He has a very strong accent so if you really want to know what he is talking about in lectures, u have to sit in the front cos if u sit at the back, his voice will be like a mumble and after a while, u will give up in finding out what he's saying. Easy tests. Tests similar to HW Qs. HW answers can be found in the book. Very helpful Prof. Take him!!

Not a good teacher, but not a bad one either. Has heavy accent that can make understanding a little difficult but he tries. As long as you read the book, homework and tests should be fairly easy and straightforward. BOOK IS A MUST! HW comes straight frm book and tests are straight frm HW. Use the book and u shud be fine. Professor Shou is willing to help students whenever they need it and when they ask for it. His class was extremely difficult for me because economics is just so boring, but after speaking to him and receiving help from him I was able to bring my grade up and understand the material. He is super understanding about grades just talk to him.

Professor Shoukou is an 'ok' professor. Not the worst, but not extraordinary. His lectures, though dull at times, can help you understand economics a little better. The tests weren't difficult because they were about the same things covered in homework, and he allowed a sheet of paper. Overall, take him if you aren't majoring in Econ.

As long as you do all the online homework, you should be able to get an A in the class. You should keep up with it for the most part, but he'll be lenient and push back some of the due dates if you miss a few. Tests allow one page of notes, and is all multiple choice; questions will be pretty hard though. Homework is a large chunk of the grade.

Many of the tests and homework stuff have a quizlet with the questions and answers, and you have multiple attempts to do the homework. Homework is really easy and takes about 10 minutes. For the test I learned just doing the test practice study guide and looking for online flashcards is the way.

Caveat: this was an online class over the summer. The instructor had some audio issues that never got fixed during the class even though it was pointed out a few times. During lectures, the instructor read off slides that summarized the textbook chapters while giving tangentially related examples. I regretted every time I opened a zoom meeting.

I took this course over the summer and as expected the workload volume was high with daily readings/several quizzes on top of other occasional assignments. The main issue is that the class is extremely boring and there's absolutely no wiggle room for late work. However, he's extremely clear about expectations and homework is very easy.

ECON-100 wasn't exceptionally difficult or excellent. I'd say it's average. The final exam covers 7 different chapters and was available for 24 hours. It's monitored with Proctorio (reset your device if you have issues like me lol). It was open book and open notes. I'm taking another econ class with the same prof next sem.

Mr.Shokouh is a nice guy, means well, but his class is incredibly boring. Talks in a very low, monotone voice for his lectures. Not very engaging, uses boring powerpoint lectures. Tests in class he's on his phone nearly the whole time so you can try to cheat at your own risk. I'd try to find another professor if you want something w/ more energy

Initially excited, ended up disappointed. Don't really learn much, the teacher doesn't seem motivated to teach even during zoom meetings. Discussions graded based on how close you got word for word on his opinion of the subject. He is very unclear in email and responses are always choppy and kept to few words as possible. Doesn't want to help.
