Very nice and patient person. English is not his 1st language, so when you ask him a question you have to make him a drawing. He is always available before and after class. Gives extra time on the tests. LOTS of homework on XL. Overall, very good professor for those that (like me) are horrible in math.

Despite the fact that 0950 is one of the most difficult classes in math, I am very to take this class with professor Torgov. His explanations are very clear and simple. He is always willing to help to any student with academic different backgrounds. I highly recommend him and plan to take his 0960 class.

He's a nice teacher but his accent is confusing. He will try to explain things to you, he doesn't like people who are funny and will separate people that talk during his class. He can be hostile, but his grading system is fair, you get partial credit on stuff. ALWAYS DO THE MATH XL HOMEWORK. 50 points is 50 points.

Well hes not a bad professor but he does give ALOT of work for an online class. The usual was anywhere from 3 to 9 sub-chapters each with 20 to 30 homework problems each. The exams are definitely challenging and taken in the school. He is REALLY nice and very understanding when it comes to having work and I feel as if I could have gotten an A.

I like this professor, and recommend him. I took hybrid class and thought it would be difficult. But it was not so. He is very helpful when someone has a question or doesn't understand something, and always ready to assist his students with questions and issues they may have which are related to math.

instructor has a Russian accent but he is understandable. I am glad I took the summer class with Alexander because he is helpful even after class, he explains everything throughly and give his students worksheets to practice in class, if you want to demostrate the work on the board and you get it right he will give you extra bonus points.Thumbs up!

I took the hybrid class, professor Torgov covered every lecture with the best explanations. I was out from school for a few years and math was not my favorite subject but professor Torgov made it easy to understand. Not missing any lectures helped me a lot because I wasn't missing any of his tip, key points and advice. Wonderful professor.

It was great experience for my first online class. Class is not easy but not difficult. I would take his Precalculus class.

Professor Torgov was very available, which has not always been my experience with online classes. He always gave feedback, and lots of positive reinforcement. Homework and quizzes were broken down in such a way that it was a fairly even workload from week to week. He gave study guides for tests, and there were no surprises on the final.

Torgov is nice and soo helpful. I took the Hybrid, which was only 50 min so it went by fast. His study guides are just like the test so that's helpful, but he gives no study guide for final-tells you to just study previous test guides. He also does not return tests, so you literally go off of random guides. Managed to get a B on final, surprisingly

Summer Blended Class: Sped through material. Saving grace for me, was the PDF guide and MyMathLab Study guide. Partial credit for tests was great. You cannot see your graded test unless you go to his office, cannot take home, or even write the specific problem down you had an issue with. Chapter tests harder than the final. Nice guy though.

This professor work in class matches the homework, quizzes and test. Easy lectures to follow. Home work is online , but your notes will defeintly help you. Even though, his English isn't that great, his board work was very clear . He is a fair grader and I would defeintly take his class again and recommend for others to take his class.

I had MATH 0950 Hybrid with him. It was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed this course. He gave a lot of examples. The structure of the class helps greatly in learning. Tests are not difficult. All homework and quizzes online.

Statistics 1. The teacher arrives early if you have questions from homework and stays behind after each class for about an hour to answers questions afterwards. No question is dumb. May talk fast at times but this professor does his best to have his students learn. Quizzes are just as planned and explained. Got an A.

This class was taken last summer as part of my graduate program. It was very easy to pass this class. Most stuff was simple and given online. Professor was very helpful.

He even posted his weekly lectures online, which provided step-by-step instructions on various problem solving. He is clear with his expectations, but he is also caring. Overall ok class, no AI checking and no proctoring. Book and excel documents with pearson are available which can help in doing the work yourself. If you need extension, will provide them and need basis with SAS accommodations.
