I took math in the summer with him. Cool guy, good instructor.
He's our substitute teacher. He's done a good job up to now. Got us on track fast. The class is difficult so I dont blame him for general low grades.
Difficult class but good teacher I'm finally understanding something!!!

He is a very nice person. Alaways treats students with respect. If you dont understand something, he is there to help you, just ASK! I highly recommend him but you have to do your part too. The calss is easy if you study and do your homework. Oh! and he is very cute and carismatic also, thats just a plus.
During the spring session of 2005, my time was wasted in his class! He doesn't have any interest in helping you at all. He doesn't give the sincere effort to answer questions during class. There are great math teachers @ SWC, but Juden is not 1 of them!!!
very cool teacher, the person who took him in spring and said he was bad well thats not true. i took him that same semester and he was great. he is always available to help. just do the homework and study. His test are easy,if you go to the math workshops he gives extra credit and he usually puts the problems on the test from the workshopd.easyA hot!
Juden is rude & aloof;he advised students to buy a calculator that wasn't necessary to use & quizzes had 1-2 questions. Students asked questions, he said, "Uh, I don't know. Ask me after class."(that's not what he said in the beginning of the class). Lectures are unclear & confusing. BEST ADVISE: Take MATH 65 with Andrew Medin!
i totally HATED math before this class. now i have an A and understand it perfectly! he's super understanding and always prepared to answer questions. he's also super COOL!! he gives you hints on homework on which ones hes actually gonna grade so you dont have to do all of it and the tests are exactly what you did on the homework.
Great teacher! I hated math before taking his class, and now I actually like it. He's very approachable and will work with you one on one during his office hours. He's willing to break everything down many times so that everyone in class understands it. Would take his class again.
Alex is a great teacher. I absolutely understood everything in his class and now I have an A in his class. I never even did the homework.
Great at teaching math. made the math a lot easier for me!! i recommend him
Very good teacher; really tries to make sure the class understands the material. He's firm but fair. If you do your homework and study, you should have no problem. Highly recommended.
Had horrible experiences with Mathematics instructors in the past. Alex turned this around for me and I will be looking forward to future classes with him. Do the Homework, project and ask questions and you'll be fine. Obviously the 2-3 bad ratings here were sour grapes/slackers.
great teacher that makes the class bearable. ask questions without worry of being embarrased and is open to the students. plus hes hot!
Rude, aloof and arrogant. I'm on the Honor Roll, with excellent grades! I'm an intelligent young woman, with great study skills. I'm not a slacker, nor am I lazy. Assuming bad ratings = slacker/lazy, learn to be courteous and smart, some students don't understand an instructor who expects you to comprehend math 65, on you're own!
Alex is a great teacher who explains everything so well that it's impossible to fail his class if you do everyhting he says. He's willing to lend a hand & always offering time to help during his office hours. Funny & makes the class bearable. I'm getting an A in calculus and I suck at it. GREAT TEACHER! Print out the slide shows & youll do fine.

In order to pass his calss, it is very important to take notes and understand the homework. U need to ask questions to pass his class, and pay attention. HES A HOTTIE!! definitly
Great teacher! Explains the material very well. He puts up notes on blackboard so make sure you print them out because they are very handy. The quiz and tests are very similar to the reviews he gives you. Also, make sure to do the hw. Easy class.
I had to end up dropping this class not because it was hard but because Juden wouldnt slow down & explain the curriculum thoroughly. When someone would ask him a question about the lecture hed say "Ask me after class" The 1st 3 weeks I did as he said the problem was that many students were lost as I was and there was a line JUST to recieve his help
didn't want to answer student's question, probably didn't know the answer or didn't care. Arrogant and aloof with people, even Professors and other students know that. Deliberately embarassed students for no reason---that's not very helpful nor kind. Take Safaee, Bornholdt, or Medin!!! You will definitely pass, learn and understand with these 3 professors I listed:-)
excelent professor!!
Great teacher! Explains material well and very helpful.
Mr. Juden is a cool guy and good math teacher. He is easy to understand and uses alot of examples! I plan to take him for 65.
nice teacher, funny at times and very helpful.
I thought this teacher was VERY negative! Everyday we have to hear that some of you don't belong in this class speech and he teaches us as if we halready know it! News flash teach, if we knew it already we wouldn't need YOU! Maybe he should teach a higher math, I guess us "remedial" students are boring him!
Very helpful. Tries to be funny and sometimes is. He explains everything step-by-step and goes back if you ask. He is a bit patronizing at times. Telling people to take time off school and come back when they're ready is not what students want to hear. Other than that, he's HOTT!!!
This strange, bald guy is rude, sarcastic (not in a funny/humorous manner), negative & critical towards students. Please, take Andrew Medin. Medin is a great Math professor; he teaches Math 120 (Biz Calc) which, is easy!
Extremely competent professor.Very willing to help.students who come here to talk poorly of this professor must be too stupid to take a college level course.the curriculum is fair, not easy,if you want easy go back to high school.the idea is to learn,to be challenged.Juden is able, fair and he cooperates with students.class environment is comfortable
he is a great teacher. he tells you an effective way to study for tests and is very fair with grading. very helpful and makes the class bareable. i would recommend him to anyone. very good teacher
I give him a 10+ on his teaching. He is extremely helpful and cares about your grade. His way of teaching is crystal clear. He gives out pop quiz and puts a pop quiz gave out in the test. HW is online really easy&helpful.By the end lets you drop a test, 2 quizes, and 1 hw. Easy grade to pass class. I recommend you get a graphing calc.Dont buy book!
He's cool! Take him. He makes class fun with his jokes. I cracked up when he referred himself to the "MICHAEL JORDAN" of math. HILARIOUS! If you want math to be fun, take Juden.
This guitar thrashing factoring mad man makes for an awesome teacher who is more than willing to help with anything. His grading is very fair and he explains things anyway you need him too. p.s. "easy A"! Sorry, had to say it.
His class is easy, if you work hard. His has a good way of teaching math. I would take him again. If you can take his class.
Awesome teacher. I actually took Stats (MATH 119) and Business Calculus (Math 120) with this guy. He's very clear and he gives great partial credit. He's actually very funny. Among some of his jokes, I remember when he graphed something on the proyector, and he said: "OH YEAH BABY" (In a kool-aid man kinda voice) I lol'd xD
One of the best teachers on campus. The class is hard but if you stay on top of it you'll be good. He's very helpful and funny. You don't need the book if you take notes and the HW is all on line.
omg hot teacher he has the most dazzling smile. too bad his married
He's a brilliant man but I couldn't understand anything he was teaching. His approach was too technical. I struggled and ultimately dropped. He's a very friendly person though!
Great teacher. I'm happy I decided to take him. Juden provides a good foundation for other math classes down the road. He has a great approach at describing problems in multiple ways to make sure everyone understands. He's very approachable, so feel free to ask him questions if you need further clarification.
Great teacher!
hes a really nice , funny teacher, you can tell he wants everyone to learn & do good. a lot of pop quizzes but you can share answers with people . gives out reviews before each test that are very similar to the test which make it much easier. no textbook, only MathXL. fun class!
he know his stuff, but i was never able to understand what he was talking about. goes fast in the lectures, and teaches calculus with powerpoint. only explains the problems once. i ended droping the class
This guy is the most boring math teacher I've ever had. Does not know when to slow down while lecturing, goes too fast and is not very helpful....please if you can I highly reccomend you to take another math teacher
He is one of the better math teachers at swc. He is very fair and clear with grading and tests. Do your homework, ask him to clarify concepts, and go to office hours if you don't understand things. He's there to help as long as you make the effort to ask.
Great teacher, very helpful and approachable if you have any difficulty. Uses Math XL instead of textbook which is great... teaches through examples and has clear explanations
This guy is great. I really like the way he explains everything and if you are in Calculus you are supposed to know your Math so for those who say that he doesn't explain well, you're supposed to know it. He is fair and he makes sure to explain and answer every question you have for him. I do reccomend him for advanced math
great teacher he explains everything he gives lots of examples when ever you need help he helps and explains it until you get it. he uses mathxl which is great. his test are easy if you do your homework and pay attention. test is just like the review he gives.very funny and fun class
Excellent teacher! He knows what he's talking about and very fair with everything. Does not over whelm you with class work. All hw is on math XL and just don't procrastinate on the last minute. He is a very good and humorous man who will make the class smile or laugh every now and then :)
Professor Juden is by far the BEST MATH TEACHER @ SWC! I don't care what other students say but this is a FACT! He is a very chill and humorous guy! He's just freakin awesome! This guy is NEVER IN A BAD MOOD and makes the class fun! Just pay attention, do work in class, and do hw on math xl. It's all basic for an EASY A!!!
His pop quizes are a BREEZE! Lets them be open notes or check your work with a partner, what more can you ask for?!? GREAT TEACHER! Always knows how to show you a method in order to understand!
Juden is AMAZING!!! You can't ask for a better teacher than him because he is the real deal! If there were awards for teachers he would definitely be nominated for one. He played the guitar while singing a math song in class to make the rules of mathematics more understanding! He is a very helpful and patient man, you won't regret taking him.
Great guy. Very easy to understand and always helps you if you need it. Very friendly and humorous. Quizzes are easy points and tests are okay but really short, so if you miss a point, it costs you. He's also a great motivator and an excellent professor overall.
This is an amazing teacher. I hated math but with his teaching, he makes it fun. I now understands and I have one of the highest grades in class. He will walk you through what you dont understand. He even played a guitar with a song about. Which was not only cool but shows his dedication in showing his students steps to better enjoy math. Great guy
Easygoing professor with a sense of humor. Tests are pretty straight forward - many questions pulled straight from homework and notes. Always willing to help students, makes the class laugh a lot! Tells things how they are and has lots of patience! Would take him again, highly recommend!
Easygoing professor with a sense of humor. Tests are pretty straight forward - many questions pulled straight from homework and notes. Always willing to help students, makes the class laugh a lot! Tells things how they are and has lots of patience! Would take him again, highly recommend!
Great math professor! You will learn a lot and have fun at the same time because for him "There's fun in Calculus"! This is my first time taking Calculus and so far I am learning a lot from him. The test are from the homework. I recommend him!!
Professor Juden is amazing and his class is fun. He is very helpful and smart. He does his best to help students understand math.
He does a great job at teaching math and helping everybody understand it. If you show up to class and put in an effort you will come out of his class with a good grade. I was horrible at math before I took his class.
oh he's the best! he's very dedicated to his students and cares about them understanding the subjects... not boring at all and super easy pop quizzes
Alex is the best teacher in the world. Let me just say that he is a wonderful person, he makes his class so fun, he has a great sense of humor. The way he teaches is so engaging. Take him!!!!
Professor Juden is GREAT! Homework is on math XL. His tests aren't that difficult if you study! He wants you to succeed so ask for help! His teaching style is very clear. He has a great sense of humor and is the best math professor I ever had!
he is okay however he doesn't really care to much about you so don't think that you can talk to him and have a college experience with him. So just do your homework and study for exams period.
Best math teacher ever!!!! He is very helpful, dedicated, super sarcastic, great sense of humor..haha he even wrote and sang a song about factorization with his guitarr lol..Best grade I got on any math classes!!
Example of a perfect teacher
A fun teacher! Cracks jokes in class and will willingly answer any and all questions. The course itself is dificult but he tries to make it as easy as possible. Only complain is he's a FAST teacher. BREEZES through lessons and examples. MUST GO TO CLASS or miss a pop quiz or simply miss info. Must be willing to work hard/have fun while doing it!
Excellent professor, quite possibly THE BEST math professor at SWC. Highly recommend him over the likes of Rasky.
He might be good at math and explaining problems, but his personality comes across as a real blow hard. I had to drop the class because it was moving too fast during summer. At least now I will be somewhat prepared to take it over.
Great at math, gets defensive when you ask him questions, tests are way harder than homework, pays way too much attention to chicks in class.
This a very unorganized professor. He makes a lot of mistakes during his lessons and the students have to tell himto correct it. If you ask a question about the homework don't expect him to answer instead you will be yelled at. He is not there to help you understand. He skips a lot of info. you need. You are better off taking an online class.
I have him for CalcII and I regret taking him. You either know the homework or you basically fail. I'm not that type to fail or give up but the students reflections are only as good as the professors. We went over the overall grades for the whole class and 3/4 of us are failing! There's only about 5-7 people with As or Bs. Trust me DON'T TAKE HIM.
I had so many bad teachers in high school who made me hate math with a passion, but after having his class I love it and I feel more confident in the area. He is very patient and makes the class fun. He gives you homework almost every week through Math XL but it really helpful for the exams. Also,he drops the lowest test score.
Awesome professor! Made me seriously reconsider my career... went as far as deciding to study mathematics! Helpful, clear and interactive!
Nice guy, but harsh grader.
Great sense of humor. However, he goes too fast and looses half the class before midway through the class!
Class is hard. Definitely need a good foundation of Calculus 1. Makes it easy if you do the homework. Ask him questions and he will help. Don't confuse help with giving you the answer because he doesn't. Don't put the homework off, practice daily, especially if your trigonometry is not good. Overall a good math teacher who does care about his class
I passed his class with a B, but I did not think it was the place to be at. If you can avoid him please do. I discussed him with other people who had taken him and they all said the same thing.
Expect to be in class everyday! Homework every week, tough tests and 10 pop quizzes total.
Everything is on MathXL, never used the book so you would safe money. He is a great teacher! if you're interested in the class & subject he will help you. His grading is straight forward: pop quiz (10pts), Test (100pts), and Hw (20pts). I would definitely take my next math class with him . :)
If you take math, take with this guy! His explanations are very clear-cut and he's willing to answer questions. On the rare occasion he gets off topic, his stories and jokes are hilarious. He gives a lot of homework, but it's all online, and it really helps you study the material. Be sure to actually go to class; he gives pop quizzes! JUDEN ROCKS!
The Experience was bad. The guy would just ask students to gather in groups and solve the problems themselves on a figure it out basis. Teaching? no way! the 1 hr class finish with a couple of problems and bum! class dismissed. What a way that some pseudo-professors have to make easy money. Don't take him if you really need to learn math.
Homework is online, do them, if you need help email professor or click the help me button, literally walks you thru steps. Mandatory because of pop quizzes, sometimes he hints at them. For tests (4)-Study powerpoints, memorize formulas, notes he writes on board or repeats during lectures. He's a great professor, helps with questions. Don't be late.
Moves way too fast, and does not make sense a lot of the time. Students would ask him to be more clear and he got defensive... Kind of insulting the student rather than helping understand. I LOVE MATH but this course was plain horrible, ended up ENCOURAGING people to drop the course since half the students were receiving D/F
I took Professor Juden's class years ago. However, I can still remember that the class was difficult. The exams were tough and the final was brutal. In order to pass this class I highly suggest that you turn in the homework on time. Overall, I got a B because I bombed on the final.
Never had an idea on what would be on the test and since some chapters had a lot of info ( and the professor's pace was pretty fast) its kind of hard to keep up when you have other classes to worry about. Especially when you feel you have to memorize everything. Study Guides would of honestly raised everyone's grades by at least a letter grade.
In the beginning of the semester he told us that he would drop our lowest section of our grade. Then Power Study came along and he would drop our lowest quiz after attending 14 sessions. When I found out my lowest section was my quizzes I asked him what happens to your deal about the Power Study then? He realized it had to be changed but he didn't.
I took math 60 with Juden, it was not good he is not a bad professor but he needs more organization. He would ask you to work in teams and power study is mandatory , he is not accessible. I never understand what he was talking about , so I ended up dropping the class , I took it again with another professor and I got a A. just take another pro.
Professional yet warm and witty. Homework required were relevant and helpful. Respected. Pop quizzes kept class on its toes. Accessible and approachable. Impressive talent in simultaneously using many colored markers to make his board work easy to follow and remember.
Mr Juden is a really good professor. Your grade is based on 5 hw packets 10 pop quizes 6 tests and the final. Juden drops your lowest test and homework score. Mr juden makes the topics very clear and to study for the test do the hw on mymathlab because he uses the same problems but uses different numbers.
I took his class fast track, and hes class was pretty good, i learned a lot and he really cares about his students, he also takes time on each student to answer questions.
I did not like this class at all. First he would not even explain the problems, he would just solve it on the board without asking for any clarifications. He expected us to already know how to do the problems. I'm a auditory learner and I could not learn a thing. I learned more from the mymathlab examples than him.
Not a particularly verbal professor, everything makes sense to him and he expects you to see it too. If you make an effort to keep up with his thought process you will learn a lot. I think if he hadnt challenged me-kinda by not explaining much- I wouldnt have understood the subject so well. Calc2 feels like a break, even though he said itd be harder
Mr. Juden is a very humble instructor. He does his best to help students understand the work. His tests are challenging and there is an extensive amount of homework, but it does nothing but help prepare for the final. There are also many pop quizzes so make sure you are constantly prepared. Overall, I've enjoyed this class
Great professor! I've had him for math 60 and 70. Really helps break things down. Homework on math XL. Can take him again if I can!
Took Mr. juden for both Math 60 and 70. Final for 70 was rough. Excellent lectures, learned a lot. Plus he's funny.
Best math professor I have ever taken!! He's hilarious and encourages questions and participation from the whole class. His pace is just right. Not too slow, but not too fast. Easy to understand and keep up with. He would allow time for you to practice independently and with peers on practice problems. Passing tests relied on your own practice (hw)
I do not recommend taking him, he has no leniency whatsoever when it comes to grading. He gives pop quizzes like there is no tomorrow. If you are not good at math or teaching yourself I do not recommend him at all. He loves to call you up randomly to the board even when you already state that you do not know how to do the problem.
Took Math 70 in summer. Mr. Juden helped me realize the difference between 'remembering' how to solve a problem, and 'understanding' how to solve a problem (i.e. why it works, and how it is applied in the real world). Very available after class and outside of class. Responds to e-mail. Pop Quizzes. No extra credit. MathXL. Homework is to study. :)
Really good at explaining. nice, patient and understanding. makes sure everyone understands what is being taught and always makes jokes, even songs!
it's obvious he cares about his students but his teaching style is very high speed for anyone that isn't super into math or knows anything about calculus going into it. Must stay on top of the homework to grasp anything taught in class. No extra credit or late work allowed.
He is a decent professor I will say that. Very patient and is willing to help you whenever you have questions although he may confuse you at times. His tests consist of about 10 to 14 questions and are pretty straight forward. The biggest issue I had with him is that he literally gives you no time like less than a week to study for the final.
Very patient and has a great attitude for teaching. Gives an exam every 2 weeks and 10 quizzes which are both very straight forward so make sure you are staying on top of the homework. His teaching style is very fast though so make sure you keep up. His exams are also very easy but make sure you do the homework.
He is funny and caring at the same time. Class is very fast pace so make sure to be keeping up.
Nice teacher but rushes through lessons and does not have great teaching methods at all and teaches his class at a very fast pace. Its math you cant rush math. A lot of hw and gave a exam every 2 weeks. tough grader as well. If you struggle with math do not take his class.
He goes way too fast. He also covers a section for like a day and 2 days later gives an exam with the material that he barely taught and gave like 2 examples for. Only take this class if you want something fast and are good at learning at a fast rate.
Professor Juden is a fantastic professor, very knowledgeable in math, and wants to help everyone succeed. If you show up to class everyday, participate, and keep up with the homework you will pass this class no problem. I would take Juden again for any math class I have to take.
Juden is a really hilarious dude, and he really knows his calculus. The problem is he is not very clear when teaching it, and is brutal with the class curriculum. Had a 79% in the class and he wouldn't work with me to bump it up to a B. Lots of pop quizzes, no extra credit, and rushed teaching. Wouldn't recommend taking again.
Cool dude but he goes sort of fast. He also doesn't really have that good of teaching tactics to make you remember things. He typically will put you in a group and make you figure it out and write it one the board. Then if you made a mistake he'll just fix or correct it. You call that teaching? no, and I cant believe teachers are getting paid.
Salute to Prof. Alex Juden, he is one of the best math profs. I actually recommend any student to select Prof. Juden. He is an Engineer, so who likes to study math!!!; its better for him to learn it from an Engineer who could make the student understand the applications of math in the best ways .
The class goes super fast but his tests and quizzes are easy as long as you are keeping up with the homework. He does cram a bit too much into the lectures though and can be extremely confusing at times. But all in all he is a super cool dude. Just wish he would slow down a bit.
WAY TO MUCH HW, each HW section had about 30 problems each. Says the problems are from the HW but way tooo many questions. Reccomends to attend PSP and other helpful people. Very confusing though a nice guy. Writes everything with words instead of showing. Hopes you to work out a problem before explaining it.
He is a good teacher. His teaching speed is kind of fast and you need to be good in Math, know the basic stuff before enrolling, and be a fast learner. On the other side he explains almost everything perfectly and will help you with any question during class. There are very few pop quizzes and exams, and not a lot of hw, but don't do it last minute
Statistics (math 119) is a tough class for a lot of people . I was dreading the class. Juden was very straightforward in explaining what we needed to know to get through the class. COLORS! He uses different colors on the dry erase board which makes everything easy to keep track of. There was a lot of homework but its only 10% of total grade.
Perhaps the best teacher I've had in my STEM career. Very thorough and clear in his lectures, and it never feels like he's condescending to you. He's a former engineer, so he can teach physical applications of calculus as well! Was also very accommodating during the COVID-19 crisis, and posted the lectures online so nobody would fall behind.
Took this class twice in 19. Sitting here a year later and it hits me: Dude is amongst the best teachers I've ever had. His style of teaching calls for collaboration and networking, just as a workplace setting would. "A/B" students I challenge you to help those who struggle. Those struggling: Ask questions. Juden would love to see you accel
He is a nice guy. He does rush his lectures. Which I think is bad. There are also pop quizzes he gives like every week. Stay on top of that and do the homework as well as the examples he provided in class. Memorize that and you should pass.
During in person classes, the test questions are literally are the same as the homework questions. No other calc teacher does that. He's a good teacher and a good guy too. You can tell he really wants students to succeed.
An amazing professor, he does tend to go fast during the lectures but he is more than happy to go through the material again with you. Very easy going and approachable, he really loves when you ask him questions related to the topics. He is straight to the point and teaches you what will be on the exams. He is great overall
This Professor was great in every way. He gives you all the tools you need for a notoriously challenging class, Calculus. If you are devoted to learning the material and pushing through it, Professor Juden is going to support you every step of the way! He's flexible and dependable. My only upset is that I can't take him for Calc II.
(Online class) Took his class for Fall 2020 and I want to say that he is such an incredible professor! Alex always listens to your questions and answers them with good information. Pop quizzes are very short times giving you 20 mins to do them, homework is due each day but ngl the homework is actually decent (can be done all on 1 month)
Taking a combination class is of course challenging because it's double the work but Prof. Juden is really organized and provides all the resources you need to learn. He saves his lectures so can catch up but I recommend attending classes because he gives out pop quizzes, they're basically HW problems. MAKE USE OF HIS OFFICE HOURS, it helps.
I took his math130 java class and it was a pretty good time. The labs are fairly straightforward and he assigns weekly homework assignments with 10 pop quizzes throughout the semester. Exams are easy too He's a nice guy
I personally struggled since you practically never got a chance to do a problem more than once; Never having the chance to practice almost anything more than once forced me to resort to external websites to be able to truly get anything down. This guy is one of the best instructors as far as lectures go but as for hands-on work, you might struggle.
He's great! The lectures are straightforward but very easy to understand. The pop quizzes and tests are very easy too. Revel (homework) is there to reinforce the lectures in class (or the other way around if you started the homework first).
Newer 130 teacher, heard he has taught 130 for no more than 2 years. Organized and an overall great guy, but isn't your guy for true mastery of the topic. Prof. Rasky is better for you CS/coding majors who really want a good foundation (lots of work but it pays off!). Misleading exam prep tips and quizzed on unlearned things (no more than 1-3times)
Definitely can be a harder class, it's an intro class so you don't need to know anything before (I didn't) but it does help knowing a little Java. Very "AI aware", had said I used GPT on an assignment and I failed the assignment, when I hadn't. Other than that though lectures are good, it's just a very heavy class so pay attention and study!!!
I love Math but somehow didn't love this class when I took it awhile ago. The professor was nice but lectures weren't very helpful since most of the time we were just split in groups or solving problems on our own.
My favorite professor I've ever had, wish he taught more computer science classes. He makes class fun and explains java in a way thats very easy to understand. Make sure to come to class every day or else you will miss a big chunk of what you need to learn to pass quizzes and exams. 10/10 (:
Chill class. Lectures are very beginner-friendly. Labs and quizzes/exams pretty fair. Progression of topics felt motivated/smooth which is refreshing. Only shortcomings: I wish we did more on aggreg/inherit/polymorph, felt a bit tacked on; the MCQs on exams pointless since we're allowed to check with an IDE lmao. But overall enjoyed this class.
Professor Juden is an amazing professor, he's lectures are great. But I do feel that he does give a lot of homework. There's times where their was 3 homework's due on Thursday when the exam was on Tuesday that same week. I felt it was hard to focus on the exam knowing there was a lot of homework due that same week. Besides that, he's amazing.
Took his math 130 with 0 experience, but his lectures are clear and the hw is good supplemental work. There are 4 exams + final, weekly readings, occasional pop quizzes, and 4-5 labs. It's a really smooth progressing class with each class building on each other. He's a great caring professor and I would highly recommend him. Just keep up with hw :)
Professor Juden really wants you to learn the topics being covered, he is always available for questions about class as well as the homework. The class is on the long side but he often lets you leave early if you finish the labs.
Very cool professor lectures never got boring and he has a great personality. Exams were challenging but they are doable with studying the lectures and homework. Heavy on the math lab homework but most have examples and help. Pop quizzes most weeks. Take professor Juden if you want to learn calculus well and if you are willing to come to class.
Grading is very fair homework is easy and exams are mostly material from lecture/lab. Very easy to get a good grade with the feedback professor Juden gives.
Professor Juden is an engaging teacher who makes the course material easy to understand. The workload is manageable, and resources like Unstuckstudy can help with study prep. Definitely take this class if you want a solid intro to Java.
Class lessons are good but his explanations are not that great, most of the time I had to teach myself. Pop quizzes are not that difficult and are given once a week with no surprises. His exams are mainly based on the class notes with 1 or 2 variants that are not taught in class. So expect surprises on exams and pay attention to your notation.
He's the perfect professor for Math 130, especially as an Introductory class. He doesn't make it a difficult class, as a lot of them are beginners to programming - he makes it easy to follow and makes sure no one is left behind during his lectures. He often goes around each student to check up on their code during the lab part, which is a huge help
Drops lowest grade, such as one of the exams or your labs and homework
Prof Juden is a great guy and an amazing teacher. He posts the codes everyday from the class and has so many other resources posted in canvas as well. He even lets you use those resources during exams which I find very helpful. If you are a beginner programming he is for sure your guy.
Great professor! Lectures are very helpful and he records them so you can access them if you missed a class. His pop quizzes and tests are often open note, with you being able to access previous class notes and the Revel homework. I recommend this teacher if it is your first time taking a comp sci course as the pace is easy and not too fast.
