Very cool and helpful teacher. He gives exra credits in his test. Full attendance and you will receive 5 extra credits every test.
find another professor. he decided to do this little experiment by giving lots of pop quizzes totaling %50 of the final grade. well it failed because many students failed. we were the lab rats and we were the ones who suffered. i don't like his teaching style at all. now i have to do the class again
He knows his stuff! However, I think that he totally sucks.. He knows nothing about teaching.. POP Qussiez.. What 50%, U must be kidding me..How in the world can you give that, when the damn class is sooooooooo hard. The worst part of it all, I really studied. Yet I have to retake it again!
i did not like his teaching style. the 2 test only approach made me nervous from the start, the majority of my class dropped including myself. to make matters worse he gave us the "i know it's not me speech", he said we just were not putting enough time into the class. he gave me the blues

He sucks a big fat one! all he does is draw graphs, and say UMMM KAYY after everything he says. I personally want to say NOOOO everytime he says that but something in me holds it back. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TAKING THIS CLASS!!!!!!!!
I took Mr Faegh for both classes and I do have to admit that this class is very difficult. Sometimes we have to remember that economics is not an easy subject so it might be difficult to rate a professor based on that. I did study more in this class than any other and I passed with a B in both classes. I've heard the other Eco profs were difficult
Do not take this class with him. I got a D in his and I have to take it again during summer. He does not know how to teach
He is a very nice teacher. You do have to study for his tests, but if you do, you will do well. I took both classes with him and I got A and B. It is a very interesting class.
Very hard class. He always has to be right on everything! Quizes are about 50% of the grade, TIP: he lets you get some worksheets from the library, MAKE COPIES OF THEM AND REALLY STUDY THEM!!! IT HELPS SO MUCH!!!!!!
One of the best teachers I've had. Explains the material well and if you read you can easily make an A. Lots of quizes and a few tests he drops the lowest grade. Wish he was teaching Econ 2302 next semester.
If you want to really learn economics take Dr. Faegh. He does not take any BS from anyone. He is willing to help you if you are willing to learn. But he very soon realizes if you bs with him and then loses his interest to take you seriouesly.

Hes a great teacher. Even all his tests are very very hard, you have to remember everything on the world. He always give extra credit on the tests. If you get C or D on the test, its not a big deal. At least you can get a B final grade.
I think he is a deeply troubled individual , but inwardly he is a nice person.A very arrogant and self conceited person,disrespectful to students and confrontational.But his class is easy,except for his demons.
Greatest instructor! I wish he taught other subjects. He knows how to explain his material. If you really want to learn Eco this is your guy. If you just want to breeze through with no work this is not he class for you.

I attended HCC. Most students there wanted to be pampered and Dr. Faegh is NOT for that. They all worked, did not study and wanted just to get by without any efforts and did not like the profrssor who did not buy their stories. Took both 2301 & 2302 with this teacher. Earned an A both times. He cares about his students, but requires due diligence. Read your book & do the homework to pass the tests. Would recommend.
He is disrespectful to the students. Very fund of himself and sometimes rude.Not recommended.

Worst teacher ever
I disagree with most of bad comments posted on. He explained very detailed each chapter, even each page of the book, with real and interesting examples. I like that he is pretty demanding; when students fall asleep in class, he asked them out very respectfully. That's good! You sleep at home not in class, so he demands respect in his class!
This teacher is kind of relax, if you simply don't ask questions in class, he does not advance to the next chapters, he finishes class so quickly, class regularly takes 2 hours and he spend just 1, sometimes just 45 mins. I felt scammed with this class, I really wanted to learn more things,but he doesn't give additional info, just from the book.

I took both Micro and Macro in the same semester. I enjoy that he doesn't waste your time just so you stay within the designated class time just for the heck of it. His test were kind of difficult because there were always questions I felt like I haven't worked before but I came out with an A in both after his 10% extra credit.
Great professor. Dr Faegh is straight forward in his lectures. If you have read the chapters you are assigned to in your class, you should be fine. He knows his material. He asks questions to students in between and after lectures. He has a great attitude towards his students. My advice is to be engaged in class discussions. They are fun. In all study your notes/books and learn the concepts explained in class and you'll make an A. Took him for 2301/2302.
He knows his stuff and cares about you very much. But do not try to lie to hom or try tp fool him. Just simply ask for help anf he will go the extra mile for you. He spent so much time teaching me things I should have known before taking his class. I witnessed him helping students of othereconomics courses that were not even his students.
The best professor to take an online class.Always answers his email and get back withyou. You want a good grade take him on line.

He is so easy! His examples make sense, and he's extremely easy to approach when it comes to questions. Whether in class or after.
As a person, I really love this professor. Very sweet, funny, and gives great examples to help you relate the material to your life. However, I found studying for the tests to be difficult because it felt like the questions were worded in a way that didn't relate to how we'd learned the material. He is easygoing but, if you take him, study hard.

I am not sure if I like him or not, I am an online student and so far he has made me question his ability to work with students online, he wants us to check in to class every morning, if I was able to do that I would be on campus not on-line. I read my book but the question asked on the pre test confusing to me.
Very easy if you just do a little bit of work. I couldn't understand everything from just listening to the lecture but the lectures helped me understand the book when I sat down and read it. The class is not very structured. Just a few tests,no homework, so it doesn't take up a lot of time. Hes willing to help if you ask.
Okay professor. Grade based on only 3 tests (drops lowest test grade) and a final. The sample tests on his website are the exact same questions as those on the first 3 tests. The final has 60%+ of the questions from the sample tests. Final not cumulative. Professor cares and teaches in more detail than needed, but tests don't reflect lecture well.
Don't take him. He is rude and raciss. I received a C. His test do not correspond with his lectures and he also has a heavy accent, which makes it difficult to understand him. Only 4 test, no other assignments. He is not helpful at all and he thinks he has to be right all the time. DON'T TAKE HIM IF YOU LOVE YOUR GPA
mr faegh is a perfect teacher. he teach everything very good and clear. u do not need a book at all. there are 3 major test and a final. I never opened a book and I made A IN akll my test. because he gives you sample test before the test that are exactly the test. the sample test are 30 multiply question super easy.
If you listen to his lecture and come to class and do his reviews, you will make an A. He drops the lowest grade. He gives credit if you speak to him. No hard at all. I used mt friends review and framed and i got an A. Thanks
Unfortunately, he is the worst instructor ever for being rude and not helpful.I just dropped this class online because the material was so hard and Mr. Ali complicated it more with his difficult exams. I was so stressed when I was taking this class and upset. I really have started to hate economy. Please do not take him online.
Self-motivated, comprehensive reading, take notes, yet earning grades in exams are just average (tests are tough). So final exam needs to make 72 or more for a C. But Prof. Faegh surprises me with a sneak-attack (he triples the # of questions). 150 questions on 1 and half hour. My overall GPA is 3.3 before this class
I took Macro online. First 3 tests weren't that bad; most of his review questions are the exact same as the tests. However, here is the kicker -- HIS FINAL was BRUTAL! First 3 tests are 50 questions each for 2 hours. His final was 150 questions for 1.5 hours. How does that even make sense??? I hope he curves the final because it was ridiculous.
DO NOT TAKE. The final exam is 150 questions and only 90 minutes to complete it. Test problems are not found in the book. You will not make an A or B. Tests are mostly mathematical problems and formulas, but they are scrambled up to be super hard. The formulas are not covered in the book in the format he wants on the exams. No vocab on test all MTH

So to clarify for the professor and to be fair, regarding the 150 questions on the final exam - it turns out it was a clericalcomputerhuman error. He meant to put only 50 questions but somehow the system registered 150 questions. He corrected the mistake and was fair to everyone.
Took him online. This class is pretty easy. Just read the material and make sure to do the practice tests he gives you and you should do very well. Loved this class. I wish I could have taken him for Econ 2, but unfortunately he was not available. :(
Took his Econ 1 class online. This class was easy. We had 4 tests the entire semester. I wish I was able to take his Econ 2 class 2nd start, but he wasn't available. I highly recommend this professor. Do not take him if you are a bad tester and rely on lots of homework, extra credit, etc. to pass your class. Awesome class!
This course is online. Google is your best friend for the tests. The final exam is not that easy. Using the textbook really helps.
All of his tests are online except the final, which are all hard by the way. He doesn't really teach much bc everything is in power points so you have to go home and read the chapters. No homework or quizzes so if you fail your tests you fail the class. Gives you extra credit for each test if you don't miss class

I took this class online so there was nothing but reading + powerpoints to accompany the chapters in the textbook. Only 4 exams make up your grade for the class, no extra credit. I definitely recommend completing the assignments in Connect online to practice what you've read even though they don't "count," they for sure help when it's test time.
Professor Faegh was a good guy and gave great lectures. He use to teach at University so he has that mindset. Its an easy class, 3 tests are online and you can google the answers. FInal exam is in class but if you memorize the sample tests you will make an easy A. Don't bother asking for help, he feels you should know everything. Easy A for me.
This class has no assignments only 3 tests for the entire semester. That was totally awesome. You just have to keep up with the dates for the test. This worked so well with my work schedule. No extra assignments. I wish all teachers were this way. Have to study tho, Economics is hard.
DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!!! He is the worst professor, I have ever taken. He does not like his job, he doesn't like answering questions, very rude! I made a huge mistake by taking him, and he is not a nice person, very mean! And he has only 3 tests which are online and you can take at home, they are very hard and final, very bad greader!
Although this ECON is hard to understand, he made the class simple. Only 3 tests(all online) and one FE in person(ours was only over 2 chapters!) Gives 5 pts extra credit for perfect attendance. Just read the powerpoints and DO THE REVIEWS to prep for ALL the exams. Exams are almost exactly the same as the reviews. If all fails, google is your BF.
Professor Faegh is a very nice person i missed a few classes and he was very understanding towards it EASY class Easy A if you show up 3 tests All ONLINE drops the lowest and final in class very easy only 2 chapters 3 at the most and i am taking him again this semester for ECON 2302.
This professor could have been better if he assigned homework on the connect platform like how he assigned his tests. Instead, you are left to do the homework from the book on your own(optional) without any help. This can be tricky to truly understand what the tests are all about. I got a B, but I feel like I could have received an A w/ connect HW!
I took this class online and he's very slow in responding email so don't expect him to send him email becuz he's doesn't respond that much he doesn't seem to care about the students and there is no assignments and no extra credits just power points so make up all ur exams Google all ur answers.
I took this class as a summer session and the work was difficult! The times tests are less than 2 hours to answer between 50-60 questions. I was less than 2 points away from a "C" and he refused to offer any extra credit. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROFESSOR!
I took her for Econ 1 & 2 this semester. She is a tough grader. She stated the question on the test will be on connect, as long as you practice on connect you'll past my class. Don't listen to her she give 50 question per exams less than 90 mins. In those 50 question only 10 were from connect the others your on your own. 3 days to reply back.
The equivalent to a traditional classroom setting for this professor would be him coming in on the 1st day of class and doing the following: "Hello! My name is Professor Blah. I am providing you the syllabus and the PowerPoints from the textbook company. Make sure you buy the book and online access. Here's some videos. See you during the exams."

3 tests, 1 lowest score will be drops. Actual test isn't always compatible with sample tests or quizzes so reading is a must. Be careful of the writing assignment he grades very harsh and critiques the paper for missing stuff that wasn't discussed in the instructions. No extra credit opportunities.
Wow. Where do I begin? I've taken many online courses and this was by far was a terrible experience. If you don't read each chapter 2-3 times, good luck. I had to get a tutor after the first test because all of the connect help in the world and I could never get higher than a low B. The paper he gives? Yeah, good luck. I put blood sweat and tears.

I took his second 8 week session. His syllabus are very clear from the beginning so don't ask questions he already gave you the answer to. Get ready to read! 3 midterms and 1 final and drops the lowest score. One page paper assignment. This class is not easy so make sure that you get tutoring if you are taking it online (chegg com or hcc campus).
All test questions are banked and unoriginal. Tests can be very hard and you need to take your time on them. I am a Economic major and aced every course except this one due to terrible online resources that dont work half the time and lack of help from the instructor. Pretty disappointing.
Students be prepared to have a midterm a week after classes start. He give a tremendous amount of homework quizzes and inquizitives. I advise that you lock in all midterm dates and major exams because the teacher will have not help you when you encounter issues with the test or wifi. He has a smart mouth and his energy is very negative.
I never took an economics class so I was very lost half the time. He just assigns the work and youre pretty much on your own. Whenever I encountered a problem I would address it to him and he would snarl. He lazy and hes not a great professor at all. He doesnt recognize hard work or a struggling student. When I email him he barely replies back.
Everything was pretty simple except the professor. I am a person of curiosity and when I email him. His responses are negative and once he answers your question and you have a rebuttal, he wont bother to email you back. Honestly he should retire
If you never took an online course and this will be one of your firsts, dont take it. The teacher is careless about your problems and he claims to do everything based on fairness of his students. I thought online classes would be easier because I could work on work from different courses at the same time but he has changed my perspective. ��������

This professor is horrible, one of the most terrible ones ever. Very unprofessional, not empathetic, terrible communicator. Run! He is the definition of just shows up for a check. Find you another economics professor, there is way better choices out there: not worth stressing over. The fact HCC has him employed speaks volumes on the HCC system.
A simple class, just do the course work which has unlimited attempts. Then do the test which is literally the course work all over again. Deadlines are not optional, make sure you are on top of things.
Quiz for each chapter and 3 exams. Both are multiple-choice questions, and they are easy. You can find the answers online. And there are extra points. Easy A class. Take him!!

This professor rarely replies to students' messages and often fails to complete his tasks.
This was my first B in a college class. The tests weren't necessarily hard, but there were questions that the program marked wrong and he wouldn't fix the grade to reflect that. He also only gives the extra credit if 70% of the class does the survey at the end of the semester. I got an 89 overall so I was annoyed he wouldnt fix test scores.
The exams resemble the assignments and Smartbook assignments very loosely. Despite rigid studying of the assignments and smartbook chapters, no amount can aid you in what comes on the exam. No information about any of the exams or anything either. Exams require camera and proctoring. Dumped with a bunch of assignments, no direction, tough exams.
The class was heavy and professor doesn't exist. He wouldn't curve even if you need 1 extra grade. Class is manageable.
