he is a very nice teacher..i would say amazing i have no background in computers but this course was a mandatory foe me..and i m sooooooooo glad i took him as my teacher. He really helps the students and is a very friendly and understanding tecaher. I RECCOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN PROGRAMMING COURSES.

He is a very good man, kind and understanding soul. He teaches you all the short cutts and is a very helpful individual, he is very cool about you being late he will not count you late very often. I recommend him but you must do the work in order to get a passing grade.

Exceptionally help full , keep in touch with students, and willing to help other that office hrs.

Taking COSC1436 & COSC1437 with him online. He had always interaction with class, answered my questions always, made himself 1day/week available for discussion at school. His online materials are hard but useful for ones that want to learn programming. Show that you are want to learn, he will help you all the way. Take him if you want to learn.

There is alot of work for this course, and instructions are the same no matter who the professor is. But when it comes to grading he is AWESOME! Trust me take only him. The way he grades will be stress free!

I use MS office daily, but he explains Excel & Access so clearly, I recommend him very much, I am taking advanced Access with him as well. I took the course during summer, he made it truly fun and manageable.

Honestly, this professor's only flaw is that he only teaches a few classes. I wholeheartedly suggest him for anybody.

Professor Nikzad was the greatest. He is very kind and genuinely cares. If you don't understand a concept, he'll come to you and explain it to you one-on-one. He answers emails promptly and in general is very approachable. He'd go out of his way for any of his students. I totally recommend taking having him as a professor.

Professor Nikzad is Very fair, responsive, and is willing to go one step further to help you understand subject matters. He always accommodate you to retake quiz, submit your assignments if you have a legitimate excuse. Probably the best professor I have ever had, honestly. If you participate a lot, ask questions, get involved, and show a general interest in the subject, he will help you out a TON. I'm very interested in the classes content so it wasn't a hard class for me. Many people dropped out of the class, but I don't know why. He explains things very well.

Professor Nikzad is a great instructor. Since it is an online course, you need take time to read the material and practice by yourself. Just let him know whenever you need help, and he will make the subject much easier to understand.

Everything with this professor was great save for two: 1) His test WILL NOT be sent out, so if you're a distance education student, be ready to make a pilgrimage out to HCC Spring Branch 2) His test involves a handwritten (like on paper) coding section, which seems strange to me.

I took two courses with him in past semester, I study hard, I did all quizzes and programs, I did great on finals, and all reviews mentioned FINAL WAS HARD. I disagree. Yes, it is ridicules, Hard, Difficult if you just depend on quizzes. He will assistance all the way, if he see a sign of interest in you.

Took him online for COSC 2425. Two online test and finals at testing center. He will definitely help you if you go and speak to him. Very knowledgeable and will make you work for it. Quizzes and assignments prepare you for the tests as well as final exams. He is one of the most helpful professor I have come across at HCC.

Long HW but never graded. READ book and practice examples for math and logic problems - need for quiz/exam. 5-10min presentation on your selection of a topic required even for online at end of semester. Instructor flexible and responsive - he cares about the class. Lots of material, harder than intro programming classes.

This is my second course with him , he is truly caring for you to learn.

Computer organization was really easy with this professor. 10 quizzes, 2 tests and final exam. All was in lockdown browser. There is also a project, which is a powerpoint on whatever subject you pick that he provides. I was in the second start so this class was traditionally online without zoom. I was recommend a class where he lectures it. 10/10

On the contrary, I found him very organize and helpful. You need to reach out get help, read textbook, I took two courses with him. He is a genuine professor that cares what you learn.

I am so happy to have professor Nikzad as my coding instructor. I enjoyed his lecture and comments. He is always available. I wished I had him as in person course.

I personally find Mr. Nikzads lectures to be entertaining and informative. He's understanding and easy going and on top of that he's down to earth and easy going. He's definitely the best professor I've ever had.

I took him for Data Structures in C++ , he is by far my fav professor. Lectures were interesting and engaging, assignments clear. If you are like me, and come from a java background, get ready to PUT IN THE WORK. C++ is FAR more in-depth than java/python. READ THE TEXT BOOK! This class made me fall in love with c++ I even began to code in my dreams

Tip: For those who plan on transferring to U of H , they only accept Data Structures in C++

He was a great teacher but the Syllabus had nothing to do with what he told us. I like on the first exam we review 11, 12, and chapter 15 on the syllabus it didn't say were testing over 10 - 15, a lot of people had to email about how unfair the exam. The programs aren't even a grade.

Professor Ali is a must-take if you want to learn. He explained concepts that were straightforward to understand. His grading system is special and It could lead you to a situation like an A or an F (a Final below 60% is automatically an F). Don't mess up the final then you will have a class that can boost your GPA and also actually learn.

Tough but rewarding class. Professor Nikzad's lectures are engaging, and the assignments really solidify the C++ concepts. Unstuck ai was a lifesaver for practice questions. Definitely take this if you're serious about improving your coding skills.

This programming course is well-structured and easy to follow, making complex concepts approachable for beginners. The hands-on projects and clear explanations really help reinforce learning and build practical skills. After having programming 2 it was refreshing to finally get hands-on and write real code again. I love his course materials.
