Awful!
He is hard, but fair. His teaching style is probably more conducive to teaching classes more than once a week, where students aren't in lecture for 3+ hours, but he does answer a lot of questions - no matter if they may be uninformed (more polite than saying dumb) questions. His accent might be his only negative if clarity is most important.
Professor Krasnok is a good person from what I can tell. He is caring and if you ask him any questions he will definitely answer them. However, he expects students quite a lot given their backgrounds and his exams are very tough. He's very passionate about what he does, but I wished he was more lenient with us. Get ready to live Maxwell's EQs!
This class is definitely not for the feint of heart (unless one really enjoys advanced electromagnetism) and is the love child of everything you have ever learned about physics/math. The professor might as well be Maxwell's reincarnation; He is extremely knowledgeable about the subject and presents the material very well, IF you can keep up.
Professor Krasnok is extremely knowledgeable of the course subject, all questions asked are usually answered to the asker's satisfaction. The lecture length for this course was 2:40, which is always tough to sit through considering the course content. He is a tough grader, but allows for multiple chances on assignments, so I would say he is fair.
He is knowledgeable on this subject. He provides a review and some assignments on the math we will need for this course which is helpful. Later assignments based on the material are more challenging, but are doable as long as you study hard and review the notes. He provides opportunities to resubmit assignments for a better grade and office hours.
He is very knowledgeable on the material and is willing to meet with students in office hours. That being said, the class grade is based on few assignments and its easy to lose points as he is a very tough grader, but he allows assignments to be resubmitted for a better grade. He goes through material quickly, but will answer questions when needed.
The professor is kind, but he gives a hard exam. be ready to study hard and read his notes step by step. you will need that.
Good teacher. Assignments are a little bit difficult, but he tries to ease the situation. He posted questions at least 10 to 15 days ago. That helps.
His way of teaching is excellent. He made the course easy. Also he provided us his own notebook which is actually very helpful.
He is one of the great researcher and tries to teach the new ideas.
Very in-depth lecture. I loved the fact that we did not have to take exams. Our grade was based on HW.
It's a tough course but Professor Alex keeps it engaging. The Homework is tough but it will be based on the class notes. Though few topics need to be explained more, overall experience of this class has been great! I would recommend anyone for taking this class. Also there were no finals so though its tough, you will get time to learn with worries.
Gives good feedback on assignments and lets you resubmit to improve grade. Wants the students to learn. Material is difficult but the assignments are very in depth to help understand material
The material of the class is really hard to begin with. He tries his best to give in depth explanations. Best part about the class is that he is willing to meet outside of class and help you with whatever you need. I would consider him an expert in this field.
This is not an easy class, it is a high-level math and physics class; However, Professor Krasnok makes it easier by being available and allowing sufficient time to complete all assignments which make up all of your grade (No In-Class Tests).
The class material is tough and heavy. The professor is tough grader also. However, he did his best in this course to help the students and he gives multiple tries for the homework and tests and extends the due date if needed.
The class is a bit tough, But the prof is very helpful. He explains in-depth to give you knowledge. Also, he is an excellent prof; he gives you many opportunities to fix your grade. Everything Is from his notes. If you plan to take a class with him, don't hesitate to ask him any questions.
This is a tough class to begin with, but Dr. Krasnok makes it easier by making the first part of class to make sure the background is solid as everything depends on a solid math foundation. from there he grades pretty strictly. after math review, he expects expertise in the subject matter. he is patient with deadlines which is a major plus.
Dr. Krasnok explained the course material in detail , and besides the theory, he taught us how to simulate the concepts in the software. he is very passionate that the students grasp the course material completely in which he dedicated three hours of his time each week apart from class time, to answer any questions that students have.
Dr. Krasnok teaches Quantum Computing. Yes, the Material is Challenging; however, he provides extremely thorough explanations and examples in his lectures. If you attend all the lectures, take notes, and ask questions you will succeed. He is passionate about the material and is super helpful to provide any extra explanations for clarification.
Dr. Krasnok's class was exceptional. His teaching style was engaging and effective, making even complex concepts accessible to students. Dr. Krasnok's expertise in the field was evident, and his ability to explain difficult ideas was impressive. Overall, I highly recommend this class to anyone interested in quantum computing.
Dr. Alex is a great professor if you are interested in quantum computing. He is enthusiastic about the subject and teaches with the same energy every time. He is an expert in the field.
I took Introduction to Quantum Computers with this professor the subject at hand is tough on its own, but he does a good job at explaining the topics. Only real downside is the homework its very time consuming and long and its a little random when he gives it out.
To address a topic as complex as "Intro to QC" in a semester of lectures and online, Dr. Krasnok has been an excellent Professor since the dynamics, schedules, and communication channels he has implemented to teach it have been perfect. I learned a lot, and I consider it to be an excellent intro training for our career. I recommend taking it 100%.
Very calm and excellent teacher.
Dr. Krasnok is overall a good professor who seems really interested in what he is teaching, but the course material can be a bit difficult at times. even intro quantum can be tough. I recommend if you take this course to give yourself time to actually watch all of the lectures, and make sure to complete all assignments after watching lectures.
Pretty tough class and subject highly recommend on touching up on quantum mechanics before taking. The course isn't super clear on how its structured and feedback can feel random.
Great experience! While the material isn't easy and requires a solid understanding of vector spaces, linear algebra and complex numbers, the professor's guidance made it manageable. Homework and exams aligned well with lectures, and he was always available for extra help. Textbooks aren't mandatory but useful for homework.
I took Introduction to Quantum Computers with this professor. Dr. Krasnok has been an excellent Professor enthusiastic about the subject in expert in this field. I learned a lot, and I consider it to be an excellent intro training for our career. I recommend taking it 100%.
The course was challenging but flexible, adapting to cover foundational topics thoroughly. The class does require knowledge of linear algebra and complex numbers. HW, lab and exams are based off topics covered in class. He would usually respond to questions pretty fast (emails in my case). Textbooks aren't mandatory but useful for homework.
I really liked the flexibility of the lectures as they were recorded. The midterm was a little difficult but if you did the homeworks and attended and toke notes from the lectures you would have enough information to do it. Great material and very cool stuff to learn but not enough time to get everything. But this was a great intro to quantum comp
Taking this class with Prof. Krasnok will ensure you have a deep understanding of electromagnetism both theory and numerical simulations. The course is difficult but interesting. Professor was very accessible and accommodating during office hours.
Took the class Intro to Quantum Computers (EEE4423), not sure why it is not available in the selection box and love the content of this class. Though the class is very difficult this professor made it easier to understand.
There are good and bad professors, he is a good professor others should learn from. He is not easy, he does grade, he will teach you, and you will learn how to be a better engineer after taking his class as well as learning very applicable technical skills I've been wanting to learn! The material isn't easy, he makes it possible and encourages u.
He makes a hard subject something you want to learn and teaches you what you need to know to succeed in life. Is very flexible and gives assignments that benefit your future.
He is the best example of a good professor, delivers his lecture passionately, and goes through all details leaving behind no doubts of his dominance on the matter. He gradually builds up the content, shows examples, keeps in touch with the audience, as well as keeps everyone engaged with his unique stile.
Professor Krasnok has good and insightful lectures and is easy to follow. Homework and labs are a little tough but not impossible to finish. He is also helpful in answering questions in class and during office hours.
This professor was very lenient with grades and assignments so long as you follow instructions and stay on top of your assignments. You are also expected to write a lot of explanation in your assignments. If you can achieve these things, you will get an A for sure. The final was also optional and the midterm was take home.
Took EEE 4423. The course didn't follow the syllabus schedule and only a couple of assignments make up your whole grade. The professor is very available and posts high-quality lectures. The lectures are the only given course materials. It was a good intro to a complicated topic.
This class is all about numerical analysis, field, and waves, is not an easy class but Krasnok makes it a breeze. He is passionate, approachable, and break down tough stuff into small so you can understand. Homework can be heavy, but Krasnok's clear explanations make it clear to understand.
The course material is very difficult but he makes it easy to understand. There are 3 lengthy homework assignments and a few simulation assignments that help you grasp the concepts of the course. Take your time with the mid-term and be thorough with it.
Although the class was listed as an in-person modality he insisted we use Zoom and agree on a convenient time for everyone to meet. This was extremely accommodating since I didn't have to rush to class from work at 5 pm. He's kind with grading and the lectures are thorough. The homework can take some time to do, but they are not difficult.
was inspirational in the teaching of numerical analysis of electronic devices, ansys is part of the class and essential for technical analysis. Only professor i know that has taught ansys.
The lectures were conducted online and uploaded in youtube. This made it really easy to revisit the material and understand it. The amount of homework is reasonable. Prof. Krasnok focused on theory in the first half of the course. The other half consisted of labworks with emphasis on simulations of practical examples.
(Class is actually EEE4423; Quantum Systems) Dr Krasnok is a great professor. His grading is fair, and he cares about his students as well. He will also give you give you options to improve your grade should you need to towards the end of the semester. I will seek him out again in future courses.
This course on numerical analysis of electrical equipment is worth looking forward to! The overall teaching style is relatively relaxed. It is a hybrid course between online and offline. At the same time, online courses will provide video links that can be reviewed and watched at any time.
In this course on Numerical Analysis, he goes over the theoretical side and you get to work with the ANSYS program. The teaching style is very helpful and he explains thoroughly and records his classes so you can go back if you missed something. He made the class hybrid which help with busy schedules, overall a great class, and a great professor!
Tutorials are provided bythe professor. He goes the extra mile when it comes to understanding of work life balance with school. Also always available in hes office for students.
Took EEE4423. Although the course didn't follow the syllabus, the pace was good. Exam and few assignments/labs aligned with lectures, which were readily accessible and easy to understand. Professor didn't give any assignment feedback either, which would've been valuable in better understanding the material and overall teaching style/effectiveness.
He is a kind, generous expert and busy researcher, who posts all his lectures on YouTube. He's easily approachable during office hours. Few grades and learning is primarily through his lectures. While the best parts of the lecture are excellent, topics he seems uncomfortable teaching often devolve into pure mathematics where its easy to get lost.
In this course on Numerical Analysis, he goes over the theoretical side and you get to work with the ANSYS. The teaching style is very helpful and he explains thoroughly and records his classes so you can go back if you missed something. He made the class hybrid which help with busy schedules, overall a great class, and a great professor!
Dr. Krasnok is very passionate about the subjects he teaches. His teaching style is very hands-on and at a great pace for the whole class to follow. He responds to emails quickly and is available to help. You can always find leniency and flexibility so long as you're sincere and show that you have respect for the course and a desire to learn.
Very understanding professor, Very well knowledge, and caring professor.
Great professor. I was very nervous about taking this class based on the topics covered per the Syllabus. Prof. Krasnok was very helpful and understanding of students that need refreshers on basic engineering and Calculus definitions. Class was very easy to follow and the coursework was very reasonable even with my full time job. Would take again.
Very consistent with lectures and lots of information. All made available on YouTube for you to review. The Professor is an easy going, understanding guy who cares about how his students learn and retain the material. I definitely would recommend!
Excellent Professor, good lecture
Professor Krasnok was my first introduction into quantum computing, and he taught us the basics of quantum mechanics from the ground up. He is a easygoing person, lenient on late homework, and does everything he can to help his students. Would take him again.
Very understanding professor. Allowed late homework and lab submission. Grades based on homework, lab, and midterm exam. Optional final exam. Always readily available, responds to emails, genuinely wants to help students learn. Very knowledgable on quantum physics and quantum computers. Class was not too difficult, but it is quantum physics so.
Course involves several assignments, one individual lab, and midterm exam that are all directly related to the lectures. Gives students access to lectures through zoom recordings, YouTube channel, and Jupyter notebook files. Overall, Dr. Krasnok is knowledgeable, respectful, and a great professor who cares about his students success in the course.
Professor has given a clear idea to use jupyter notebook for both classical and quantum simulation. As a beginner level, i could grab much of the learning materials. He pointed out everything with necessary examples and after every class he provided us the recorded lectures which helped a lot. Overall, Professor Alex is a nice guy.
The class consists of assignments, 1 lab, a midterm, and an optional final. We get lectures on Zoom, YouTube, and Jupyter files which are helpful for the course material. He is genuine and seems to care about his students. The content might seem a bit overwhelming if no previous experience with Quantum physics but don't be scared to reach out!
Great professor! He really has a passion for the topics he teaches and you can tell by his very well prepared lectures. Coursework is very well balanced. I have a full time job so this made keeping up achievable. Would take again.
Great professor!
This professor is very knowledgeable about quantum computing. The class is tough to understand at times but the professor tries his best to make sure the information he is presenting is easy to interpret by the students.
Lectures are clear, python is good to know due to the use of qiskit for quantum simulations and labs that run on real quantum computers at IBM. Quantum computing in general is linear algebra heavy. Professor provides great material to brush up on these topics and the notes help a lot with homework, labs, and exam.
Professor Krasnok is super knowledgeable on the subject and considerate of students. However, his classes are heavy in content so be ready to sit and focus for 2+ hours.
The class if pretty straightforward. Watch the lectures, review the Jupyter notebook lectures, do the homework and you should pass. Professor is pretty lenient and will work with you regarding any issues.
This is my second time choosing Professor Alex Krasnok. I took his Numerical Analysis course last year. I chose this Quantum Computer course this year, which brought me a big surprise. I really like the professor's course arrangement, whether it is recording lectures or coding exercises, they are all great!
This course is for Quantum Computers. The professor is an experienced professor on this topic. He has a lot of examples and codes that you can use. The simulator code used by Python. He arranged 3 homeworks, 1 labwork and 1 midterm in this semester. He is a kind man!
The course is detailed very well in the syllabus since your first lecture. There is a midterm and a few assignments and 1 lab. The whole course is meant to take place in Python and Alex does a good job of presenting new knowledge to students that for the most part know nothing of QM.
Dr. Krasnok teaches quantum computing in a coherent and organized manner, despite the subject being objectively complex. Lecture notes are very clear; their use of python to simulate computing and explain concepts enhances learning. Although assignments can be confusing, they provided multiple opportunities for resubmission and regrading.
Prof. Alex is quite knowledgable in his field and structures his lectures so well that anybody can understand the material.
Very lively and caring. Material is very dense, and ambitious for an elective.
Professor Krasnok, is exceptionally kind and always available for feedback. class lecture are recorded and available to review, which was really help full. The class lecture notes format was on jupyter notebook which was nice due to the visuals format but a lot of python code to read also.
The professor know the material and he cares about you learning! Always available to talk .
Great professor, very caring, extremely knowledegable on subjects he teaches. Class was graded on few assignments, with ample time between deadlines. Lectures are very important.
The class relies heavily on Jupyter Notebooks (JN), some Python background helps. JN environment/tools make it interactive, engaging and more fun in comparison to traditional lectures. Quantum mechanics can be challenging at first so be ready to learn. Video lectures on YouTube are a plus (they can feel drawn out). Prof. Krasnok genuinely cares.
Dr. Krasnok prepares you for the industry; every class he's taught incorporates a software tool that will be useful for the rest of your life. He records tutorial videos on the lab work assignments and is always there to help if you are stuck or at a crossroads. The best advice I can offer is to be sincere and don't try to finesse.
lecture videos are available on YouTube after the class it makes easy to recheck and understand the material clearly. He used jupyter notebook to practice the theory makes easy to understand and visualize the results with experiments.
Very detailed professor and wants you to understand the subject even though it is a difficult course itself so he leaves lecture videos on YouTube. He will help if you have questions so that you understand well and help visualize the results with experiments and tests the theory.
One of the best professors at Florida International University. If you are interested in doing research for your. Professional Career, you should take classes with Dr. Krasnok. He is always there willing to help, his lectures are amazing. During the class focus more in the research and complete your assignments and you will receive a good grade.
The professor is very knowledgeable, patient and thorough with the course material. The class is manageable as long as you put in the effort and complete the labs, guided by detailed tutorials which outline the steps. The professor's busy schedule can sometimes affect lectures, occasionally leading to postponed classes/lab assignment review.
Enjoyed the course. Very tough, but interesting material. Professor is very knowledgeable. Would recommend anyone who is interested in quantum computers to take the class.
The professor cares about the success of his students. He's willing to answer any question and is extremely flexible with how he runs his course. He records all his lectures, allowing you to access them at any time.
Professor Krasnok is very caring and prioritizes learning over exam taking. We were graded on 5 individual labs where we would submit small reports to emphasize time with an industry-standard tool (which I personally use every day at work so I can vouch for this). It was a very good class and teaches a lot.
This was actually for class EEE4423. The option was not included in the selection. His lectures were good and informative. Homework was pretty easy.
Prof. Alex Krasnok's recorded lectures are a game-changer for flexibility, perfect for revisiting tough topics. The shift from traditional methods to a Theory-to-Practice Approach made learning engaging and practical, connecting theory to real-world use. Highly recommend for an effective and adaptable learning experience!
All the classes are recorded and therefore, it was really easy to revisit and recall the lecture material. Since a lab assignment was followed by a lecture it was really nice - especially in visualizing the electric and magnetic fields!
All the classes were recorded, making it convenient to revisit and review the lecture material whenever needed. What I liked the most about the class was the practical assignments after each theory session- (simulations on Ansys). This hands-on approach greatly enhanced my ability to visualize and understand the theoretical concepts.
This professor excels in teaching with a clear, accessible style. Recorded lectures offer flexibility for students to catch up/revisit material. The blend of theory with practical applications, such as HFSS simulations(lab assignments), is highly effective. This hands-on approach enhances understanding and is the preferred method for learning.
Very clear and easy to follow. Totally recommend.
Very clear and easy to follow. Totally recommend.
He is a very good professor, explains everything in depth, and is a great communicator. You will learn a lot from his classes.
He posts excellent videos that make it easy to learn how to use ANSYS Maxwell and HFSS. He's also a very fair grader. I would definitely take another class with him. Truly the GOAT!
Overall good class that adopts a theory-to-practice structure. The lectures are good and recorded and he will work with you to help you understand the material. The hw involves the ANSYS program and allows you to utilize what you learned in class on actual work that is not just more theory.
The teacher is clear with his terms, deadlines are hard. He was helpful with the work and willing to help to able to complete his work on labs. I was getting bad grades until I had to see other student's work to understand how he wanted reports and labs detailed. This helped me get better grades in his class by understanding his expectations.
The lectures are good, concise, and informative. Heavy on simulating with Ansys, however he also provides very informative instructional videos to make it more beginner friendly. Very accommodating to students unable to attend class.
The lectures are good, and informative. It is conducted hybrid mode and professor shares recordings of lectures and tutorials which helped in doing assignments and studies a lot. Tutorials are on simulations with Ansys. Therefore, this course helps in learning Ansys as well.
The instructor provides a wealth of knowledge in lectures and effectively ties it to the lab assignments. He's patient, explains the material thoroughly, and is highly accessible during office hours and via email. I would easily recommend this class to anyone and look forward to taking another course with him in the future.
Excellent Professor. Lectures are amazing and if you miss them you can watch them on YouTube. In addition, this class only requires labs which Dr. Krasnok will guide you through using videos, and if you need additional help he will guide you outside of class. Great class and great professor. I will strongly recommend you take this class.
The recorded lectures gave me great flexibility, enabling me to successfully manage my study schedule and go over difficult ideas again. The Theory-to-Practice Approach, which linked theoretical ideas to practical applications, provided clarity, which I found particularly appealing.
Professor Alex Krasnok is an excellent instructor that truly cares about his students and will go the extra mile to help them. The professor had a lot of flexibility with the lectures having recorded lectures. The professor also employed great tools such as using Jupyter Notebook for the assignments. Definitely recommend taking this class!
Dr. Krasnok is an exceptional teacher with outstanding teaching skills. I am highly satisfied with his class and have gained a wealth of new knowledge from his lectures.
My class was supposed to be at a certain time and in person. However, he asked the class if they would prefer to reschedule the class time and do a live online lecture (with the lecture being recorded). This allowed us so much flexibility, it was great. He responds to emails within 24 hours. He also did not give exams, only lab reports.
course is online course, still has live lectures if enough attend. material is also available online videos. material is different than other courses and homework takes some time to complete. Professor is quick to respond and offers time once a week in lecture for questions
Good Professor
Better read and watch the lectures. If you only watch the lectures or just read, it won't help much.
Make sure to read the notes and to listen to the lectures. Just reading notes without listening to the lectures won't help
He is a fair grader who cares for his students to the point he lets them take an optional final in case they somehow don't do the labs. I never had to guess where my grade was coming from, and he has tutorials for all his labs. Take him if you want an easy A, assuming you do the work.
I talked to him in and out of class, and each time, he was helpful and cordial. The class was mostly labs with very good recordings with an optional final in case students were late submitting, which he then let you explain yourself. Overall, he is one of the best professors I've had at FIU, as he focused more on applications than tests.
Great professor, online lectures are very clear!
He is very, very clear on what he expects you to do for the class so it's impossible to fail or get a bad grade unless you're extremely lazy
His instructions are very clear on what he wants and expects from you for each assignment. Everything is extremely detailed on his canvas also.
Alex Krasnok makes a very complex topic such as quantum computing seem manageable and enjoyable to learn. He's a thorough professor and takes his time w the intricacies of the course. Very straightforward, very chill, i would definitely recommend.
Recorded lectures on YouTube are great for flexibility, give a listen before the semester starts. Learning through Jupyter/Python was awesome for hands-on practice during the lectures, which boosted my retention. Videos were engaging, and the work was meaningful yet low-pressure. Be sure to attend office hours for extra help! Happy learning!
He's goated
He is very informative
Just like his grading structure... Dr. Krasnok is a very straightforward! The recorded lectures were really helpful, especially if you like to go back and review. He explains things clearly and keeps it organized, which made the class feel manageable even when it got tough. As long as you keep up with the work, you'll do great.
Online class with clear teaching style and followable content. Enjoyed Jupyter notebooks, though if the class runnable notebooks for Quantum circuits were shared, would help—my errors persisted until submission. Strict no-late-submission policy, even for reduced marks and only one review session at the end of semester.
Professor Krasnok is great! This is the second class I am taking with him and he is the best in grading and teaching. His lectures are easy to understand and he goes in a lot of detail.
This course was flexible thanks to recorded lectures, which made it easier to manage time. The Jupyter/Python format was a nice change from traditional homework and made the material more interactive. The professor used helpful tech tools and kept things relevant. Great for self-paced learners!
Homework was tied closely to what we displayed in the lectures, i really had to touch up on my python skills to be successful. I enjoyed the course
Fair assignments and grading. Not an overwhelming class and no exams but helpful content. Extra credit opportunity also. 10/10 would take again.
Great professor tbh, quantum computing sounds like a hard subject but because this is an intro class it is actually pretty easy. if you use the class resources you should be good but there is plenty of documentation online to help you out. there was no test or quizzes
The course Intro to Quantum Computing sounds intimidating but Dr. Krasnok makes it very manageable. There are online lectures that are jam-packed with information, but he allows a very long time between each assignment, so you have time to understand the material. Python is needed for assignments but he provides lectures to teach you how to use it.
Straightforward assignment and instructions. Clear syllabus.
Professor Krasnok is a great instructor. The course is very lenient. There are only four homework assignments and a take-home final exam that relates to the homework. The professor is always willing to help and is available during office hours. His lectures are YouTube videos where he walks through the steps needed to complete the homework
The professor doesn't give a lot of assignments, so the ones he does give you need to do your best on. No test during the semester, we had 5 assignments and 2 participation grades.
Professor Krasnov motivates you to study the concepts. He is able to explain why each step matters in the whole process. I enjoy his homework and project based approach to the course. He always makes himself available during office hours for clarifications. Take if you are into programming in Python and want to learn more about Quantum Computers.
Prerecorded lectures with each module, that you can watch at your own pace. Assignments on Jupyter for each module that pertained to that lesson. I found his lectures really useful. As for jupyter notebook, love that program it works exceptionally well. I thought Professor Krasnok was great and the class is really what you make of it.
Professor Krasnok gives students a very fair chance at passing the class and explains concepts very well in his recorded lectures.
Dr. Krasnok is a very caring professor and is always willing to help out students during his office hours. He respects your time, even mentioning in his lecture videos that you watch at 2x speed as he talks slow for students to really understand him. An overall good professor with a very interesting class.
Excellent Professor. The class was very interesting. You will require some knowledge of phyton programming and some knowledge of Linear Algebra. I will take this professor for more classes definitely.
Pros: -Very well versed in the field of quantum computing -Prerecorded lectures allowing for flexibility -No heavy course load -Very clear expectations of the course Cons: -Does not respond to emails -No access to HIS Jupyter Notebooks he uses as his primary instruction -If you are not familiar with Python can be a difficult course -LONG lectures
The class lectures are online on YouTube so it's good to recap the lessons being taught. At first, understanding the jupyter notebook for assignments was confusing but with time it becomes muscle memory. Python knowledge is needed for assignments. IMPORTANT: find a converter for HDML to PDF for assignments.
His course mainly consists of long YouTube lectures and Jupyter Notebook labs. If you're good at Python programming, I think it's a useful introduction to Quantum Computing. Definitely would be wise to freshen up on linear algebra, matrix and vector mathematics, and physics. Not my favorite professor but not my worst.
His courses are well organized, and the materials are easy to understand.
Pros-Good thorough instruction of Quantum Computing. Pre-recorded lectures are time convenient. Moderate course load. Expectations were made clear. Cons-Lectures are on only YouTube so the commercials can get annoying and time consuming. Python environment for simulation was not easy to setup. Jupyter files used in lecture not provided.
Professor has good, informative lectures. The assignments can be a little difficult but there is plenty of time to complete them.
Nice professor, generous with grading points and time to turn in assignments. Uses Jupyter Notebook which requires some skills to install and some knowledge in Python to operate. Pay attention to the lectures as they explain certain concepts that are tricky without them. Would certainly take again.
very knowledgeable in his area of concentration really cares
The professor made the course easy to understand. If you are a full-time student and a worker, I would 100% take him.
He is great and you can learn at your own pace, which the modern study should be like.
His lectures are very detailed and he will always stop to explain things if asked. He has a lot of open help hours in a computer lab which I found immensely to complete my homework.
One of the greatest professors I have ever met. His lectures are very helpful for students.
Great professor and fairly straightforward class. Follow along in lectures and you will do fine.
The professor takes the time to show an interest in helping students understand what is required for labs, homework etc. The class on a whole was a good experience and overall the professor performs his role efficiently.
The content of the class is a great initiation for the master degree program in electrical engineering. You need to know the fundamentals of electrical engineering before you take this class. The lectures are extensive and the professor explains all the concepts in an easy slow manner. You need to study and the homeworks need time to do.
Super intelligent and skilled professor, plentiful with resources. You have to ask him for the information and he already has a resource for you. Lots of learning on your own and coming to him for guidance.
