Very good professor with excellent authority in his teaching and course. One of the best professors @ Oakton. No doubt. Love to be in his class in the years to come.

I learned a lot from this teacher. I used to have no understanding whatsoever about chemistry in high school. Came out of his class with a B. He is very clear in his teachings and he's a funny guy. Very helpful and approachable.

He is a very good professor. Teaches all the theory of chemistry.

Good teacher, he teaches the focuses on basic concepts of chemistry, which prepares you for organic. Also know how to do simple calculations for test. Test are multiple choice. If you study consistently you can get at least a B.

ne of the best instructors I've ever had. Organized and sensible lectures, explains things in simple terms, Very helpful to students. I would never take Chemistry with any other instructors but him.

The professor has a great personality& makes the class go by pretty fast.he does give A LOT of work (as if it's your only class), but it will end up being extremely helpful for his tests. he is willing to help but make sure you attend class! if you want to REALLY learn chem, take him.

Mr KOSHY made CHM very interesting. He makes you learn without you even knwowing that you are, he is not interested in someone just getting A's and B's. He wants you to show him that you understand what is going on, show effort.. I learnd alot in his class, and would recomend him to everyone ! Good Luck

First off he was truly an amazing/caring teacher. I hated chemistry in high school, but when taking his class she actually made me like it. If you truly want to learn something then I highly recommend taking this class if not then it is not for you. You need to be very organized to be in his class. You need to be allways be in class.

Dr. Koshy is one of the best chemistry professors I have ever known. He has a genuine, compelling interest in his field and knows what he teaches. He encourages his students to know the material and not just memorize it. He is very patient and loves it when students can demonstrate what they have learned.

Dr. Koshy cares about his students and wants them to understand what they are studying. His assignments are clear and easy. He gives handouts for each chapter before the exams, his power points are really helpful. All you need to do is to read from the book and take notes in class.

Chemistry in itself is challenging, but Koshy really helps break it down and helps students. He is a really nice guy and really cares about his students. Sometimes it is hard to understand him due to his accent but he is a great teacher overall and is really helpful to have as a introduction to chemistry class.

Dr. Alex Koshy is very helpful. He willing to explains patiently if any students don't understand the subject. I never study CHM, but took his class in spring 2017 was truly help me to understand chemistry. I recommend his class for student who need CHM 105 because the way he teach make the concept simple. Surely we need to study for a good grade.

Professor Koshy is absolutely amazing! He cares so much about his students, wants them to succeed and not worry about the letter grade but rather their understanding of the material. As a non-traditional student transitioning from a business background to the medical field, chemistry courses can be hard to grasp. Dr. Koshy teaches chemistry using a practical approach. He relates the material to real world situations so that his students are able to visualize and connect the concepts, which otherwise had been a challenge.

Professor Koshy teaches chemistry in a manner of which his students will retain the material for a lifetime, rather than just a semester. He is very passionate about chemistry and encourages all of his students to ask many questions. Dr. Koshy explains chemistry in layman's term so that even those without a strong science background can retain.

When I first signed up for Chemistry I was nervous, because I heard the class was difficult. His instruction, attention to detail & interest in the material helped me get through the course while developing an unexpected interest in the subject. Dr. Koshy gives you all the tools you need to be successful, but you must put in the work!

Dr Koshy is awesome. He is so inspirational person with a big heart. Makes tough chemistry be more understandable. Attendance is mandatory but his lectures are very interesting. He is very caring and want you to succeed .You will have to put work in order to get a good grade but he will help you if he sees that you are working hard. Great class!

I wish Prof. Koshy would teach Organic Chemistry in Oakton Community College. I took his Chem 105 class this spring semester. I learned to LOVE chemistry because of him. Now, I look at things differently, seeing how everything relates to chemistry. His class is amazing! I would love to take all his Chemistry classes if I could.

Very good explanations, and clear expectations. In chemistry 105 you will have 4 exams and 12 labs and you will have to do the lecture summary for each chapter. at the beginning of the semester, he will provide you with sample questions for each chapter those questions are very useful and almost the same questions on the test.

I took his class over the summer. I enjoyed his lecture very much because he applies chemistry to the real life. The exams are hard but you can pull off a B on the exams if you go through all the ppt and review questions. Prof. Koshy is very caring. If he sees that you're putting in the effort for his class, he will give you an A.

This is one of the best professors I have ever met at Oakton College. He loves his profession very much, explains lectures clearly, I didn't like chemistry since school, but after his lab classes I liked this subject.

Prof Koshy is one of those rare professors who genuinely care about how his students do in his class and their well-being. Exams are tough, but as long as you are studying and attending tutoring sessions (he highly encourages it because even he knows chemistry is a tough subject), you will do fine in the class.
