i sat in front, took good notes, studied them and passed with flying colors. As long as you take really good notes and study them before the test that is ALL you need to get a good grade. I got an A so i think he was a good professor!

Just go to class, take all his notes (he has them on an overhead projector), and use that to study and you'll do fine on the tests. It's a fairly easy class. He's a nice guy. He trys to crack jokes that aren't really that funny.

This teacher gives tons and tons of notes(your hand will hurt from writing so much).If you don't take notes, then you will not pass.If you just take notes and really study them, then you're sure to pass the class with an A.

Good professor. Gives lot's of extra credit. Pop quizzes are also extra credit and they are open notes too, so it's impossible to fail them. If you do well on his tests and extra credit, you'll do fine. Doesn't really refer to the book, so use your in class notes to study for his tests.

Hes so funny- like he doesn't know he's being funny, and it makes it even better. If you study the notes and study guides- it is exactly the same on the tests. You take 3 mids (can drop one) and a final. Plus there is A LOT of extra credit- hes a cool guy!

Easy professor. 4 exams and you can drop your lowest score. you get 10- 5 point EXTRA CREDIT quizzes that are easy (straight out of the notes for that day, and you can use them) so thats 50 easy points added at the end of the sem. means u can get 80's on 2 test, and a 70 on another, drop the 4th and you end up with 100! (no need for book. PPT only)

Hes a good teacher. teaches good, his notes may be confusing. just study the notes for the tests. tests are hard cuz the subject is hard. he give lots of extra credit, just make sure you go to class. If you go to class and your a science major. you can easily get an A

Good professor. Tries to simplify difficult subject matter as much as he can. Also hints at what is important and what will be on the tests. Powerpoint notes every day. 3 midterms (can be challenging even after studying). Group & open note pop quizzes as extra credit. Reading will help reinforce everything from lectures especially if you want an A.

Dr. E. is the best teacher ever. Take him if you wanna learn something and rmember it. He helps you during the lecture and even waits untill you write down the power points. I would highly recomend him. He is great and very smart.

If you go to class, take & review your notes, & highlite the "hints" that may be on the test/exams, you're good. Attendance isnt mandatory, but if you miss his unannounced open-note group pop quiz, you just lost free points to help your grade. Funny Prof

I loved this class! he posts all his lecture slides online and you don't need the book all the test questions are straight from the notes. he gives A LOT of extra credit so you have to show up, they are unannounced. tests are not so easy so you have to learn every detail but good news is you don't need the book, just download his notes.

He has a funny accent but its understandable. Gives 4 tests, each worth 100 points. Drops the lowest grade and gives 40 extra credit points which comes from easy pop quizzes. Tests are hard and you must do a lot of studying to get a good grade. He doesn?t use the book, its all overhead notes which he posts on webct. he does give a few test answers

NICEST GUY IN THE WORLD!!! If you have any questions he will be happy to help you. Notes are all on webct, so you don't have to copy everything. Tests are hard, but what do you expect its physiology! 40extra credit points, which help out a great deal. Got a B+, but never got a b or a on any exams lol. take him!

He's alright. His tests are pretty hard, and they require a lot of studying which he barely reviews. He'll only review a set of 10 questions for a 50 question midterm. However, he does give a lot of extra credit, and he seems like a nice guy. I ended up getting a B and I did pretty terrible on the tests. Like I said, a lot of extra credit.

This was an easy A class! The professor was really helpful, he gives ALOT of extra credit ( gives 8 pop quiz, easy!) so attendance is MANDATORY! The class consists of 3 midterms, you can drop the lowest score, you have to take the midterm though. Don't need the textbook!!! Notes are on WebCT.

Prof.E is a cool guy. If u get a bad grade in his class it is entirely your own fault. He gives 50pts worth of EXTRA CREDIT QUIZES! 2 tests worth 120 each and a fianl worth 150. I got a B cause I was lazy. Only uses powerpoints no book. Go to class devote an hour to two hours per powerpoint presentation and you got yourself an A.Notes posted online

He is the sweetest man ever. He wants you to get a good grade. He gives about 40 extra credit points and if you don't want them no need to go to class. He has all the info online, don't need the textbook. His tests are word for word from the slides, just study them. Also he gives you like 10 questions that will be on the test. I got an A easily.

I have no idea how people passed his class! haha I didn't do so great, but that was my fault not Dr. E's. He has a monotone voice so if u chose him for a super early class, good luck he can make you fall asleep. Just read the material, look over pwrpoints and get the work done, u should be able to pass with a decent B, hopefully A. He's good :)

Never assigns any hw and does not take roll, except for the first few days. Sticks to the syllabus and curves the grades. Highly recommend!

He is a good professor that actually wants his students to do well. He tells you what is on the text and offers a lot of E.C. just make sure you go to class to know whats on the test and do all the extra credit!! RECOMMEND take him and you will enjoy going to class. Friendly and patient professor who is willing to explain anything you don't understand. Plenty of opportunities to improve your grade if you don't do well on exams. Refers to his own notes but if you're not a science person, it's probably best that you buy the textbook.

He skips a lot of things. tells you what is "going to be on the test" some things are most arent. His notes are sometimes opposite of the text book.

Dr. E Was an excellent bio professor! He makes the subject easy to understand and his exams are not difficult as long as you study his powerpoints. He gives a lot of extra credit! He just reads off the slides, but is pretty good at explaining them. He will point out what parts will most likely be on the test, so go to class. But this class is really about memorizing and understanding his slides. If you can memorize the slides, you'll pass with an A in the class. Also, highly recommend you do the extra credit.

This professor is amazing!!! He is super clear on what is going to be on the test and makes random jokes throughout the lectures. Do the extra credit, show up to class every day, and memorize the slides and you should pass his class with a grade better than a C.

Mr. E understands that we're not Bio majors, so he just wants us to pass. He gives a lot of extra credit and is a very sweet man. Adds extra credit to test scores. Still, this was one of the hardest classes I've taken at CSUN. SO MANY NOTES FROM HIS LECTURES. I would stay up all night studying and got one B and the rest A's on his tests.

He is my favorite professor in the biology department. I love Bio 281! However, I worked my butt off. A lot of memorizing so do not skip class. Just review the notes after class is over and you should be good. Textbook not required. Extra credit is always given. If I had to take Bio 281 again, I would take it with him. I don't regret it.

Your grade is completely based on how hard you study and memorize his power points. An A is not easy, but definitely doable. Two midterms, one final and lots of extra credit. He does reviews in class and a lot of the same questions end up on the tests. He also does 8 extra credit quizzes worth 5 points each (4 online and 4 in class)

Best professor at CSUN! he will do everything he can possibly do to make sure to learn and pass the class. No textbook required at all, he tells you not to buy it! all powerpoints that he provides. gives 16% extra credit by the end of the semester so just putting in a few hours of work the day before the exam will get you that A. Take him !!!!

I am proud I had this professor, I highly recommend that you record lectures it is very useful. No textbook required, he always made me laugh he's funny, prepare in advance, study little by little daily. Ask questions if you need to, he offers extra credit which is rare, so take advantage. DR. E is the best he is the GOAT

No book, no homework, only lectures easy extra credit pop quizzes and 3 tests. Since there's no book, all you have to study are his lectures on moodle or notes you take in class (which are difficult given his strong accent). Tests are tough but all the extra credit makes up for it in the end. Barely went to class, crammed the night before for an A-

This was my favorite class last semester. He is so funny and easy going. He gives so much extra credit it shouldn't be difficult to get a passing grade.

THE BEST BIO PROFESSOR EVER. I signed up thinking I was in for failure, but his lectures really help you understand what the heck this course consists of. It's a lot of material, but that's expected from a scientific course. Very enjoyable and he's an overall friendly man! TAKE HIM!

I recommend you to take him he really wants you to pass the class and move on, he gives many opportunities and the online quizzes help you pass the class. His lectures are a bit long but pay attention and study and you should be good, he also does a review before a test which is very helpful.

All that counts is tests &pop/online quizzes. I had to really study for 4 days prior to the test to even receive B or C, he's really nice &cracks jokes during lectures which is awesome because it's hard to stay awake. Visit him during office hours so he knows who you are when it comes to needing help at the end of the semester.

There is enough EC online & he will literally throw points to his students in class for EC too. The book is not needed. His accent is strong, but doesnt get in the way.

Class is easy to pass, but hard to get an A. He does not give out study guides , but he does give out pop quizzes for extra credit. Amazing and adorable Prof. that makes learning Biology fun and understandable. Gives a lot of extra credit and free EC on all tests. Very straight forward and he gives you the answers for the Midterms in his lecture. Only graded on 3 Midterms (Drops lowest Midterm) and Final. He gets sad when a class of 150 students doesn't show up to his lectures.

Content is kind of tough, tests are detailed, and his lectures are monotone and hard to sit through if you're not passionate about bio. If you don't come to class, study the slides and you'll be fine for sure.

Professor E is an amazing teacher, he is very knowledgeable, humble and caring. you don't need textbook because his slides are complete and clear to understand. I Believe it is a student's job to study and follow the rule. biology and anatomy are though classes and if some students don't study and fail, it's not the professor's fault.

Your grade is just based off exams and Extra Credit quizzes. You can drop 1 Midterm, and answers to the test are given during the lectures and review sessions. Class ends a couple of minutes early as well, and attendance is optional. Tests are curved and multiple choice. You won't regret taking Dr. E if you study for exams :)

Ali IS the best professor for this class. He is a great lecturer and adds humor to the content to make it fun. Don't be afraid to ask questions. The best advice I can give as a student of his is to try to go over what you would do in the lecture before the class, redraw pictures, and cover the material you saw a day after on your own or in a group.

Definitely recommend taking bio 101 with this professor. He offers so much extra credit which are quizzes from canvas that are easy. This class is based off of 3 midterms he drops your lowest score. And 1 final exam. He does not provide a study guide however as he lectures he tells you what will exactly be on the exam.

I would definitely recommend Professor Ebneshahidi when picking BIO101, he is a nice and easy professor. He also tells you everything that will be on upcoming quizzes and exams. Best Professor I had my freshman year of college for sure!

Good Professor. He gives quizzes that will help boost your grade. Attend lectures because he gives questions AND ANSWERS to the exams!! Which help boosted my grade from B to an A.

I would recommend taking him. There's no homework or study guide for exams. But every so often, at the end of class, he would show us questions AND answers for the following test. Drops lowest exam score, so it boosts your grade. Easy to follow, go to office hours if you really need it. Overall, a good professor if you can apply yourself easily.

The professor has a unique teaching style, but if you put in the effort and use resources like unstuck AI for exam prep, you can succeed. Attend lectures, review often, and take advantage of the extra credit opportunities.

I highly recommend taking him for physio!! Although he does read of the slides, he drops your lowest exam score and gives you free answers to some questions that will be asked on the exam during class. This can really boost your grade, as it did mine. Take him for physio. You just need invest yourself in the course and you'll do great!!

I would take his class because he is an easy professor and really does his best to help you (and your grade). Would recommend sitting in the front of the class to hear him better. Material is pretty straightforward. He drops lowest exam. As long as you study you'll do fine. Take his class. Truly recommend it!

Dr. Ali Ebneshahidi is a great professor, but only take him if you show up to the lectures. He drops your lowest exam score and has multiple extra credit opportunities. In class, he tells you what questions may be on the exam (most of the time this is accurate). There were 3 exams and a final. Only complaint is he reads off slides. I recommend him.

It's physio so there's a lot of material to study but if you show up to lecture he specifies what slides to study and what not to. He gives a ton of extra credit with open note quizzes and pop attendance. He's really helpful and although the lecture itself is a little boring you have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and get a good grade.

I would like to preface this: DO NOT take his class unless you are good at studying and retaining information in class. If you are, this is a great class where you will learn a lot and have an easy time. He gives you A LOT of extra credit and does not give any homework. The course had just 3 tests. If you are good at test taking, take this class.

His class was tough mostly because you had to learn all the material yourself. He doesn't provide any study material so you have to create your own. The quizzes are online so you can get 10/10 and at the end its an extra 40 points. Attend his classes because so many people missed out on an extra 20 points. Take the time to study!!!!
