Very good guy, his accent might be a little hard for some people, he raises the bar higher then suppose to but at the end of the day it works to your advantage b/c you leave with a tons of new knowledge. Great guy, always available and welcome to help you out with anything during office hours

Great teacher gives help to anyone who wants it. he saves all his notes and tests on blackboard and lets you use book or the internet to answer the questions

All his notes are in blackboard, can be download for study. Fair prof. and his quizes and exams are not hard, but a little tricky, so need to read carefully. I took him this summer, and he gave the class open notes exams.

40 % counts for classwork & quizes(7 of them) and 60% is final. All multiple choice. Uses powerpoint every class. If you try to learn the eco, you will but if your lazy to follow each each subject, it wont flow. Nice guy, a little accent but probably better than othe professors.

if u want to learn something you will. you might have trouble with his accent. for me it was not a big problem. very fair grader. def. take his class. if u want to get an A take him in winter or summer

Extremely helpful, always wants students to come to come to his office hours to ask any questions they might have. He does have an accent, but it is not THAT hard to understand him. He knows his economics very well. I thought he was a great professor.

Price Theory is hard no matter which professor but he makes it interesting and keeps you involved. Keeps you full class and isn't too hard to understand. Uses Blackboard and was always willing to help. Do homework and pay attention and you will be good to go.

Great Professor, really wants his students to learn. Very easy to do well in the course if you concentrate a little bit. Extremely fair exams.

I have to this say Economics is a very hard subject to understand. But the professor goes above and beyond to help his students understand the subject. He is very flexible and is willing to help if you show interest. I wouldn't hesitate if I needed to take one his classes again.

Prof Voicu was extremely passionate about the subject which made it a bit more bearable going to his 4 hr class. Although he would be more than happy with helping any of his students out, it was the most challenging classes I've taken so far. Gives so many hw qts each week, but they help you so much on the midterm and final.

Prof. Voicu is a great professor. But if you are planning to take his classes during a short semester like a winter or summer let me tell you that you'll have to work super hard for that A, and trust me you will be stressed. Also he is willing to help you if you are having problems in understanding the material. I would definitely take him again.

Professor Alexandru Voicu is an amazing professor! He really cares about his students and wants us to get the best out of everyone. I took him for the summer session, and he really loves statistics and theory! Be prepared to do intense homework assigned every day (7 in total) with 3 parts each. If I could I would take him again. He is lenient!

I have taken Professor Voicu twice already and have already signed up to take him a third time. He is extremely helpful and willing to work with you in and outside of class in order to make sure you understand the material. I would highly recommend to any Eco student.

I took Econ 323 during the winter and it was non stop work for 4 weeks. But I'm glad because he is very hands on and helps you out. Offered to stay after class and hosted review session, on his time. Midterm and final was open book. Difficult class but overall he's a good instructor. I'd take him again.

Straightforward class. Discussions and homework due every Sunday. Never had any problems. Most likely will get an A.

Overall this class was not hard,He doesn't care about attendance, The class is boring but it is a boring subject, Very easy to pass with at least a B, There is homework due every Sunday but its easy.

Professor voicu is a fair grader. Heavy on the notes but you'll learn a lot. He also goes into detail.

Prof Voicu is one of the better profs in Econ dept. I would not hesitate to take him, as his grading criteria is clear and class is easy to pass if you show up. Do all the hw because it counts a lot towards final grade. Only midterm and final exam, and lets you use notes on exams. I recommend him for Econometrics and intermediate micro.

Good professor. Knows his stuff. One of few professors who actually teaches Economics properly at CSI. Please take him if you can, youll learn a lot and his system will allow you to learn a lot without losing your sanity.

Good Professor, a lot of HW, Midterms and Final is straightforward as most M.C. questions come from the H.W. Overall this class is good, and I recommend taking this class.

Woah what's with the bad reviews? I took him for Econometrics, and even though I struggled in this class his grading is very fair. Homework is 40% of your grade which includes multiple choice questions, problems, and a data analysis section using stata. His exams were exactly like the homework. He also curves your final grade!

I was someone who usually finds it hard to learn through online lectures, However, Professor Voicu made everything clear and easy to understand. Tests and HW aren't easy but just listening and reading the content he provides you can def pass the class.

A brilliant person. I have respect for CSI because of professors like him. His extensive knowledge in the subject is grand. Dont take him is you want to pass through college. After finishing his class youll be on another level!

Be ready for a loooot of hw, but Professor Voicu is very understanding. One midterm, one final. Preview of the exam really helps. Just a lot of work , don't expect an easy "A".

Took him in the summer. He was a great guy tbh, Just A LOT of work. There were 2 tests that had 3 parts to it. MC, word problems, and STATA. Make sure you pay attention to the reviews and hw's and actually understand it or you'll be lost on the tests and quizzes. Don't take this if you are a full-time student with 4 other classes to worry about.

This is a hard class, but he tries his best to teach it. He gives a lot of homework, however he provides you with the answers, so there's no way you can do bad on the homework. Plus, the homework is a big portion of your grade, which will boost your grade. His exams are exactly like the homework. However, it is a lot of studying, but it is doable.

He is a good professor, however, it is a lot of work. The only good thing about this course is that there is no way to fail unless you don't do the work. Its not hard to fail, but it is hard to get an A.

Nice professor. But, his assignments are just a lot which is very time confusing on top of other class. His lecture notes are a lot because they are 2 hours long. However, they do prepare you to do good in the class, but he can cut down on some things and make them as extra credit instead of fully counting because it takes up too much time.

Overall his class is difficult as it is a 300 level economics course. However, if you put the time in to study for his class you are able to get an A. He does give a lot of quizzes, but he also gives extra credit. If you do take his class set aside time to study each week for his course.
