I think the Dr. Cheroske is easy and clear to go in class and allways willing to help his students with any questions to make us understand. If I could take my next class with him it would be great.
The instructor was very funny which made the class experience more interesting.
The professor is very knowlegeable of the material, however, he could have engaged students participation more in class to put a twist in some of his lectures. In lab, he interacted with everyone and he is someone you can call on for help at anytime for clarifications, finding structures, etc!
This was a fantastic class that made me want to learn more about how the body works. There is a lot of difficult material covered so you need to pay attention and go to class to succeed, but atleast Dr. Cheroske makes it fun and understandable!
This class was hard, but he is a really good teacher and knows what he is talking about!
my teacher is an nice man and is very helpful I like the way he taech it is easy and so clear.I will tell people about him.I will take my next cless with him.thank you Dr. cheroske
Wow what a hard class. It was a lot harder than I expected it to be acutally a lot more detail and phycology than I thought there would be. The print out of the notes really helped and I was glad to have those and there was a lot of good study material for the test that i was glad to have. I am also glad there was the study lab it helped tons
Excellent instructor who will clearly and carefully answer each question. Not an easy class and material can be a bit overwhelming at times but he is good at spacing each exam making sure not to jam too much info in one exam. An ideal teacher.
VERY GOOD INSTRUCTOR THE CLASS IS VERY DIFFICULT. ALOT OF STUDYING. GOOD INFO.
This class starts out with an overwhelming amount of info. However, it becomes easier through the course of time. Also, preparing for exams is highly dependent on printouts. Mr. Cheroske makes Biology interesting in every aspect.
very fair, interesting, fun, easy to listen to, available to help
He is an awsome teacher. He relates topics to everyday things to help you remember them better. He gives some extra credit and we don't have to stay in lab the whole time. Great teacher! If your going to take anatomy, take his class.
i really enjoyed this class, the instructor was great
I was very glad to have Dr. Cheroske as my professor for anatomy. The couse turned out to be extremely complex, makes sense cause our bodys are too. He was able to relate everything to more understandable examples to help us understand the concepts. Class was interesting and he is helpful and easy to get along with.
Mr. C. was one of my favorite professors. You could tell he wanted all his students to do well and pass the class.
He is freakin awesome! he is one cool teacher, he made the class very interesting. "in essence" he is just a GREAT teacher! haha
Overall, a wonderful teacher. Very helpful in all aspects of the subject matter. I felt that he truly carred about his students success. He also kept us wanting to learn through his humor. Not a "dry" instructor at all.
Good verbal skills.
Although this class is difficult, Dr C makes it fun. He is a great speaker and very knowledgable about this subject. Very funny guy, I recommend this class to any one who is willing to study, because he will make you learn the material to pass.
Dr. Cheroske was good and he tried to keep things interesting
This class is very fast paced, yet surprisingly interesting. (just dont miss a day or you cant catch up!) I tried my best to keep on top of my studying, however that ended up being of no help when exam time came. The only thing I would recommend is that he helps us better prepare for exams with more chapter objectives. Overall he's really cool!
this guy is great! He got me to learn which is not easy. To tell the truth he gives you everyhting you need to pass the class: power points, tests he has given to other classes, and good review matireal. He will take the time to help, and he is very good with email. He makes it fun!!
he is a great teacher... must study ALOT to get a decent grade
Very hard class, but with a humerous, personable and knowledgable teacher it was great! Thanks Doc!
Dr. Cheroske was a great professor, he made a difficult subject very understandable. He is always helpful and takes the time to answer questions, either by email(quickly returns your emails) or in person. I highly recommend Dr. Cheroske. Thank you Jacki Skaates.
Excellent instructor, related text material to useful information, fun, energetic, intelligent beyond course necessity.
he really knows how to make it enjoyable to come to class.if i didnt have my kids, i would have made it to class everyday!!
He is a great teacher and i probably wouldn't have made it through this class without him
Best Teacher I have had at MCC so far....Honestly
very good teacher , very helpful. class may look easy but it isnt prepare to learn and read
Biology 202 will make you work no matter who you take it with. But Dr. C is more than willing to help. Not only that, his wit keeps the class and his examples interesting. Extra credit is given everywhere. He goes out of his way to make sure his students are knowledgeable upon completion of the class. Definite recommendation.
I agree, best teacher I've had at MCC. Takes time to explain, responds to emails, offers extra credit, and even is enthusiastic during lecture. Thats hard to come by with James and W. Thomas!
Dr. C knows how to keep the interest of his students by using real world examples and makes us laugh now and then.
Best teacher i have ever had @ MCC. Very helpful towards everyone in the class. Always gets grades back fastso you know how well your doing. You rock!
I Agree as well- probably the best teacher I've EVER had- he makes lecture interesting, knows his stuff, gives lots of extra credit. Truly wants his students to learn and succeed. Really cares about his students. Very laid back, and good sense of humor. Couldn't have asked for better!
For sure the best teacher I've had at MCC. He's very sure about the material he's teaching, keeps the class interesting, great sense of humor, very laid back, and he's extremely helpful in class and outside as well. 202 is straight up a difficult class but Cheroske made it awesome! I would for sure recommend him to anyone!
he was a great teacher, very very good. I really enjoyed the class!!!! DR. C is awesome!!!!
This class requires some time for self-learning but Dr. Cheroske is easy to reach if there are ever any questions about the material. I really enjoyed the physiology portion of the material and how it is integrated with lab. If you can pace yourself and is self-disciplined you should take it with this professor because you can learn a lot from him.
Ive had Dr. C for two classes now. If he taught any other classes I would take them too just for fun. I found it easy to learn from such a passionate teacher. If you have the chance to get in his class DO IT!
Very proactive and innovative...He tries to make the class alive...Approachable and helpful...HE ROCKS!
This class was really fun. Mostly all of it was clear. alot of info. to learn.
Dr. Cheroske is a great teacher with a wonderful sense of humor!! His class is always interesting.
I learned a lot, just wish exams weren't so hard. :/
Dr.C. is outstanding! very organized, structured, lecture with powerpoint notes. Very fair, no dictator here. Tests are hard, mixed-mult choice, short answer. on all stuff covered in class. If you study you'll do well. Very fun teacher with such a great attitude for students, offers a couple extra credits. If you can! take him for all anatomy 1&2.
Dr. C. was a great teacher. I have recommend him to future students. Dr. C. was very informative and explained Biology so I could understand the concept. Overall he was approachable and very knowlegable. GO DR. C.
He is a fun professor but his exams are ridiculously hard.
GREAT TEACHER ALOT OF FUN
Very entertaining and funny. Great teacher!
this guy is great! I have a hard time in school paying attention but he keeps things so interesting and he knows his stuff so well. We have great class discussions and he always has an answer for everything. I just love this class I am going to be sad when its over oh yeah its a lot of work but the objectives he gives for exams know those and your
terrible instructor who makes you feal like he understands through his jokes but he is really bad, be careful! This class is hard the way he likes it.
Excellent lecturer. Very helpful with questions in an online format. Very fair in his grading policies.
thanks....dr. c!!!!5 more points right lol!
Excellent teacher. Very clear and comprehensive.
Dr. C is a great teacher. Between my two A&P teachers he was the better one. He is very easy to understand, structures the class and notes very well, and is very well know ledged in this field. I would definitely recommend him to others thinking about taking the course.
The information was provide in easy to understand format. The used very good examples and knew the material very well.
WOW!!! Bio 202 in 5 weeks!!! Would not do it with any other teacher. Dr. C is easy to understand, funny, and makes class exciting. Not an easy class but very fulfilling. Test's were tough but doable. Great teacher, best I ever had.
Dr.C is awesome! i highly recommend him. he has excellent teaching skills. he takes the time to lecture and explain important concepts in class, encourages questions, and gives excellent review for tests. he offers extra creit, which is very generous! wish i could take all my nursing courses with him!!
he's cool. i like that he's funny and easy to understand during lec.
woowoo! Dr. C was awesome!! he made class interesting and fun! He is one of the best bio teachers i have ever had
Dr. C is the best bio professor I've had. He's great!
Lectures very well, easily understood. Expectations were high but appreciated. Good sense of humor. Would definitely take a class with him again.
Dr. C is seriously one of the coolest professors that I have ever had! He made learning anatomy so much fun and so easy to understand!
Dr. C is great, the best teacher that I have had at this school.
great instructor very helpful to all students. he will very approachable will answer any questions that you may have;also gives information on sites that may have information that will help students.
I really enjoined this class
Great class would reccomend to any one who needs clarity and percise understanding. DR.C was extremely helpfull and you can tell he cares about his students learning. Take his class for bio 202 you wont be dissapointed!
Great Teacher, funny easy to listen to. I learned a lot in a short period of time! Made a summer class "bearable"!
Dr. Cheroske took on an incredible challenge - teaching 50 students, in 5 weeks, a course that is normally offered in a 16 week term. There were no short cuts. He was thorough, helpful and patient beyond belief. His subject knowledge is extraordinary; presentation skills brought key points home easily; study materials were excellent.
Dr. C is a good instructor. He did a pretty good job of teaching this class in 5 stressful weeks. He kept me entertained and was helpful when needed. I would take a class with him again.
Once again,Freakin awesome! He makes learning fun, and you dont want to shoot yourself by the end of class. He is very clear in what he wants you to know, and is also a good speaker!so glad i got to have him as a professor! You have to ask him to show you his pictures of when his hair was long! And also keep count on how many times he says"in essence"
He is great Teacher, funny easy to listen to. I learned a lot in during that time. Thank you for your patience.
Very helpful and attentive to students!!!
This teacher is a great guy. If you work hard in his class you can get a A or B for sure. Make sure to study his lecture notes and really know your stuff. Would recommend to anyone looking to learn alot.
He made the class that was very intense enjoyable by being so knowledgeble! LOVED it! Thanks for everything Dr. C.
Great teacher! I learned a lot. I really enjoyed taking this coarse over the summer... a lot of info to cover but if you like studying on your own, at your own pace, and can manage your time~ this is a great class... Dr. C Is very helpful
I asked a lot of questions and he was always happy to answer. Good guy, clear tests, entertaining lectures.
Great professor, good understandable lectures, hard tests
Dr. Cheroske (Dr. C.) is an EXCELLENT professor. Anatomy and Physiology is going to be diffcult no matter who you take, but Dr. C. could teach it to a 2nd grader, take if from me, I'm at about that level. He relates every process to a real life situation which is extremelly helpful when it comes to exams. He gets an A+ w/ Bailey Nordin (mort sci)
Dr C is one of the best professors I have had. I have completed my BS in Elect Engr and so I have had a fair amount of schooling, but Dr. C would be at the very top in terms of his making the class enjoyable, having a vast knowledge of the subject, clarity in teaching, and willingness to always help.
Responds to questions completely. Always willing to help.
Great class!
I really enjoyed this class and I learned alot which will help in my chosen field. Dr. C. was a great teacher who took the time to make sure everybody understood the material.
he is an awesomly cool teacher, very helpful, and relates all info to everyday uses. i absolutly loved this class and as a nursing major it was very helpful.
he was so helpful, he answered every question, and made sure he was clear on everything
DR.C is a great teacher he cuts to the chase and tells you what you need to know.Bonus ? on tests help too!
Decent teacher. Seems a bit full of himself on occasion. Provides the needed material to learn the course. He needs to stop tampering with his own ratings on here. Even if they are reviewed they will come back Dr. C....Shame on you!
He is excelent prof
Great teacher! Excited about being at class and the subject he's teaching. Easy to pay attention and very helpful.
great teacher hard class but dr. c did a great job
Doctor C you rock man. Keep up the good learning enviroment
HE IS VERY WELL EDUCATED. HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT AND MOST IMPORTANTLY HE LIKES TO TALK ABOUT IT. HE MAKES THE SUBJECT FUN AND EASY TO LEARN. KEEPS YOU MOTIVATED AND WANTING TO LEARN MORE.
Dr. C, Is very helpful and is willining to assist you if you are willing to put in the work. He is very knowledgable and gives great lectures.
Very good professor, however if you don't study you will not like his classes.
Awesome. Hard though.
Statistically what are the chances that 5 students will rate you on the same day with glowing reviews? OK class, but this guy needs to come down to earth and stop using RMP as his ego booster.
He did a great job teaching and making class fun. The material was difficult for me (mainly the physiology part) otherwise I would have given a perfect score. He made it important to attend class, partially because he covered important topics (I didn’t feel like I was just listening to someone talk pointlessly)..But also just to look at him.
Great teacher, made the subject interesting and fun.
I love Dr. Cheroske! He is the greatest teacher. It's fun to go to class. He's easy to approach, and he is willing to help. You can ask about anything. I would recommend him to everyone! Yeah for Alexander!
Good class. Dr. C. has a tiny ego and rates at the speed of light. Geez, nothing to do but rate yourself on here. I feel kinda bad for you....
Dr. Cheroske is truly one of a kind. He has an incredible knowledge of the subjects taught and it is hard to ignore his passion for teaching. He organizes his material in a clear constructive manner that allows the student to excell if the effort is there. Most of all his ad lib humor and overall optimistic personality makes his class very enjoyabl
This class is pretty hard. If you don't study, you will not pass. His essay questions on his exams helped me understand material better and once you get used to lab practical exams, they are enjoyable.
Great class and great professor. LOTS AND LOTS of studying but very gratifying once completed. You finish this class learning a LOT of useful information! Def recommend Dr. C!
He's amazing and helpful and hilarious. He makes Anatomy not only interesting, but even a little exciting to go to, simply for the comedic aspect. He is extremely prepared and he knows his stuff. From his power-points, you get everything you need. I cracked my book only a handful of times throughout the semester for lecture and I got an A. (I
He is a great instructor. His class requires ALOT of studying. This class is just a difficult one anyways if you dont invest the time needed to really get the information. Overall, he is great, the class is just a challenging one!
i thought he was pretty awesome and had funny stories!
Thought he was OK. Seemed to like the girls alot more than the guys. Not fair in that way, but he's goofy.
He is a great teacher because he is animated and gives analagies to help you remember. You do have to read and study. The short answer essay questions are a bit hard. Love the class and I have learned and remembered alot from both semesters of Bio 201 & 202.
Excellent teacher. Very knowledgeable.
Dr. Cheroske is cool, helpfull, funny in lectures, and make some good chocolate fudge!! Definatley would take his class again. Can't wait for 202! Hopefully there is no synaptic delay going on. : )
He is a great teacher, bio 201 is not easy however. Plan on spending hours studying! if it does not interest you dont take it. Dr C will always be there to help you, he rocks
This class was actually really good. I would have wished though that lectures were live and not archived. That would have been more helpful to me.
Class was tough, no doubt. He gives you a lot of information to study, but I found it very useful. Dr. C really does make it interesting and will give you all the extra help you need. He is a great professor!
He was a very animated teacher and was very intersting. I never got bored in his class. He will work with you and answer any questions you have. Be prepared to study alot. If you study the Objectives and the Class notes you will do great. His Praciticles were very easy if you studied the material. Overall he is a good teacher.
This is a very interesting class! It was hard, but if you take the time to study, you can get a good grade. Plus, he keeps you interested in the subject.
His somatopod video with the rubix cube was really funny.
Dr. C keeps class entertaining...it's easy to stay engaged in his lectures. Practicals are tough, but probably are with any teacher!
If you don't take full responsibility for your education, you will not do well in Dr. C's class. He won't offer you a crutch to get through the class, but he will make learning fun while you're there.
He is a great lecturer. He will help you if you need it but his tests are harder than they need to be. The course takes an incredible amount of time and effort.
What gives with all the ratings on the same days? I came here to give an honest rating, but really wonder what's up? None of my other profs had all these on the same day, so it makes you wonder if he's rating himself. I liked him as a teacher, but question his motives on here.
A & P was a hard course with a lot to mermorize!
Nice teacher. He teaches at a fast pace and adds nonsense to lect. He isnt kidding when he says the lab practical will be like Christmas because he always adds extra questions that arent in the lab manual. The manual needs to be redone(not his fault exactly)he should cover everything we need to learn before we have to guess it ourselves.
He gives extra credit which has nothing to do with the class and a so called freebie at the end by writing in here so even if you don?t write in here you get it! HOPEFULLY THIS ANSWERS THE STALKER?S QUESTION OF HOW HE GETS SO MANY RATINGS AT ONE TIME! THE CLASS IS BRIBED!
I had been taking online courses prior to this and I could not have been more pleased with my experience in Dr. C's class. I learned alot and found him very funny and interesting. It was worth the 40 minute drive twice a week. He does give extra credit for things outside of class. Thanks Dr.C!
He is a nice professor. His class was super hard only because I just didnt understand the material but it wasnt his fault. he was even really understanding when I asked if I could withdraw. He has a kind heart and really cares about his students
Great teacher! Dr C is a lot of fun and makes it fun to be in class. The class is not easy though, you have to study hours and everything goes by so fast. But in the end you learn a lot!!
He is very nice and accommodating.
Fabulous instructor. Clearly explained material, provided extra credit opportunities, and answered e mails promptly. This is a very difficult class but he made it interesting
Would definitely refer to friend. Great class, very helpful
Dr. C was a very personable teacher who knows his stuff. If you learn the system and get it down good you can easily come down with a B if you stay to your system and study! But if you wanna A, you gotta put the time in, thats all im saying! His test are simple multiple choice and short answers and Dr. C is a really cool guy & replys to emails fast
talkative
Very good class! I didn't like the notion of having to take this class, but Dr C made the class entertaining and fun! Best of all he was fair!
Cheroske rocks! There's a lot of stuff to the course but he gives you everything you need to succeed. Totally fair with nothing out of left field.
His lecturers are entertaining and helpful. But is not very clear on what he wants you know on the exams. Lab exams were unorganized and he did not prep the students well for them. The questions were unclear. For the lecturer exams he has multiple choice, fill in the blank and essay which he grades very hard. But he is a good instructor.
Excellent teacher, very clear.
Best teacher that I have ever had!
Fabulous instructor. Clearly explained material, provided extra credit opportunities; however, exams are very difficult. Need to work extremely hard to gain points from him. Overall, execelent professor and interesting course!
Dc. C is a fair, and funny and is easy to get a hold of when you need questions answered. The power points for each chapter were very helpful. He made 202 interesting and fun.In reguards to the appearance section, Dr.C I had to put something! Thanks for a great semester.
His lectures made complex issues easy to understand and still remember things he said now more than 3 years later. This is one of the best instructors ive ever had... especially in bio
I expected more. Imean look at the ratings. Kind of an arrogant jackass.Uses Powerpoints exclusively because he really does not know the material. If he couldn't read the provided powerpoints I am not sure he could teach biology above a 6th grade level.Made me want to leave community college (although its closer) and go back to the university.
Online class. Do not take. HARD class! Should not be offered online. I thought I knew A&P, he showed me otherwise. Weekly assignments were easy. Tests were so extremely hard. Not an easy class. Great guy. Very accessible.
I took his hybrid class last semester. hard work but if you study a lot you will do well. His tests are challenging but fair. He wants to make sure you really know the material and aren't guessing. Dr. C is easy to listen to and often very funny in his lectures. He takes complex ideas and breaks them down into managable pieces.Take his class!!!
Dr. C is great. He is very easy to get a hold of if you need him. Answers emails right away. He is also very open to talk to students about their grades and ways to improve their grades ( study tips and such). I would take him again.
Dr. C. is a great teacher, very helpful and resourceful. He expects you to know everything taught in lab, but he is always available for questions. The study lab has flexible hours, it also helps to get prepared for an exam. Dr. C for Lab and Rosie Magarelli for class was a great combination.
Great teacher, really knows his stuff, very helpfull, expects you to know everything, but will do anything to help. Always returned emails in less than 12 hours, always available for questions
Excellent teacher. Very helpful. I only had him for my Lab, not the lecture. He is fair and does not pull punches with his tests. Very clear on the material that is covered. Extra credit is sometimes given. I would take from him again.
Dr. C is the absolute best anatomy teacher in the entire department. He knows the material extremely well and explains everything thoroughly until you get it. He is really funny and keeps class interesting. If you're serious about the subject, I would definitely recommend him. He's tough but fair and you'll walk away knowing what you need.
TEST WERE EXTREMLY HARD...I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIS CLASS. ESPECIALLY IF YOU AIN'T GOING INTO A HEALTH FIELD.
Love Dr. C. Very helpful and accessible. Makes coming to class fun. Makes class materials easy to use PowerPoints, etc. Makes it easy to succeed in his class.
Dr. C is one of the best professors I've ever had. The class was not easy but he was very helpful and he wants every one of his students to succeed. Took him for both BIO 201 and 202 lab. :)
Marine Biology. Very helpful, tests were slightly difficult if you didn't study. But he literally tells you what is on the tests. Great personality which made the class ten times more interesting! Definitely would recommend Dr.C. :)
He was an awesome teacher!! If I have to take another class were I am able to have him as a professor I will for sure!!!
I am not a Science major, but this was a required class for me. Not an easy class-you MUST read the text, watch video lectures (by him), do quizzes (2 per wk, but easy) & engage in online Q&A (but discussion not mandatory). Exams are taken on campus and 1/2 MC. I worked HARD for my C+, but prof is nice, cheerful and knowledgeable. Would take again.
does not round grades even if you have a 79.8% hard to understand he acts like he cares but doesn't. wouldnt recommend him to any one.
Easy teaching style, takes test questions from lectures and data banks available on quizlet (search large phrases of online quiz questions). Dr C is very helpful and experienced as a teacher. I think he's the best bio 201/202 at MCC.
I actually liked this class even though it was hard, almost like micro anatomy. There is more focus on lecture than lab. The only requirement for the lab was to take a quiz once a week. There is no homework, 4 exams and a final. But you do need to read the book, view lectures and STUDY!
He's a great professor, but this is still a tough class. You have to study. A lot. He'll let you know what will be on the exams. If you're going into a health field, you should learn all this stuff anyway.
Hard class! Will be hard with any professor, but he is really good and helpful. Requires a lot of studying!
Dr.C is a hard teacher...be prepared to put in a lot of study time and know all topics well enough to write them out as an essay question answer on tests. He knows his stuff, tries to make class fun and overall this class was one of my favorites i have taken yet! Put in the time and you will do great in this class!
His class was definitely not an easy class. Although I really enjoyed his class and looked forward to it everyday. Reading the book and showing up for class is a MUST if you want a good grade. He is also very clear and makes something that's very complex to something that's easily understood. I will definitely take my future A&P classes with him
Dr. C is a great teacher. I started with a low D but ended up with a High B. The material isn't easy but he provides allot of study tools to help you outside of the classroom. He keeps you awake during lecture and the labs were fun. I highly recommend him,you will enjoy the class!
Funny and knowledgeable guy, if you have the time to read the text and study you're guaranteed to get an A in the class. Extra credit was made available to the class. Online quizzes, lecture/fish tests, open book lab practicals.
Overall he was a caring instructor. The lectures were through and the reviews were helpful. Seems like he rushed through making them. Some errors in online reviews. Tests were hard. The lab quizzes were taken directly from quizlet website and seemed like his test questions were too. I wish he had made his own tests. Annoying clock in lectures
Great professor! He is committed to helping student succeed. He is always available for questions and help! A rare find in science faculty! Take any course he offers!
Great teacher, very knowledgeable. The test are pretty hard, you have to really know the information to do well in this class. There are review guilds online, but the test have fill in the blank and short answer questions that really test your understanding of the information.
Dr. C is awesome. Lectures are made fun by him. The material is tough, but if you study, youll get it. He will go out of his way to make time to answer any questions you have in class or out of class, you just have to ask and be proactive. I wish i would have taken him for bio 201. Take his class, you will not regret it.
Dr. C is AWESOME! i would not take 202 with anyone else. he really cares if you understand. he works hard to make sure things a clear in his lectures and lab. you need to study though this is not an easy class.
Dr C is incredibly knowledgeable about this class!! Amazing professor. However, he is incredibly difficult. Gives out study guides, which are 3-5 pages long. Might as well read the whole chapter. Expect 2-4 essay questions for each exam worth 4-10 points a piece. Tough teacher but, extremely nice and tries to definitely work with you.
If you want to learn about anatomy, take Dr. C. He makes class interesting by telling stories. He is a great teacher, and funny. He gives extra credit, his tests are tough, but just study and you will survive.
Did the hybrid bio 160 class not too bad. Most of the tests were online except 4. He does offer extra credit
Great professor! The material is tough, but that's expected. He relates concepts to real life situations which really helps. All of the quizzes are online and there are 4 tests. You will need to do a ton of studying, but if you are confused he is more than willing to help! Offers extra credit to boost your grade. Take him!
Look up questions from the quizzes on quizlet. You will do well on the mc portion of the tests if you do that. That is what I did to study. Participate because it is graded. Overall he is a good teacher and far easier than my last one. Enjoy the class!
Such a great professor! Very clear, very funny. If you ask for help, you'll get it. He definitely wants his students to succeed. There are a lot of assignments that are fairly easy and there are extra credit opportunities. Would absolutely take his other A&P classes.
Best Professor At MCC Red Mountain Hands Down! I highly recommend him. His tests and practicals are hard, but they should be. His lectures are great, and you can care that he really knows his material. He cares about the success of his students, and wants to help everyone succeed. You can tell teaching and biology are his passions, and it shows.
Study, study, study! Bio 202 is a tough class! Dr. C. wants you to succeed and has a ton of resources available to you so that you can. His lectures are very entertaining and he really takes a difficult subject and makes it as accessible as possible. You will know the material when you leave this class! I would take any class with him again!
He's a wonderful person & is the most approachable teacher I ever had. I never asked so many questions in a class before. He's very fun and amusing also. The tests are hard but if you study a lot you'll do well. He's an awesome teacher and explains in very tangible ways. All his lectures are recorded online so you can listen again if you need to.
Amazing teacher!! He tries to make lectures interesting. He is very personal and he's willing to help you succeed. He is very helpful in lab too. He goes over all the models and answers any questions you have. This is my second time taking BIO and doctor C is the best comparatively. I would definitely reccomend doctor C over anyone else.
AMAZING GUY/TEACHER HANDS DOWN. He is very knowledgeable about what he teaches. He loves to help his students. He is very personable too. He calls you by your name and is very aproachable If you need any help. He is also cool about leaving lab early, as long as you come for participation. Rather than that, he is arguably the best bio teacher.
I loved his class, he is a great teacher and it shows; he is passionate about the subject. His lectures go straight off the book and he trys to make the content really clear.
I loved his class! He makes you work for your grade but thats the same as any other hard science class. He want you to succeed, and there is plenty extra credit opportunities 15 points max and he gives a grade for participation too which is 20 points.
He is an Awesome teacher, I took his online Bio 202 class and it was very helpful because and can go back and reply his lectures. He also gives his in class students the ability to view his lectures since they are all recorded. He is always very helpful and willing to meet you during office hours for any additional help.
Dr. C is a really nice and smart BIO teacher. You can tell he has a passion for it. No HW for a hybrid class and online exams are video recorded. Communicate with him if you are a working student, he understands. He let me take an exam past the due date once. He has tons of study material for practicals. 2/5 exams have 20 pts of essay Q's so study!
Great professor and class. This is definitely a tough subject and feel like Dr C was very helpful when I needed clarification. He has office hours and is very responsive to emails. He also gives a heads up about what might be essay questions on the test - very helpful! I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a great Bio202 teacher!
Dr. C is the most amazing teacher you can ever take for BIO 202. He provides a lot of study material and resources. He is very passionate about teaching. You cannot believe that he will make time off the office hours, at home to have a virtual meeting at 9:00pm. Very humorous, work ethic motivates him to help. difficult class, best teacher.
Okay at teaching hes not a nice, or personable person. He is not super helpful or understanding with technology not working with a hybrid class. NEVER TAKE A HYBRID CLASS WITH HIM. WORST
Dr. Cheroske makes a tough subject like A&P so much fun to learn and does help you when you need it! I would take him over for all my science classes if I could. Amazing lectures make you want to learn and he always get back to emails promptly. Def recommend.
Great teacher but he wants you to learn on your own terms not his so lab was a little vague unless you did your own studying. We hardly ever turned in the lab assignments. He has online help and videos and all sorts of things to help you but you have to have the type of personality to study on your own more than getting the info from the teacher.
Cheroske was an amazing BIO201 teacher. He knows his stuff and is willing to help the students outside of the class. Be prepared for short answer questions on his exams. A hard class so you must work for your grade. There is extra credit opportunity to help boost your grade.
Don't take the online five week course intro to anatomy. Just don't do it to yourself. Dr. Cheroske is pretty funny but it doesn't make up for the amount of work you have to do (at least ten assignments each week). Must buy the book AND the lab manual AND watch the lectures to pass. DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE if you are not going to be a doctor.
He wants you to be successful!
This class is a hard class and if you want to pass you have to put in hours and a lot of hard work, but he helps you so much and wants you to understand the material as well. Come EARLY/ON TIME to every class! He gives you a lot of extra credit and chapter summaries to do to get extra points. I am so happy I took him, I learned alot and will be bac
Dr. C is a wonderful and funny teacher who's always willing to help out his students. BIO201 is a tough class anyway, but he makes expectations for assignments very clear. The class consisted of 4 lecture quizzes/exams/practicals, a final, and chapter summaries. The lab manual is required, and I would really recommend having the textbook.
Dr. C is a great teacher! I took him for both of my A&P classes at Red Mountain. He has a hybrid class that was amazing and worked with my schedule. I excel at lab and not lecture, so I got a C. Dr. C really cares and helps whenever you don't understand. He gives your participation points and Lab is mandatory. He also gives some extra credit too
Dr. C is a great professor. He genuinely cares about your success. He provides plenty of study materials and provides realistic recommendations for how you can best succeed in the class. He is very responsive to emails/willing to meet with you outside of class which is very helpful. I will say, the exams are hard and the course is study intensive.
very difficult class. study guides are not all that helpful considering they do not match a lot of the stuff on the exam
Hes a really nice teacher but taking this class online is just a beast, information is just flung at you in high quantities and youre expected to memorize it.
Lecture Summaries, Lab Quizzes, Exam Q&As, and 4 Exams (+ a final). The professor is really caring and wants you to succeed. He gives out sooo many resources and is very accessible via email. The exams were very straightforward. His lectures explain the material in a way that's easy to understand. Would recommend using a textbook for more details.
Online: extremely disorganized. I think in a classroom setting he would be great, bc its clear he cares and knows the material, but his study guides do not help (everything in lecture is free game). He also puts lab material on lecture exams (contributing to the disorganization). I still managed to get an A in an accelerated class, but you earn it.
Dr. C has a good habit of answering his emails right away even at 2 am. If he is still up, that is. He is very willing to work with you, to help out. Dr. C has 3 extra credit assignments but he doesn't round up.
Dr.C is one of the best professors there is, he is extremely accesible and is always willing to help you. He gives you tons of study resources and is very encouraging. I thought BIO201 was an extremely tough course and it requires LOTS of daily study and review time. Stay persistent and try and study every single day. I cant recommend Dr.C enough!
Dr. C is a great professor. His BIO201 class was great and I loved how he handled Lab and lecture cohesively. This is a lecture heavy class, so you will watch hours of lecture videos multiple times. In order to get an A you have to be studying all the time. He is very funny and his lectures and tests will make you laugh. The book is free online!
This Bio class was incredibly run. The way Dr.C ran lab and lecture cohesively was great. However, this class is lecture heavy, you will watch hours upon hours of lectures. He does say some comments throughout those lectures that will make you laugh though. The book is free and its online. I took the 8 week course and it was fast pace but fun!
His lectures did not match up with the exams; you're better off reading the chapter in the book that matches up with the topic. His lecture exams sometimes covered lab material that should only be on the practicals. He wasn't clear or consistent, which made it harder. I think he would be great in person but not meant to be an online instructor.
My thoughts on this class are that it is a doable course if you set a lot of time to study for it. Most of my lecture exams were never higher than a C because of question that were not covered in his "study guide." He is a very caring instructor and does his best to help you but be aware that you need to pull ahead in practical if you want to pass.
Dr C is a great teacher i took bio 201 with him but the lecture exams are hard and the thing that helped my grade with the lab exams. The objectives didn't really match his lecture exams but he really is helpful tho.
Dr. C is an absolute joy and funny. I took the 4-week BIO201 entirely online, at that pace it is a very challenging class. Dr. C is very responsive. Both the lab and lecture give you very clear guidelines on what will be tested, and Dr. C is VERY generous with giving partial credit for answers that aren't quite right but are in the same realm.
He is very knowledgable, but gives insane study guides that do not match the test. Gives way to many materials that you can choose to study from, which makes it confusing for his tests. Tests are hard. They include fill in the blank questions and short answer. 10/10 would not reccommend.
Loved him and his lectures. Always willing to help outside of class. Extra credit available. Lecture exams were hard for me. Study guide was all over the place. It probably help me narrow things done.
By far my favorite Biology Professor at MCC. His online lecture videos are easy to follow. Use an iPad or computer to practice labeling anatomy structures (work on spelling correctly). Would recommend using his online flashcards posted on Canvas. Take the lab quiz over and over until you filter through every picture.
Make sure you go through the objectives for each chapter whenever doing the summaries, that helped a lot narrowing down some of the information. It is a tough class but if you stay on top the lectures and use all the review information given to you, it will be much easier
I did the 8week online. Spent 14 hours a week MINIMUM on this class. Prof C is a great teacher but will include info from the textbook on exams, not just info from lectures. You have to understand the material. Take the practice exams!!! Focus on the exam objectives for notes. Fair grader. I don't recommend the accelerated class if grade matters.
Seems genuinely interested in the subject matter and helping students learn. Do the assignments and ask for help when you need it, and you will do well.
Dr. C was a great teacher! He gave out a lot of assignments and offers extra credit. His exams are hard, but I felt prepared for success.
Best instructor I have ever had!
