Absolutely amazing professor I am taking him for BSC2086 lecture and lab. He has been very helpful in both classes, you can tell he wants all of his students to pass. Don't be fouled into thinking its an easy class right of the bat, keep in mind that it is an anatomy and physio class, it is only easy if you study hard, it is not for slackers.

Learn the parts of the body and the functions by law of "C" de cañon and u will pass with an A. He's a good teacher and encourages the student to learn. take him if u are a warrior of science.

Dr. Pino was amazing! He is incredibly experienced in this field and a great teacher. Encourages students to learn and is easily available to discuss grades, makeup quizzes, etc. I wish I would have taken him before.

His lab realies on the lab book. He will send power points to your email. Very interactive and tests and quizzes relate to the exact material taught. Also adds application discussion which is useful.

Pino is awesome...READING IS A MUST if you want to get a B or higher in this class.He gives study guides prior to the test. He is really helpful if your having trouble with something. He keeps you entertained (he's hilarious!) and makes the material interesting.

Dr. Pino is an excellent teacher. He is professional and willing to help and give extra credits on the test and work papers to help raise your grade. This is a hard class because of the content, not the teacher! If you are not ready to study hard you will not pass his class or any other A&P class. I would highly recommend this professor.

This for the LAB. Pino is a GREAT professor and person. He'll help you whenever, explains things clearly, gives no homework, just like 5 or so GROUP classwork. The practicums are intimidating but they're actually pretty easy! Don't believe the haters on here. Pino #1 in MDC.

He is very helpful and push the students to learn. What happens with this class is that it is very hard and there is a lot of content,but believe me he is the best. Dr. Pino really encourarges his students to learn, he calls us his science warriors. He is by the book, he does not curve grades and expects you to memorize word for word what you study in the book. I was two points away from an "A" and he made take the final. Which then I still ended up with a "B" in the class. overall not a bad professor, study!

OK here's the scoop: I am a father of 3 teenagers, work 40 hours a week (night shift, mind you), took his classes in the mornings right after work, and I aced both anatomy classes and labs with Dr. Pino. He is demanding, and you have to do A LOT of reading, but this is what this class is all about. If I could do it, anyone can do it; no excuses.

Biology is a difficult subject if you don't study don't expect to pass this class. I recieve a 'c' not because I didn't study but because the course itself was difficult, It require a lot especially if you have children,and work full time. I Think thisProfessor teaches his class as well as he could even though I pass with a 'c'

okay, let me start with - HE WROTE THE BOOK. so therefore, he is V E R Y detailed. He is a great professor, and is very helpful but you must know all his material. The powerpoints are extremely boring and not much help. He has lecture notes that help alot for the exams- the exams are challenging; so studdyyy.

Prof. Pino is an absolutely great professsor. very thorough in his lectures. Also has good powerpoints.I used the powerpoints online to study for test and aced them all! Community service is only about 15hrs so dont complain...Also he is quite a sharp dresser so I rated him for hotness.lol. Nice guy overall :-)

I can't say enough about this professor. He is great! I had him for both BSC2085 and BSC 2086. He prepared me for what was yet to come. Now I attend the medical campus and trust me everything in that book is essential. His love for medicine makes him an excellent instructor who puts much effort and clarity into every session. This is a review for BSC2086L. Dr. Pino is awesome. At first I was very intimidated by him - I had heard he was difficult. I quickly began to love his teaching methods. You really learn. There is a quiz every class, these quizzes can be difficult but they help prepare you for the practicums and help you really LEARN the subject. Highly recommended.

He is a great professor! He tries to help you attain the highest grade possible. However, he does make you work for it. It's anatomy so by nature it isnt easy. Easy prof. Makes you do a couple of assignments thoug. 5 test plus a final (if u have an A then u dont take the final) 1 20Hr service learning project, at home ch. test, 1 group paper. All pretty easy, Got an A.

One of the best teachers at MIAMI DADE! if you need to take anatomy hes your guy! as long as you study and do all the practice tests you should be fine, his tests arent that hard but it is science afterall so you do need to study. Great professor! He keeps the class intersting even if you don't like anatomy because he uses practical, real life examples which are very helpful to relate things. Uses slides made by himself off the book. You can study from his slides or the book and you will pass.

(BSC 2085/2086) Professor Pino is the best teacher at MDC. He is a Pediatric Doctor, so he gives clinical type questions during lecture. Its so interesting! The test are fair. Currently taking BSC2085 during the summer with Pino. I must say that he is a great motivator. He doesn't really teach, classes contain him reading directly off of the power point. You must do a lot of studying on your own in order to do well. He gives lots of extra credit and is extremely helpful. Overall, he doesn't teach, but I like him.

Good choice for students that need to take Anatomy. Gives you many different ways to get grades including Homework, Classwork, Tests, Service Learning (Every extra hour is 1 extra point towards your final grade which helps out a lot. He will definitely help you pass the class if he sees your trying and come to class. Take him if you can but hurry!

Prof Pino knows his materials and what he is teaching. He pushes you to learn and be motivated. You got to study and try your best in his class, and you'll get an A. Exams based on the book, powerpoints, Angel website, and there is service learning (volunteer). Study, volunteer and answer questions in class for extra credits= an A in the class.

Dr. Pino is just awesome. He was a physician in Cuba so his knowledge of the material is right on. His test general come straight from the "Mastering Questions". Go over the mastering questions over and over and you will have a garunteed A. Service learning sucked though but other that that hes awesome. He wrote me a great recommendation letter

His tests for Anat. 1 are cake but not for Anat. 2. Do the Mastering and the extra credit hours! It will save you! The group project is a pain.

Dr. Pino by far is the best professor at MDC Kendal campus. I truly enjoyed taking his class. It's so hard to find such a passionate professor. He cares so much for his students! Take him!! He's a good professor. Wants you to pass the class. It's an easy class, he gives you homework and 4 tests that are based on the homework he gives you, meaning the same exact questions. So review everything on Mastering for the tests. He has a heavy accent, but either way he's pretty awesome.

pino honestly is awesome. he really wants his students to succeed. the only thing is that he has a real heavy cuban accent and can sometimes be hard to understand. Get ready to bring your laptops every class. Very interactive with Catalytics (online reviews in each class). This helps out tremendously with your extra credit and lots of online assignments that in the end can jump your grade up. I ended up reading the book which helped me more to understand better a difficult subject.

There will be a group science project for a grade which includes 10 hrs to do in a service learning classroom, lots of online assignments, 4 tests. I would say don't go by the powerpoints and study from the book, helped to understand better. Do the work and study a good amount and you will do great. Extra credit helps tremendously.

Pino is a great Professor and he knows what he is doing and talking about. BUT, his homework is extremely time consuming. Dont take him if you take a few Moreno other classes and/or work a lot, and dont take him if youre major isnt specifically medicine (nursing, pharmacy, etc) because that is what his class and himself revolves around.

Lets start off with this, If you hate attending class dont bother taking him. Theres a quiz every class based on the powerpoint covered in the prior class. Homework, 4 practicums, a bunch of quizzes. His teaching is incredibly clear and concise and his tests aren't very difficult at all if you just do your mastering assignments and take good skeletal notes (which he gives you). Great professor overall. Easy to reach, clear outline he goes above and beyond to make sure everyone passes sending out constant email reminders. I'm taking him again next semester. All tests can be taken twice, the mid term was proctored -he allowed notes and a retake but the proctor site did not so he curved the grade- final was not proctored.

This is the best teacher I've ever had. It really is worth it, first of all he is a great human being. He tells us winners, warriors and fighters. Professor Alfonso Pino class was manageable and clear on what needed to be turned in on that date. I enjoyed the material taught and what the class required to be done to complete the course. Not too much homework if you pace yourself and do it before hand. Test was to the point and was taught through mastering assignments. He would remind you.

If you are a visual learner then I highly recommend taking his class! He shows lots of videos and shares real-life applications based on his own experiences in the workforce (he was a doctor in Cuba). He also offers lots of extra credit opportunities, even in the exam.

Easy class, all done online via pearson mastering. 2 proctored test. and one research paper to write, very easy to get the paper done as he gives an outline of what he wants done, and he is an easy grader. You will be bombarded with reminder emails, but he will work with you with any issue you have. If you want an easy A take him!

Easy A class. My class was blended which meant Monday mandatory on campus, Wednesday live on zoom, Friday optional. He takes attendance via zoom, no camera needed. All work is done via pearson. Midterm and Final done on canvas. He will try his best to work with you and make sure you pass the class.

Had him for A&P 1 and took him again for A&P 2. I have no regrets! He gives you a lot of resources and is very encouraging! The homework can be time consuming, but he gives you lots of time to complete it. My only thing is that he's a PowerPoint reader, but he also incorperates real life examples, and draws diagrams.

Took his Human A&P online course in the summer of 2023. He answered emails within a timely manner and was very caring. He has a proctored midterm which he provides a study guide for. As long as you study from the guide you will pass. Assignments are easy and are due within a reasonable time.

Dr. Pino is a sweet and energetic professor. His class consists of a few pearson assignments, a midterm, and a final. His class is is hard to fail; you should be able to pass as long as you do the assignments. His teaching style is mostly reading off powerpoints and playing videos.
