright prof. He gives daily readings, 3 question-reflec, a midterm exam, and a final paper. He expects you to spend like 3 hours on his class alone and expects so much from an intro class. However, he is very understanding and will be more lenient towards the beginning of semester. But overall very boring lectures but important.
For a core class this class was very difficult. theres 3 question reflection with a min grade of 10/15 but a max of 13/15. He says that its really hard to get a 14 or a 15 bc the paper has to be perfect. I went to his OH and asked what i would get without any corrections and he said 13/15 but even after corrections i got 13/15.
Prof. Bertozzi is a great professor, especially for his PHIL 130 class. You are graded on 3 Question-Reflections with a minimum grade of 10/15, a midterm, and a final. It is hard to get 15/15, but he makes grading clear. The midterm and final papers are given clear instructions over a week before. He gives great lectures and is interesting to hear.
Each class, you go over the reading from the previous night which is boring but useful to get an understanding. He assigns a lot of reading but you only really need to look over the reading you're using for 3 reading reflections and 2 tests. There are 5 grades so you need to do well on them but I found them pretty easy without too much effort.
Professor Bertozzi is a charismatic individual who is passionate about what he does. While I wasn't interested in philosophy and found it difficult, he actually made it interesting during certain times. 3 Question-Reflections (Agree if you want a good grade), 1 final paper, and participation is necessary. No tech allowed though which is a minus.
Dr. Bertozzi is a really nice & hilarious. He is open to answering questions and is useful in his OH. However, i think his method is bit old fashion. He lectures throughout the whole class, which can be boring. He assigns reading every night, which is not bad, assignments need to be printed out. He is a tough grader and a bit tedious too.
Attendance IS mandatory and he will not excuse absences. But, his class was enjoyable and not a crazy workload. Hate philosophy tbh but he made it a lot more understandable. Def would take
Goated professor. Just make sure to read for the first month of class and then after that you can slack off. Only 3 assignments + midterm and final paper. guaranteed A if you go to office hours or email him your paper.
Dr. Bertozzi's class wasn't too bad. I would say the attendance policy and his class format can be a little tedious since it is strictly a paper materials only class. His grading criteria can also be a little harsh since he doesn't give anything higher than an A-. That being said, the class was not too rough and he is generally a nice professor.
I'm a senior and I think he's my favorite prof at Loyola. If you're at all interested in Philosophy, please take a class with this man. He's highly knowledgeable and articulate. He cares a LOT about the subject. The material is meaningful and profound. Very unbiased. He's not there to collect a paycheck, he's there to make an impact on you.
You only get 4 absences. He talks the whole lecture, and doesn't give A's on the papers. You get three paper reflections, one take home midterm, and a take home final. this is not an easy A, I spent more time reading for this class than I did studying for physics. If you do poorly on the midterm, there's little room for succeeding.
Bertozzi got me hooked on philosophy. His class was my absolute favorite. Super interesting lectures -- totally worth it to pay close attention and take good notes. Great stuff, great professor.
Unfortunately this class just did not make sense to me. There was a lot of lecturing and very little discussion. Although P.Bertozzi would open up the discussion floor, the same two people would talk and nothing seemed to make sense. He communicated that students should be studying for two hours for each class, which is incredibly unrealistic.
He is an incredible professor for people who are interested in philosophy, but if you are just trying to fulfill a philosophy credit, I do NOT recommend Professor Bertozzi. I took his PHIL130 class, and his lectures and assignments are that of a much higher-level class. I would highly recommend him if you're very into philosophy, but not otherwise.
Prof Bertozzi really knows what he's talking about and is passionate about it. We makes sure students understand the readings and information to the fullest extent. It's lecture heavy but they're incredibly helpful and you come out of class with great notes. He is a tough grader but is available outside of class to always help. He's really caring.
professor bertozzi is such a great guy. there's a bunch of reading, but every lecture is just him explaining what the reading was saying. the only things you're graded on is three papers, a final paper, and a midterm. there's also participation, but turning in assignments counts for that. definitely recommend him for this 100 level class
I enjoyed Prof. Bertozzi's class. He is very knowledgeable about his subjects and understands that it is a 100-level class, so he doesn't expect crazy work. There is a fair bit of reading, but his lectures are great and he makes the content very digestible. Your grade is based on a few essay assignments and class participation. Definitely take him!
This course is very lecture and reading heavy which is to be expected for an ethics class. Overall, the class was manageable and all you need to do is show up. There are 3 papers that your grade consists of and attendance is mandatory. The papers are pretty simple and easy if you understand the material.
I am very surprised by the good reviews. I dreaded this class every day. SO much reading, and you will fail all the papers and the final if you don't read it. He is a very tough grader and impossible to please. No laptops or computers, and he has no presentation, just talks.
Hard readings but covers them in class. Tough grader but gives good feedback. Open to questions, helps with assignments. Interesting lectures especially if class gets involved. Grades on participation, 4 short reflection papers (2 pgs each), mid-term and final, all takehome. Not an easy class but if you want to learn about philosophy take him.
Professor Bertozzi is kind of the goat, hes super funny and kind if you respect him and the subject. There is a good amount of reading and writing but its definitely worth it.
Great professor, makes an effort to clarify and explain concepts as much as needed in lectures and OH. There is a participation component so ask questions in class or after. No technology in class but the way he teaches is engaging. He explains the readings in class so take good notes. He also offers to read over writing assignment drafts.
Alberto is a very good professor especially if you've never taken Philosophy before. He's very helpful if you don't understand a concept or need help on an essay. All the assignments in class were essays, no tests or exams. I highly recommend him for an easy and interesting Philosophy class.
Im honestly shocked at how good his reviews are. I think this class was totally unreasonable for being a tier 1 class. He is a VERY tough grader on the papers we had, we were expected to read 20 pages or more before every class and participation really mattered. If you can choose a different prof do it... i wanted to cry everyday before class.
Not a bad professor. Tough grading system but if you pay attention to the lectures and take very good notes you will do very well in this class. He doesn't have pop quiz unless he notices people not doing the reading, so read. I got B because the class bc it was very lecture heavy and I ended up drifting off in class. Final and midterm are essays.
HEAVY lecture and reading. Which is to be expected for philosophy class. He is very passionate about his class. He does not allow phones or computers to take notes in class.
Lectures were engaging and I learned a lot. Go to his office hours to discuss your papers, it will improve your grade because you can talk thru the arguments with him and get feedback. Tough grader and only gives extensions with penalties, but is fair and cares about helping students understand. Very wise. Ask questions in class!!
This class is purely lectures. No exams or quizzes just papers. The papers give you freedom to choose what you write about so they are only as hard as you make them. He is super ANTI technology never uses sakai. He is a smart guy and explains phil in a way thats easy to follow and not boring. Attendance matters a lot, you can't skip class tbh
This guy is impossible to please. There isn't any extra credit which is crazy to me. I try so hard everyday and I never seen 1 100% for any assignment. I rarely hear anything good about this class from my classmates. All A's but this class! If you like your gpa find a new professor because I could've got a 4.0 but I made this horrible mistake!
He is a wise professor to have & knows his stuff about philosophy. It's impressive how he teaches without any technology furthermore. Participation and attendance are a must to get a great grade on papers and all. Make sure to ask questions & make objections in class as that's what makes class interesting. It'll be boring without it!
Really smart guy; Is obviously very comfortable with his subject & is capable of explaining these otherwise incredibly convoluted topics really well. Incredible professor BUT there are some caveats: 1) really tough grader & 2) very anti-technology: strict no-tech policy in-class + never uploads on sakai. Otherwise, would definitely recommend.
Just show up and put decent effort into the papers and you will succeed. Really nice guy. Only graded on like 4 papers but its very very managable. I would take again.
Good professor. Sometimes difficult to follow as he is just talking. However, he is a good prof and does explain things well. Difficult to get 100% but I didn't mind. I did find it a challenging class in some aspects to better my work and not slack off. He was very nice and attempted to get students involved. I recommend
Bertozzi is a really kind man who tries to make lectures interesting. There is a lot of reading but it's not expected that you understand it perfectly at all. There is a participation grade but talking one on one after class or during office hours also counts. He is a bit of a tough grader but as long as you put in a bit of effort you'll be good.
Super nice guy who I'd regularly talk with outside of class usually not related to in class material. Very lecture heavy but you can tell he's a very smart guy and doesn't expect you to fully understand the text. Does his best to get students involved during lectures and only had 5 relatively easy papers to write.
