He is a very cool teacher, very nice and all but his notes don't really help at all. His test are hard plus he gives you 2 essay question as part of the test. Yet he is willing to give extra credit to those who want to pull up their grades. He does not use the book at all and he gives two major projects.

He's a really cool teacher. His notes aren't really the best, so you have to read the chapters in the textbook, but his lectures are interesting, and he's funny. His tests you really have to study for, they consist of 50 multiple choice questions and 2 essay questions, and one big assignment due almost at the end of the term. Overall great class.

There is no other better teacher than him to take this class. He is simply superb. There is not ifs or buts about taking his class. If you fail or dont get at least a B, then you seriously need to consider dropping out from college. On the real note, you should if that happens.

Excellent professor. He is always willing to help you, and his test aren't hard. He uses real life examples to illustrate each topic of the course. Test are multiple choice, and one assignment paper due at the end of the term. He is one of the "Highly Recommended Professors" at Hialeah campus.

Alex Gancedo is a wonderful professor and human being. I really enjoyed his class. You just need to read the book, take notes and study. Most of the time tests are common sense questions. He's very laid back and easy going, he has a great sense of humor and is very comfortable teaching. Only warning? He tends to stray off the subject, but his stories are so entertaining that you barely mind. Took him for INR2440 which is his International Law class and its was very interesting. He teaches this class only during the spring term. Although, this class is a little bit harder, you truly learn a lot. I got a B!

Professor Gancedo is charismatic professor. Who's class consist of discussion and test are like a blast from high school. If you read the key points in the chapter you will be tested on you will pass. He gives a study guide to final. Five Essays consisting of three pages each(you have the whole course submit). He is laid back n easy going.

I took this class and got a decent grade, However, the course is very challenging . Obviously, the material must be to studied in order to get an A. I enjoyed the class and learned a lot of new political knowledge. The study guide provided is a little deceiving, most of the information on the test is critical thinking from the chapters read.

Bets professor I've ever had. He helps you understand the material. I'm not too much into government but he made the material fun to learn & I didn't dread going to his class. I have actually taken him for two courses. He is a great professor, very funny and knowledgable! When I first started this class, I have to admit I was scared because history was my worst subject. Pay attention to his lectures, random things he says will be on the test. He gives you an outline in the beginning of the semester that you can use as a guide to study.

I enjoyed all aspects of his class lectures. He is highly knowledgeable and gives plenty of opportunities for students to succeed but ultimately its up to you to put in the work. His lectures are great . If you engage and take notes and truly pay attention you will do good. Dont expect to pass if you dont study. GO TO EVERY EXTRA CREDIT ACTIVITY NO MATTER WHAT !

Professor Gancedo is an intelligent person who knows a lot and will teach you a lot not only about the subject matter, but about life. He will assign a good amount of papers to write, and his tests are not the easiest, but if you do decent on the tests, all the other assignments will help your grade. International Law: Hard. Prof. Gancedo is not an easy professor but you enjoy his lectures you can see that he really knows what he is talking about and honestly he made me change me to law there is not much opportunity to get your grade up but he is really cool.

This profesor is amazing. He will not be in your ass about studying that is your responsibility, so dont imagine he is going to remind you to read your chapters, which you do have to read. He will give you a syllabus which contain the chapters you will cover during the exams. It is your responsibility . He is good. Would 100% take again.

Professor Gancedo is absolutely amazing. This is the second semester I have him, and it's been wonderful. For international law, there are two tests, two writing assignments, and one group project. As long as you complete all the assignments, you shouldn't get anything less than a C. The tests are difficult, but they come directly from the book.

Professor Gancedo gives credit where credit deserves. If you like to slack off and not put in the necessary effort to get the grade you deserve you will not be pleased with his class, Overall, he is very sweet and his lectures are never boring since he presents real life cases related to the materials. You won't regret taking him!

First off, he is very nice and tries to get to know every student. He'll joke and tease students, making a warmer environment. He knows his info but he went kinda fast sometimes but is very open to questions. There were multiple choice midterm and final and a group project at the end. He says to read but I never did n just listened to his lectures

if you read the chapters like he tells you to then you will get an A on the tests. The book is mandatory because all test questions are from the chapters!!! People expect to magically know the material without taking their time to read. The essay questions will be regarding the random topics he covers in class but READ for multiple choice questions

He gives all the information you need that are on the test. It was 3 tests, 50 questions each, pretty averagely easy if you listen to his lectures and take notes. Hes clear with what you need to study to pass and very understanding.

I had Professor Gancedo for American Federal Government and it was a simple class, as long as you study of course! I definitely would take his class again. He is very understanding and extremely nice! I strongly recommend him!

I took this class online. There were only three tests the hardest of my life and a writing assignment of four essays.

I took it online so it was chill but study on the book the lectures dont really help so just study most of it also its basic history so youll be okay.

If you are looking for a class that is not going to make you work on assignments and quizzes every week this is the one for you, only 3 tests for the entire class, but of course that comes with a price, be sure to read the book and listen to all lectures and you will pass.

Professor Gancedo is honestly the BEST professor for American Gov. His class consists of 4 tests of 50 multiple questions each. No protector. Plus one Paper due mid-semester on 4 different topics of your choice from the list he provides. If you participate and show your face on camera. You will do great. He is worth taking!

I loved Prof Gancedo! his lectures were unique and interesting. There was a lot of participation opportunity, and he will love you if you talk in his class. This class has 4 grades; 3 exams and 1 12pg (I think) writing assignment. The only bad thing is that the lectures do NOT correlate with what's on the exams so you have to read the book.

Overall an amazing teacher. For sure knows his stuff and is very straight forward. not the teacher to play mind games with and he looks out for his students. Straightforward lectures on subject for the day, and promotes participation from the class when needed to show examples regarding historic cases. Overall his grading system is announced in the beginning: three tests, no extra credit, if you study for the most part and pay attention, you'll be fine. Would take his class again just for topics.

At the start of the class, he told us that "he was a straight arrow" and that everything he was going to do was in the syllabus. Man, he was not lying. He's true to his word never adds work that wasn't on the syllabus. Also, his test questions are based solely on the textbook and lecture, so pay attention and read the book.

Professor Gancedo is a great professor if you have to take an American Federal government course. He is extremely easy going and likes to talk with students about other short topics like sports; He does do exams but if you study and pay attention in class then you should be fine. If I could I would take his class again.

Amazing professor. Only 3 exams and a 9 page essay, so a total of 4 grades only. In the essay you discuss 3 different topics so it is like 3 essays put together, it is not as bad as it sounds. He takes attendance at the end of every class. Lectures are super easy and engaging, cameras do not have to be on. I would definitely take his class again.

Prof Gancedo is caring, understanding and often times pretty funny. Lectures are relaxed, and open discussion is encouraged but not mandatory, 3 papers 3 pages each and 3 exams which were not as hard as it sounds, attendance every class. Sweet, and highly knowledgeable. Heavy on the tests, & quizzes, and random info from text you wouldn't think would be on it. Kind, and gives good feedback. SUPER flexible and understanding. However, he was easily distracted by tangents that had NOTHING to do with class, like football and other random things students brought up.

This professor was honestly not that bad. All he gave us was CRAZY 3 testS (50 QUESTIONS IN 60 MINUTES), and a 9 page essay (which was select 3 questions and do 3 pages for each). I took this professor for Social Environment and International laws and he was PHENOMENAL. Funny, witty, interesting lectures, although if you're not into participation, beware, he does randomly call people. He is extremely helpful and attentive, I wanted to be a lawyer at the time and had a great discussion with him about law school after class.

You might see some recent bad reviews but honestly a lot of students this past term just didn't bother reading the textbook (which he made clear was required from the start of the semester).
