The class is very boring and repetitive and he does require you to go but all I care about is getting that A and he makes it easy. 5 essays and every single one you can have him read before he actually grades it. He makes a day for it.

Awesome teacher! his lecturs are all straight forward. If u just follow his steps and what he wants to include in ur essay u'll get an easy A. u have to have 900 out of 1000 to get an A but I got a 1010 out of 1000 in the end lol. He is not picky at all on the essay if u follow what he asked for ! take him !

He was an EXCELLENT teacher. You know exactly what is expected of you in this class. He even gives you ideas you can use in your paper. I would not consider him an "easy" teacher who let's you slack. You will learn. You will understand. You will enjoy this class and this professor. Out of all my teachers he is my very fav!

He talks in circles quite a bit. Every paper I did my best but get mediocre grades. He is a whole lot better than Hopper, but he is TOO critical when it comes to grading. You can choose your essay topics in this class unlike 1301. Overall he is somewhere between a c+ to a b-

This was an easy A for me, but I've always been strong in English. He was very helpful in teaching how to write a good, college-level, professional paper. Before every paper is due he will review your paper with you and tell you what you need to fix. Good, easy A (if you do the work), and clear teaching!

He is an extremely good guy! He loves you tube and Wikipedia, you will see what I'm talking about when you take his course! He seems like he's all business but he's pretty cool. I would love to put him in my pocket for future essay writing corrections. Take advantage of the days he offers to review your rough drafts.

Professor Kurian's classes fill up a month in advance for a reason. He is an outstanding professor who brings class to North Lake College. It is an easy A as long as you do the optional rough drafts for every essay, and show up and turn something in on test days.

Took him for 1301 & 1302 over the summer. great teacher and overall, a nice guy! very helpful if you do your part. to the point and has a unique sense of humor as well. take him!!

Prof.Kurian is the best teacher I have had! This was my second time taking Comp II and it was SUCH a difference from the last instructor I had. Make no mistake - the class is a lot of work and he is very strict on grading. But he tells you EXACTLY what and we wants on the essays. He does make the class interesting and funny too!

Kurian is a great and easy teacher. I took him for a summer class and it went by super fast. If you turn in a rough draft the day before and correct it then you get a 100. Super easy grader. Smart, Funny, Well dressed, Family man, and engaged the class to participate and get the best grade possible with super easy Extra-Credit assignments. Super easy teacher. I took him during the summer 1 session and got an A. There were only 5 essays and he looks at your rough draft the day before it is due so that you can get almost a 100 on the real assignment! IT'S A MUST TO TAKE HIM!

This is an American Literature class, so it is not suppose to be easy, but he will look over your paper and help you before you turn it in, so if you fail it is your own fault. I had a death in the family and worked with me, and for that I am grateful. I got a C, and it was my own fault, he would have reviewed my rough draft before I turned it in.

He is very helpful, if you want to study.He clearly say what he want and how he is going to grade. If you follow his instruction, you would not have any problems in his class.

HE is a straight forward teacher and gives you all due dates from the beginning i never turned in a rough draft and passed with a B but i believe if i turned in rough drafts i would of gotten a higher grade good teeacher overal

He is wonderful teacher. He gives you what he wants from the beginning and tries to be fair as much as he can.It is a little bit boring class but overally, he is very goid teacher. If you fail his class, it is all your fault.

I took Professor Kurian class fall/13, it was a fast track class, meaning the first half of the semester was DWRI 0093 and the second half was ENGL 1301. There were a few days that attendance wasn't required. Its really up to you if you want to pass his class, he will give feedback, but you have to ask for help if you want it.

I was in a Lec SP'13. He is a very logic and being sarcastic sometimes, but NOT rude at all. He gave us fair grades + extra cr. In lectures, showed us funny video clips which helped us understand more. NOT a hard class. Just follow his instructions step by step, turn papers on time, then you'll make A. He has no such accent when speaking.No worry;)

Professor Kurian is very clear about what he expects. You have to work in his class, but the papers a far less shorter than other professors and you KNOW what you need to do. There are 4 papers total (3-4 pages ) and a few homework assignments.If you work hard in his class, you will do well and also learn a bunch in the process. Highly reccomend!

Easy teacher, as long as you did you work. He has rough draft days the class before a paper was due. I never attended and still got an A, just make sure grammar and commas! are used correctly. His final is super easy.

I took 1302 class in Spring 2014. He is very helpful, well organized, his instructions are clear and gives examples. I really liked the class and his teaching. The class was entertaining but educational. I highly recommend to take his class.

Fantastic professor. I took his online class and loved it. He was very helpful and his syllabus spells out everything for you. It is very easy to get ahead in the class. Overall great class and teacher. Definitely recommend!

He is the most awesome teacher I met till now. Never met any teacher as clear, humorous,helpful like him. I really admire him. Although you gotta work hard and do as he say to attain the grade. If you do as he says you will get A and you will learn a lot too.

Very, very Tough and picky grader. Good guy, but VERY picky. I left class 30 mins early, and i didnt even think he knew my name, but he went and deducted half a point. Attendance is mandatory. He has a review session for papers, which is helpful, but hes just too dang picky! Other than that, great guy.

He is a great teacher! Very helpful, will give you opportunities to have him look over your paper before you turn it in for a final grade. Clear lecture, and at times funny. It is English snot to exiting but he makes it easy to understand. Everything is on PowerPoint's.

He is very blunt and straight forward about his class . He sticks to the rules he sets and does not budge from them. It is an easy A as long as you follow the rules.

He is very helpful teacher. He has very strict rules but if you follow the rules, you will have good grade. He has so many rules because it could make fair grade for everybody. If I need more English class, I will definately take him again.

He has his own set of rules. Follow them. You'll pass with an A. Make sure you submit the draft on the draft submission day. And also make sure you attend the classes because he deducts marks for being absent for more than four classes.

I strongly dislike English, however professor Kurian really made it interesting, fun and easy.

Strict teacher. He has his own set of rules (# of lines per paragraph, weird). Strict about attendance, you lose 1/2 point if you're late. He's sarcastic and witty. Shows funny videos in class to illustrate points. Lectures seemed long and boring but that goes along with ENGL classes. Won't take again unless I have to because of his weird rules

He's very strict about format/lines In paragraphs. Lectures are straight forward and to the point. He gives you everything you need to pass the class. Follow what he wants and you'll get an A. I would take him again.

I took his writing 1301 and world lit. class and they aren't the most exciting but they help you. He has a class before each paper where he will read your work and tell you what to change. That means you can get an A on each piece. He is very fair and quick in grading. Not the easiest prof, but not the hardest. don't really need the book but helps.

He talks a lot during his lectures. Does not give out many assignments. There is an essay due about every 3 weeks. He has a optional class day to look at students rough drafts and tells you what to fix, which really helps to get a good grade on the final draft.

I took professor Kurian for spring 2017, and he is great I was not looking forward to literature at all. With him I truly did enjoy the class and looked forward to his lectures. It is an english class so expect to write and he is particular with lines used in his essays. However, his essays are easy and not very long other than the research paper.

Easiest class I've ever taken, he is very funny and lecture is not boring. He's not tough on grading at all, just show up and do the essays and you'll pass easy A.

Its sad that he do not teach Engl 2326 or 2311. If you are looking for a English Prof. take him you would not regret it.

I absolutely loved taking Kurian's class! He genuinely wants all of his students to succeed, and it shows during his lectures. He gives tons of examples of do's and don't's for essays, and sets aside "rough draft" days where he will review the essay with you to ensure you get an A. I highly recommend taking his class!

I would definitely say to know MLA format like the back of your hand. If you are unfamiliar with MLA, get the textbook and read it before the course begins. Also, go to the rough draft days. I loved the class.

Prof. Kurian is the best English professor in North lake college. All you have to do is follow his instructions, be sure that you are PRESENT!! in the rough draft class, because he personally checks your essay and tells you what should be edited in your essay. After editing the essay turn in... You'll get an A. You'll learn a lot in this class.

So you want to take English 1301? You've came to the right professor. All you have to do in this class is to show up, and do EXACTLY what he says, and go to the rough drafts days. That's it you'll get an A. There won't be an easier English professor than him.

(ENGL-2332 ) CURRY-AN is great. Show up, pay attention, and take notes. He gives u so much information for ur assignments. Study his notes and that's the test. Checks draft essays prior for mistakes . Don't miss class bc he will take points off. Gives so many examples, answers any ?s u have, accurate grader. 3 Exams, 2 papers, and an optional final

He is one of the best professor I have taken so far. He makes everything very clear. But you need to be attentive and ready to work for it. Without your own effort it might be difficult but there will be nothing we can say against the professor. He will do best from his side all you need to do is to follow the instructions he says.

He lectures very cleary and tells you how it's needed.

Took his Eng1301 and Eng1302 in the summer for dual credit. Honestly just dont be lazy and youll do well. 10/10

He is the best writing teacher for me. His lectures are very clear and practical. Thanks to him, my writing skill dramatically improved. He's very organized, so study schedule and grading criteria are very clear. Whenever I ask questions by email, he quickly responses. After submission of the essays, he always gives us detailed feedback.

Just follow the outlines and you will pass with an A. Do not procrastinate as he does not accept late work!

He is most helpful professor I have ever chosen. He is always there to help you to get good grades( if you want). There are criteria need to fulfill, If you work hard you are likely to get full marks. You need concentration.

Professor Kurian is hands down one of the best English professors North Lake College has to offer. If you're taking ENGL, do yourself a favor and take both 1301 and 1302 with him lol. He's a great person and his class is not that hard, of course you still have to follow guidelines but it's the usual stuff.

He gives really good feedback. And the lectures are really long online, but they are extremely helpful. He replies to his emails really fast too. It is an easy class, but he doesn't give it too many extra credit opportunities. At most he'll give out one extra credit assignment.

Professor Kurian is a good teacher but hes VERY strict on his late work policy. He wont even accept assignments a minute late, which is pretty harsh in my opinion. So be warned!

Easiest class ever! There are 5 essays and he puts up a video on how to write each one. You can submit a rough draft for him to check over before you submit ur final essay. Pretty easy grader and essay topics were very easy. You can pass this class with an A with minimum effort.

Great professor!

Took engl 1301 for a 16 week course. Super light workload, only one assignment due per week. There were 5 homeworks (SUPER EASY) and 5 essays, plus midterm and final essays. Essays were 2.5 to 4 pages on the easiest topics ever. He posts videos for the essays to watch. Only one extra credit Super strict on MLA and doesn't accept late work.

He is the best professor I've ever had. Very easy syllabus only 5 essays and 5 super easy homework assignments. He responds to emails quickly. he is the perfect professor for English.

He is a good instructor but at the same time, a bit of a task master. No concessions and no compromises in whatever rules he's created for the class. His explanation of the topics for the essays were quite clear and well-detailed.
