Professor Juarez, is an excellent teacher. You can tell he loves what he does-teach!

His lectures are about whats going on today in the world of politics, hardly on the book. Hardly read the book and passed the class with a good grade by doing all the extra credits.

great teacher. interesting and very nice. talks about REAL stuff. tests can be a bit hard at times. LOTS OF EXTRA CREDIT. not difficult to get a good grade.

He's knows what he's talking about. Tends to speak more about what is going on than what is in the book. Funny and witty. I would recommend him, if you are not taking a lot of class that reguires too much reseach.

Great Professor, You will get a lot out of this class if you put yourself in the position to learn. I highly recommend Mr Juarez...probably one of the best professors I have encountered.

very easygoing and flexible. if you show up to class, turn in assignments, and extra credit, you should do very well in class. doesn't follow the books but more on current events

His class was set up as a political model. Success was based largely upon the students level of political participation, an important part of a democracy. Read the book, but MORE importantly speak your mind in class and keep up on current events!

prof. Juarez is a wonderful teach. He focuses mainly on current events. He rarely lectured directly from the book. He relates political aspects to todays occurrences and how they affect you. GREAT PROF.! Do your work, extra credit, and give your political opinion. Do all three and you'll do great

Freaking awesome teacher! He really cares for all his students and shares alot with them. Can't fail anyone cause he doesn't want to. But he really gets you thinking. His class will change you.

one word: AWEsome! i took this class on a saturday...sketchy at first of course but it ended up to be a lot of FUN! he tends to have open discussions ALOT and likes to know everyones view on things. advice: keep up with the work (which is NOT alot at all) and share your thoughts with him! You'll do fine! =)

He's flexible.

i took him for poli sci and i loved it cuz he was pretty easy, had interesting discussions and showd a lot of movies i got an easy B in the classs.

Very interesting professor learned alot frm his class, never got bored in class. Just a midterm n final.Gives lots of extra credit.

Best teacher ever!!

I don't really like his class that much. He doesn't teach much, when he does, he just gives out this little speeches. He shows video in every single class meeting. And i'm not saying fun videos. LONG+BORING, 2-3 hours of political videos. He gives out a lot of assignments too. The only good thing about his class is that we get to have group tests.

Good teacher, he really likes to get the class involved he lectures alot but it's not boring at all. Not a hard grader, just go to class and you will be fine.

Finally I jump out of the political science class. Attendence! Attendence! Attendence! You will be OK! At last turn in your all papers.

His class is extremely interesting. If you want to learn, this is the class for you. If you want to pass this is still the class for you because he has said he refuses to give F's, and will help you every inch of the way. Meet your congressman for extra credit.

This is a great class that is not to hard as long as you read the book, do the assignments and you will get a good grade. Class lectures are very interesting. Prof Juarez is a great teacher with a passion for government. He treats everyone fairly. Don't be afraid to participate in the class discussions that is how you learn,I Recommend this class.

I will say that since I graduated high school, this was by far the best class I have taken. His class lectures were very relative to the current events happening around us. He does not require much work, just that you read the texts and do some extra credit and it'll be hard for you to NOT get an "A". Do yourself a favor and take this class.

he is really good. i messed up the mid-term but i did a lot of extra credits. I surprise when i get the grade cuz i thought im gonna fail this class. However, he gave me really really good grade.

Professor Juarez, is a nice teacher who puts a lot of effort helping students to accomplish a good grade. Yes, he does give many lectures but it helps students to communicate and share effectively about the Politics were dealing with. Many videos to watch which you thought never existed. Very intelligent and passionate about politics; he's a wealth of knowledge! If you're used to being spoon fed answers like the the two students who gave bad comments below, don't take him. If you read the book(s), listen to the lectures, and actually study (like some students do), then you will get an A!

I don't think some comments posted are really fair. Mr. Juarez is VERY reasonable with his students. I HATE politics & he made this class very interesting for me. Show up to class & do your work & you'll get a good grade. And the whole hispanic or female remark....where did that come from?!?! I am a young hispanic woman & got no special treatment.

Mr.Juarez is awesome! He loves what he teaches and that really come through. He is also very helpful and I learned a lot. That is in my top 2 classes that Ive taken at PCC and after the class I decided to become a Poli Sci major. Great man

Great teach! Funny and engaging. Juarez really cares about what he does and it translates. He's a Vet and a critical thinker.He constantly makes his students personally connect to the subject. As for grades: READ! Tests are easy and he gives lots of extra credit! Overall a chill experience with Mr. Juarez. Look forward to being in his class again!

The class is not easy A but he'll give you plenty of extra credit opportunities. you may get confuse about what's coming on the test but did you remember to read the book as he said? take him.

he is a great teacher and really cares about his job and takes it very seriously but it is up to you to keep up and read along because your going to be lost during his lectures and he will pick on you if he notices or if you don't participate. He is awesome and really cares about what is going on in the world and he expects the same from you.

Professor Juarez has so many stories and experiences that his students should not overlook. He has a lot of experience in his field and knows a lot of people in City Hall, where he worked for years before becoming a teacher. Juarez values Education and tries to push students to not give up on their studies. Take him, you won't regret it.

An old soul with a lot of passion and many stories to tell. To get an A, just take the online quizzes, they're not hard at all since you will have two chances to take them. Memorably notable teacher who makes an effort to engage everyone. He even took our class photo for memories keeps! Highly recommended

By far the greatest professor I have taken while at PCC. I could write a book on how great this man is. He cares for his students & encourages them to make a difference in the world. He's the perfect example of how all educators should be. This isnt just a job or a way to make money for him. He put polisci in a whole new light for me, TAKE HIM

This guy is a great teacher! very inspiring and really gets you involved politically. he knows a lot about what he's talking about and really gets the class to participate with each other. Easy quizzes and all u have to do is read an easy chapter a week and do an easy quiz. the final project was fun!

Professor Juarez is one of those rare teachers who want to teach - and care that you learn. I dreaded Poli Sci, Gov, History, and everything like that in grade school. He sparked my interest and I enjoyed learning in this class. It didn't hurt that Clinton/Trump elections took place during this class, and there was no shortage of great dialogue!

I entered the class hating Political Science and left the class loving it. Prof Juarez made me love the class. His lectures are great but sometimes it can get boring. In general he is not a tough grader. I took a 7 am class and enjoyed it . He can be unorganized sometimes but definitely worth to try.

Professor Juarez is a caring, respectful and gives feedback. His lectures are extensive but informative. He has many years experience and loves teaching. Be ready to participate and do team work.

Hes one of the BEST professors at pcc. Very knowledage, actually worked in office. Hes the reason I went to D.C. Hes passionate about what he teaches. No quizzes or tests. The midterm was a one or two page report. The final 5000-1000 word essay on how you can make a difference in your community. Hes sassy and reads his ratings on here��.

He gives amazing lectures

Professor Juarez is so knowledgeable. He truly cares about his students. He doesn't give a lot of homework and his lectures are interesting.

He is pretty chill. But his lecture is boring. There will be lots of discussions at least once a week on canvas but it's easy. Midterms and finals are easy, we just did an essay. He is a pretty easy grader too not that tough on it. And emails you back quickly too.

Easy A. Only a couple of quizzes, most of the assignments were class discussions and he gave extra points if you responded to more than 2 people. Midterm and final were easy 1000 word essays. He kind of disappeared after our midterm tho and stopped assigning anything for a while. If you're doing GE's take him.
