Geez, very strict with grading and policies.Don't be late to class and copy the answers out of the answer book for homework because you either get a 1 or 0 on your work depending on wether all of them are right or not. Go figure. But she's new like someone else said, she MIGHT get better.

Good teacher overall-uses powerpoint for notes, and she puts the notes online for ya. Like the earlier reviewer said, you can do the homework, but you only get credit if EVERYTHING is right on it. everything. But other than that, she has a quirky sense of humor, can keep your attention, and is better than Davis in my opinon.

Great teacher! She is always willing to help in her office hours. Gives 6% extra credit to overall grade if you are willing to do the work required. Funny powerpoints. Homework and attendence help your grade a lot. Homework answers are in the solution manuel. She wants you to do well, which is a lot more than most Chemistry teachers. TAKE HER!

While she moves at an overal fast pace, if you're brave enough to ask question she'll stop and answer them(no matter how stupid you think they are). She does use powerpoints, but they're generally sprinkled with comic relief making it not so bad. Dr. Stenson is a solid teacher for chemistry, and I would readily reccomend her over any of the others.

To succeed in this class - DO the homework! She gives you points for it anyway! She will take problems directly from it for tests. Also, all her fill-in-the-blanks are directly from her power pts, which you have access to online. She even gives you old exams 1 day ahead of the test. Pts for SI sessions, extra credit. Spend the time and it pays off

Tests are not difficult if you do the HW or pay attention in class. HW takes a lot of time and is not worth many points. Group project, 7% of final grade, is awful...worse part of class. Labs take the whole time but are not difficult. She is helpful outside of class but not much during lecture itself. You do learn a lot useful for MCAT!

I have no interest in chemistry whatsoever. Dr. Jackson was my teacher for CH100 and I found that it is a little more bearable of a class when you have a good teacher. If I had to take another chemistry I would take her again. Pay attention in class and actually do the homework and you probably won't have too hard of a time.

Visit her often to let her know you are dedicated. She'll state a fact or ask a question. Just say "yes" to everything for class pts. "Are we warm and fuzzy?" "Quickly!"

Dr. Stenson is one of the worst professors I've ever had. She belittles her students in class for not understanding material. She is unreasonable by not allowing students to take notes their own way during class. You will be drowning in homework with inconsistent due dates. Getting an A is doable, but the amount of work will shorten your lifespan.

Dr. Stenson's course is definitely a college level class and requires work. She assigns daily homework/reading assignments which can get tiring, but can be done.
