Reveles was overall an alright teacher. Most of the learning I did was over YouTube even though I showed up to every class in the front row. The class was mainly just for practice problems. So so teacher but she gives easy multiple choice exams so it all evens out.

Alegbra is a nice professor. Her exams aren't really hard. Her practice exams are all you need to ace her tests. She does a few mistakes during lecture but will fix them. Most people that compain about the class just sit there talking to friends etc. She gives way too much extra credit. Haven taken AP Chemistry, I didn't even have to attend lecture

Her classes were more like reviews of the chapter rather than being taught. I had to learn a lot by myself. That is the only thing i didn't like however this professor is very helpful and approachable. She offers extra credit and quizzes that replaces one of the exams. She really wants you to pass the class as long as you put in the effort.

Teacher cares about her students understanding the material and passing, doesn't make things difficult. Lectures are a bit fast-paced if you don't prepare, if you took chem before it will be a breeze. Do all her practice prep, hw is 5% ec for 24hrs early. 4 exams, each subsequent worth more than the last (final). Use the TAs, or OR, MSI is ok.

CHEM1B was not organized this quarter. Tests were entirely FRQ, no mc, grading breakdown was decided at end of quarter (ie students didn't know until week 8 how things were going to be graded). quiz20%, exam115%, exam220%, final25%, hw20%. Doesn't upload lectures, you mostly learn the material on your own or in discussion. KNOW CONCEPTS!

She genuinely cares about her work and wants us to do well but the lectures were very boring and felt like a waste of time where we'd only work on one practice problem.

Her lectures weren't that helpful; the focus was ALEKS. Tests/Quizzes make up 80% of your grade, so STUDY for those. She cares about general student success but spoke condescendingly to us sometimes. She does offer many office hours and outside help, so as long as you are proactive, you will be fine. Make sure to do the practice exams; SO helpful!!

Terrible professor. Her lectures taught next to nothing, and her tone was often incredibly condescending. Personally, I like my professors to speak to their students as the adults we are, not as toddlers. Her "final review" lecture consisted of her telling us that it's fine to fail her class. Don't take this class, but if you do, talk to the TAs!

Super condescending in class and talks to her students like toddlers. Tests make up a huge percentage of the grade. Lectures are basically useless so make sure to do aleks and study all of the practice tests available. She expects the class to be happy to just pass the tests even though you need at least an 87 average on all of them to get an A.

There was no point going to lectures. I skipped almost all of them and it turned out completely fine. Her lectures were slow and provided weak examples of what to study for. If you want to do well in this class, focus on ALEKS and talk to your TA. Tests are important and the 2 midterms + final take up most of your grade. Study well.

She pretends to care for her students, but many can see behind her false happy tone and fake smile. I was not allowed a make-up exam, and my final grade depended on my final. However, when I came up short Alegra showed no remorse and actually went out of her way to take down to me in a private setting.

Honestly, workload wise, her class was not hard at all. The only assignments were 1-2 ALEKS objectives per week, and not really anything else. However, the TESTS are what get you. She has a tendency to throw in questions that she either never went over, or barely covered. Not to mention that she's a horrible teacher. Be prepared to self teach a lot

Lectures aren't that helpful, she goes over Aleks problems, but do attend them if you struggle with that. She'll help you if you ask, but get ready to learn a lot on your own. Do the ALEKS without outside help or AI and you'll do great on the exams. Exams just cover what Aleks covered, so make sure you know how to do every single problem by heart.

The teacher is okay. Her teaching style has a weird pace, so either we sit around doing nothing, or we scramble to finish the lecture in the last 5 minutes of class. Sometimes she gets upset at us when we don't know the answers. But she is easy to understand and gives good advice.

A lot of the class is completing ALEKs. There were 2 midterms which ALEKs/lecture prepares you for for the most part. The final was more difficult but not unreasonable. They post a practice exam with answers before each test which is very similar to the real thing. Not a fan of iClicker, but it helps them get a feel for the class's understanding.

She can be a little fast and come off unintentionally condescending, but she means well. Her class is structured around Aleks homework software and iClicker for attendance. If you have the i-clicker app, you can use it in your dorm (helps when attendance is mandatory). Alegra is a good professor and explains concepts very easily, however, her teaching is split with another professor for half of the quarter. Use LSS tutoring when you need to and make sure to do your ALEKS, it helps more than any of the lectures.
