I don't actually think the lectures are that bad in here, they are actually pretty helpful combined with the book. The problem is the quizes, half of which are essentially trick/semantic questions, and often contain problems not really covered by the homework or lecture. That + no curve = AVOID!

While his lectures are monotone and just slides, his grading criteria is really lenient. An 85 counts as an A and an 80 for an A-. His quizzes are also the bulk of the grade (54%) so if you do good on the quizzes, the final becomes much more tolerable. His quizzes are just MCQs that follow the HW. (Same with the final). IClickers also count for EC.

The grading policy is nice but exhausting: midterms (54% total, lowest dropped, mostly hw and lecture q's ) & final 26%- you can mess up a couple of times but you're taking a midterm almost every other week.
