She is neither a great or terrible prof. At first, she was very confusing, but learned to adapt to the class and was a fairly good lecturer. honestly, it's a hard course and you have to work for it. there is A LOT of information to take in during the lecture (lecture notes and ppts are all I used). Dr. Fiocco really does want everyone to succeed (posted links from students for the textbook, passed everyone on the midterm, and happily clarified hard a concept for me multiple times).

Mixed feelings about Dr. Fiocco. First half of the semester, her lectures were so difficult to understand I mostly relied on the textbook and taught myself. The midterm was fair IF YOU STUDIED HARD! Second half of the semester, content was easier so I didn't have issues with lectures. The final was a bit harder, but the assignment was marked easily

This prof was the most unaccommodating during the COVID-19 crisis. Making online zoom meetings have mandatory aspect (quiz that was only open from 8am-2pm when original class time was 2-5pm) and making the final exam 110 multiple choice, forced answering of each question one at a time, no option to go back or forward. Fake thoughtfulness. AVOID!

I have a bg in bio so the content of this course wasn't so hard but def challenging. Dr Fiocco wants more more than memorization - she wants you to fully understand a concept through + through. Lecture content is heavy + dense. Difficult to schedule time outside of office hrs but she was happy to clarify anything during lecture. Enjoyed this class!

While this prof is a good choice, she has dense and heavy lectures and is somewhat unfair with tests. Thankfully I passed her class and her exams. The assignment was marked fairly and saved me and also there was an extra 10% for coming to class which also saved me and boosted my grade. Did not matter if you got the answers wrong on class questions.

If you have psych and bio background or have an interest in those subjects, this class is pretty easy. She does make the assumption that you have a basic understanding bio concepts, but shes really nice if u ask for clarification. you also get a free 10% just by showing up to class and taking a quiz (not marked).

Dr. Fiocco is a great prof. She is really kind, cares about the wellbeing of her students, and wants everyone to succeed. She is also very thorough in her lectures. That being said, the course I took was VERY content heavy (not sure if this is her specifically or just the curriculum), so get ready to work HARD. Her tests are also quite tricky!!

Prof. Fiocco is alright. What's NOT alright is her lectures' length (2.5 hours on average). The fact that she goes in random tangents during them and repeats concepts only exacerbate this problem. With this in mind, if you're taking this course, make sure to do the lectures ahead of time.

Avoid this course and prof at all costs. To sum it up efficiently (something Fiocco seems to struggle with) Fiocco is a researcher, not a professor- I can't stress that enough.
