Prof Celemente is awesome!! He makes early latin american civ interesting which is very hard to do. He really cares about his students and tries to make everyone get an A. Altogether, one of the best history profs @ MSU. Definitely worth taking if you need a hist requirement.

Prof. Clemente is an extremely passionate professor who clearly knows what he's talking about. He's interested in hearing others' opinions along with giving his students a very accurate historical background. Overall, an awesome professor!

before i took his class i regretted registering for it- he made something completely uninteresting something worth learning. he has a geniune care for the students and gets to know them individually. he grades really easy and is a really friendly and approachable guy. im very happy i took him and have recommended him to one of my good friends. NOT CLEAR...VERRRRY easy....sends mixed messages...has an extensive knowledge of the history of modern dance as well as what qualities were needed to be a successful emperor...prefers demonstrations over straight lecture...learned a lot this past year...ALL HAIL THE EMPEROR!!!

clemente is a genuinly nice guy n he really cares about his students, he's extremely knowledgeable n will teach u well, i wasnt evr interested in hist but he made it interesting, just go2 clas n pay attention 2lectures and u dnt have to read then, easy 10quest mult choice quizzes, mid&final essays which he tells u the quest..take him/easy A!!

He is an OK professor. His quizzes are easy, but grades his midterm and Final poorly. I would not take him again.

Professor Clemente is an awesome guy. I went into his class thinking that I was going to be bored out of my mind because it was a history class, and for the most part history is boring. But his class was always interesting and he was willing to help anyone with anything in the class at anytime.

Best teacher ive ever had. he's extremely nice and if you have any problems he'll gladly help you out. his personality keeps you attentive and you learn because of it. if you're taking him for a gen ed, he's easy as long as you take notes. i took him for two classes and would take him again if he taught any more classes.

Professor Clemente was a professor who actually made history fun you could finally learn and understand the material without going home and studying for hours. What he teaches you sticks with you. I would highly recommend him. His quizzes are not hard, multiple choice always, and he warns you ahead of time. And the tests, easy, you'll see.

I am a history major so I pretty much enjoy all history classes. BUT, this guy is the best teacher I have encountered. I was in the 8:30 class and even the trolls in the back row were engaged and interested in the Thirty Years War. 4 quizzes, 10 questions multi-choice (ez) 2 exams (gives you the possible topics, and he picks 2 to write on).

Clemente is a great professor and very thorough with the material. Sometimes sarcastic and he even reminded me of Lewis Black at times. Midterm, final, and I think four questions... Midterm/Final are essays and the quizzes are 10 question multiple choice. Make sure you don't confuse kings, events, and time periods!!

Prof. Clemente kept this class informative and entertaining. He is very knowledgable and as far as easyness, I wouldn't say he is easy, but he makes studying for exams very, easy & clear. Incredble teacher. Very passionate about what he teaches, makes every subject so interesting. Must do the reading to participate and pass the exams, which are all essays, but he gives them to you ahead of time so you can prepare then goes over all of them before exam day. without a doubt one of the coolest teachers i've had. the difference between him and other teachers at msu is that he actually gives a sh*t. His lectures are fun and you definitly get hooked after his first class. Take his class!! I took his class last semester for a requirement, and took him again this semester just for fun. Makes every subject interesting. Read, or at least skim the chapter before class. The quizzes aren't too bad, there's only 4 total. The midterm and final are 2 in class essays, but you have the questions ahead of time

He is an incredible professor. Very passionate about the subjects that he teaches in his lectures. He gives four quizzes, a mid-term, and a final, but if you come to class, take notes, and do the reading you will do FINE! He is usually available before and after class to answer any questions you may have.

He has been the best history teacher I have had so far! He is a funny guy and makes the class interesting. He gives out 4 quizzes, midterm and final. You are given reading assignments which aren't bad. As long as you listen in class and do the reading, you will get an A. Take him, you wont regret it!

He is an awesome teacher. I DO NOT like history. At all. But he got me interested in it! He's funny too. And yeah its scary when you first hear the midterm and final are essays, but its really not that awful. I really enjoyed his lectures and learned a lot. He talks about historic events and people as if he were there. Take him!

This is the second time that I have taken this professor. Once for Hist 105 and now for His 103. Easy class, not in the sense that there is no work involved, just that he gets the information across perfectly. He makes it interesting and fun, and he's just a really chill professor.

Before this class I had absolutely no interest in history. Prof. Clemente makes everything so very easy to understand and remember, you will have no problems passing his two exams!! Its not that he is an easy grader, it is that he is an excellent Professor.

Greatest prof I've had in 8 semesters of college. Makes material easy to understand/remember and adds his own personal experiences. Cares about students, very easy to talk to. Great teacher! Makes the class really interesting. Reading the book before class is a MUST he uses the book all the time. He really likes class participation and is very easy to talk to, adds his own personal experiences to the topic which is great and loves to hear yours. I would 100% recommend him!

Professor Clemente is somebody I would recommend to anybody -- people who do not like history and people who do. No matter what your interest level, he will make concepts so clear and fun. He also is very passionate about teaching. Only four quizzes (MC) and midterm and final that are essays. He gives you the essay questions beforehand! EASY!

This man is amazing. He is such a great teacher! I wasn't really into Euro Civ, but he made me take an interest in it! He is so passionate about his subject and I appreciate his enthusiasm. I would highly recommend taking any class of his--I'm taking another one of his classes next semester!

This professor is the real deal. I woke up every morning thinking that his class was going to be a treat. He is energetic, but not exhausting, enthusiastic, but not too unbaribly. He offered a supirior learning experiance. I highly recomend him. Extreamly satisfying.

he's very nice. his quizzes are a little tricky bc u have to take ur own notes and he doesn't exactly tell you what will be on the quiz. his midterm and final are 2 essays he chooses out of 5. A LOT OF READING for hw assignments, make sure do them otherwise u will be lost. class was somewhat challenging, take him if u have to i guess.

Sincerely one of the better professors I've had this school year and most definitely the best academic professor on campus. He teaches history as if it's actually happening in front of the class and he does his best to get everyone to relate to each era. He is a great guy and very funny. His quizzes require some study time but it is well worth it.

Honestly, he is one of the best professors that I ever had. Each lesson is like part of a great book where you keep wanting to come back to see what will happen. The negatives are that there is a lot of reading, and you really need to prepare for the midterm and final. Other than that, this professor is fantastic. I would recommend him to anyone.

He was awesome. He's really great at engaging the class in history and treating each chapter like a story. He's really animated and interesting. You'll need to buy the book but he goes over everything really well in class the book just accompanies what he says. Tests are easy if you listen and I guarantee you'll remember all of his stories!

I had him at 8:30 in the morning and didn't really mind getting up on the days I had his class because I knew it would be something cool to learn about. His tests are easy as long as you study, same with the exams. I definitely recommend him.

I was reluctant to take the class because it was at 7am but I am really happy I took it. You can tell how passionate he is about the subject and it catches your attention and makes the class overall more enjoyable. He is an excellent professor. You WILL learn something and if you can take ANY class with him DO IT you will not regret it.

Best Professor on campus! Had a 7am class but despite being tired every morning, this class was always full and he helps you retain everything. I've never had so much fun or learned more about History. Tests are short essay form (Easy) and he reviews everything with you. The whole class clapped for him at the end of the semester. I've taken two classes with Clemente and he's the best professor on campus. Engages students and loves what he does. Knows his subject. Do whatever you can to take his class. I've had the pleasure of taking all 3 of Prof. Clemente's classes. He is absolutly amazing. Very passionate, caring and helpful. Workload is managable and tests are pretty easy if you study. He's always smiling and cares alot about his students.

Absolutely love this man to death! took him 3 times and i wish i could take him more. Go to class, participate, and write down the notes the week before his exams and you'll get an A. If every one of my teachers were like him i would have 1 enjoyed college alot more and had a greater interest in learning he may be the best teacher i have ever had in college thus far and i am a senior He teaches without slide, power points or a book in front of his face. he teaches with passion enthusiasm and great deal of character hes the best!

Clemente is a really nice guy and he cares about students. I took this as a gen ed course. Most of the people in my class were history majors and had taken him on multiple occasions. I personally thought he was somewhat of a tough grader. Maybe it's because I don't breathe and eat history facts like some of the people in my class did.

Awesome professor, took him 4 times. Some classes have occasional quizzes but essay midterm and major paper. (If you do well on the midterm you don't have to take the final and he will give you the same grade. But it's a surprise so don't let on that you knew. My class made it apparent that they knew and he didn't offer it that time)

Taken all of his classes. written midterm and final which he gives you the questions to prior. biweekly quizzes depending on the course. 200 level has an 8 page paper on whatever you want and he wI'll help you with everything. Professor Clemente is by far one of the best history professors at Montclair State. The fact that he is not full time is shocking. He gives out four essay based tests(2 questions each), 1 every month, but he gives you the essay questions in advance and dedicates one class session to each question. Term paper is 7-8 pages, but topic is your choice.

His lectures are vivid, informative and Powerpoint-free. There are three 2-question essay tests but he gives the questions well in advance and he goes over exactly what he expects. There is one 5-7 page research paper on your choice of topic and he gives great feedback. Lots of reading and he does great heavily on participation. Fun class.

Best Professor Ever Taken. Wish he would go for full time. Makes sure to pick interesting books and talks about interesting aspects of history. Drove me to my dorm when he saw me walking in the pouring rain. Hes reminds me of Leonard from Big Bang Theory. Took all three classes that he offered

I love this class! I never really liked history classes until I stepped foot in this class. Professor Clemente makes sure that his students get the best out of the material that he is teaching. He makes sure we are all interacted with the material and makes sure that everyone understands it. I would take his class again! ANYTIME!!

Bottom Line: TAKE THIS PROF! he is amazing. Only 3 exams, homework is just to read. You really should read, participation points will be a super (hint). All the exams are in class essays, and open book, take good notes. He's hilarious, super passionate about what he does and overall wants you to leave the course with knowledge of the subject. 10/10

Professor Clemente is an excellent teacher, guide, and story teller. This made late night classes bearable and sometimes funny. All tests were open book and to the point.
