Pretty fun teacher but sometimes dosn't really know how to explain something.Alot of the time he will give you examples that make you more confused than before. Otherwise he does make the class interesting.

Not an easy class! I did very well in it, however, this was due to me reading the book. He seems to have much trouble explaining almost every aspect of chemistry. His construction of examples further confuses you. He is open to questions though, but his answers don't usually help you. I heard Haky is as bad if not worse.

You really need to read the book very thoroughly and pay attention in class. He gets confused when you ask him questions in class, which is not very helpful. His tests are multiple choice plus essay questions. The essay questions count as extra credit though, which is very helpful.

No respect toward students. Very strong Spanish accent, difficult to understand. Can be helpful but if you do not do well in his test the first time, will not bother with you. Will teach something and then test you on something very different. Read the book and don't attend class; it's better. Don’t make him your first choice as an instructor.

Good sense of humor and knows his material, but finds it difficult to explain to class. But he is very willing to help out those who need it. I didn't like the BONDing sessions (thought they were a waste of time and unnecessary work) especially when you consider having to take the lecture and the lab at the same time.

Avoid this professor like the plague! He is by far one of the worst I have ever had. Does nothing in class but read his slides, does not explain anything, and the tests aren't over what he lectures on. When approached about the tests difficulty, he blames it on the 'American School System.' Class average was in the 50's each test.

Prof Haces is a very fair Prof. Biochemistry is obviously a hard course and do not except to get a good grade if you do not put in the effort. There are three multiple choice exams worth 20% and a final that is 40% of the grade. DO NOT listen to all the negative people. The amount of effort you put in will be the grade you will get.
