I've had him for Phil 101, Phil 103. He is the coolest and hip teacher. He knows "ghetto terms." It's funny when he acts this way because it makes class fun and entertaining. Also, he knows how to make things clear and very helpful. He's cool.

Ok teacher. Too into conspiracy theories. For the final paper you can basically just resubmit your old argumentative research paper from Eng 115 (a lot of people did that and got A's). Takes things personally, but doesn't let you know it in obvious ways, so don't insult him (although he says to feel free to "bash" him).

Cool teacher. Really gets you interested in conspiracies. Material from his book makes it easier to understand and when it comes to the test its easy. Love the class because now I could argue with friends and they dont know how to respond. Great class, highly recommended.

A paper is due at the beggining of semester, but it;s easy, just guide yourself with the book. He's soo funny and tells jokes in the morning. He always has his Starbuck's Coffee :D

altho i had to drop (two hour breaks are killers) His lectures are Uncanny, especially this intro lecture. Easy to watch/listen. Easy to speak up to. Altho expects equivilant quality essays to 116 (but it makes sense).

Mr. Orozco's one hell of a teacher! I definately recommend him to anyone. There's a little reading to do but his tests and quizzes are easy. His lectures are easy to understand and he covers the material really good. He offers a lot of extra credit assignments also.

omg, hes like the best teacher ever!!!!! i love him!!!eventhough i had no interest in taking this class, as soon as i took it it changed my prospective. his class is sooo easy. you have like 2 quizzes and two test and like 2 or 3 essays, but everything is so easy and you actually enjoy the work. he grades easy too. hes the best!!!

yeah his cool and funny and all that stuff, but if you dont write in a way that he likes it he takes alot of points off even in the quizes and tests you have to write out the exact anwers that he gives.It seems easy but its not, I got a "D" and did all the work, the essays, homework, & group projects.

Orozco is great to take for PHI 101. His tests are based a lot off the text but he provides study guides. He gives some HW but it's easy and only helps you understand the material more. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT - it will bump you up like 10-15%. Definitely take his class - but sign up early because they fill up quick.

He rules. He's so funny that he basically is the "Conan O'Brian" or the "Jim Carrey" of Philosophy, hahaha. I don't even know why he didn't become a comedian. I barely read the textbook, but just by going to his lectures, I didn't study much at all for tests. Heck, I just read my notes 20 minutes before the test and I always got an A. He PWNZ!!!

I seriously thought I was in a comedy club half of time in class. Orozco does not only have a great sense of humor but is a great teacher at the same time. He makes the subject of Philosophy interesting by applying it to every day life experiences and situations. You'll become so engaged, you'll actually want to study for quizzes and exams. Word.

Orozco is not only an extraordinary professor but a truly good person who you can learn a lot from. His classes are all very interesting. Coming from someone who was not interested in philosophy, Orozco made class enjoyable. The work in this class is very user friendly. It is not meant for you to struggle, but for you to LEARN what you study.

Orozco genuinely cares about his students. His class is very "user friendly" as he describes. The syllabus has all the topics for each quiz and the final, as well as the essay questions. He's letting us use notes this semester too. There's 10 assignments, 3 quizzes, and a final. Overall, a great class. I look forward to it every day.

So basically he is a good teacher if he likes you. If not he will probably try to embarrass you in front of class, even if it wasn't his intention. Good teacher knows a lot, but he seems cool, nice and not strict about grades. bUT when it comes to grading he is really hard don't get lazy just because he is a funny teacher. Got a B a lot of e.credit

May not learn as much as a more serious philosophy class but you will remember every word he says because the class is fun and lively. this guy was funny and kept it interesting. which is hard when its a logic & critical thinking class. assignments easy, quizes/exams mc and short answer. really teaches you how to break apart an argument. good class, GREAT professor, take him at night and he's extra funny because he feels free to speak w/ "adult" words :) TAKE HIM

He is a really cool guy and gives great, funny lectures that keep your attention. Understands how to speak to the younger generation, uses some slang, and swear words to keep people interested in what he's saying. He breaks down complex ideas to make them easily understandable. His tests are easy and he gives plenty of EC to help student's grades.

If you need philosophy, take it with him! He is hilarious! The class is super easy. Do all the homework to get easy points. Study for tests, although they are pretty simple. Fun lectures. Do the extra credit! Easy points. I missed an exam and I still got an A in the class. Loved it.

Prof. Orozco is sooo funny, so his lectures are very entertaining. If you don't like hearing F-bombs this isnt the class for you haha. All the questions on the exam are questions you answered for the homework. A really fun and interesting class (:

Best teacher ever wish all of mine were like him. Lectures are on point everyday adds his own style to his teaching which he calls his Orozco Philosophy which makes everything clear. Can't fall behind in his class he gives all his assisgnments, tests and due dates in his syllabus and all the answers are in the book. No excuse not to get an A.

Awesome teacher, the textbook is required. The teacher wrote the textbook himself and the lecture is based on that book mostly. Clear instructions, very easy to pass if you pay attention and turn in assignments when they are due. be ready to do a few 2 page reports here and there. nothing hard, mostly writing about stuff in the news.

Prof Orozco is cool and means well, may sometimes be blunt but don't worry abut it. He cares about his students. Grades: Easy A on HW Extra credit Tests are simple, its multiple choice and at the very end is 3 ESSAY QUESTIONS. He gives you the essay questions in the syllabus, and it is your fault if you cannot write 10 sentences per question.

He is very straightforward with what you need to learn, what will be on the test, and what/when the assignments are due. He also isn't too strict when it comes to lates and attendance if you have a good grade and usually show up to class.

Love prof Orozco! Super fun, keeps it real and really wants you to pass. Extra credit opportunities. I had a D two weeks before the final, did extra credit and studied for the final and ended the semester with a B in the class. This guy rocks!

Orozco is an amazing professor. His lectures will command your attention, but more importantly, he teaches you how to think thoroughly and critically. He also brings up difficult/sensitive subject matter to discuss, which can be hard, but necessary to constructive thought. He is excellent, you won't regret the experience. Tests are a little tough.

Mr. Orozco is one of my favorite teachers at southwestern. His lectures are so interesting, he says a lot of bad words during lectures but hey, were all adults. You basically get 3 quizzes with 30 questions and 3 essay prompts on each quiz, but hes not grading your essay for spelling/structure, just that you answer the prompt questions.

One of the greatest professor's I have had. He keeps lectures fun and never dull. 3 quizzes which are very easy if you take notes and read the book. Must be organized and keep all homework because he will collect it at the end of the semester to grade. Actually makes you interested in philosophy and leaving class knowing something new.

Such a good professor!!! In the beginning he is amazing and thorough, by the end you could tell he was worn down. Obviously most students didn't have an issue with this as they were worn down as well but I was ready to learn still lol. Overall amazing! Do your homework and pay attention in class and you'll pass.

Amazing professor

Orozco is a very good professor to have for Philosophy. Your grade is based on 3 exams 12 homeworks and 2 small projects. The class goes by fast and his lectures usually has a funny story he tells like the one about his friend Shrek. I highly recommend Orozco for philosophy and if you speak spanish it is a plus.

Orozco is a very good professor for Ethics. your grade is based on 12 homeworks 2 test and a project. The lectures are really good and makes them really clear plus he sometimes adds a funny story in it. If you do all the homework and study you will be fine and the homework is very straight forward. Professor Orozco is great, he makes his lectures funny& interesting. The only problem is that if you are a philosophy major he is not the right professor. The book is kind of hard to understand so you really need him to explain it with details in order to get the philosophers argument & with him you can get that because he waste a lot of time.

He makes every class interesting and very understanding professor in case you have any emergencies or couldnt attend class for any reason.

Honestly if it weren't for him being so patient and passionate about the subject, I would've dropped the class because philosophy itself is just not my thing but he made it bearable, interesting even. He's funny and a great teacher!

lectures are very interesting, you'd never find yourself so interested in Philosophy without this professor. do the homework assigned and you'll pass the tests, but you do need to buy/rent the book. the final only covers the last unit so you dont have to worry about everything you might forget. must take with Orozco for the GE requirement!!

Orozco is a gem at SWC! His lectures are interactive, informative, and at times hilarious. Our entire class was motivated by Orozcos passion and personable approach with his students. Transferring to SDSU after 2 years at SWC; this class felt like the real college experience! Ill miss you Orozco! Youll be lucky to take his class!

Granted it's been said he doesn't go deep into the material you've gotta realize you're at a community college receiving introductory classes. Dude is great and loves his job, you can totally tell. He's a little scattered, but chill nevertheless. One of the most insightful and well educated people I know.

Professor Orozco is super hilarious. Throughout this semester, his class was the only one that I was mostly looking forward to attending. He should have been a stand-up comedian. His lectures are super funny and entertaining. Apart from that, you learn so much. The class has 3 quizzes. The 3rd is the final. Homework for every lecture. Take it!

Oh man Mr. Orozco is an awesome teacher makes his class enjoyable is passionate about what hes teaching and puts it in a way that relates to our generation. He is cool but you have to do his assignments and read so when the test comes you will get a good grade. If you take him you wont regret it he is AWESOME!!!!!

This prof is awesome at teaching philosophy. Its not my choice in subject personally, but I retained so much information because of his style of teaching. He is extremely entertaining and uses interesting stories to teach. Dont hesitate to take his class!

Hes hilarious, never a dull class. 3 quizzes, 13 hws and 2 easy projects, as long as you do your work and study you will recieve an easy A. His tests are solely based on lectures and homework assignments so make sure you do them. he will make sure you understand the criteria. he is laid back , just pay attention! Take him, the semester will fly by!

You can tell professor Orozco really enjoys his job. I had a 7:30am class and he always came in awake and ready to go. One of the best professors at this school. Please take his philosophy class you will not regret it!

Professor Orozco is definitely one of the BEST Philosophy professors ever. You can tell he really loves what he does and honestly understands his students. He won't make you sit for the whole class time to just listen to his lecture and will let you out early sometimes. As long as you do the homework, you should be fine. I highly recommend Orozco!

He's my favorite philosophy professor!! I've taken 2 other philosophy classes and his was the most memorable for me. Too bad we had to switch online; it's not his strong suit. You'll get more out of his classes in person, but he's still an easy A. There's homework, 2 midterms I believe, and then a final project

I found his lectures interesting and he gives pretty good feedback! There was only a couple Discussion boards and quizzes but everything could be found in the textbooks and/or the given lectures. Rewording what you read will only get you so far in discussions, so don't be afraid to give your take on things!

Professor Alejandro was hands down one of the best professors Ive ever had!! Although he can be a bit all over the place from time to time the criteria is very easy to follow. Great lectures in my opinion he does talk a lot but they are very intriguing and insightful. Highly recommend taking any of his classes if given the chance!!

Prof. O is pretty cool. I took him during summer 23 and the class can get hard if you do not read the books or fall behind. However, If you do read and stay in line with the class it will be very easy. There is A LOT of extra credit that can change your grade from 1 letter to another so make sure to do all of the extra credit.

I took this class in 9th grade and I really enjoyed it. It was a 2 month course that consisted of a TON of reading and multiple lectures that you have to watch but he helped lighten the load by giving you the exact questions for the test ahead of time. I also liked that he was accessible outside of class and willing to help.

I took his class online and I recommend it, i would loved to took it in person he is really funny, teaches with patient and it shows that he actually enjoys it. He is one of the best professor's i had ,he does the lectures very understandable, doesn't leave homework only need to do notes for the quizzes. Only a few readings and not long.

Professor Orozco's PHIL101 class is manageable and straightforward. He provides great analogies to understand confusing philosophers, and the quizzes are simple since he gives the questions and answers. I found Unstuckstudy AI and the provided lectures very helpful for studying.

El Profe does a great job with breaking down a daunting and dry class into simple, entertaining lectures to work through. His quizzes were firm but fair, you won't be able to BS or GPT your way through it but he gives detailed and thorough feedback, moreso than any other professor I have had... He writes paragraphs of USEFUL feedback when grading.
