Dr. Foran is a great professor. She really cares about her students and always answers questions and guides you through them. The class is an easy A as long as you go to class as there are participation grades.

Dr. Foran is so funny and sweet! As long as you go to her class you'll be fine. Lots of table group work which makes it soooo much easier. No textbooks or anything. She is awesome!

Dr. Foran is one of the best professors I have ever had! She is very clear and concise in her lectures and is VERY helpful when it comes to explaining anything you do not understand. She is terrific and will help your transition into college level math so much easier!

I only went to class for the first week and after that only for the exams and still got an A. Overall pretty nice professor, very accessible outside of class and helpful. She gave exams back for corrections and you would get some credit for the questions. I would recommend taking her class 100%.

She is a great professor. She loves to teach and her lectures are very clear but get repetitive... but it's math so that is good. You don't even need to show up to class of you feel comfortable learning it on your own and the homework is very easy. She gives a test review as well which is very helpful.

Dr. Foran is the perfect math teacher for every kind of student. Her lectures are extremely educational, and she is very receptive to in-class questions. She adjusts the class pace to best fit the students, provides tons of examples, offers helpful study guides, and hosts ample office/review sessions. Her tests are fair and she offers corrections.

Dr. Foran was the sweetest professor. Her tests were always straight forward, and her study guides/ homework questions really prepared you for the questions asked on the exams. Her notes were the best because you could print them out ahead of time, and she didn't go too quickly through them. You'll pass if you do all the homework and go to class!

Lectures are great because she explains concepts and works problems in a way that students can easily understand. Dr. Foran genuinely cares about all her students and has a funny sense of humor! Serious the best PROF ever! Made math super easy to understand. Class is not mandatory because she posts the notes online after but I would encourage you to go because it helps with understanding the concepts. Labs, quizzes, and hw are not worth much but could bring you to the next letter grade. Final test grade replaces your lowest test grade.

She was an overall amazing professor. There's a lot of homework but its easy. She hosts a week-in-review but I never went because I didn't need to. She gave us small breaks during lectures when she could tell we were burning out. She responds to emails fairly quickly. 100/10 would recommend.

Dr. Foran is easily the best math 151 professor there is. She made learning calculus feel much easier and fluid than calculus should be. Study the past common exams and you will get an A. Dr. Foran genuinely cares for her students and wants everyone to learn. I promise you will miss out by not taking Foran!!! Also, sit in the front of class!!!!

This amazing woman is the best teacher I've ever had hands down in my whole academic career. I had her for Math 150 and 151 and we are now very good friends. I spent so much time in her office asking questions and she was always there to help. ALWAYS! Tests can suck (but math does) but she gives you everything you need to know. MAKE ROOM FOR HER!!!

Dr. Foran made it worthwhile for me to schlep myself out of bed at 8am MWF across campus to Kyle Field. She is an incredible prof who knows the names of any students who have ever spoken to her as far as I can tell. She is willing to sacrifice personal time to take care of her students and her students respect her because she clearly respects them.

Legitimately the best prof that I have ever met. Always accessible by email and OFFICE HOURS ARE YOUR BEST FRIEND please go and be friends with her. She is so easy to work with, and you can genuinely tell that she cares about you. Week in review is also an amazing resource, utilize it!!!

This is a fairly easy class. The Cengage HW is easy but is so hard to use. The exams are not bad. If have some idea about what's going on in class and do the past exams, you'll be totally fine.

The best prof I've ever had. Attend office hours and ESPECIALLY week in review. This is not an easy class but she is benevolent in how she grades and how she assigns work. Will round high Bs to As. If you don't get her for a prof, find someone who has her office hours and she will help you even if you're not in her class (but don't be rude or lazy)

I strongly suggest that if you can't register for Foran, wait until the next semester to take math. She hands down the best Math 151 prof at A&M. From the way that she teaches the material to how she is as a person-- she is amazing! Dr. Foran validates every question asked by her students and makes herself available frequently! She's also FUNNY.

I love Dr. Foran; I would take her class again in a heartbeat. She is likely the best MATH 151 prof, her class averages on the common exams are often higher than all the other profs. She makes herself extremely accessible outside of class, and if you introduce yourself to her she will make it a priority to remember your name. She is a great prof!!

While I was admittedly ashamed of entering my freshman year taking Math150 rather than 151 or 171, Dr. Foran is an incredible professor and I'm glad I got the experience. While I already had the essentials of this course, her lectures solidified all concepts. Only complaint is that sometimes her answers to student questions aren't what they asked.

Foran is a really cool and nice professor. As for the class MATH151 is 80% exam grades. Luckily your final exam replaces your lowest exam grade. Also every past exam is posted with solutions so it's a really easy to pass class regardless of professor. You don't need to show up to any lectures, just the quizzes and labs.

I took her classes in the fall and she was amazing. Her lectures were very well planned out and are directly related to the homework, quizzes, and tests. Additionally, she responds quickly to any questions and is available after class. The only issue was learning the math lab for her class taught by the TA, but again he was a good teacher. 10/10

Has easy to follow lectures with premade notes where you just follow along. Asking questions for further clarification with her is very easy and most of the time I was able to get out of math 151 around 10 minutes early with her wrapping up class early as well as her giving short breaks during class whenever everyone seems burnt out.

Professor Foran is incredible. Such a kind and caring professor, but also funny. She teaches the material very clearly and the homework and tests match what she teaches in class. The lectures are entertaining, and she really cares about every student understanding the material, not just passing the class.

Had Professor Foran for MATH 150 + 151. Best professor I have had by far. Lectures are well paced, organized, and relevant. Test material was finished a week before exams to give students time to study. She knew most kids by name. Don't be afraid to go to office hours she is super helpful with any questions and actually cares about you succeeding.

I absolutely loved Dr. Foran! Math 151 was a little bit of a struggle for me, only because I had never taken Calculus before I attended TAMU. Dr. Foran is an amazing professor who genuinely wants all of her students to succeed and knows many of her students by name. The class itself is very exam heavy, but study hard and you should be just fine.

Professor Foran was a lifesaver! I had attempted math 151 the semester prior and had a sucky prof. I had to drop it and retake it this past semester with Foran and she helped me a ton! Lectures are important, so attend them. She looks for the class for feedback, like if we look tired, she'll encourage us with an activity, or reiterate the topic.

Great professor, Calc is a hard subject but she was very good at teaching. However the year I took math 151 they decided to make the exams way harder than in previous years which failed a lot of people in her class. However, she is a good professor so I would recommend taking her.

Dr. Foran was an incredible person and lecturer. The only heavy thing about this class is the homework, especially the python labs but that is not her fault. She even added extra office hours from her own time just for those of us struggling with python. Take her! you wont regret it.

Dr. Foran is so understanding. MATH 151 is the first class I had ever struggled in and she understood my circumstances and helped me make a plan to get through it. I took Dr. Foran for both MATH 150 and 151, and she is the best! She does her best to make lectures entertaining while also doing her job as a professor. She truly cares about the success of her students.

This is the second semester in a row with Dr. Foran and man am I lucky. She teaches math that honestly just makes sense. I have probably never had a better math teacher in my life. The concepts of CALC1 are hard and the quizzes and labs assigned honestly shot down my grade much lower than any of the exams have. All in all great teacher for all math

Dr. Foran loves math so much, she's able to spread her love for math over to the students. She is such an amazing professor and she really wants the best for her students! She teaches so so well and she is able to make little jokes that help you remember formulas and stuff in math. She is honestly so amazing, take Dr. Foran if you can!

Dr.Foran was absolutely amazing. She will make you look forward to coming to class and truly does care about you and anything you have going on. Dr.Foran is understanding, but is also stern on deadlines but gives plenty of grace. There is a lot of homework, but it is doable and not terrible

I took her this spring for Calculus, and she was great! She posts both her blank and finished notes, but I highly recommend going to her lectures and following along (she also uses iClicker). The only thing I disliked is that there were some problems on the homework that weren't covered in class, but use your resources and you'll be fine.

An excellent lecturer, takes her time explaining problems and answering any and all questions before and during the lecture. Homework took a while but was beneficial, and tests were difficult but with adequate time spent studying I had no problems scoring well on them.

Dr Foran is an amazing prof, she makes the class very easy to understand and her lectures/presentations are based around the homework, so as long as you attend lectures, you will succeed in her class. Also utilize her office hours, and be prepared to practice, she gives plenty of time between exams and is lenient.

Her lectures are perhaps some of the ones I enjoy the most, despite my disdain for anything math. Each unit she does has a section of homework which takes about an hour, but by God, you better seriously study for her exams if you want to get anything better than a C or low B

Great lectures, tried to make the content as easy to understand as possible. Unfortunate she had lectures at HELD, which the room can make anyone fall asleep regardless of class. HW never took more than two hours, TA I had was excellent at his job and made learning sympy bearable. Exams were difficult, but if you did your work you should do fine.

She made lectures extremely digestible. Notes were also super neat and worked out on OneNote. Exams are common, so study past exams. Very nice person and patient during office hours when explaining the material. Would definitely recommend.

She's a good professor. There would be times that she would cover things quick, but I think that's just because of the nature of the course. She broke topics down in way that was easier to understand, and she never minded answering questions.

She may be the best math teacher I've ever had. Explanations are concise, and the lectures are exactly what you need for the homework. The tests are a huge part of the grade, but that is the Math departments doing not her. If you have the choice, always pick her!

Have come to the conclusion it is pretty hard to get an A in a math class after taking her twice. Dr. Foran posts all her notes online after class; however, there are no Zoom recordings, so attendance is important if you want to hear her explain each concept. There were three night exams, and each was very difficult if you didn't study frequently. Easy to pass the class if you do all the Python labs and stay attentive for the quizzes.

Great Professor, especially for math. She gives good lectures and the notes are recorded live on a class notebook in Teams/OneNote. Foran is a very outspoken and extroverted professor. She loves participation, though it doesn't count for extra credit, she gives a lot of feedback on questions in lectures, and she is very transparent on any issues or heads ups through her emails.

if i could have her teach me all of my calculuses i would. she is super sweet and knows her stuff. homework actually helps if you do it and if you don't it won't tank your grade. tests are hard though so beware

Dr. Foran explains things thoroughly and the WHY behind math, which as a non-math person really helps. She's also a very personal professor. There's two or three short homeworks a week, but the exams really determine your grade.

She's a pretty funny professor and is very helpful. Recitation is half weekly quizzes and python labs. Lab is all lecture and exams, with 3-4 homework assignments a week. Overall not too hard if you use your resources and put effort into learning the material.

Professor Foran is probably one of the best math professors I've ever had. She explains topics on a conceptual level that is easy to understand which makes the course a breeze. If you have her as a professor enjoy this class because there isn't many professors that teach like her!

There are weekly quizzes in this class, and if you don't do well on them your grade will suffer. There weren't any extra credit opportunities until the final. The professor was really sweet and she took the time during her office hour to explain where I went wrong in my steps and gave me tips on how to avoid making the same mistakes.
