Very nice and very helpful. You'll learn a lot if you do homework, but the answers are in the back of the book if u don't want to learn. Tests are very easy if you study for a short time.

Awsome teacher really cares for her students. she is very down to earth. i loved the class spanish was hard for me but the class was the best class i have been in.

ali is my fave teacher in OCC! she really is passionate in teaching. the class never gets boring. she always makes sure that everybody is participating which is really cool. make sure you do the weekly notes because you get a 1% for that and if you make 3 pages of your notes, you get a 2%. easy class as long as you pay attention and do your work!

Teacher is a very cool person but the student must be flexible and outgoing or the class will be mostly uncomfortable. Fails to go over a few key area well. Really helps if you've taken Spanish before, if not you'll struggle a lot, but it's very possible for a struggling student to get an A so long as you show up, participate, and do the work.

She is hilarious! You can get an A if you get a B or higher on tests and she drops the lowest one. Just come to class and you'll be just fine. Her teaching style is based on participating and group activities, so if you're not into that then of course you won't like the class.

She's incredible. I thought her Spanish class was a whole lot easier than the Spanish I took at my high school. You need to attend class all the time so that you do not get behind in work because what she lectures will definitely be on the tests.

This is an easy 5 unit class and she knows it, that's why she gives lots of homework to make up for the easiness. She's cool and you have fun in her class, but it is truly an intro class, if you already know the language you will be really bored. I like her but her grade system for homework could improve. Ali is so much different than any professor I ever took at Coast. She has an intoxicating personality and truly loves life! Exams 1-3 are super super easy but the final is 140 questions and extremely hard; so make sure you do well on the first 3 exams. As long as you study for them you'll get A's. She doesn't accept late homework so be on time but she does give you 4 free homework points to use. 3 tests (super easy if you go to her reviews) & a 140 question final that is pretty hard. Took for her for 180 and the class was very easy. She gives homework every week, but it's really easy. Just copy the answers from the back and pretend you got some wrong. She gives a review before every test and it is exactly the same as the review. Bring a snack cause she lets you eat in class. Lets the class leave early.

If you're interested in learning about the Spanish and Latin cultures, learn the language of Spanish and actually work for it, I would recommend taking her class. Professor Ali made my first semester @ OCC so memorable and fun!! Not a Spanish speaker whatsoever and I ended up with an A+ in her class. Shes willing to help you with absolutely anything and is super clear on all her assignments. Theres homework all the time but its just textbook work, so its easy to fulfill. Any gem goes beyond actual teaching. Prof. Ali is a gem as a human being. She will love you as a student and as a human no matter your background. She will ask about your day and give you much inspiration. Many worry about the actual Spanish; just write down the conjugations and you will do just fine. overall, she's a great spanish teacher. she's just very very keen on attendance and does not tolerant more than a few absences. she also strictly does oral exams (probably because of the pandemic, mainly) but she's pretty chill. just be careful with keeping track of attendance and keeping up with homework.

She's very nice and laid back. She gave homework every week which usually was just copying her essays and sending her pictures of it. Attendance is mandatory you can miss like 3 days without penalty. Had oral exams during class which you had to do in front of everyone. Oral exams were usually a few minutes long (per person).

Profesora Muelas is a sweetheart! She makes interactions personal and is very fun to listen to. I am new to Spanish and it was easy to work for my A. She prepares you well for every oral exam and the more you participate, the more you'll get out of the class!
