Definitely took some getting used to with the accent. But he's a great professor, always willing to help. Always says "This stuff is really complicated but also very simple guys" I'm taking him again for Calc II.

Hard to understand at first but you get used to it. Will work with you on homework, shoot him an email and he will let you to do homework late with full credit. I did plenty! Important Dont be afraid to ask questions he will barrel through an entire class without a breath if you dont stop him. I will take him again. DONT BUY BOOK buy mathlab alone

Great professor. He will help you if you need it. Just email him. He has a strong accent, but it isn't a problem. His favorite saying is, 'this is very easy stuff'. I failed two tests out of four and still got a B.... he offers a lot of extra credit.

He was great! I swear it's fool proof! If you study and do your homework! You only have to do 80% of his homework, on my math lab, and everything over is extra credit! Homework is worth 40% of your grade!Also his test are 30 questions and you have to do 20. If you do the extra 10 , its extra credit worth up to 5 points! I totally recommend him.

Great teacher. Yes, he has an accent (Ukranian-ish), but honestly, it doesn't affect his teaching. He gives you the chance to get 150 points on each test and it is so easy. People with 50's on tests still got A's because of his grading style! Don't buy the book, it's free online with MyMathLab and he only uses it to pull examples in class.

Amazing teacher! I hate math and never thought I would pass statistics but ended with an A. WOW. I suggest everyone takes him! Really hard to find a teacher that actually knows what they are teaching in Florida these days. My favorite teacher for sure.

Easy Teacher... Just go to the lab and get clarifications. He's problem is that he's so smart that he forgets we are not at his level. But he helps alot! his mathlab online is worth 50% of your grade do them all and your good to go. He gives you example of his exam. Study and you will be fine.

He's a pretty good teacher, I personally like math and I think it's very easy so I didn't have an issue with him. He's extremely smart and can help you with a lot in mathematics and non-mathematically problems. Great Professer, his notes were so great and the homework on mylabsplus was so helpful I didn't even bother purchasing the text book that cost $175 and ended up with an A. If you get an A in the class you don't have to take a final exam, plus for all test you get to have an index card to help you if you need it. I recommend this professor :)

I HATE math but I loved taking it with Sakaruk. I got an A in this class and I'm normally really bad at math. He gets you to think about what you're doing and he's very helpful with questions. He lets you have a handwritten notecard on the exams and if you have an A, you don't have to take the final.

I have taken him for college algebra and stats and he was great! Offers extra credit quizzes and really wants everyone to do good! NO BOOK needed he will give you notes and you have to do all your homework on mylab so stay on top of it, it is worth alot of your grade.

The class isn't easy, but he made it much better than any other professor would have done. You HAVE to do the homework to learn the material. I hardly showed up because he would confuse me (he's fast) but with the homework you learn EVERYTHING! This class was great. He's a good teacher, but can be a little hard to follow because of his accent. You can use notes on the tests. He has all the directions for your calc on the portal. You can get away with missing class if you take advantage of all the notes online. This is the first time I've gotten an A in a math class. Ever. Took him summer.

Stats is a hard class. 4 tests and 4 projects The concepts are difficult to grasp and he has an accent which can be hard to understand sometimes. However, he'll help you if he can and will curve tests according to class average. Take him.

At first his accent seemed impossible to understand but after the first class it was easier to follow along. He was a great professor who took extra time helping students who needed it. He gives you a manual on how to use to graphing calculator and lets you use notes on the test! I would highly recommend him to anyone needing to take STATS!

Professor Alexander Sakharuk is an awesome teacher. He is very helpful. All the homework and quizs are on my math lab plus so make sure you do them all. If you need homework extended for a few days just email him and he will extend it for you. He wants all of his students to learn and to pass. He is very helpful. I highly recommend taking him.

He is from Russia so his accent is a little heavy but still understandable. Curves every test you have, quizes are online but if you do homework some of the questions are similar and gives ten attemps on the quiz to get a high score.If you get an A before the semester ends theres no final! okay so let me start off by saying yes take his class. I took his call spring of 13, I did not show up to call everyday but I still passed. He gives quizzes every class they are short and easy, the test grades are curved so everyone can pass. he does not call attendance. Online homework is a must. He gives extra credit, extra help and make up test

He takes a otherwise difficult subject and simplifies it so that a 5 year old can understand it. He is known being "the easy guy" to take stats with even among the tutors.

Professor Sakharuk is an awesome professor. He is understanding and very reasonable. This does not mean that you should slack off. It is important to keep up with the homework and quizzes. If you have an A by the time of the final you are excused from the final exam. Take his class!

This class is tough but if you do your homework on time, you will pass. The TI83 or 84 calculator is required and the teacher uses it for everything, which was great in my opinion. You are allowed to bring a sheet of paper for notes for exams and if you have an A by final, you are excused from the final. Great class!

Great Professor! Despite a strong accent he is easy to understand. If you show up, pay attention and you will pass with no problems. Only downside is he does not respond to emails but he is in class early and will stay late to answer any questions.

He was my professor. It is really easy to pass his class if u just do you homework and take the quizzes. His lessons were very interesting, and he puts the power point slides on canvas for you to print out and follow along.

You are not making a mistake by taking Professor Sakharuk for Stats. I had him for a half semester summer course and even though the class had a test every single week he made us feel prepared. If you get an A you don't have to show up for the final. Having a TI-84 calculator is a must. One of the best professors I've had and he's really fair.

He truly wants his students to do well. Very clear in his lectures. Prepares you well for the exam. Must have ti84 and purchase math labs for homework and quizzes. Extremely fair grading. 4 class tests and the final. Drops lowest test score.

Overall it was a decent class. Stats is not an easy class, but he tries his best to simplify everything. Tests are multiple choice & he curves them so it would be pretty difficult to fail. PS: you get extra points on final average for completing all of your assignments and quizzes on MyLabsPlus.

Super terrified going into this class seeing as math is my biggest struggle. Professor S is determined to make the class as easy as possible. Great lectures and clear explanations. He does have a rough accent but after the first class you don't notice it anymore. He is very accessible and wants everyone to do well. I would take him again.

Good professor, really knows the material. He wants you to pass his class and attempts to make it as easy as possible for you, however, you do need to practice, practice, practice. As long as you take the time and do the math, you'll get a good grade. Fair grading on tests, and also extra credit on every test.

There is probably no way I would have passed stats without this professor teaching it. Make sure you take really good notes, ask questions in class, and practice everything until you get it right. It's not easy, and as a non-math major I found stats really difficult but put in the work and got an A.

I took statistics and passed with A. This professor is amazing and so smart. Is a lot of homework, but good practice for exams. Usually the homework are more difficult than the test. The tests are not easy, but he curved them. If you have an A average you do not have to take the Final exam.

Prof S was great. He knew the majority of his students were not math majors and really did his best to help us learn how to solve problems using the calculator. Do homework and quizzes as soon as you can after lecture and it'll stick! He curves the 4 major exams and I ended up passing with a 94... didn't have to take the final.

Professor Sakharuk is incredibly fair, kind and compassionate. He understands that many of his students are not math majors and gives plenty of opportunities to improve your grade. Though his accent may be difficult for some to understand, I found him perfectly fit for lecturing. I was able to follow him and he made sure everyone else could too

I loved this class & professor! It was the easiest class I have ever taken. He curves all the tests, is very patient, and gives you all the PowerPoints he uses ahead of time. The class usually got out early. Going to class is important (but not mandatory) to learn how to use the calculator (I recommend the TI-84 vs the TI-83).

I really enjoyed this professors class. Four tests and a final, ten online quizzes and around twenty homework assignments. Be sure to complete the quizzes as you go through the chapters or else it will be extremely difficult to complete them at the end. Memorize the calculator functions and only worry about what the tells you and you will pass. :)

Don't get fooled just because he curves tests and lets you use notes. Accents mean nothing. If YOU DON'T attend to class, do your HW and quizzes online or pay attention in class, then the notes you use for your tests will mean nothing if you don't put an effort. Trust me, I only passed after after the pressure I had from failing the first two tests

Professor Sakharuk is a great statistics professor. Just do the Pearson homework and show up to his lectures. Four tests, ten online quizzes, twenty-five homework assignments, and if you have an A by the end of it he wont make you take the final. Pro-tip: Don't be cheap! Buy yourself a ti-84 calculator; ti-83 is for plebs.

He's a great professor for those who struggle with math. His tests always have 10 extra questions you can skip or do for extra credit. Make sure you go to lecture since he teaches a lot of calculator shortcuts related to the homework and tests to give you more time. He will allow you to skip the final if you already have an A. Great professor for people not so great at math. Homework allows infinite attempts. 10 online quizzes also with infinite attempts. Tests are curved, for example on a test with 50 questions it was graded out of 35. Notes are allowed for the tests. If you have an A after test 4 you do not need to take the final. Memorize calculator functions to pass!

He is a good teacher, has the experience, works through problems in class, and grades really well. You gotta keep up with the homework and quizzes online, but he gives you the entire semester and infinite tries. Also if you have an A by the last test, you don't have to take the final.

Don't let the accent turn you away. He is a great professor with a good understanding of teaching and statistics. He may come off as harsh, but he really just wants to make sure you understand what is being taught. Straight to the point, No BS class. Loved it.

If you need statistics, you NEED to take it with Prof. Sakharuk! I have always struggled with math but I passed his class with 102%! His accent is hard to understand at first but you will get used to it. He is great at teaching & encourages questions. All of his tests have extra credit and if you have a 90%+ after the 4th exam, no final for you :)

What a wonderful professor. He makes statistics very simple. He does have a strong accent when he teaches, but youll get used to it. He teaches you how to use the calculator and makes sure the students understand everything he is saying. If you have A at the end, you dont have to take final exam. One of the best math professors.

This professor gives his students every opportunity to succeed. I have had issues with math in the past (I had to start at the bottom prealgebra) and I have found his instruction to be extremely helpful. Heavy accent but you get used to it. MUST HAVE TI-84 graphing calc. Heavy weight on test but curve built in. You have all semester to finish assignments but, don't wait last minute. Don't have to take finals if you have an A prior to finals. Must attend class to understand the PowerPoints otherwise they will make no sense. Easy if you put the time.
